I see. I wonder if it's related to the customer farm I am using. I am using Lnh's Tidy Farm and I've never used it before so I didn't know what to expect. Apparently, Pierre's, Clint's, and Robin's stores are appearing on my farm. They are also appearing in town as normal but I didn't notice them on my map because I hadn't explored it much.

Just an FYI update. I put Market Day back in after I turned off Lnh's "enable shops" option in Tidy Farm and the errors stopped and Market day is definitely working now. Thank you so much for your time!

You can turn off "Pause on Lost Focus" in the in-game menu after loading a save and then you can alt-tab out of the game while it's loading and do things - there's a mod, Into the Game (Save Loaded Notifier), that plays the train whistle noise when the save's loaded

Was downloading ridgesside village and when I tried to open the game back up it took forever to get into the game and this popped out

This is normally, especially for expansions. The game bottlenecks because of NPC schedules. Don't click the game, just grab some water, follow the advice in the link above.
Oh, and if you don't have it, install Sprite Master or Fast Loads to mitigate the NPC schedule pathing time.

That's fine. It's just a warning, but it's normal for the mods you're using.

heya got a modding question, using Seasonal Cute Characters mod, and weird that base stardew cast sprites never changed even if its on a different season tho there portraits changed. tried reinstalling it as well but no luck :v
used East Scarp, SVE and RSV version as well but it worked for there NPC, both sprite and portrait changed with season except for the base NPCs, here's my SMAPI in case it will be needed. thank you so much!

Hi! It appears this is because you have "Ana's Toned Down Sprites" that takes priority over all the seasonal sprites.

Mmmmh, my 1.5 copy do not work with SMAPI. I copied the whole file and renamed it to not confuse it with my steam version. Vanilla launch, not modded. Would it need a reinstall of SMAPI ?

You have options if you are worried that the update to 1.6 will break your modded save.

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Rename the game folder to "Stardew Valley 1.5.6" and launch SDV directly from that new location. NOTE: You will not be able to play through Steam anymore unless you also set up the game + SMAPI as a non-Steam game method, so keep that in mind if you care about total playtime hours or achievements.

Event repeater doesn't work like that
It's a framework Not something users can use to repeat events

Every stardew mod only unlocks vanila reciepes and the moded will just stay hidden

But I'm guessing you have mods which have unobtainable recipes
for example, Always Raining in the Valley has recipes for items that are tied to Mia/Henry, but they aren't friendshippable so you can't learn them normally
The mods you gave are probably only taking into account vanilla ones.
The log will show if you have any such mods.

From the SMAPI console window, you can run debug crafting (learn all crafting recipes) and debug cooking (learn all cooking recipes).

No, I'm honestly trying to go in through the front door. Like, I'm in his map, robbed all the bushes. Then I try to go into his house just right through the front door.

Maps are things you warp to, like the Forest is a map in stardew
as is the town
As is Pierre's Shop (SeedShop)
Yes! Yes, I was in HIS map, which is called "East Forest". I walked in there from Pelican Town, it's behind Joja Mart.
Then I went to the front door of his house.
So that means there's a tiledata on his map on the front door of his house that's telling you to warp to WilfordHouse, but the location is Custom_WilfordHouse
And it went to black load screen forever then gave me that error in SMAPI.
As such, warp to house DNE
to fix, you'd have to open the map in tiled and edit it, though you may be able to do it via a Content Patcher patch to the tiledata on the specific door coordinate to instead edit it
But you'd have to know the coordinate.

yes that one. now all you have to do move the portrait mod folders to the inside of the main ridgeside folder
you need to reinstall ridgeside and move the entire folder to your mods folder, not just 1

Normally that error is due to audio not being present at all or, if headphones are plugged in, the audio hardware on the computer is dead

hi folks, would anyone be able to help me figure out an issue on a modded save please? i'm trying to change the appearance of the farm and coop animals, but SMAPI keeps telling me things are awry and i can't figure out what's wrong on my own
i have Json Assets API installed but it says it can't detect it; i have BFAV API installed, says it can't detect it; i removed a couple barn/coop animal mods i had used years ago, and am trying to use different ones that're more up to date (they use Alternative Textures, which i also have installed)
so in the end, the barn/coop animals aren't showing up at marnie's and aren't changed in appearance and i'm not savvy enough to figure it out, if anyone could give me a hand, i'd be much appreciative!

Your log shows no trace whatsoever of any Better Farm Animal Variety or JsonAssets stuff - not the frameworks, not the content packs, nothing. Also your only Alternative Textures thing is for horses.
Json Assets and BFAV aren't listed in your mod loadout, and there are no errors about failing to load them, so i would guess either they are in the wrong mods folder by mistake, or maybe you forgot to unzip them
So if your AT issues are with horses: make sure you're using the Scissors to apply the textures to them
i only have one mods folder, and i see them in there when i look, and the folders are unzipped with their stuff all inside
am i somehow missing special instructions or some other place they're supposed to be?

or you can follow the filepath: go to your D drive, then SteamLibraryGame, then steamapps, then common, then Stardew Valley, then Mods
that's a total mix up on my part then, i haven't played stardew in over a year, so i didn't realize i was doing this all on the wrong file path!

at least SMAPI tells you "Tried to load this folder and it wasn't a SMAPI mod!" in obvious red text when you do that and go to load Stardew because your Celeste mod didn't work :p
i love SMAPI in that regard; i wish all my games had something like SMAPI it would make it so much easier to resolve problems and know what needs to be updated, instead of manually checking on them every month
would you recommend vortex or the stardrop mod manager? currenly unable to lauch via vortex, the smapi window pops up for half a second then closes and the circle on vortex turns back to the play button

okay so i have cute valley and it was working at first, but after i had downloaded more mods then some of the furniture returned to the vanilla colour and idk if its another mod interfering or something else. i thought it was vibrant pastoral at first so i added a dependency but it didnt work

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

If you can't see the Zane folder in third party file manager apps such as Total Commander, you need to use ADB on your PC. Put the mods in an accessible folder, then use adb shell on your PC to connect to the phone and use the shell cp command to copy the mods from where they were, to the zane folder.

It also works with a Mac - 'PC' just means generic computer here.
It's a new Google "security" feature added in Android 13 or 14 on many phones, which prevents applications from seeing some other applications' data folders. Because Android SMAPI hasn't been updated in a while, it isn't behaving ideally.

You have options if you are worried that the update to 1.6 will break your modded save.

Copy and move your game folder to a new location on your computer and launch SDV directly from that new location. For easier access, pin the new location to your favorites or create a shortcut to the .exe file on your desktop!

Hello I play modded stardew valley and I never had any problem till today. I decide to move my steam path for installed games out of program (x86) and I reinstalled Smapi and everything but it was not working anymore. After a lot of different solution I found online nothing had fixed it. So I put back everything inside program(x86) reinstalled smapi to right path and still it won’t work. This is what I get when I try to start the game(see pic) I really need help at this point, I don’t know what to do anymore. Here the pic of the console msg. You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. the one's without numbers is what you would want to extract, the one's with the numbers are newly created folders with the same name as the zips (you usually only want to do that if you know that there's nothing but loose files in the zip)

In general, you can figure out whether a mod is (most likely) to work with the current version of Stardew Valley based on its update date. This is not a guarantee things will work or not work, but is accurate for most mods.
- 2016: Do not install (meant for incredibly early versions of Stardew)
- 2017: Do not install (meant for pre-multiplayer Stardew)
- 2018: Unlikely to work. If a Content Patcher mod, it might work, but in general it is not likely the mod will work.
- 2019: Content Patcher mods can be tried from here fairly easily. C# mods should still be mostly avoided.
- 2020: Content Patcher mods should work, but may be buggy. C# mods may work, but due to the 1.5 update there may be conflicts.
- 2021+: Should be usable.

Just started a new playthrough using the archipelago randomizer mod that I've never used before and a few other mods that I have used before and for about 5-6 hours everything was going fine then I just started a new Stardew playthrough with this mod and for about 5-6 hours it's been fine then just crashed and when I load my save for the archipelago mod there's this loud alarm sound and for a few seconds it works then crashes again.
And I can load up the main menu just fine but when I tried another save to see if it was just the archipelago save having problems and I got a pop up message saying "The game being loaded has no connection information please use the connext_override command to put connection fields before loading it" then sent back to the main menu and I did try googling the message because I've never seen it before and don't understand what it means only nothing comes up.

Fixed the problem it was the UI info suite 2 mod that was giving me trouble only Does anyone know how to get the two mods to work together because I saw that emmalution who is a YouTuber had problems with that happening to her when using both mobs only she got it to work again but never said how and when I tried googling to see what to do however nothing comes up.

Hey! Can someone help me out a bit? I have been doing some save editing on my iPad lately and have noticed there is significantly more files on one of my saves than the other, like ones ending in SVBAK and SVEMERGE, what do they all mean?
i would guess they are created by the app you are using to do the editing. what is it called?

(they are probably harmless to have around; SVBAK is probably a backup file of some kind, so you may be able to restore an earlier version if you made a mistake and your game won't load)

(it'll default to showing recent files and frequent folders for some reason and you can click This PC to get shortcuts to a bunch of folders + all the storage media your device has, like external drives etc)

Could be anything from installing conflicting mods to a missing file - no way to tell without the log or the whole console window, and you can send the log but not the console window

my mods mainly are just enhancements like reflective water or dynamic lighting depending on day or new sprites etc

unfortunately, Save Anywhere is known to cause problems like this, since the game is not designed to save anywhere. you should probably restore your previous save
hiii uhm i need help trying to config, im a first timer and i dont exactly know how modding works so much so how does this work?
(in your save folder there should be four files: the current one and its SaveGameInfo, and the previous versions of them ending with the suffix _old. rename the _old files to overwrite the others and that should restore it. you might lose a day, depending on how Save Anywhere handled it)

when you start up the game, every mod that has config options will read (or write, using default values, if it's not there already) a file in its folder called "config.json". that section of the mod description is telling you what the possible values are and how you should set them in order to change how the mod behaves
you can edit the config.json file yourself with a text editor, or you can install the mod Generic Mod Config Menu, which allows you to configure many (but not all) mods in-game by clicking a gear icon on the title screen or by scrolling down to the bottom of the Options menu during gameplay and hitting a button

To get UIIS2 to work with Archipelago, you need to disable their setting "Level Up Animations".
This is because the level up animations do not play well with the Archipelago use case, where you can get many levels of several skills instantly all at once

As for the other stuff you tried.
Basically, Archipelago saves connect to a server (your room, on archipelago.gg), and they save that connection information so you don't have to type it in every time.
Non-Archipelago saves don't have this information (nor do they need it, of course).
So you shouldn't attempt to mix up Archipelago and non-Archipelago saves. When moving to a non-Archipelago save, you should remove the Archipelago mod (move it out of the mod folder, or use some mod presets using tools like Vortex), and vice versa. The message you got was just this, the mod was trying to connect to the server but couldn't find the server info. It offered you a way to input server information manually (connect_override) in case it was corrupted or something, but that's irrelevant to you, since that alternate save game was not intended to connect to a server at all
and lastly, googling will not be of much help with StardewArchipelago because the mod is still pretty new (relatively), unlike say SVE which has a whole wiki and bunch of reddit conversations about it. Plus, we're not that popular yet.

I'm not sure what is happening - I have around 150 mods for me and my partner, for some reason randomly throughout our first day when we try playing, if we go through a loading zone it just goes black and freezes like that with no response until eventually the multiplayer game crashes. It's happened at random loading zones whether it's the beach, farm, farm house, town, etc. There is no red text/errors appearing in the console at all - from what I can tell all mods should be compatible and working seeing as I have used them in the past... just a little stuck here

that was the exact error i was having actually, turns out now, i need to redownload every single mod i had since a lot of them dont work anymore

In general, you can figure out whether a mod is (most likely) to work with the current version of Stardew Valley based on its update date. This is not a guarantee things will work or not work, but is accurate for most mods.
- 2016: Do not install (meant for incredibly early versions of Stardew)
- 2017: Do not install (meant for pre-multiplayer Stardew)
- 2018: Unlikely to work. If a Content Patcher mod, it might work, but in general it is not likely the mod will work.
- 2019: Content Patcher mods can be tried from here fairly easily. C# mods should still be mostly avoided.
- 2020: Content Patcher mods should work, but may be buggy. C# mods may work, but due to the 1.5 update there may be conflicts.
- 2021+: Should be usable.
(and in a week this gets only worse)

i would try the backups from previous days from your save backups folder (the one made by the Save Backup mod) until you find one that works. good luck!
if you run out of saves and all of them are corrupted, you may still be able to recover it by editing the file, but that's difficult to do

im assuming this is a bug... but does anyone know why it says lance and krobus are in the sewers if nobody is there? Not even krobus is there!!! For context, it is winter 10 (wednesday), and Lance should be in the Highlands (hes also my husband) but shouldnt krobus be in the sewers all year around??? I also have max hearts with both if that matters

just a quick question, i'm using the expanded farm mod and when i first started this save a few days ago, the hardwood and mini quarry on the farm all respawned as normal, and had forage items
now they've stopped respawning hardwood, rocks/ores/foraging. anyone had this happen? i did delete and redownload the mod, and that didn't seem to kickstart anything

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
Q: For Nexus mod updates, do I just need to manually download to my mods folder and delete the old file? Or should I leave both in there? (Specifically asking for SMAPI and CP)

Hello all! i was wondering if anyone knows if rustic town interiors is compatible with sve? I've been playing for a while with both and oddly I've just noticed that town interiors isn't loading since im trying to change the beams to white in the town. also a couple days ago ive noticed clipping in the carpenters shop and the museum/library. is there anyway to get the interior mod to load?
according to people in the comments, they're not compatible. sve probably made some changes to how they load their own interiors and since the creator of rcti is inactive, it was never updated to accommodate for those changes
