ah. I'd try removing pytk completely, as that's not needed anymore, and disable clear glasses for the moment because that sometimes interferes in the weirdest ways

This is my log. I have problem loading in-door furniture or decorations mods, can someone help?
both pytk lite and tmxl toolkit should be removed completely from your mod folder, as they're neither needed nor compatible with stardew valley 1.6. in what way are you having problems loading these mods? don't they show up at all, they show up a bit, they look weird?
Oh okay! I downloaded those mods because some mods says it requires them. My problem is that I see only the vanilla furniture. For example, I have the Nostalgic Old Furniture Collection but I only see original ones.

Hi there. I've been having a hard time getting the mail message to display. The mail is showing up in the inbox and all logging indicates it's working correctly but when I click it, no message or screen generates. Anyone have this issue?
I have a mail.json in the root mod folder with the manifest and such.
The code is just

Why would the message itself not displayed when the mailbox is clicked?
some older mods didn't update their requirements and thus still say they need it. for the nostalgic furniture collection it says you can choose either replace or add through the settings in generic mod config menu. you want to go there and see what it says there (after having taken out pytk and tmxl and restarting the game without them)
if it's set to replace, then we gotta investigate further. if it's set to add, then that means the furniture will show up as new items through the catalogue
apart from this I saw a few more things already that need updating.
- Adventurer's Guild Expanded
- Date Night
- Simple Foliage
all have newer versions.

some of the mods that say they need updates dont have a newer file on nexus than the one i already have, when i try to replace it it still says needs update
with nightly events it's because there's an example mod pack uploaded that has a higher version number, that one you can definitely safely ignore
other than updating your mods it looks like youre only getting one error anyways, atleast in the log you sent, and that one has to do with steam achievements

oh awesome, i updated the ones that could be updated. only ones that dont have new updates that i can find are bl desert,adventurers guild, and divine decor. i might try some different recolors, etc now that i know it mostly looks good
no i had some content patching warnings before but think theyre gone
if i have UI info sweet 2, can i delete the first one? idk if they depend on each other or not

is there a way i can upload the yellow and red warnings that are showing when i am in the game? content patcher and spacecore mostly. i took off downtown zuzu and softon so im ok with the bus locations not spawning
downtown zuzu should work, if youre getting errors try checking the smapi website to see if theres an unoffical update or anything for the mods you need
i removed the mods from my save completely
just because im not ready to add them to game yet
So, i have a save from before 1.6 with the greenhouse mod
if i try to load it, will it corrupt without it?- idk how much that mod would affect it:(
as far as i know uploading your log should show those, maybe try closing out and sending your log again to see if theyre in it this time?
also just so you know adding mods after youve started a save isnt always a great idea cause depending ont he mod it can cause issues on pre existing saves, i cant say whether or nto youll have that issue with downtown zuzu, but wnated to give you a heads up either way!
generally that won't corrupt your whole save - but it might bork the greenhouse a bit, as in making trees and crops inaccessible for example
is it a new save, or a save that had that on it before?
a save from before 1.6 that already had the greenhouse n stuff
its my most advanced save/the one ive spent the most time on- but bc that mod hasnt been updated i havent played it in ahwile
I'd load up the game as is, look at the greenhouse and see how it's looking now, you can always quit the game without saving
i would say check the smapi website to see if maybe someone had done an unoffical update, but otherwise im not sure i would risk it, maybe make a backup and see what happens

if you got trees in there in places that you don't like you can hack them down, you'll get a sapling back that grows quicker than regular saplings. if they're situated in places that aren't reachable by conventional means, enabling noclip mode (mod has the same name) helps with getting to places that are in unreachable places

this is wat my log looks like after i opened the game but thats it!
im keeping SVE and RSV but did remove some other map / npc expansions and so far it seems ok. im kinda using this save as trial and error anyway so i can get the game looking the way i want and then remove the skull cavern elevator, ladder locator, etc on my next save. this is all so new to me so im realizing the possiblities are endless!

alright so the issue youre having with those errors is that you have multiple mods trying to edit the same asset so its not loading any of them, does that make sense?
I am trying to load a custom shirt but it keeps showing up as a toga and removed the farmer's current clothing so when the game loads, they are wearing nothing.

ok so it seems the only ones that are conflicting are the various farmer portrait mods, maybe check there installation instructions on nexus, see if they might need to be installed abnormally!

im not totally sure honestly, but since its just a retexture mod it shouldnt be anything too crazy, worst case scenario you might have some glitchy textures but it looks like it only effects some fence shadow textures so it might not be noticeable, id recognize checking around fences and joja and seeing if you see anything wrong!

oh there is one more warning in your log, it looks like the bogs ui interface is missing a file, id suggest uninstalling and reinstalling that one to see if that fixes it and if it doesnt maybe report it to the mod author!

I doubt the issue is out of date mods. All the mods that seem to rely on Content packs or Json assets are fully up to date

i think its cause of how you phrased it, it sounds like youre having an issue with a pre existing mod which is why i was confused originally aswell
Starfruit at least work fine for me. I don't know how to test cave carrots, but I don't see why there'd be an issue with stacking.

youre missing a mod thats stopping a few others form running, you dont have any of the content packs for happy birthday so it essentially doesnt function, and you have two mods trying to edit the mines at the same time, so neither one is being activated
I fixed the happy birthday ones, but I wasn't aware of the mines one so I'll fix that, thank you
you need to get custom resource clumps by aedonthorn cause without it food, heart, strawberry, and ice cream cat clumps all dont function
the two affecting the mines are sve and (CP) 숲속 광산 리텍스쳐 but i have no idea what that second one is
Yeah, I'll just get rid of those all together as I don't think custom resources was updated. I looked through the comments for an alternative but I guess it doesn't work

There was another tilesheet needed, since it's naver they use XNB and I never saw that message when I downloaded it.
So I just replaced it with the one they gave us for the bathroom, and I'll see if that fixes the issue
ah, be careful with xnb theyre much harder to fix issues with (or atleast thats my understanding of it)
I'm not really much of a fan of XNB files, but I dont think it'll cause any problems with this

This mod is broken, just so you know. People seem to be replacing it with Item Extensions. Or possibly using the CON/CRC converter linked on that page. I don't know much more than that

For some reason portraiture isn't working for the most important character only. (My wifey Maru). Whenever I press P to cycle through the portraits I have installed "fixed" only pop up. When trying it out for other characters it works perfectly fine

To be honest, I just notice i still had MasteryExtended in this log and i know might conflict, but the first time i added WOL rebirth, I deleted MasteryExtended and it did same thing.

that's a vanilla thing, they are never centered or so I thought

did you get some by hand and other by scythe? or is there any difference in where/how you got those items that don't stackj?
That's the latest, I had a look at the log a previous time and that last trace entry for showing item quality wasn't there but otherwise it was the same. The event that plays at the end of the log is for the Lucikiel mod.
well, cave carrot I got them in the mines that is when i first notice it didn't stack. gems stack fine. I only got the starfruit with the scythe.
I could try and record my experience in both with WOL and without it
if you want
does it crash if you remove the lucikiel mod?
you need to find something that is easy to do and reproducible that you can use to test
so if this happens again, remember exactly what you did and try to do it again until you find something that you quickly do immediately when the day starts
then you can use that save to test the compatibility between your mods
move half your mods to a different folder, launch the game and test
if the issue still happens, keep removing half your mods until it stops happening
if the issue stops, then add back half of the mods you removed
keep doing this until you know exactly which mod causes this to happen
if you can figure that out, then maybe I'll look into that mod's code or w/e and see what's happening
if you don't think the trouble is worth it then that's fine
but if I can't reproduce your issue on my side then I also can't fix it

Hello! I have a question, so i want to have portraits changed but they dont come in ziped folder and i saw you need a portrait mod but i don't know how to do it
So I tried it with only console commands, and the CJB cheats menu and item spawner, which I needed to get to the blacksmiths with geodes in the first place. It worked fine.

im new to pc stardew i just tried to set everything up yesterday so i could mod stardew and i did the basics that all the tutorials have and i have mods within the mod folder but when i run stardew smapi it only runs 2 of them but im not even sure which ones its running since they dont seem to be noticable. ive tried to add a mod for the loading screen to see if itll work but it doesnt look like thats even working. did anyone else have this issue? or does anyone have any advice on how to fix it?

theres your issue, you need to extract those files before putting them in the mod folder, those are jsut the zipped folders not the actual mod folders!

huh weird, the mod compatibility list says to use the other one instead, i personally use the other one so i know it should work though, id reccomend atleast trying it first, it might fix your issue!

alright so first glance, first thing id reccomend is update your mods, cause you have A LOT that are out of date

sometimes mods just have bugs
once youve updated the ones that you can, would you please send a new log, and then i can try to help you fix your errors from there! id start with what i have but odds are a good chunk of them will get fixed by the updates. also if a mod doesnt have an official update, try checking the mod compatibility list ont he smapi website to see if there are any alternatives, or unoficcial updates!

Sure thing! Also some of the mods (Like the gachapon machine mod and trinkets mod) need the old Produce framework file to work right and I really like playing with it so if you see that, that hasn't updated that's why. It's not a great thing but if it still works then it still works. I'm praying that that's not what's causing my greenhouse issue but if it is I'll just update it

you have a mod called vpr temporary fix, it has a rquirement of vibrant pastoral recolor
remove farmhouse fixes and send a new log but this time, load a save first
the one with the compatibility issue is expanded preconditions utility, which you have version 1.0.1 of, for stardew 1.6 you need to use the 1.0.2 alpha build, which is also on the nexus

ok so to start you still have 27 mods that smapi is just skipping completely due to various issues
the first thing im noticing that could be your greenhouse issue is that buildable greenhouse is not compatible, and hasnt been updated yet
The 3 mods I see referenced in the repeating error are sve, bush bloom, and solid foundations. I don't think sve by itself touches the greenhouse, so this may be a weird interplay of mods

I also have a 2 story greenhouse mod but its barely incompatible with multiple greenhouses
There's still only one cellar and it defaults to the og greenhouse, I just use it as a teleporter for my tractor

it might take a little bit to launch, depending on your system specs, aswell as how much the mods youve installed are adding, that changes things, id suggest running it and letting it sit for a minute, if it doesnt start after a minute or two, then there could be something else going on
yes, you want to keep them in the folders they came in, you just need to unzip them and drop them in the mods folder!

most of them seem to be most likely cause of the mismatch, however, you also have modfiles that are loose in the mods folder which is causing smapi to skip them

it might be because you have the zip files in there, but im not sure about that, smapi seems to be detecting an empty folder called assets aswell as a lot of xnb files named after each villager, my guess is its something to do with the anime portraits

you stull have a bunch of mods that need to update, that hers isnt flagging as needing update, so theres still some sort of mismatch there im pretty sure

well you see, the thing about that is... sprints away at full speed while knocking things over behind me

idk anything about spacecore, but is that one of those mods that could cause problems if both players dont have it? i imagine maybe not since its just a framework or whatever but idk, worth checking mayhaps

they dont seem to, especially if the host doesnt have it and they were able to load into the game just fine.
SpaceCore is one that needs to be matched between all players
and as far as i can tell, all their other mods line up
It does some save handling stuff, amongst other things
the issue is they couldnt load in, it said there was no cabin for them iirc
basically when checking mods for if all need them on multiplayer, the ones that I wouldn't do a mismatch with even for my game are the ones not using any frameworks like CP, FS or AT

so basically you'll usually want all C# mods to match, might not always be needed for all mods but to be safe and for mod support I'd say it's the better thing to do
chloe's updating all her mods atm so we'll check back in when we can try to get into the game again
multiplayer is definitely my worst subject in sdv support XD

Also Content Patcher mods that add new objects, places, or NPCs need to be matched up.
yeah, imagine having friends to play coop with (i say as i currently have a coop run with a friend)
And new animals or crops
all their content patcher stuff seems to line up so they should be good so long as they update everything

Many computers have two options for running games: integrated graphics (part of the processor) and dedicated graphics (a separate graphics card by NVIDIA or AMD). Stardew Valley should be run on the dedicated graphics, but that's not always the default (especially on laptops). If you're not sure if this applies to your computer, it's safe to just try the instructions below anyway — they just won't do anything if it doesn't apply.
To fix this:
From the start menu, search for Graphics Settings and open it.
In the window that opens, click "Browse" near the top and choose SMAPI mascot.png StardewModdingAPI.exe in your game folder (or Stardew Valley executable icon.png Stardew Valley.exe if you play without mods).
In the app list, click "Options" under StardewModdingAPI (or Stardew Valley if you play without mods).
Change the Graphics preference to "High performance".
Save.
Check whether your issues still happen.

Okay, then to be specific it was this letter. It's labeled ??? in the letter collection. I looked through the SMAPI console and nothing relating to the mailbox or letters showed up.

Has anyone else had issues with having Portraiture not loading sprites for Leo or Mr. Snail on Ginger Island, outside of cutscenes?

yea, the files are named both ParrotBoy and SafariGuy for each NPC
Correct, that's why you have to set Portraiture up as that
This seems to be reported on both Portraiture's nexus page as well as Talkoloohey's
people having issues with these NPCs at least
i.e. the folders or whatever Portraiture does setup have to be ParrotBoy and SafariGuy
and the file naming convention seems to be correct
(I'm not an expert in portraiture, but fairly certain that's how that works)
although... that may be a consequence of how 1.6 defines them

Right, I understand. I think it might be an issue with 1.6 and Portraiture, several other users are reporting Portraiture sprites not working for Leo outside of cutscenes.

hi! might be a dumb question but i haven't updated my mods since like. 2023 so everything is super outdated — i'm trying to update my CP portrait mod which i know hd portrait isn't working for 1.6 yet (afaik), would portraiture do basically the same thing in the mean time or am i misunderstanding the mod completely
im trying to download smapi but everytime i try to open the installer, it tells me to type the file path to the game directory, which i dont know what that is or how to do it 😭

is it different if i downloaded it from xbox?

I realize this is very late but I was looking into this bc I was curious and based on the stacktrace, it seems like the interior warps for a building somehow got nuked completely, where the game expects building interiors to have at least one warp.

This one I believe they are trying to have ||moss||, does harvesting for ||moss|| on those give you ||moss||?
Can't say for sure. I don't exactly know if I can harvest ||moss|| in either since I don't think they have the sprites for those lol
The glitch is because they are trying to appear as ||mossed||, harvesting them might return them to normal

Yeah it might be. Thing is, they only show up like that during that specific weather.

The warp thing happens only during a certain type of weather or it just happens all the time?
Seems to just have happened specifically with the heatwave.
Don't remember for the ones in fall but I'm pretty sure none of them affected it too.

I had the extra farm space unlocked too. The "misplaced" warp would exist there prior to having the extra area.

Also it just sets your health to max constantly. Have you taken damage after unchecking it?
Since it works by setting your health to max, once you turn it off you will still be at max health

I'm trying to install SMAPI on mac (Catalina 10.15.7)
I've been opening install on mac.command but I keep getting this error:
zsh: no such file or directory: Users/X/Downloads/SMAPI 4.0.8 installer/install on macOS.command
I had SMAPI working before 1.6 released, dunno why I can't install it now
Edit: figured out the issue. Sometimes when opening a terminal the laptop 'eats' the first character of a command. So the command was starting with /Users/, but the terminal was only registering Users/
