okay so... stupid question, but how many of you guys dont use sve? i know alot of people use it, but alot of people dont and im wondering what people use for alternatives for content
that i downloaded from others
issue about FTM/Lumisteria Flowers and Crops/1.5 is that 1.5 changes a bit the way data are managed and FTM is now not having some data for example for the artifact spots for the farmhand. The author of FTM is aware and should push a fix soon. If some players with my flower mod have issue in multiplayer about operation not being valid, deleting the FTM pack (not all the pack, the FTM pack) can be a quick fix in the meantime
Does this mod stop time for cutscenes on Multiplayer?

I'm currently not using SVE either, but I don't have much in the way of expansions yet. That's for the next run
It doesn't stop the cutscenes, but if 1 player is in a cutscene, the rest can pause and then time stops for everyone while the player watches the cutscene

I don't, but I didn't play 1.4. This playthrough is to see new 1.4/1.5 content. After I finish that, I'm restarting with SVE. Though I'm gonna do kind of a new game+ thing where I carry my skills/tools over. It's like I moved to a new place!

How do I transfer a save from one phone to another (android)
Hi Lumina. Partial success. Can get to the bus stop now but other areas still cause the issue. One is the Boarding House mod which has its own FTM folder. I'm going to test removing that and see how it goes. If that works then I think you have helped identify the problem, for which I thank you.

i mean, animal sitter has the config option of feeding animals when you press O (as well as petting them and harvesting produce, though you can configure that too)

I think so, especially the Clint one. The Krobus one is a bit wonky because it has Krobus not know the language and slowly need to learn it, which some folks don't love

@elfin ocean some of the bugs with ChildtoNPC can be fixed if you can 'DoChildrenWander' in the config file to 'false'
google it, but usually it's programs like winwar or 7zip that will help you
i believe it was haywrites demetrius overhaul that had him actually say something nice about sebastian, and that clashed badly with the demetrius in my head. to me, and in vanilla, demetrius doesn't have one word to say about his step-son. so, uh, you might find good narratives, you might find a narrative that clashes with yours XD @simple cloak

Unfortunately it caused connection errors and we couldnt even connect to the host game.
i suggest first and foremost a mod that increases a a bit how long it takes for 10 minutes to pass in game. it's too fast early game (and i use it for late game too)
you either get very lucky or not lucky at all with the spring onions

Whoever was talking about the Diverse SDV mod and outfits sometimes not showing up- I just saw the issue they're having (flower dance) ladies are approprietely dressed but not the gentlemen
for the mod that changes the time it tooks I use time multiplier and its quite useful for changing it to ur liking

Is anyone using NPC Map locations? Im using it and on the first day I played today it showed the NPCs everywhere but now it doesnt, are there any keybinds for it?
it's only partially updated for 1.5, so it'll work but not everywhere and not always
Iirc it was giving red text about missing TehCore, which the mod list says is broken

That's weird, KarratKake! On 1.4.5 I don't think the unofficial update needed that but I could be misremembering

1- no problem with the tidy craft menu! i do think that it needs to be updated to 1.5 tho because as some people said some items are not showing which im not really concerned because i do use some craftables that havent been updated either, if it comes to a place where i'll learn how to craft something from 1.5 that that will probably make me have to remove my craftables mod i'll do that and see to play with vanilla for a while until it gets updated or i manually update it for personal use! it just helps bc it's much more organized and it makes sense

2- i recently installed unlikely friends but i am adoring it, i had an event happen between abigail and harvey at the cemetery and it was SO much fun and so in character too โค๏ธ i think it's a worthwhile addition!
3- i only use imageed bc some of my mods require it i have no clue what it does ๐ฎ i forgot exactly which mods i need it for but it's quite a few so i leave it there hehe

There was once a "Categorized Crafting" mod that was a SMAPI mod that actually had tabs, it was super cute, and then 1.4 happened and killed it 
so for 4 people multiplayer does everyone have to individually install the npc location mod for them to use it? our host installed it and only he was able to see the changed map.
like for instance i got a mini shipping bin but it's showing up as invisible for me because i need to update to a craftables mod that is working with 1.5 , but since i dont wanna sacrifice the mods i have now and i dont have much use for a mini shpping bin i am leaving it like that hehe

I had this issue but I edited the Craftables.png in the mod and added everything new - it's all copy-pasting. If you're familiar with art programs at all you could give it a shot? I just used Gimp for the pixel art

@livid magnet More food (which I think is PPJA more recipes) isn't loaded so Artisan Valley can't load and between the two of those everything cascades out of control

you also have a few mods in there that are just out of date with no current updates like the harp and climates, but afaik SMAPI just skips over those
ye I believe HeartQuintessence is keeping those in there so they get the notification when they do update (I've seen a couple people do this)
I am mostly cause I LOVE climates and the HArp so its waiting for those

yeah i think only thing that will break a mod folder is having two periods in front will disable it
even having the CP label in front is just for sorting purposes

I should organize my mods into subfolders and such but idk how that works~
SMAPI loads mods first and foremost based on the dependencies listed (and ContentPackFor listed) in the manifest.json. Secondarily it loads based on alphabetical order, but that seems to be more accidental than anything lol

you should have at least a content.json and a manifest.json at that level, but you don't
that is why SMAPI went one level further; it didn't find the manifest.json

i think you're missing files? The content.json and manifest.json that others mentioned, and also SMAPI is complaning that your /Characters and /Cursors are empty folders? I'd suggest deleting the whole SVO folder, redownloading, and reinstalling it
I removed the music property from Juliet's house map, and now different music instead of Breezy is playing
so I guess for me specifically the TMXL bug is not fixed?

Okay this is weird... I'm getting extra stumps in Secret Woods but the only mod I have that patches that is Tristan's Secret Pool and it has no stumps loaded into the Map Properties.
Might need to jump back into coding anyway because what I want hasn't been in a mod yet

Hey, there! Before 1.5 my partner was using Expanded, the mods ya need for that and one or two others iirc. They updated them when 1.5 dropped but can't seem to make it work. Using Mod Drop didn't seem to help either. What info do y'all need to troubleshoot that?

Hey peoples running into a big big problem using the latest SMAPI on Mac, did the manual install (because i couldnt get the install-on-mac.command file to run) followed instructions to a pretty good T and the game won't run. the automatic install file couldnt actually be ran on mac (because of permissions issues that we couldnt actually... fix? to make it run?) so i made sure to triple check i ran them through the manual install correctly
so i just installed SMAPI and someone in a different channel told me to place the mods in E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods . this is my first time doing this and i dont know where to put that or what it is... im on a macbook btw

it's not even up to date
by default it's a rotating selection, and it has a limited number of stock per day. I removed those limits and the randomization following the Shop Tile Framework (STF) readme

easy way to find it on mac is go to into Steam > Library > Right click Stardew Valley, properties, go to local files, and click browse
this is why I get so fussy when people copy-paste folder paths for Steam launch options for other people to use, like, no that varies, get it from SMAPI, the truth-knower lol

Checked their permissions, even made them change the permissions to Read & Write for every present user just for good measure, and still cant open it in terminal.
Try restarting the computer, might make the permissions changes take effect

Use the app search thingy to launch a plain terminal, open the installer folder in Finder, type in chmod +x ' in the terminal, then drag the install on Mac command file into the terminal (it'll paste in the file path for you) and then add the final ' to have the right command, then hit enter. This is a bit different than opening the terminal in the folder but has the same effect
Iโve only had that happen once and that was when I ran a console command to reload a CP mod.

If you use tab in the terminal, especially when typing file paths and stuff, it will autocomplete for you
It isnt me personally using it, its a friend, but they're pretty rookie at technology stuff so me, a windows user, has more luck than they have been, im with them every step tho making sure they try things right
you could type chmod u+x /Users/REDACTED/Docu and then hit tab and it would fill in Documents
that verifies that the path is correct and spelled correctly

you can use the unofficial version of teh's fishing overhaul to adjust the difficulty, but it also does a lot more than that so it may be overkill
I think CJB also has an instant fish option
if you install smapi again it'll give you the correct thing to paste there

i honestly dont know the actual root cause but we walked through navigating terminal to the directory where the install file is and running it from bash instead of using finder
man this kind of sucks, lmao. I'm literally just standing in my house in the game. I think I burned myself out a bit with installing mods, troubleshooting, and manually fixing/updating either the mod itself or its manifest.json ๐

You need t to make sure you have the exact same versions of the exact same mods
That is probbly a JA issue
Go into adopt n skin config, change the debug config for "true"
Then go back in, and in the SMAPI console type debug_asreset I believe is what @lapis void taught me o/
and can be caused by expansion mods

items obtained in modded areas were getting JA swapped

by curiosity, what are the type of items getting changed?
Since for modded areas you have to tell JA to fix the IDs there, which TMXL does, but not sure about other things
I think it's mostly PPJA items getting switched around! Like, mostly ocurs in crops
I'll plant Basil, and my farmhands will harvest alcohol or entirely different crops
Lunna does have TMXL as a requirement, so maybe?

it might not have anything to do with this specific mod, and was just the one that caused a cascade effect for me

it depends on what is causing the issue i guess, some ppl have reported that JA sometimes freak out if too much is being added

there was nothing that caught my eye, so i guess i would go with the abstract solution of arbitrarily removing some JA stuff.
My solution was easier since it was mainly the fish from Lunna that were getting swapped, so after i purged that mod and all of the swapped items, i didnt had that problem again
JA content packs don't really go out of date, unless vanilla adds an item that they add
