Hello!! I have a question and ran into a problem. I can't get SVE to work. I've been updating my mods through stardrop, and i've made sure that i don't over showcase them when updating and I made sure that some of them (like SVE) will be downloaded manually. However no matter what I did it doesn't work

Starting with TMXL, 1.24.1 is not the newest version. You'll need the 1.24.3-alpha.20240226 from the optional files. I do not know if this will necessarily fix anything, afaik TMXL is obsolete with 1.6 and will only be required by mods that haven't updated to not need it, but those mods will probably end up updating to not need it.
Better Ranching 1.9.2 is broken, an unofficial update has been uploaded to the nexus by another author here: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20721

AeroCore is completely broken and will not be updated, it is "retired" per the mod author. Custom Furniture is obsolete as well now because mod authors can make custom furniture without a framework mod, I believe. It probably won't receive an update. Same as with TMXL, some mods might still require it, but when those mods update to 1.6 they should probably drop the dependency.

They will break, for sure, but if they do break then it probably means they haven't been updated to 1.6 yet themselves. There are a few exceptions where some mod authors have pushed out updates that still rely on old frameworks but I assume that's so people stop begging for the 1.6 update while they convert some of this stuff.

You can disable search and tabs in Better Chests so that it's UI items don't conflict, but Chests Anywhere will still draw over big chests, and that has nothing to do with Better Chests since Vanilla 1.6 has big chests now so the issue would occur even if you removed Better Chests.
Can you share your config for Better Chests? I'd like to test this issue out.

Now you delete, then fully reinstall, SVE
i recommend daisy Nikos earthy recolor if you cant get that to work
Those errors at the bottom are indicative of you overwriting, rather than deleting and reinstalling, on an update

I made an issue at the automate github for it after some digging pointed to the way they were decrementing the stack size when grabbing the item
Was told that there was a new method for 1.6 that it should be using now

I also seem to get a (well known) issue. I can't put my eggs in my mayo machine. I was told to change something on all of my mods using CP, but I have 200 mods and most of them use CP...
I also have no error towards these mayo machines. I just can't put the egg in it

Alright so this egg thing is still bothering me. Is the only way to fix this is to change the format version in the files of every mod that uses Content Patcher?
(Most custom farms that haven't been updated suffer from various issues relating to warp changes, tile property changes, and new syntax. Same goes for most barns and coops-missing autofeed functions due to autofeed tile property.)

The Content Patcher format issue is not limited to mods that touch the machines. You need to change them ALL from what we have found in testing.

hi does anyone know how difficult it would be to switch from Vortex mod manager to Stardrop mod manager? I'm not sure if I would need to delete all the mod files then uninstall Vortex then reinstall the mods and install Stardrop, or if it's as easy as opening Stardrop with no need to delete and redownload my mods? thank you!
Stardrop detects all the mods you already have in your folder, but idk about switching from Vortex...
Its generally a good idea to redownload anything you got from Vortex for Stardrop or manual install anyway if you are switching, as Vortex has been known to eat files.

The reason I went here initially is because I am still using mods and I was worried that if I went there they'd just say "just remove your mods" or "it's probably because you're using mods so we can't help"

Honestly you could try removing the mods, starting a new game with fiancé to test and seeing if it still disconnects. If not then BAM it’s not a mod issue

my portrait mods are working at all even though i installed everything required 😭
So my current version of the stardew valley is 1.5.6.52 I just installed smapi from this website: https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases from a youtube tutorial since 2023 I did the following steps and I had allowed all access but when I open the smapi stardew valley it's keep getting crashes I did once in January this year it's crashed too so I assumed it's because of the smapi version is too old and now i tried again it's still crash

We had this issue with a married couple in one of my previous multiplayer games and it turned out one of them had their network connection set to be metered. Might not be the case for you, but worth checking.

i tried with pytklite and the images were there but they were very zoomed in or just not showing but i looked it up and saw it wasnt compatible with pyktlite so i downloaded the normal version and now the images just aren't working at all 😢
Hii! So I have been using DCburgers portrait mod which I assume many are familiar with. Its not updated but I managed to get it working however since 1.6 came with winter outfits for NPCs, the portrait mod isnt working in winter.. Does anyone have idea how to fix this?

That is listed in the Governor command response. There were a few people tinkering with a new build of android SMAPI but I don't think any of them have finished development yet, so you may just need to be patient.

In your Network and Internet settings, go to Wifi and properties to make sure Set as metered is unchecked.
If you are on Windows, that is.

For the future - while I'm no expert on DCBurger mods and honestly don't want to learn - Json Assets is a mod that adds items. DCBurger stuff is portraits
They're two different systems entirely 
does anyone know if modded multiplayer is broken? My friend and I just cannot join each other's games it doesn't load and shows a bunch of errors on SMAPI
we did play a tiny bit then on the second night after we slept and woke up third day my friend crashed
then we made a new save and neither of us can join the other it doesn't load at character creation

I figured it wouldn't be that easy. Unfortunately, you might just have to wait for Myuu or someone more knowledgeable about the networking to pop in, because that's the only idea I had.

1.6 made it so many custom farm layouts have to be changed (the biggest change I can immediately think of is that all old BusStop warps are broken, since the BusStop map was resized) so that was probably at least part of the issue.

I don't think it should have any bearing on the visual appearance of the fences, but I know No Fence Decay is broken currently, it's throwing lots of errors in your log. Depending on how it's coded, that might actually have an impact on the visuals as weird as it sounds.

So I have all these mods active but whenever I start the day, it crashes before it can load properly. I just redownloaded SVE to so I'm not sure what's wrong here.

Might be a huge ass shot in the dark but can you try and reinstall everything related to SVE (Stardew valley expanded)? Like delete it and then plug it back in.

Two things-
- Get rid of tmxl map toolkit, (this is probably not the issue, but very much can cause these issues in your future)
- Open the folder and send a screenshot or screen snip/clip of the assets. It is trying to find a file path to panorama.png

(Two step process, you reset your computer, then you verify file integrity. You do the reboot to ensure it isn't hardware shenanigans.)

Either play on your 1.6 save in 1.6 or go back to 1.5 and make a new save
You can't play 1.6 in 1.5 because there's major differences, and in 1.5, items in 1.6 didn't exist yet.

The last mod editing the fences is Elle's Seasonal Buildings so they most likely apply the recoloured overlay. It should have config option to disable ( set to false ) the fences. I also highly recommend GMCM mod for easy in-game config editing.

Phoebe is base east scarp. Which, I have downloaded (For obvious reasons.) And is, in fact, completely loaded in and functioning for me. 
I'm having a lot of problems installing SMAPI's newest version. I can't get it to install properly. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I downloaded the newest version and extracted it to my downloads folder, but when I open it, it has install on Windows.bat instead of .exe and I'm confused since some sources say to change bat to exe, but when I do a windows error pops up that says "This app cannot run on your PC."
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or can someone please help me with this?

theres a known bug where sometimes automate somehow fails to remove an empty stack so you get stacks of 0 items
