Yeah, they stopped updating a while back so I don't know what version it's on

I think the crystals already (but very rarely) have a chance to drop refined quartz
I don't know of any mods that change their drop table, but it should be possible
yeah. they really rarely drop refined quartz, but are essentially meant to be a 'grass replacement' for those flooors

do you mean that child to npc mod page says that? it doesn't do much by itself and typically you want to get another mod in addition to it (like child age up or npc child for sve) unless you want to create a new child npc by yourself

hey uh i keep getting a strange error referring to the "fade to black bells and whistles" transition. would anyone be interested in looking at my smapi log? Also despite what smapi says all my mods are indeed up to date except one which is the mod settings tab because the new one crashes upon launching the game and steam errors.
the actual error code is update loop problem and object ref not set to an object.
it seems like occasionally on certian days anytime i go into a screen transition it crashes and smapi like...freaks the hell out and starts spamming my error logs usually, this time it didnt but other times id have a log too big for the parser and id have to shut off my game to stop smapi

The first error seems like a SMAPI issue with Custom Music trying to connect to GMCM. It's a weird bug, but I think it'll go away after the first time. You might need to post another log for the save issue.
(my own mod was doing a similar load error but nobody had it more than once 🤷)

(and there's an issue with Replanter trying to load the same object ID multiple times or something, but it doesn't seem related)

Unfortunately there's not much to go on there, unless you can figure out which mod is causing it. Game1.onFadeToBlackComplete() is trying to use something that's set to null when it shouldn't be, but that function is pretty long and touches a lot of objects, so it's hard to know what happened

fwiw, it looks like it might be related to whatever mod adds BackwoodsPlateau (or one of the custom map frameworks), but yeah, still a bit weird to figure out
the fade process seems to interact with your current location a lot, if nothing else
the stardew valley expanded modpack lags my pc out majorly. like 5 fps. even when its just the stardew valley expanded stuff. my computer can run heavy performance games no problem. if i google the issue the only results are about android.

yep, you can try going to FarmTypeManager\config.json and changing the monster limit from null to a number, e.g. 10
it might not help, but sometimes the hundreds of monsters in an SVE location can lag the game even if you're not there

SVE won't run if FTM isn't installed, so it's probably somewhere 
Using https://smapi.io/log to find and/or post your log file can help, it'll say what mods are loaded or why they had issues
looks like you've got the old version of Generic Mod Config Menu installed, 1.1.0 should be the current one
(if you're getting it from Vortex, try installing it manually, mods get set to the wrong version sometimes)

hi i have a question, i have a mod i want to use that requires json assets but i'm concerned that json assets seems to have a lot of bugs and i barely run mods and don't want the stability of my saves to be affected. i just want to know how big a risk you guys think it is to use json assets and if the bugs are just outliers or if it's a common occurrence you've seen using it? ty!

IFR2 replaces the interior of the greenhouse so no, other greenhouse mods wouldn’t work with it. You could replace the greenhouse.tbin file with your own.

Step 1: Place Greenhouse.tbin from Wren's mod into the [CP] Immersive Farm 2 Remastered/Overrides' folder.
Step 2: Go to /Mods/Wren's Expanded Greenhouse and edit the content.json file to remove this section:

to get Wren's going with ifr2, do the above. I think that would work with other greenhouse maps as well

I've set use IF2 greenhouse to false in the cofig file, which should change it

I fixed it, but my other exterior reskin isnt being applied.
@robust bison the way IF2 originally worked was it moved the greenhouse by moving the warp point and using a custom overlay. If you want your custom exterior to apply you either need to go into its tilesheets and edit the greenhouse to the one you want or install Farmhouse Redone

I use IF2 as well as FHR and it works fine for me

@ Arcane XNB Loader is no longer maintained because of CP. While CP can load XNB they are not recommended as they break with every major game update.

This new cat NPC https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6094 is basically a copy of Shiko's files (including all her gift tastes - note she is not a cat) with portraits stolen from Mr Ginger and only the dialogue changed. The sprite is a white cat with a halo . Not sure if the creator made it or acquired it from elsewhere too.

Yeah I had both installed for some reason
but just with getglam the shoes are still weird af so im guessing its just a current bug with the mod
yea get glam has a really hard time letting you go between shoes when theres more than one installed
I think I remember seeing somewhere in the forums for Get Glam that there's an issue with the shoes, but I don't use it.
I use Customize Anywhere and I merged the hats and hair mods I use with CP, so I can use modded hair with Customize Anywhere. For hats, they show up with the mouse. For new shirts / pants, I found the Tailor Mouse mod will provide a way for you to buy them, as long as the new shirts / pants are in Json Assets format. It's also pretty easy to get shirts /pants in Json Asset format to be compatible with the Tailor Mouse mod.
All this to say, there are workarounds, if you still wanted to use modded clothing and hair, but Get Glam isn't working quite the way you want it to
i think hairs work well actually, its just doenst like it if you add under 8 hairstyles

you're using SVE, which is not compatible with FHR, I suggest uninstall it temporally before you make any changes to the farmhouse

Hmm, I had planned to use the Always on Server mod to host the save from a different computer, then I can freely connect in with the others on the map from other computers, but since the host isn't 'playing', I wanted to somehow make use of the farmhouse building

The npc part is a known bug, as that's how tmx loads them

I think i found out what was causing my errors from last night... and its not good. I think its tmxl map toolkit thats causing my screen to fade and crashes smapi maybe? my error IS different slightly but it has the same general thing and it only happens when i load a tmx map like boarding house and buffalo ranch...
it did happen once when i went into marnies but i think that was because i have something editing marnies house which is animal shop bfav

Hey all, I have googled this until I can't google anymore, and was wondering if anyone had seen a similar issue. Playing a modded setup with custom furniture, and any furniture added by CF packs will not maintain their rotation if observed by a player who is not the player who placed it. By that I mean, if a player places a rotated piece of furniture it works fine until another can see the piece of furniture in which case it will rotate back to its default configuration.
I have Furniture Anywhere and Custom Furniture Anywhere installed as well, but tried taking those out and the issue persists. Nothing strange shows up in the logs when the rotation reverts.

I'm not really familiar with PyTK mods, but I don't see anything about CF syncing rotation in multiplayer...it might just be saved locally and get reset when SDV shares the info with someone else.
You might be able to work around it by placing the furniture when everyone's in the same location?
That's what I was thinking as well. I tried rotating the furniture with both players present, but it will still revert.
I also tried rotating the furniture, leaving the cell, and having the second player go into the cell. (Checking to see if perhaps the issue isn't the second player viewing the item, but two players viewing the item), but as soon as the second player enters the cell, the item will revert.
Well, the author Routine#8715 is also on this Discord. Not sure if they'll have time to look into it, but you could ask them about it either way.

Has anyone had issues putting objects from a Custom Furniture mod on top of a vanilla table? I'm trying to put the flower vases from the Victorian Interior mod (CF version) on top of a vanilla table, and the vases disappear (not visible) when they're on top of the table. I can still right click the area where the vase is to remove it from the table. I tested it with several different vases.
I can place the modded flower vases on the floor just fine. I can also place vanilla objects on the vanilla table just fine. But not modded flower vases on the vanilla table.

I'm having a problem, I installed 2 mods, a reskin of the trees and a reskin of the barn animal (technically 3 mods) and now my trash can icon is completely gone.

oh I used to have that problem a lot when I used to use xnb’s, apparently a few of the mod creators removed the trashcan from the png’s when editing an xnb that had it in there or smthin

It was the xnbs, switch them back and the trash can is back.
It probably has to do with the new trash can Icon that they probably introduced when you can upgrade them. The old trash can was smaller and had a different Icon.

I'm currently playing, and am having difficulty finding the Alembic. Its missing.

"Woods" is the Secret Woods; the Cindersap Forest is "Forest"
From the mod description, it sounds like the X and Y should be the tile location where you placed your Auto Grabber. Do you have the Debug Mode mod installed?
That mod is the easiest way to find the tile coordinates of a particular place on a map while you're in game

If it stopped working when you installed the dark brown ui it might not be updated to 1.4 and using the old 1.3 tilesheets. But the first step is

@dire fractal for future, you can set the global grabber location by typing setforagerlocation in the smapi console. that sets the config to your current location and you can place the grabber there then

@exotic citrus you'll get more help with that in #making-mods-general but short answer is that no, making clothing packs is mostly making the sprites and then a mod called Json Assets can add it for you
(making shirts and hats isn't too hard in term of spriting. making pants/skirts is involving a lot of sprite so it's usually harder)
(shoes too, or if you wanna make base changes)

it shouldn't be related to this problem, but that wizard narrative overhaul by haywrites could be somewhat problematic with sve i think, because iirc it completely replaces the wizard dialogue (instead of just editing/adding lines)

When you reinstalled SVE, there would have been 8 folders needing to remove and then reinstall. Did you get them all?
And actually, have you ever before had a previous version of SVE installed? If so there might be more folders that needed to be removed
yes, i deleted all of them ,, i dont think i did? i downloaded sve the first time a few days ago and eventually i got tired of trying to figure it out and went to bed without trying it, and when i loaded up the game next, earlier tonight, it seemed to be working but then i realised its not ,,, so then tonight is when i re-installed it again

I couldn’t fix an issue for like 2 weeks, thought it was a certain mod, I was being lazy though and didn’t fully check if it was still an issue with only said mod, ended up being a hidden xnb mod I installed a long time ago and only figured it out by replacing my entire contents folder with one of my backups because there was just nothing else I could think of besides an old xnb mod I forgot I used at one point

i deleted child to npc also because I kept getting that error and i'm not sure why

since you are using immersive farm 2 remastered, you probably need an override for the greenhouse

also it seems that SDVE added a patch for ran's harvest goddess and then removed it in the latest update
