On the map the quantum twins (if you remember my possessed Child to NPC kids), they showed up as being at home even if they were walking around in town. UI Info Suite not NPC Map Locations if that makes a difference.

It lets you add doors to maps using tile properties, and custom door sprites if you use content packs
I think all kids will look based on host player settings. So if another player marries a different person, their babies will look the same o.o
There used to be a Dynamic Mod for that but it is no longer maintained
You can add doors like the ones already in vanilla without the mod, though. That mod lets you add double/vertical doors/different door textures if you want
It's just the new game character creation. I do have, um. Overgrown Flowery Interface and Custom Menu Background which make it look much softer and more pastel

Anyone using Adopt 'n' Skin mod? It's been working fine for me until now. Right now, my dog and cat are getting stuck inside of each other, when I leave the house in the morning.
yeh I had that issue too. I installed the Pet Spawn Locations mod
and that fixed it. Now they all just sleep on my bed at night. Luckiyl it allows you to walk through them with PageUp

they are all on my doorstep in the morning, but thats to be expected
I've been having a few issues with pet spawning in the morning myself. Eevee likes to spawn in the tunnel leading out of the farm, lol

its because u are trying to overwrite files, you can use the option Yes to all

@elfin hedge Okay, that's easy! So after installing the mod, run the game once. Then close out, and in the mod's folder there should now be a notepad file called "config"
to the other mods u are extracting

The stuff in quotes is what you change, either true/false or one of a set of choices (like me choosing to have pink trees in spring or whatever).
For Hardcore Mines 2, you should see three options: "skullCave", "extraXP", and "difficulty"
The first two are true/false. They're either on or off.

I'm guessing the quarry is the "cliff" area along the north-northeast corner of the map? Also, do I actually want to replace the empty houses with wilderness? Am I not able to do anything with them at all? Or would it be better to make those two areas a forest?

it can work with the SVE or the non-SVE version; the ridgeside NPC Locations thing goes in the NPC Map Locations folder

@limpid cradle you can turn the dried up river bed into a river and the cabins with the forest, yes. I turned the trees into a tapper farm. But you can also cut them down if you like. The houses may eventually get NPCs, or you can decorate them yourself if you prefer. Just note that if you put stuff inside them that you may need to remove it if you ever add in the NPCs!

Stuff that gives an update alert even after updating probably has a typo in the manifest
so its internal version number wasnt matching the version number on nexus

a good start would be something like
- Automate (Completely overhauls the game experience, Factorio Valley)
- Bigger Backpack (extra row of inventory, must if u are adding content mods)
- Lookup Anything (In-game wiki, maybe the king of all mods, never alt-tab again)
- PPJA pack (Everything that paradigm uploads should be in your mod folder, they are among the best u can add in terms of crops and artisan products)
welp, I cosigned all of my JA mods that werent part of larger projects to a quarntine folder, lets see if it still explodes

I am sad too, but I am not able to fix it without help. Amd blacksmiths here don't want analyze amd fix complex mods like NPC Adventures, I am alone in it. And because SDV 1.5 changed lot of stuffs which affects NA, then the fix is not to sit for 30 minutes and write some code, it's about rewrite whole CSM (companion state machine, the core of the companions) and PathFinder and movement controller due to bridges (otherwise companion don't follow you ||in volcano and on some places on the island||) The fix is not easy and it requires lot of time, but people wants fix immediately. I haven't energy to don't sleep se nights again due freeware mod without any decision for reward. Rather I will go cook lunch for me and my girlfriend than work on broken mod. If someone send PR to NA GitHub repo, I send million thanks and mabye pay their work and the mod maybe survive, if all the bugs will be fixed. But I don't expect this miracle, there is nanoscopic chance this will be happen. Sorry for this bad news, Happy new year.
(And make work it in splitscreen is hard too, because it means multiplayer support again and that try ow was here and it was failed and retired too due to lot of problems and keeping it update with upstream)

I think that just means the mod author didn't update the version in the manifest.json. you can bump it yourself to stop the warning

minor update on a persistent smapi error i was getting in my last file. The "could not parse NPC Gus schedule", it WAS i nfact the cat name doing it because on a brand new file without the animal, im not getting the error after meeting him

add new areas. it's entrance is on the bus stop map, and it adds sections to festivals to fit a second town's worth of people. but that's all the editing of existing maps that it does.

it might not be MSDVE since the flower valley texture is the one shwing the error, not Medieval. i turned flower valley off and it's fine now

Well this was definitely a disheartening read 
tfw you go to the Posts tab of SVE just to see if you need NPC Map Locations with SVE and come across a bunch of drama instead :(
I'm not going to get into that debate, but I'll just say that post is pretty one-sided and misleading.
there are however some concerning points
i wouldn't say there is a "whole mod creators" talking badly about flash or "not wanting to support SVE", because speaking of issues isn't the same as "talking badly"
These numbers aren't supposed to be this high, are they?
Thing is, I want to believe that there are good people out there, despite the fact that everyone on the Internet tries to tell me that all content creators are scummy jerks that aren't worth supporting, so I have a hard time believing that post, I just brought it here for any clarification on why someone would post this and if there was any truth to it or at least to hear the other side of the story.

@wary plaza A high peak exec time isn't unusual; that might be 154ms to load and apply hundreds of patches once when you first load the save for example.

@wary plaza It depends what your content packs are doing. For example, a content pack could change a large number of assets when you change location (e.g. for indoors/outdoors textures).

It looks like an issue with using the alpha version which to my knowledge was just a recompile of the 1.4 version. The author is still working on an official update to it. You can remove it just fine but you’ll have to do some hunting for NPCs 😛

yes, actually.
I fixed up the english name and description of this one mod as well as updating the translation section near the bottom of the json.
patch reload (Mod ID from manifest.json), and it only works for CP mods.

Yeah, if the Steam time played is increasing then you are logged in to Steam and achievments should work

You need to make sure that the UI Zoom matches the game Zoom or else some of the things like range indicators will be offset

Sometimes a crash in mod A only happens if another mod is installed. But it's not clear which other mod.
I often see people struggling when trying to find the incompatible mod. They check every single mod which is a lot of work and takes a lot of time.
Don't check mods 1 by 1. Use divide and conquer.
Example: You have 100 mods. Remove all mods.
-
Add 50 mods and see if the crash happens.
If yes, you know the crash is in the 50 mods installed.
If not, you know the crash is in the 50 mods removed. -
Add 25 mods (from the 50 that contain the crash) and see if the crash happens.
If yes, you know the crash is in the 25 mods installed.
If not, you know the crash is in the 25 mods removed. -

If not, you know the crash is in the 1 or 2 mods removed.
If step 6 gave you the incompatible mod you are done. If there are 2 mods left, do step 7.
- Add 1 mod (from the 2 that contain the crash) and see if the crash happens.
If yes, you know the crash is in the mod installed.
If not, you know the crash is in the mod removed.
You found the incompatible mod.
So instead of trying 100 times, you tried at most 7 times. If you have 200 mods it's 8 times. 400 mods 9 times. And so on. Work smart, not hard.

ok, I tried resetting my content files and the bed still missing. As for using any XNB mods, I had never used any of them I believe, as I have used content patcher mods

what you can also do is backup your save, add the new mod, load your save, and see how badly things go and make notes of what needs to be moved. Close without saving, remove the mod, go fix those bits of furniture, then try it again

if you have only a little furniture, clearing out the lot is easier. But if you have lots of chests that's when reloading multiple times becomes faster
is there a way to make it so that lookup anything doesnt show the gender of the farmer? i have a gender neutrality mod but it obviously doesnt affect other mods
The furniture I have in there is broken, that’s the problem.

That is pretty strange. But you can use SMAPI console commands to give you back the bed. player_add furniture 2048 if it was the basic single bed and 2052 for the basic double

As for hunting down NPCs as mentioned an hour or so ago, I generally don't interact with the NPCs outside of when most of the village is hanging out in the saloon on Friday nights unless I'm doing a quest for them.
I haven't yet, but then again I spent a few hours -redownloading and rebuilding.
Hello, I wanted to ask if anybody know if I can use any farm map with this mod or do I have to use the expanded farm map that comes with this mod so it works correctly?
I think theoretically other farm maps should be compatible with SVE, but it's recommended to use one of the 2 it comes with (IF2R or Grandpa's Farm)

If i want to play a new multiplayer farm on vanilla without my mods, do I just remove the mods from my mod folder and put them back later? or does that run the risk of messing up my save? like is there a safer way to do it or is really that simple?
Hi All. Hoping for a bit of troubleshooting help. Playing modded Stardew. No issues in single player but when playing multiplayer we're encountering a strange bug. The host can travel anywhere, but the farm hand gets an infinite loading screen when trying to access any map that the host has not visited that day. For example, if the host goes to the bus stop and town, the farm hand can go there afterwards with no problem. If the farm hand tries to go there first then it freezes. This also happens when exiting the farm to the south or the north to the backwoods. I have viewed the SMAPI log and there is a game error that reads like it is failing when updating an instance of something. Can someone please have a gander and let me know what they think?
