not gonna lie that last line is the weirdest sentence ive seen in a while
steam mod support is fine if a game launches with it, but when you release it this far into development you just end up with fragmented mod bases
and we already have that with moddrop, nexus, and the forums

I wondered the same thing with a different game and I couldn't understand why all of the series veterans were totally against it
and sure enough it got mod support about a year in, and now things are all over the place
plus the workshop support there actually interferes with loading mods elsewhere, but that's more of a dev issue
From my Skyrim days, seems like Steam Workshop can also sometimes be wonky, although I never tried it

It works, but you'll have problems if you're trying to turn into a dragon mid-game.
Because you'll have to do it through GetGlam and I can tell you from experience GG hasn't played well with Anthro Farmer for ages.

hi! 👋 i was just wondering if anyone has experience with SMAPI on mac stopping the game from loading? i installed it as per the instructions, but when i go into steam and hit "play" it says it's loading for a second or two, then stops like nothing ever happened.

Does the multiple spouses mod change the spouse position in the bed? I ask cause I'm married to Abigail, and she's always completely under the sheets. Shouldn't her head be at least be showing at the head of the bed?

Suddenly getting an error message in smapi and idk why.... https://smapi.io/log/3a08b8d328cf40daa795a2bc3849aa5b The mods I updated today were CJB cheats menu, json assets, spacecore, tree transplant, and vibrant pastoral recolor. The last one I tried taking out to see if that made a difference but same error as soon as the save file is loaded
I mean it's more a warning than an error but I didnt see it before today

I never saw any changes in the house from rustic interiors
Ended up using this and it comes close. At least tones down the starting wallpaper and floor from what I've seen. Haven't tried any others yet
From what I understand, Rustic only touches the tilesheets used to build the world, and the house uses the wallpaper and flooring system instead.
Barns and other buildings probably do get recorded by Rustic though
I know it says it does all interiors but theres a config to turn off everything but the stuff inside your house

The majority of mods can be dropped in mid playthrough. They'll usually indicate on instructions if they can't
Automatic collection and kegging of tree fruits is nice

It's honestly only an issue with mods that need tweaks like SVE or other farm mods.
And with JA mods, you run the risk of the JA item ID shuffle (AKA Jason Shuffle
) but even that doesn't happen every time
I stareted with the beach farm, so I just used it as an orchard
Makes sense, I rely so much on sprinklers that I wouldnt be able to handle my usual giant crop fields there so orchards + kegs sound lovely
It's nice, every week or so I just pick up the wine produce of my entire farm and drop it into a cask

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.
ZaneYork does accept pull requests if you are able to submit a fix. You can also check the repo for updates for when a new version is released. https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer
Theres a rumor the android port will be updated within a few weeks, but there's no evidence other than one reddit comment so far

if you're using the BFAV version from the old starbound forums, it's not working, that's a known issue

the only mods that are put on the compat list are SMAPI mods, so it won't include content packs or xnb mods
you kinda have to check the comments/bugs tabs in that case
and if that doesn't work you can either test it out yourself or ask around here

I hope this is the right place to post, but I had a question about the Stardew Valley Expanded - Immersive Farm mod. There is a custom shed on the immersive farm map that you need to provide resources to repair. I did so in a multiplayer game, and while I see the repaired shed ( I am host), noone else does, they see the initial shed and the bins to collect the resources to repair it. I am wondering if this is a feature to provide private space, or a bug

Prismatic Tools looks like it only patches the regular furnace so it isn't supposed to affect Automate's ability to handle them

if it's a duplicate item issue it's very easy to tell. there will be a block of red somewhere that says "ItemBlah just added by PackName, already added by OtherPack!" or there will be an error with something about ginger, taro root, banana, mango, or banana pudding

I would start with updating these. If you did then do you have an updated log? Otherwise you didn’t add them to your mods folder correctly

The only mod I made myself was one that added a sign to the boarding house entrance haha! Once Ridgeside released I asked Raf if I could help him out with the dialogue. From there I slowly learned more and now I'm part of a lot more than just fixing typos 😄
I like (assisting people with) making mods because I think mods provide an opportunity for the community to share the vision of the game developer: Having people enjoy the game! 😄

Both Android SMAPI ports are currently broken. ZaneYork is aware of the issue. There is no ETA for a fix. A large portion of the graphics code got abruptly changed which caused the port to break.
ZaneYork does accept pull requests if you are able to submit a fix. You can also check the repo for updates for when a new version is released. https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer

Bushes are controlled by the map. But it might I spose. I've had trees regrowing when I renove them in a patch.

But bushes wont regrow the way trees do.
there are things with random seed, but there are certain things about maps, in this case the bushes, that are baked into the map file itself

boooo gender neutrality mod requires smapi 3.8.2 but supposedly custom furniture still works on 3.8.1 so i have to sacrifice one or the other 😔

Actually I'm not sure if deleting CF without deleting the furniture in-game first would mess up your game. You can make a backup of your save file, and try doing that first, that way you dont need to spend time sorting through all your furniture
if it doesnt work you can just restore your previous save
