is there a reason the command 'debug cooking' didnt give me all the needed recipes? they also dont seem to count towards perfection since i am at 100% with supposed missing recipes.
I don't think that's a mod error. I think that's an error with your game files

well, then either you updated wrong somehow, but more likely that the mod author forgot to update the version in their manifest.json and it confuses SMAPI

It does not really matter that much tbh...
Unless you really want to manually update those just to be overridden a few days later by a newer push
so it does not matter if it says "the mod is no longer compatible"

- Custom Furniture needs to either be updated or, if that's the most recent, does not work in 1.6
- Your startup preferences are corrupted, it looks like, but I think that's fixed by rebooting?
- You should remove Coii's Girls Sets Pack because it's conflicting load-wise with the other Coii's stuff. If you want to keep it, you should remove Coii's Hair Sets and Coii's Basic Shirts. If you want to keep both, you'll have to do some mod editing to make them work together and tbh I don't know if the hairstyles/shirts would work as a basic EditData/EditImage, so that'd definitely be a question for the wizards of #making-mods-general if you do that.
Hi! I’m having an issue where my game closes anytime I try to save, regardless of the save file. that's curious. your log doesn't show anything and with just CP and canon friendly dialogue expansion you shouldn't experience any lags either. Have you tried starting the game without SMAPI to verify it's a modded issue?

Yep, removing the SMAPI link from my Steam launch options removes the problem entirely

Unzip what you downloaded, then inside the unzipped folder Smapi 4.0.8 installer should be a file called install on [your system] double click that

I'm sorry, but it looks like something in the save itself got borked - from what I can see from the log. you could try opening the game without any mods enabled (just taking the mod folder out suffices) to see if you can load up that save

It says it on the page but as an extra warning, the reason game pass isn't too favored over Steam or Gog (beyond being a bit harder to set up) is that "when the game updates, you'll need to redo the last two sections" of that guide.

Okay first and foremost delete chat commands and custom spouse patio they are way out of date. And second, it is really hard to look at a log with so many debug commands. Please use CJB Cheats for warps and such, much safer than debug commands. Could you relaunch after deleting those two mods and see if the issue persists then send us a fresh log?

Okay. So I'm not completely sure, but I'm a bit worried about some of your mods that are quite old (a good rule of thumb is anything before 19 march 2024 is suspect of causing issues). Someone will probably know better than me, but in the meantime if you're feeling adventurous you could try troubleshooting yourself. I would start by pulling out any recolors you might have (if they were published before 19 march) and seeing if the issue persists. If not, then try AT packs. A good place to look in your log for mods to start looking at are the no "update key" mods (below ones that "change the game") and the "affected content pack" mods (a little further down). (for more info, try typing !readlog in #governors-mansion ). Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Okay. I looked into it a bit and have a few ideas but none too solid. One, are you using any mod that changes the fishing pole or crab pot? Two, are you playing in multiplayer or splitscreen? Three, could you please try updating theses mods (I know MNE is up to date)? And then four, please delete the folders that are "skipped" in red at the beginning of your log. And grab a fresh log and see if you can reproduce the issue and nail down what triggers it. I'm gonna go dig on the nexus while you do.

I've seen a few posts, all varied. That first post wouldn't apply as I don't have the mod.L I think it might be related to Fashion Sense?
With regards to your questions: One, no, no changes there. Two, no multiplayer/split screen. Three, those are all up to date, just an issue with the manifest. Four, I'll delete the automate but I'm not sure why the portrait is causing issues as the assets folder is definitely not empty

Ok. Gotcha. I think this might be a hard one for me or any volunteer to fix. What I would recommend is this:
As soon as I grab the FS mirror from the mail, I get the spammed error code
- Start a new save to test on. Disable/remove all mods except Fishing Info overlays, GMCM, and SMAPI. Launch. Exit. Grab a log.
- Start a new save to test on. Disable/remove all mods except Fishing Info Overlaps, GMCM, SMAPI, and FS. Try first no packs just FS. Launch, exit. Grab a log.
I'd perhaps consider doing a !patchsummary (type in #governors-mansion for info) for these logs to be as helpful to Barteke as possible. I'm not totally sure it'd help but I suppose while possibly overwhelming the extra information couldn't hurt

I finally figured out which mod it was - it's DaisyNiko's earthy interiors. I avoided uninstalling it because I didn't want it to be that one LOL. I should've read the comments on the mod before downloading - it's a known issue and the author is working on it. In case anyone else has this issue in the future. 🙂
I’m having a problem where my game shuts down upon saving. I’ve tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling SMAPI, and all mods that can be updated appear to be updated (everything left is from manifests that weren’t updated, I think). I deleted everything I had downloaded in the last 24 hours one at a time and found the answer - it was Hybrid Crop Engine! The SMAPI compatibility page listed it as usable, but I guess that’s out of date.

- If you've played a bit since you last tried getting a log, then after playing a bit, do you have logs? If not,
- We're looking to see if there's more than one of any of the following folders (make sure "Show Path Bar" is enabled in Finder>View). Use Finder>Go>Go to folder>
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/commonYou should see one of the folderStardew Valleyamidst your steam games. Inside "Stardew Valley" should be one folder namedContentsand inside that should be one folder namedMacOS. And finally inside that, should be one folder namedModsand one file namedStardewModdingAPI. If you saw extras of any of these, take screenshots including the full path bar at the bottom of finder. - For using Finder Favorites "shortcuts" with (suspicions of) multiple installations, please put
commonfolder in Favorites instead of any subfolder within it (such as "Mods" or "Stardew Valley"). And the same goes for "shortcuts" to log files. Use the ".config" folder (go to folder>~/.config) as your Favorite shortcut. Within it should be "StardewValley" and then, in that, "ErrorLogs."

Been playing a modded multiplayer game for a long time and have been having this issue where all the crafted flooring textures are broken for other players. I can't identify the issues as we're all on the same mods and all the floors for me (as the host) look totally normal, but all my farmhands see broken textures. Is this a multiplayer bug that came with 1.6?

there's definitely already a mismatch visible from the short overview governor is giving here, so maybe we can fix this easily, I'll take a look
There's an error saying smapi tried to fix a missing map and it's hinting at a missing outdoor map file. You don't have the earthy recolour, they do have earthy recolour. I'd try either removing that or adding it to your game and see if that helps.
also you don't have the longevity mod and the other person does, might want to balance that out as well by either removing it from their game or adding it to yours. and updating all mods that say they can be updated is a good idea too
try that and see if it fixes things, and come back of course if the error persists!

I checked again and now saw in your log that it says something from the capitalist dream farm maps is missing - that would also explain why all your farmhands experience the problem, as it happens on your side and they're all loaded into your game

sorry, I was doing this all on mobile and the log parser is horrible to look at there - I can now read more clearly and yeah it says capitalist dream farm is missing Maps\spring_outdoorTilesheet_extra, as well as Maps\spring_outdoorTilesheet_extra. redownloading is probably the best idea

hmm, by default the floor boards used are of a different type/colour/shade and from a tilesheet you have no access to as a player (indoorTilesheets instead of walls_and_floors)
so there's no fixing the spouse room?

I tried a couple of mods to edit the spouse room, but I think they were overidden because none of them did anything
I only edit the tilesheets, I don't affect how they work in game, so you should still have been able to terget the room

@night bough - follow up for you on the server member from earlier with the broken save file. Something - I do not know what - corrupted 400,000+ lines of the save file. I was able to patch it over with info from the old save file data, and it loads without issues.

am I able to just put my own art in a custom folder for portraiture? I have done that to mix and match art from different portrait mods, but the one I am using doesnt have art for Jean and Jorts, I drew art for Jorts and did the 64x64 format for the PNG but it isnt working

Hi, I found a weird symbol on my pause menu that I can't figure out what it is or from. That's the thing, in her mods folder mineral town and mineral town fosh are seperate, she installed them without me though so I'm not sure if it's a mod and an add-on or just one mod

Oh wait I can help sortve with this, I also have that issue, and I can tell you that for some reason it is the wear more rings mod that's doing that, it hasn't caused any issues. For me really other than being a minor visual annoyance, I'm still able to put rings in slots that coincide with it and stuff regardless of its existence!

I kind of glitched out for me. I had eight rings originally and when I tried to place a ring in the slot overlapping it, I coudn't get it back out. that and the constant glitching between the different icons is starting to hurt my eyes.

Hiya, having a portrait issue that's specifically only affecting Sophia from SVE. Seems to be somehow doubling up two portrait mods? Unsure why it's specifically only affeting her.

wait a second... did you disable Interiors in Redraw Pelican town Config?
Seems like you are using an anime portrait mod, but still have a face overlay from the original mod on top of it. Try turning off Sophia's mature option in SVE config.
Did that, still borked. @scarlet quail it is a specific mod trying to overlay, and I found the culprit, just trying to see what files I have to overwrite to get it to stop doing it. Using vortex because of the amount of mods I have, but now I don't know if I need to overwrite the vortex folder, the mod folder in steam, or both.
Are you in the East scarp discord? There's an alpha version if sword and sorcery with some of chapter 3 in it and I think they have a bug report section too, you could mention it there!
should be the ppja cannibis kit there was one file i had to use a later model for some of the mods i currently have just dont work and i need to delete but i havent had time to do that yet

You can always check the comments of a mod to see a bunch of people saying "DOES THIS WORK WITH 1.6 UPDATE WHEN?" and see if anyone confirms it works 😄

I am adding my own portrait for Jeans and Jorts and I got it to work, but because it has to be a set size since its pulling it straight from the helper cat file assets rather than portraiture its ruining the quality. I cant get it to work in portraiture though any mods I have in there that have a portrait for Jeans or Jorts it ignores and just always uses their vanilla ones

smapi keeps giving me the message that talkohs portraits is n empty folder when its not
the top one is what i extracted, inside it is the middle one, and inside that is the bottom one, inside the bottom one are the portrait files. ive tried putting each folder alone after the full thing didnt work and smapi keeps saying its empty

Does anybody know when/if Better Junimos and Better Junimos Forestry will ever get an update? The former still doesn't work with greenhouses and the latter still hasn't been updated for 1.6... Apparently other people are dealing with the greenhouse not working as well. There's nothing on the SMAPI log.
For clarification, I use SVE's bigger greenhouse, but it seems it's an issue across the board, modded or vanilla.

Do you have the issue where if you switch to Elliott's Adors portrait you can't see Sebastian's portrait? You'll need to 'lock' the portrait so it can't be changed when you use a different portrait type
If you mean .xnb mods I'd just convert them to CP instead and validate your stardew files as that can cause your save to break! By using XNB2CP https://xnb.pillow.rocks/

Ohhh Okay so I'm going to copy some instructions on how to convert it:
Here are the instructions from the github page with some added details for this specific mod (https://github.com/anotherpillow/xnb2cp#usage):
- Unzip this mod in your downloads folder
- Select the XNB mod you want to convert with the files icon - in this situation it's Adors style sprite mod for Elliott.
- Navigate and upload the folder of the XNB mod. If your browser prompts you to upload the folder, choose "Upload".
- Fill in the manifest fields. - For the Name of the mod title it 'Adors Elliott Inspired Sprite Mod', the Author whatever, and whatever version number you would like to call it.
- Click "Done" and wait for the conversion to finish.
- Once it finishes, click "Download" to download the converted mod and before unzipping create a folder titled '[CP] Adors Elliott Inspired Sprite mod ' and unzip the file inside of the folder and then delete the unzipped file. Then place it in your mods folder and you're ready to play!
Okay so if you have a seasonal portraits mod (which overwrote the slightly cuter aesthetic mod) you'll need to disable 'Sebastian', 'Elliott' and the 'Wizard' in the config in order for the portraits to not conflict (as both portraits would try to show, conflict with one another, causing neither to be seen)

Yes please, sometimes my game crashes and I know there are a lot of errors but I don't know how to fix them, I feel like I broke everything
Ok I'll be typing a list of fixes so it might take a bit
- It seems that you've removed Spacecore from your modded game (probably from the smapi message saying that it affects your save data?) You don't have to worry about the smapi message - rather it's telling you to not remove it mid-save. It's imperative to add it back it's very likely to be causing some of the crashes (Json assets and all skill mods require spacecore to work). You also don't have to worry about if it's save to add, the author was hired by CA to help out with the 1.6 update!
- I'd update ALL of these mods (image attached)
- I'd redownload: PolyamorySweet mod, PolyamorySweet Rooms mod, MissCoriel's NPC Unique Courtship Response, Way Back Pelican Town & Looking for Love as that may fix some errors.
- You have two mods which are both trying to edit how your farmer character looks, which then causes neither to be applied. Pick if you'd like to use '(CP) 체형모드' mod OR 'Cute Boots' the mod and remove the one you don't want to use from your mods folder (I'd maybe keep a copy of the mod you remove in case you'd like to swap between the two)
- You can remove: Custom Furniture, Expanded Preconditions Utility, SAAT, Extra Map Layers, PyTK Lite, PYTK, 'seb\assets', 'assets', Shop Tile Framework, Yellog's Dark Brown and Cream Furniture & '기타_병합' as they're either obsolete framework mods that have been added to 1.6 natively or they're no longer compatible with 1.6 (yellogs furniture mod requires custom furniture which isn't updated for 1.6 although you could use a converter to convert it to a CP mod but that's complicated)
- You can delete SMAPI 4.0.8 installer from your mods folder, smapi isn't a mod it's just needed for getting smapi
- You need to put 'Tia's MSD Packs' INSIDE of 'Multiple Spouse Dialogs' folder (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/8711)

What occured?
I replaced the xnb ones with the ones in the Elliott folder that I downloaded, which in theory had the ardor ones
If you're worried about losing vanilla files for your stardew game you don't have to worry. As you can always 'validate' your game files which will check your game files and find any incorrect/corrupt/missing data and reinstall the correct data (without touching your mods)
and how can I validate it?
Did you 'open' the folder as a notepad and a bunch of strange symbols show up? You don't have to worry about that as if you open the document as a wrong type of file it'll open weirdly (as long as you didn't 'save' the file as such - even if you did you have always validate your files)

Please reset your game files. This will fix any broken game files, but won't affect your save files or mods.
If you use XNB mods, see using XNB mods for more info about why they're deprecated, and a list of Content Patcher alternatives.

hello, i'm new to making mods. i've made an unofficial update to eemie's victorian buildings for content patcher that is compatible with 1.6. i'm looking to reach minervamaga for permission to post the updated mod but i'm not sure how to reach them. any ideas?
that is more of a #making-mods-general issue but in your case you're out of luck, minerva hasn't been active for a few years now
they're inactive p much everywhere, however there is a message on their github that says "In the event a new SDV and/or SMAPI version is released that breaks compatibility of my mods, the inactivity duration only needs to be 7 days for the above permission to be valid.
I ask that should I return after such a time, that the person who was kind enough to take over maintenance of my mods return them to myself."

Sorry didn't see your message, could you post your new log? If you'd like to see all three adors portraits for sebastian, Elliott and the Wizard I'd maybe recomend putting all three in a folder together inside of Portraiture titled 'Ador's Portraits All Portraits' and see if that makes it possible to see all the characters portraits at the same time
