I see the problem, albeit I'm confused as to how it's happening
you should probably stop using Vortex as that might be the cause, but the local files here is not the same as your modpath
F:\Archivos de programas\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods is your modpath, but your filepath is F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods

hi, i'm having trouble to play co-op with someone without mods. my mods are mostly visual but it keeps crashing and SMAPI keeps giving this message. can someone help me to understand what is going on, please?
if it's missing executable, that probably means your launch options got fucked
this usually means you have mismatched co-op mods.

It can be complicated, but it's not too difficult. Did you check your launch options, as Lyoko suggested might be the issue?
The texture that's failing is loaded by Json Assets for a Json Assets content pack, so that's probably a question for kittycatcasey. I could look into why it's being disposed if needed, but I would need a minimal Mods folder to test with.
The sve seasonal outfits mod isn't working. It's unzipped in my mods folder but none of the sve characters have their seasonal outfits and it doesn't appear in the genaric config menu
(this is likely the disposal error Elizabeth and I were trying to find in JA)

ah, you're using vanilla style
Vanilla Style isn't loading because it has a dependency on a former component of SVE that doesn't exist anymore
you can still use it, but you have to delete that dependency

well, if the game's open, it won't let you delete it
so you need to close SMAPI/the game

Unfortunately, no, because the quest code just pulls random objects and strings, so we can't dive any further. You'll have to let this quest expire because there is no way to "fix" the errored item.

Cornucopia isn't a JA mod, but the good news is that you should still be able to harves the crops and sell them. It's just that the sprite is an error circle.
But the spinach and the spinach seeds I have in my chest are also errors
there may be a quick solution, but is there a SMAPI command to regenerate some assets? I am missing some of my crops.

If you're looking to spawn items into the game, I'd recommend CJB Item Spawner. You can use debug commands, but I typically don't recommend that as the first course of action.

SMAPI will tell you where it is at the end of the SMAPI installer.
The screenshot you sent up above, it's basically saying that SMAPI can't find the files it needs. And when I opened your log, I saw that the game path is different. Plus this is 1.5.6
So mods that were updated for 1.6 won't work on 1.5.6

This is definitely a recolor issue - 1.6 added new assets. You're using multiple recolor mods when you can only use one, so none of them get loaded. You have to choose.

if that's NOT where your steam install is, then we have something to deal with
So, you need to do a few things. 1) You need to delete your current launch options in Steam, since they go to the old game file. 2) Bookmark or save this NEW file location because you'll need it later. 3) Reinstall SMAPI like you're starting from scratch

Based on the installation instructions, I thought I needed to install both VPR and the VPR for SVE mods since I'm playing SVE 😮
But you also have Earthy Recolor installed

No problem! When you reinstall SMAPI, it will give you the new game path. You will need to enter this into your Steam Launch options or your game won't load mods.

Mainly because if it's cropped, I'm assuming you'll be cutting out the filepath, which is necessary for this part.

That error message basically means that you cannot use Tunnel to the Desert with SVE
They are both trying to replace the Desert with a Load action

maybe around half the times I try to cut a tree the game gets louder and louder and louder until it's probably 10x or 15x the original game volume with distorted audio clipping since it's so loud and it lasts for like 5 whole seconds after I stop cutting the tree and then just returns to normal could someone help please

It's been a while since I've fully modded, I downloaded and got everything working, no errors. But I have a ton of Warp warning for different mods i think and don't really know what to do about it. Is there a fix or do I just ignore? Should be the log.

So I got the chocobo valley mod and even better artisan goods mods. However it caused my mushrooms to not be processed by the dehydrator. The dehydrator still works with most modded mushrooms except the witch’s swamp one though I don’t know if that has to do with amanita lover.
I don’t why but when new arts for dehydrator are added it likes to break the game

So it seems that when you updated your mods, you overwrote your old versions instead of deleting the old versions first.
You need to delete both SVE and East Scarp, then reinstall the latest version.

So when the game was updated to 1.6, quite a lot of mod drops several framework dependencies. Rodney, for example, used to use MFM and JA, but now doesn't need them anymore. If you just overwrites Rodney, its folder for MFM and JA would still be there.

My gf installed SMAPI and mods but when she launched the game again, the chicken icon is gone from her discord status. It would be really nice to get that chicken icon back.

Generally all the mods that have NPCs would be a safe bet.
Can you be more specific? Is it the portraits, the sprites of both? Is it all of them or just some specific characters?
You should also be able to check the requirements or change logs for the mods you are redownloading on the NexusMods pages to see which ones no longer need the dependencies
from what I can tell portraits only, they just use the vanilla portrait it seems, all characters (except the ones with no seasonal replacements, those use existing portrait replacements)
Okay, first you have both Seasonal Outfits for SVE and Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic for SVE. You don't need both, and Seasonal Outfits for SVE isn't updated for 1.6 anyway so try deleting that one.

Hello, I was playing last night with a bunch of mods installed and it was working fine. When I try to start the game now it crashes on load of any save / I checked smapi logs but nothing out of the ordinary / no errors or what not so wondering if anyone could nudge me in the right way to debug?

It looks like the game is searching for a file you previously added to your Content folder (XNB modding). XNB mods break during major game updates and are not recommended, so you may need to verify your game files/integrity to return them to normal.
Okay, just to confirm, the vanilla characters portraits are wearing the vanilla winter outfits instead of the winter outfit from Seasonal Cute? However, the sprites themselves properly show the Seasonal Cute version?

Generally you want the mods to match as closely as possible between you and your friend to reduce the crash risk
Without a log from both of you, it's hard to pinpoint a cause
There are a few notable exceptions (usually listed on that mod's page) that act up when someone other than the host has it installed, but generally you need everything the same if it changes gameplay mechanics, data, or maps to prevent issues.
I will ask her for an ss with the ways to add them as well, now works fine
If it's working now, you're probably good! If you find yourself disconnecting a lot, you will need to compare logs and mod lists.

Okay after some digging it was most likely because I have a mod that shows the sprites of the fishes in the sea and I set it's density to 2x which caused it to crash on load I think. After resetting that and re-loading it loads in fine 👍
Just a question. I have started a vanilla save and now i have the expanded mod to start a meadowland farm. But i opened and played the original vanilla one so it now it has the expanded experience too. If i am to delete the expanded mod will it crash or corrupt the original vanilla save? I just wanna know before i play too long with the expanded mod using the original vanilla save
(FTM) Atelier Crops and Forage seems to be out of date and your version was missing the update key to notify you-- latest is 5.0.6. Try updating that one and see what happens.

I'm not really comfortable giving advice on save editing, so someone else might be a bit more familiar with it, or you can try to rollback your save by using a backup. There's a command or wiki page for that somewhere...

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day. In multiplayer, the game saves after all players click through the prompts at end of day and wake up in the morning.

uh ppja has been broken for awhile now i thought. you have the whole ppja suite in your mods. cornucopia is supposed to replace ppja suite of mods eventually
so you really shouldnt have them installed on 1.6
They said they've removed them now or at least implied it

Hello, I'm currently experiencing a very annoying glitch in which by interacting with the kitchen in my house the sound of inventory opening repeats over and over, breaks the walking animation, makes the game stutter and it displays a message "The kitchen appliance is currently in use, please try again", here's the log, I would really appreciate some help with fixing this :[

(I use the stardrop mod manager bc I find it really handy, but I did notice that it sometimes deletes mods in attempts to overwrite previous versions and doesn't fully delete all the files when deleting a mod, Stardrop got updated today and idk if anything changed but it could be contributing to the issues in some way)

I already relaunched the game once and checked the mods for updated versions and its all up to date, I could interact with the fridge at first but after interacting with the kitchen itself the fridge door is permanently open and it results in what I mentioned, unable to interact with either the kitchen or the fridge anymore

Mateo would not appear before you've seen their introduction scene. Make sure you've met Marlon, and have seen the scene at the museum of Marlon talking with Gunther, then go to the mines.

yeah I did followed the steps unless I did it wrongly? I extracted the [cp]/[cc]/[npc]/etc folders directly into its respective mods folders, that's what I'm supposed to do right?
Alright, specifically looking at your error: It seems you mistakenly put Stardew Valley Expanded into Ridgeside Village.
As for Downtown Zuzu and East Scarp, Nyapu hasn't updated them for 1.6 yet, so the file structure is different.

Then most probably the old version of the mod was not deleted properly when updating, making some files and code that shouldn't be in it left. Should be fixed if you delete it and reinstall it.

My daughter grew up to be a child, but when visiting ginger island she glitches out during her time there
this is what happens:
She is a child, but everytime she goes to ginger island her sprites revert back to a toddler

NVM I think I figured it out, apparently it's a conflict w/ Better Crafting.
"Does not work with the craft from nearby chests feature of Convenient Chests. However, Better Crafting has its own version of that to use. You will need to configure it, though."

Hey there! I have two mods that use Content Patcher to overwrite item sprites and they have some overlap, how can I control which mod applies as priority and which applies for items the first mod doesn’t overwrite?
Say mod A applies on items 1, 2 and 3, and mod B applies to 1, 2, 3 and 4. I want mod A on 1, 2, and 3 and mod B on item 4.
You know that would not surprise me. It's caused some mod issues before
So we go into #making-mods-general with this to be honest. You have few options depending on the mod
- Are there configs? Some authors offer the ability to turn off the items you dont want to use
- Replace the png of A4 with B4s assets
- Take out the portion of the content.json for a4 so it's not editing that vanilla asset
- Add priority codes to the content.json but that would affect all assets
Configs are not nearly as granular as I’d need. They don’t typically let you pick per item.

This similar to 4 would affect the full assets
so you can set A always loads AFTER B
but then A is going to overwrite ALL of B's because it loads last

So this is a known issue that is hoped to be fixed with the SDV 1.6.4 release
For now the only way to handle this according to flash is the smapi command debug killnpc Martin or debug killnpc Claire

If a mod has been updated after March 19 2024, then it is likely to be compatible with 1.6. Some pre-1.6 mods will also work in 1.6 without requiring an update - testing out if a mod still works will not damage your game, so it is often quicker to test for yourself than to ask others if it is working.

1.6 has brought such a massive change to modding that in the beginning here it's probably best to grab all updates

because a lot of the bugs we get reported to us were fixed in an update

Everything erroring out is ||in the vanilla game as of 1.6||
Because of this, you'll want to uninstall the PPJA packs they come from as they will lag your game otherwise.

Spacecore doesn't modify folder contents, it just stores data from mods to prevent your save from breaking if you load in without said mod

So this might actually be an issue with your anti-virus or a recent update to a browser. Chrome's latest update has caused issues downloading mods
