fast animations did update along with a lot of pathos mods overnight, did u got those?

that version of bonsters is after it got updated to 1.5, antisocial npcs isnt going nuts, its just a general chirp when you change screens (this log the person looks to have played for quite a while, as well as went back to title once)
it really just looks like a flat oom error
the Cecilia issue is just a return to title one
they appear to have returned to ttitle 3 times
nod, its not an issue as such, but just indicates they changed save files/returned
which in theory might add to memory use

Like when I pressed escape, it would make the sound but the menu wouldn't come up.

Yep, it's always good to make sure all the mods are up to date first. Because that sometimes can throw others in a weird spiral.
u are supposed to drop them in the [CP] Cuter Fatter Animals\assets
Also if I'm not mistaken there's the file path listed in the CP errors for where the png files can go? 'assets\chonkin_blue_nowattle.png'.

you can use Vortex or ModDrop, but i hard recommend u stay away from those
it's just that downloading/updating my probably near a hundred mods one by one on nexus with their "premium" shoved in ur face everytime gets annoying

If you really want,u can try the mod loaders, but they will make your life harder down the road, when you run into mods u can only install manually, bad installation, and bad update tracking in general

I'm reading the Chinese instructions, it's more detailed there
so I'm using SVE and my game is hanging when I sleep on the 28th of spring. No error or crash, just hangs and doesn't load. Once in a while it will finally load after like 20 minutes but most of the time it just endlessly hangs. Unfortunately I should have been in bed 2 hours ago so I can't really try anything else tonight but if anyone knows a fix I could try tomorrow it will be greatly appreciated.

@warm lagoon if you have nexus mod manager you can have it do it like that--- otherwise just uninstall your current version and install the new one!
@outer turret Absolutely nothing. I stripped all other mods (that aren't essential to SVE), started a fresh save, and slept all the way to the 28th. It hung for about 18 minutes, then finally saved, and locked up completely. Loaded back in and was on Summer 1st, so I slept all the way to the 28th again, slept, and now it's hanging again in the transition to fall.

yeah RaM has existed for a while, note if you use it and any of the seasonal villager things you need to do some search+replace
it works by moving robin's sprite to a new custom npc 'RaM' and then putting a different sprite on the actual Robin and changing it into a different character
so you need to change the Robin tokens to RaM tokens or it will look, very weird
that is super cool, i actually really like Robin, i think she has a very unique personality, and she is always helping you, and building your stuff
it makes you feel like you actually have a connection with her, cause the other relations seem more "manufactured"

Yep, or that they may not be update to work with 1.5
you need to first install SMAPI, the stardew valley modding API, then you can move the contents of the mod folder to the Mods folder that will be created
also this mod in particular is not yet working with 1.5, but there is a alternative, you can use Data Layers instead

you probably shouldn't, mod loaders can cause a lot of problems
note you need to downgrade to spacecore 1.4 to use that Peter

SMAPI tracks if a mod has an update or not, it's more recommended that way, mod loaders are more tricky and can cause problems down the line
which means no magic/mana bar if you have it, and no mushroom accumulator thingy
magic is broken right now anyway isn't it?
there's a version that 'works' on spaces server
but it relies on 1.5+, it throws up with 1.4
blueberry's mushroom tree box thingy also requires 1.5+, nothing else I've found hard requires it thus far
I do really like the idea of itembags though, I currently have it as well as most of the mod bags definitions
item bags is a amazing mod, i highly recommend it, but i'm not using it until the spacecore/pytk conflict is resolved

there are a lot of frameworks that change the save in a way that you cannot remove them, but you can probably still salvage your save by updating the mods

search for alternative, there's like, 5 spots
delete that line, and make sure the line before it is not trailing a comma

it should be something like spring=true, alternativeportrait=false you want it to jsut read spring=true with no trailing comma

I think you actually only need the boarding house version, and not splice them
yeah, i keep downloading both thinking the boarding house version is just a patch and not the whole mod XD
which I think is actually the root of the problem, he probably removed the alternative config from the mod entirely, but didnt update the compat one

all this shed mods are...disappointing to say the least, i tried to made some changes to one of them, but was very lost in tiled
i used to use one of andro's mods that gave a shed a huge basement and a small attic. unfortunately, it requires Advanced Location Loader, which is no longer supported... and all andro's location mods broke a few SDV versions ago

it splits the crafting menu into sensible tabs based on function such as Baits on Fishing tab, Fertilizer on Farming tab etc.

Just a handful of mods and all of a sudden your crafting page is garbage
There is a similar thing for cooking though, and it's a lifesaver
it works, select a empty slot in your inventory, click in chest

it took a while but apparently it was formerly known as "Better Crafting" and then "CraftTabs" but then the maker hid it and said that they will remake one in the future, that was on february 2020..

huh, something happened with IF2R last night. I have 1.12.4, but vortex is saying it's out of date and the current nexus version is back to 1.12.3

yeah, all I can say is to keep an eye out for another IF update soon. I know flash said there was still work to do after the fix yesterday, and he must be doing something if the new version was reverted at some point

@slender glen I believe if you get/have Better Ranching, a horse whistle is included, and it can call your horse to the island where you are

hey guys, i'm having a weird bug with the lookup anything mod, @tired brook said to ping him here, but if anyone else knows how to fix it, it would be great. I just started using the mod and everything in it works fine, except for when when i open a save file, the file selection music keeps playing after i enter the farm and doesn't seem to stop. Tried to play a whole day and do random stuff like enter the mines to see if the music would change, but it didn't. This bug stopped happening when i deleted the 'lookup anything' folder in the 'mods' folder.

it's possible it's either optional, or it isn't actually marked as a dependency in the manifest. one of those is okay, the other could lead to trouble
but it sounds like all it's going to mean is that she won't show up in events
portraiture is optional depending on what version you get
there is a HD portrait version of that npc
but it isnt really needed

that being said, Get Glam has its own issues, so be aware of that if you're using it

Hi everybody. I am having an issue with an existing mod - an XNB that's been converted for content patcher that throws up a string of loading errors when I start the game. Is this the right place to ask for some help getting it working again or would 'making-mods' be more appropriate? I am not a modder myself so I was not sure which I should post in as I don't really know what I am doing with making mods myself. (I am kind of hoping I just did something wrong on the install.)

Remy, there was an autograbber mod that caused problems with the buried/gatherable walnuts, but if you don't have such a mod that is not your problem. Note that there is only a fixed amount of walnuts in the game though so we can't say for certain what your problem is without more information
yellow warnings should be okay. those are warnings from smapi 3.8.2 that the maps should fix eventually as far as having clean code, but they shouldn't be affecting anything

Firallia, if you are the mod author, you'll want to reorder the tilesheets on the map mod; if you are just a mod user, forward that info to the author

Firallia, Yeah, if it is SVE maps you'll just have to wait for Flash to update them. As long as your game isn't behaving abnormally you can ignore those warnings for now

Hey I halfway fixed it! The 'Data' folder was mis-identified as 'Datas' plural all throughout the content.json and when I find-replaced it with Data everything seems to be running now save the one Maru XNB that I think is just conflicting with the dialogue update I already installed. Thank you so much for the help! I just didn't know how the heck to look at the data properly to get a grip on what was happening.

Yeah looks like the Steam installation needs to be fixed
so i completely removed the mod that had that sprite for the bed, but now its happening to the vanilla bed sprite

It seems like something is patching over the tilesheet where that corner of the bed is stored. You can try temporarily loading your save without content mods to see if it displays correctly.

For everyone having an error and the game crashing the day after purchasing the bug net - it actually isn't this mod causing it. At the moment there's a severe compatibility problem between PyTK and SpaceCore, and other mods are having the same issue because of it (i.e Animal Husbandry.)

That's normal if you're using a replacement farm. Those are warnings and they shouldnt be affecting your game

don't worry, it's not just an easy plug and play system for the most part
do you know where the assets\skins folder is inside of Adopt n Skin?

so the individual animal folders in there are just there for organization's sake
what's important is that each different skin is named something like BrownCow_1, BrownCow_2, etc
when you copy in the new replacement skins, you have to make sure they're named animal_1, _2, and so on and that they don't overlap
the animal part of the name is important

Okay, so, for example, I have a lot of cat skins. What do I do with them? Just put them in the folder? Like put a folder in there named 'cat' and stick the cat skins in it?
yes. and then you have to make sure that the _1, _2, _3, etc. are all unique (and maybe in sequential order, I'm not sure if you can skip numbers). you can't have two cat_1's
so if you're merging two packs that both start with cat_1, cat_2, you'll have to manually edit the numbers

Hi all! So new to modding SDV, as of today and I'm using Vortex. I've got SMAPI installed and a handful of other mods but my issue is that when I launch SMAPI it only shows that its loading a few of those mods. Like it loads my CJB mod but not my NPC Maps or Chests Anywhere or the others. Im not sure what info is needed from me. But I feel like I'm doing something off

Nevermind, I had Ambient Light installed, but not the Weather Machine mod it is an add-on for, was probably conflicting with DynamicNightTime ... lol
the nexus version isn't updated. someone made a patch for 1.5 on that compatibility page I linked that you can download

there are console commands you have to put into smapi to select a specific skin for an specific animal

@dapper grotto looks like you are missing a piece of SDE I would uninstall and reinstall
smapi does make a backup of your saves, so you may be able to load that backup from the previous day to see if it happens again

XD hate when that happens. I spend my 2 hour break (babies nap) updating mods and installing new and then i play at night
I looked at those and I don't think they're compatible with Adopt N Skin because those image files are xnb format
no worries. don't be afraid to come back if you still have issues
you can always try to do that, but I can't help you beyond that lol

I found that one difficult thereβs one I use thatβs a rar formate and I can unpack and just place in the mods folder

I reloaded the most recent backup and the journal tab was there. I clicked on it and it was empty. I closed it after and poof
