I think that's an issue with Producer Framework Mod. Automate is trying to automate machines, but PFM intercepts the logic and calls the game methods that trigger interaction behavior.
It's the newest update, I guess it's just Apple being paranoid. I re downloaded again and the the DLL is now there.

The chests behave as though you're manually inserting items each time Automate tries to tick them (once per second by default), and so when there's insufficient material, the error messages aren't suppressed and follow you across the entire world.

It specifically lays out the exact folder path starting from Macintosh HD to where you have the folder named "Stardew Valley Mods"
I just started with some mods, but I've run into a couple small issues
One of them is that when I leave my farm my player model is invisible and I can only return into my farm
Has anybody ever run into this before?
I'm not sure what mod could be causing this issue is the main thing

Yes, it should. You can always check the posts on the mod page and barring that, try loading it in your game. SMAPI will tell you if it doesn't work.

I suspect that once you put any downloaded updates into this folder, then run SMAPI, you should either get errors for those that can't load or update notifications.
Okay so make sure you delete and replace, not overwrite.
So delete the portraiture mod folder, and then put in the new one.

Hi there experiencing heavy lag/stutter on my 1.5.6 save with 250+ mods. What’s this gametickupdate thing? I’ve tried in SMAPI-internal config.json setting listen for console input to false among other tricks but can’t get rid of the fps dropping to 15-30 (if I’m lucky).

Hello, I'm using ohodavi portraits mod and I can't get it to show up I've tried using portraiture as well to see if it needs that to work but it won't load. Only one portrait mod is working with it buy I'm using many different ones and I can't figure it out.
1.5.6, sadly probably won't ever update to 1.6 since most of my mods are deprecated

Content Patcher Animations is a known problem in 1.5.6. You could try removing it and changing the manifest.json to "false" for those mods that have it as a dependency.
Hi, I'm playing modded with some friends, and Stardew Valley Expanded seems to no longer work. I've tried updating it and it does not fix the problem. I cannot access areas that were added with the Expanded version, and trying to go into town causes my game to freeze and crash. Can someone help me with this issue?

Things add up over time. So it could work just fine in the beginning, but as more objects or animals or whatever is added, then the stutter compounds, if that makes sense?

I see! I intended to use a player cabin for my farm because they're cuter than the normal cabins haha. Hopefully that means they are different files I can edit!
That just means the elevator spawns on every floor
I've just been through the update process and this is the last thing that isn't working
So part of the issue here is that some mods are disabled in Vortex. We don't recommend using it because it can randomly "lose" SDV mod files.
So I just downloaded a yandere Elliott portrait mod by evellynyuri and it is also not working I do have portraiture as well but its not loading with it.
You definitely need to update Farm Type Manger, though!

They are mods that don't have any other dependency other than SMAPI. Portraiture, for example, is a C# mod

you have a lot of mods editing the files the bus is on after the japanese style bus mod and you probably want to keep them all (and I don't want to check them all), so you get the elegant solution
open the content.json inside the Japanese Style Bus folder and add "Priority": "Late", before every line that starts with "ToArea"
it should then look like this "FromFile": "assets/JapaneseStyleBus_1.png", "Priority": "Late", "ToArea":

I'm getting a SMAPI error where it says Galaxy auth failure: FAILURE_REASON_GALAXY_SERVICE_NOT_SIGNED_IN and I'm not sure what this means but I would guess has to do GOG Galaxy as I bought the game through GOG? But I have previously played modded stardew (years ago but still) without ever seeing this error
i have same problem .. but i ignore it .. as i see no problem playing single player
all that means is that SMAPI can't detect GOG Galaxy being installed. Which happens if you installed the game from a installer you get from the site.
To clarify on this, Riot, it's a bug with DSV Core's weather token where it's not picking up the right word, is all 😅 I'm aware of it (there's bug reports on Nexus about it) and will be fixing it soon
it's safe to ignore unless you are planning on doing multiplayer (think multiplayer requires gog galaxy? no clue how multiplayer works.)

I'm trying to update my mods and such and saw SMAPI was outdated. I've installed the correct version and used the installer to get the right launch path and put that into Steams launch options but SMAPI doesn't open, the game just loads up vanilla.

To be honest I am not familiar with the terms "mods" and "portraits" I thought they were one of the same. I can kind of tell you what I did- i found a portrati on nexusmods that i liked for stardew and i downloaded it and went into my [CP] stardew valley expanded--> assets--> character files-->portraits and tried to manually plop the new portraits into it but it didnt work.
aferwards I tried to load the game and realized my expanded pack wasnt working because the introdutions start was back at 28 and not 31 people... I hope this makes sense

okay what if you run SMAPI from command line to start with? that way the console window stays open after closing/crashing and you can read it

am I just launching from the smapi API in the folder?
If the portrait folder already existed in the expanded character files would it still be ok to remove it? Then I would no longer have one in my stardews valley folder.. is this where the new portraits I downloaded from nexus comes into play where I put it into my mods folder?

what you need to do is open the command prompt in that folder. you can do that by typing cmd in the address bar while the folder is open
then once you have it open, you can enter StardewModdingAPI.exe and it should launch. then try and crash it and see what it says

Hi, I was wondering if I could have help figuring out why the HybridCropEngine and Kaya's HybridMiniRose mods aren't working. Before I started messing with the code the items didn't show up in Pierre's shop at all. After messing with the code, the items show up in the shop but they are errored and don't work. Any advice or help is appreciated, even if it's to say that nothing will work. Thanks a bunch in advance!

no worries! the character files on the bottom was from my "stardewvalley expanded" that is located in mods
that was where i tried to manually override the portraits that already existed in there
Baha I just managed to copy my modded game from my android phone to my android tablet and it runs so much better on the tablet!

i checked the portrait ur using .. after u reinstall SVE .. drag and drop the folder .. outside the SVE folder .. it should look like this

Don't uninstall Stardew Valley itself, just uninstall the Stardew Valley expanded mod!!

Nah, uploaded to new version, had some trouble; uninstalled and reinstalled SMAPI, tried the legacy version, more trouble; went back to the new version, it worked.
But with far fewer mods.

Try uninstalling and re-installing. As in: click on Mac executable, choose the unistall prompt from terminal, close terminal. Then click on the Mac executable again, choose install prompt from terminal, close terminal. Launch Stardew, see if it works.
On steam when you right click on stardew you gotta hit properties and a box should pop up and on the bottom it should say launch options\
