I had someone with a similar issue and it's because they had queued up their save prior to loading the farm mod in
You can fix it pretty easily with farm switcher, no clip etc

OK orry for making this so long and sorry for posting in the wrong channel earlier lol!! I used this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/22165 and selected the custom pet when creating my new save. I reached day 15 and realized I never got the Marnie event ;_; I even skipped to day 20 of spring and nothing happened. ||Some people here said that since the mod description page said it was only available in Marnie's shop, it should just be there. so I checked, and nothing pet related is there. then I learned you can only buy a new pet from her once you've reached max affection with your current pet, which I can't even do because I have no pet.|| So I removed that mod and found a mod that adds in a custom pet that can be selected while creating a new save, just to test if the event can even happen anymore- https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/19982. I also went into my save's files to change what pet type I had, copying the IDs from the mod itself: <whichPetType>skellady.RaccoonPet.Raccoon1</whichPetType><whichPetBreed>skellady.RaccoonPet.Raccoon1</whichPetBreed>. I opened up my save, skipped to day 20, still no event. Is it joever T-T can I even get a pet anymore??

I'm having issues with my sprinklers... if i sat them in a certain spot i can no longer interact with them or remove them. it slso happens with scarecrow's.

Is your log full of duplicated errors? You can try replicating the problem and closing the game as soon as it happens so the log is not full of errors

If your log file is too big, the most important parts are usually at the beginning/end, so you can trim a lot of the middle portion to upload your log
Beginning is all the loading stuff and end is usually where errors are most likely to occur
Late to the party, but this just started happening to me last night. The only mod that I added yesterday was Automate, but I also updated a few, so Iām not sure what could be the culprit. Did you figure it out?

Make sure you are doing a clean installation. That is remove the old mod folder completely, then install the new one.

If you deleted the old files and installed the new one it might just be a manifest issue

No. I have them installed as well (not enabled though but stardrop would still tell)
Not sure atm if cjb is one of those where the 1.6 files are optional downloads though and can't check because phone and work

Also, show item sell price || is a vanilla feature now with a book||

but it was the autohotkey i have
for anim canceling
once i do this it just spams right click

in casual gameplay it helps speed up the process
You're probably just getting told not to use it then I guess. 
I use fast animations and gave no issues with speed

Ahā¦well, i saw a similar bug report with āThe Return of Immersive Sprinklersā mod, so i just checked itās mod page and someone said uninstalling fixed the issueā¦
Maybe you can:
-Move the Mod somewhere where it is ādisabledā in the game
-Run the game again, and break the sprinkler that is stuck and position it where you want (That is, if thats even the mod causing the issue)
-And lastly put the mod back so it works� (Hopefully!)
I just wanna confirm it real quick! Maybe it is not the issue, but it is hard to tell

Then the best advice I can give you is just skip anim cancel.
The game is no competition there's no need for you to be 1/3846 seconds faster or something. Play and enjoy the game with your friend without worrying about being a tiny little tad faster

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue because even though I've seen people with the same problem on the internet their fixes don't work
So my friends stardew doesn't work on steam, it shows as if it's running (it has the stop button on steam) but if you open task manager you can see there's actually nothing running.
We were able to get it to work by using the compatibility settings, but then now he can't use SMAPI because it doesn't work properly with those settings
We've been trying to figure out how to fix the normal version working on steam but can't, any help would be appreciated!
(we already tried verifying the files with steam and re installing the game fully) 
Unfortunately, there's no actual fix known for this issue. It happens because of the Monogame framework that allows the game to run in 64-bit; and mods only work in 64-bit mode, unfortunately

I'm going to be perfectly transparent-the issue seems to be memory and how much smapi is working
your log is 53 pages long for 7 minutes of game. It seems several mods are clashing, too, and the game is confused about things missing. Whoever the NPC Isaiah is is preventing your Museum from existing, too.
The thing is, it's only Cindersap that crashes to desktop. All of the rest of the vanilla areas are fine. And all of the modded areas I've tried.
I don't know the exact cause of the issue. It's being investigated, and several working theories have been passed along
Oh, if it's just Cindersap the culprit is TMXL Map Toolkit. Delete that
(is that even used still)
Not by mods that have migrated properly.
And for some reason, if you have S&S and/or SVE it burns the forest down even if it's not touching anything in the log.

That fixed it, thank you! I knew I had some out of date stuff that I'm attempting to migrate for personal use, but I don't have nearly enough modding experience for it to go very quickly.
So just as an update, he went afk and left it running for like 10 minutes and it actually loaded

Can someone tell me why sve no longer requires many other mods on nexus like it used to?
For searchability: Cindersap forest crashes or crashing is most likely caused by TMXL Map Toolkit
For instance, when I downloaded it before it asked for SAAT audio api thing but now it doesnt
Simple. 1.6 made Content Patcher a lot more powerful and dehardcoded a lot of things.
Which is why we stress you need to do clean installs when you update after removing everything.
Oh, thats nice and really neat. No longer have to update so many mods
A lot of people broke their 1.6 update by not doing a fresh install and leaving old folders in the SVE mother folder

happened to me when 1.6 came out. It just wont start but now its all good
I'll probably have to bug Myuu and ask. I could be wrong about it only affecting Smapi (or...there's another unrelated issue?) but the working theory is something is added to the Startup preferences file that makes it chug along
(I removed the entire mods folder and installed everything from scratch because of how massive 1.6 was for modders)

Are you sure it's lnh and not something else clashing?

- Get 4 hearts with the wizard and use the basement shrine, or
- Enter
debug cmenuin the smapi console

You just type debug cmenu in the actual Smapi Console and hit enter, and it takes you to the customize Farmer screen from the start of the game

Foliage Redone hasn't been updated since 2021. You should probably remove that one and stick to earthy's tree

1.6 changed a whole lot of things. And it's still very new. Project yellog has been on and off of nexus (completely understandable) for a while now.

The short version is unless I'm mis-seeing that that's the game attempting to render ||Green Rain|| trees without having the tilesheets for them
And yes, I know there's no ||Green Rain|| in that image

well, any pre-1.6 mods affecting trees need to be removed

It'll create its own folder, yep.
So you will have "Mods" folder, which is a collection of all mods, and then within it you'd have "Skull Caves Elevator" folder, or whatever its name would be, where the actual mod files reside.

You can actually check right away.
If you open your settings, at the very bottom you should find Mod Options.
And within those options you can find your mod, if everything is correct!
Not all mods have settings like this, but Skull Cavern has, so it's a good way to check. You can also see if it installed properly right from the title screen.

Good! Congratulations, now you can try some other mods as well, should the desire arise!
You should look up on Nexus and install "Generic Mod Config Menu", so you can toggle and change some settings for mods that support it.
Skull Caverns Elevator for example lets you choose the difficulty and frequency of elevators, and maybe even force you to pay a price for using it, if you need some challenge.

that's just telling windows to pass arguments to the program that's being run
If you run into issues, you should only have 1 smapi. Whether you install it manually or on Vortex it'll be fine, but don't do both.
im having issues - i have been using mods fine the game crashed last night i updated the mods and ikm getting this

Are you sure these two are compatible? Did you check compatibility on mod's page?

Nothing you have is known to cause crashes. I would put my suspicion on timeskip but the best course of action is to just play. If it happens again, post a log with the crash.

im trying to edit the inn in east scarp via mapeditextender. i havent tested the mod outside this location much, but it seems like this is the only location where im running into the error
when i put down a new tile i am instantly hit with the an error that is saying I have an invalid tilesheet reference. i can still put down the tilesheet edits but when i leave the inn I am looped into crashing
i can roll back to the inn if i delete the .json in mapedit so it's not like save ruining but I would like to be able to resolve it if possible haha

Super minor Q, but when i started a modded save last time (SVE plus some QoL mods, grandpas farm, grampleton fields) I got random crashes when activating books. This was super minor and only seemed to pop up whenever i used two books in some similar order, and it hasn't really happened since. SMAPI didn't provide me with much to go with in terms of logs either.. Anyone who has a clue what's up?

It seems like Redraw Pelican Town is overriding Medieval Buildings. Try going into Redraw Pelican Town (VPR) menu in GMCM and disable the buildings there.
No, sadly. It seemed more like the game forced an exit rather than a crash, as I had no crash logs of any kind

Sorry, I went to sleep but it should be spoilered now.
Those were definetly good leads but none of them seemed to be a fault. I imagined i would be Wild Animals (It's pretty issue-prone), but I tested my file using it individually (And then Caroline, and then SVE) and none caused the issue, I then ran all three together to see if maybe it was some sort of conflict between them but the pathing worked fine even then.
I thought perhaps Polysweet or Custom Spouse Rooms might be somewhat to blame only because they can also have issues someimes, so I ran the file without them, one at a time, nothing seemed to change.
Anyways I tried testing this further and made a shorter more relevant log (the last one was bloated with irrelevant different in-game days)

By staying at the bus stop all day I noticed that, it was only Abigail who was causing the issue, and Emily after her. It seemed like not being in the BusStop made the NPCs stuck with her, but if I remained there and talked to her hey were able to walk through. I suspected that the issue might be related to them both ||having to attend the NPCs stands at the festival but in going there I saw Evelyn was at the stand, so no luck.||
At 12am sharp, Emily got unsucked, noclipped through some fences into the bottom of the map, walked back up to the bus and joined the conga line of returning NPCs. Abigail did the same thing but only at 1:30am. I am still at a complete loss to what exactly could be causing this.

In my case, I pushed something too far with the mods and even vanilla was refusing the savefile. Thankfully, Smapi backup system exists, and I could pick a save from yesterday. All is fine now.

The update that just released is causing a few people some problems
I'd report to Matt and revert back to the file previously
I think Matt's aware and working on it
I deleted config, did a clean reinstall and it's still erroringā¢ļø
But more logs could help
Crow amd Atra it's been reported like 4 or 5 times with the latest update.
The fix is going back a level and getting the logs to Matt
So it's probably conflicting with something them š¬
We will need to test what later as I have some appointments or you can trial and error but turning uour mods on in batchs
If you got to the bugs tab it should have an add bug button I believe in nexus

the errors I saw had to do with Better Chests, it was the only thing I recognized.

(My working theory is that Windows updating in the background somehow messed with SDV)

every time i go to Pelican Town (Starting from Summer 6), the game got stuck and the camera is locked at the playground next to the community center ( i can still open inventory and interact with my items in my hotbar)

Apologies if this has already been asked here but is Better Junimos causing anybody else issues? Iām aware that the official update is still being worked on (last I knew, the dev said they were on a trip) so Iām using the unofficial one from the forums but my junimos wont plant crops since moving from spring to summer and there arenāt any error messages in my log related to better junimos

Also, katrielles custom music doesn't work because custom music is missing. Which is dead basically with 1.6

I did find that value in one of the files and it was set to true

There are a few errors related to another mod I have but it's all optional stuff I haven't been bothered to download and it works just fine. In regards to the Junimos, there are no errors.

Could be but I turned off skill progression and it still asked for the 5 iron to unlock planting. I gave them the iron but they still won't plant even when I set them to work for free. I'll report the bug anyway but for now I'll keep poking around to see if there's just a value that I'm missing

here is my log. 2 mods are out of date because 1 has issues on newest version and 2nd i cant find the updated version, i started a fresh save and its fine. I have also loaded with only expanded the the farm and its still in the wrong place, also tried to recreate the issue on a fresh save but enabling mods bit by bit to workout which one it could but still no luck. went to robin to try and move it but she cant.its in the right place on new saves.

You can reload an asset by invalidating it from the cache. It will be reloaded next time the game requests it.

Could you explain specifically what happens and why it wonāt load?
(E.g: is it just a dark screen forever? It just keeps loading? Perhaps the game closes itself before even loading the save? Or it wonāt let you click?)
If your mod changes any data you can invalidate that data's cache to force a reload with your changes applied as soon as the game wants to load said data (C# stuff)

I sadly canāt find any strictly messages saying it was been fixed, but Riot and another Mod suggested to use āNoClipā to move it!

Hello, I accidentally moved the stardew valley folder from Steamapps > common to my desktop, now the game won't open and it says this when I try to move it back to the steam folder.
looking at the comments, the issue of junimos not planting was solved, but unless you know how to build the mod from the github repo you'll have to wait for the next release

Hii, thanks for answering again, took a while because when doing what you said... the error didn't happen? So I got to testing again.
What I found has me more confused. Something's happening between three mods: "Caroline Is Single" (requires Content Patcher), Stardew Valley Expanded (requires Farm Type Manager) and PolyamorySweet (Requires Contetnt Patcher and Spacecore)
But the error only happens when the three of them are enabled.
Only Caroline Is Single? No error
Only PolyamorySweet? No error
Only SVE? No error
Caroline + PolyamorySweet? No error
Caroline + SVE? No error
PolyamorySweet + SVE? No error
Abigail and Emily will only stuck everyone at the bus stop if all three mods are enabled (along their requirements). So, I ran a day with only them, here's the log

This is almost assuredly because you have two installs, probably on the steam version.
you have a save game from 1.6.3, steam says your game is updated, that log is from a 1.6.2 version, if you uninstall the game, is the 1.6.2 version removed from your system?

right click stardew in steam, hover over manage, then hit browse local files
running the game via SMAPI opens the window in a way where its difficult to tab out of it and nothing can overlay it (windows screenshot tool, geforce experience). starting up vanilla sdv works just fine, is there any way i can change it?
Then give us a screenshot of where EXACTLY it takes you.
i.e. the filepath up top needs to be visible.

im trying to edit the inn in east scarp via mapeditextender. i havent tested the mod outside this location much, but it seems like this is the only location where im running into the error
when i put down a new tile i am instantly hit with the an error that is saying I have an invalid tilesheet reference. i can still put down the tilesheet edits but when i leave the inn I am looped into crashing
i can roll back to the inn if i delete the .json in mapedit so it's not like save ruining but I would like to be able to resolve it if possible haha

enter msconfig
go to boot
check safe boot
reboot
to undo, same thing but uncheck safe boot

I am playing on steam deck and modded with sve and others and most everything is working well except my watering can will not upgrade functionally. It has been upgraded through iridium but still only does 1 tile at a time. Is this likely a bug or are there mods anyone is aware of that might affect it? All other tools have upgraded as expected.

You may need to configure the new ResizeChestCapacity option in Better Chests
I split out resizing the menu from resizing chests, so capacity reverted to default
Set them to -1 if you want unlimited space

There is a fix in place that should come from Chests Anywhere. In the meantime, you can update your Better Chests settings to use a Medium menu so that it only shows 3 rows instead of 4. Any extra items can be accessed by scrolling.
The dropdowns are from Chests Anywhere so Better Chests is unable to fix them

There's a mod you can install called Profiler that might help you find out if anything is freezing your game
It tracks how much time every mod is spending on certain things, and it'll give you a summary of what mods take up the most time
In general, however, before doing the profiler route, do two things
