Hello, I was wondering, is it possible to play coop with other players who installed mods as well or is it required to install a mod that allows multiplayer in steam? If so, do they also need to have the same mods installed as the other person?

If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

Double check mod pages for expansions. Some break in multiplayer. And above all else, don't have anyone use mod managers if you can avoid it.

i’m having an issue with my mods where, when i load up the game, it seems like everything is moved to the left on my farm lol? trying to figure out what’s causing it exactly. it could be another mod or my configurations. i have expanded and all the other necessary mods for it. i’ve also added blackberry fields farm+ daisyniko’s tilesheets, dynamic reflections, and a couple others. i’ll send a screenshot to show exactly what it looks like

The farm itself is not loading as I can see in your log (i.e. Grandpa's Farm is not loading and I can only see that via trace since your errors aren't loading for some reason)
But SVE is loading.
Put another way: have you walked off the farm at all?

To fix, you have one of two options, depending on how comfortable you are with text editing the mod manifest IDs
If you're not at all, you're gonna need to find a different translation or use the one on SVE's page (which'll be in English)
im gonna be purely straight forward, im not sure at all how to do this...
If you are, you can pop into your Grandpa's Farm folder, go into either of the two folders, open the manifest in a text editor, and change the manifest ID of one of them to something different
i.e. my Content patcher version has the manifest ID "UniqueID": "flashshifter.GrandpasFarm",, so you'd be changing it to something like "UniqueID": "flashshifter.GrandpasFarmEdit",
Then the manifests will be different and thus won't conflict, and will load.
so i open my content patcher and find "UniqueID": "flashshifter.GrandpasFarm", and change it to "UniqueID": "flashshifter.GrandpasFarmEdit",?

(For the record - I don't want to usually cast aspersions on code because mod authors can legitimately screw up without issue. The problem I see here is unless this was uploaded yesterday (in which case, temporary bug that can be fixed quick), the mod's been up for a while and will very clearly not work, something that would have been seen through testing the mod at all. We're always willing to help here, in case the mod author needs help with coding things, but... please, please, test your mods, people!)

My stardew mods arent loading! i have just installed all of them and have an updated version of smapi. i have about 5 mods i want to install but when i load it up it says only 3 have loaded. i verified the files already in the properties tab and everything is up to date so i am unsure how to fix this!

Hey, what does this mean, and why won't it work together? - CP Boarding House 4.0.16 because its dependencies have a circular reference: Adventurer's Guild Expanded => Immersive Farm 2 Update => Earthy Recolour => CP Boarding House => Immersive Farm 2 Update)
Aside from saying you shouldn't use Immersive Farm 2 update, it's saying that the mods depend on each other and that's not viable
Essentially, it's saying A depends on B, which depends on C, which depends on A. So it's telling A to load after B, which loads after C, which loads after A... but because A loads after B and B loads after C, A cannot load after C

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

I was magic warping to a that area* but there might've been an npc scheduled to stand at that location* not sure if that's what it was* the warp on the map looks fine I looked over everything I also changed the order of the dependencies for my mod* something about the alpha mod mumps not being able to apply a patch to minecartpatcher
nah, you'd warp into the NPC if that's what it was
the map itself is borked
(At least, that's the usual case with input string is not in the correct format on warp, if it's not a bad warp.)
Everything is fine on the map and it warps normally it seemed to have happened randomly when mumps attempts to patch minecartpatcher don't know why but looks unrelated to cape Stardew* looked over the whole map
Do east scarp and Stardew expanded work okay together? Just from seeing videos it seems like some of the entrances to places might overlap
they work fine. East Scarp's entrance is over the bridge with SVE installed
As for yours, dreamy, I still say it's the map. I don't think it's related to MUMPS or minecartpatcher
A lot of non-SVE expansion mods tend to go out of their way to support SVE
But someone else can take a look at your repeating error, if you believe otherwise.

I just tested the warp and the map again and it didn't freeze up this time. The map was carefully looked over a few times. After a few test scenario's still don't know what cause the issue. Updated mod with a potential fix adding minecartpatcher as 1st dependency not sure if that makes a difference,
what's the rule with the using the music tracks on the modding page. Some of them have spaces and some of them have _. It could be this music track Near The Planet Core.

So, following up on the no Monster Slayer goal credit, my group finally ran the save after I met the requirement AGAIN and it says I've met it, but Perfection Tracker says no. Is Perfection somehow only counting host progress?
I'm not going to lie, it's been two weeks so I need you to clarify if you're using the save reader, stardew progress or the perfection tracker in Mr. Qi
Because achievements are tracked per character, but the host is the main save.
Perfection tracker in Mr Qi says no for any of us that check it on our multiplayer game, and the reader (Stardew Checkup link) says I have it
I'm not the host, so the save is someone else's, which is why we couldn't get it checked sooner
Also to pre-emptively clarify, as I've seen a bunch of reddit threads mentioning this being an issue for when Magma Sprites are the last one completed: My last one completed was Pepper Rex.

You don't have to update your mods every day - there are some that will work just fine until you have a bigger chunk of time.
I would advise just making sure that SMAPI and any of your frameworks are updated.

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

so um I am having a problem here. I tried on 2 different computers and no luck. If your goal is to check and see what all mods you're missing, and continue that save file, don't sleep or pass out until you confirm you have all the missing mods back, or all the missing mods you want to use.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
(that one isn't about the saves problem, but it is actively harmful to have installed)

It's actually just normal for it to take awhile to load. Nothing indicates the actual game crashed.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

Hello. With ChallengingCommunityCenterBundles, is it possible to add these early in a save game or is it a New save only type of thing?
The FAQ on the mod pages says you technically can but it might cause issues.
i would avoid adding or removing anything that edits the CC bundles mid-save
the bundles are fragile and they are baked into your save file, so changing them is a good way to brick your save
Continuing that thought, I'd argue against using bundle mods in general, just because they're finicky. If you are going to do it, always read the mod documentation on the page, and don't use more than one.

I have stardew through both steam and gog. I use the gog version for my main instance w/ stardrop (which actually works with mp as long as I have galaxy running), and I use the steam version for 1.6 alpha and standard 1.5 development / testing

Using Vortex Mod Manager with Stardew Valley has the risk of your mods not getting installed properly, and other issues. Consider doing manual mod installation or using Stardrop, a mod manager that was purpose built for SDV, instead!

first off, you two need to delete the "random NPCs" folder inside your Market Day mod. Second, we need both of your logs after you've done so (the first may fix the problem entirely, but the second is necessary regardless to help.)
(Having one log is fine with single-player, but we need the host and the affected farmhand at a minimum for accurate troubleshooting in almost all multiplayer instances.)

Alright, so there's a couple things to note outside of what you just did - the logs indicate that you should be good to go, since you were walking into town while a random NPC from Market Day was there, and NPCs must match between host and client, which thanks to Random NPCs from Market Day, that would not happen and thus would cause a crash as you walk into town.
However
There's still some mod mismatch that will likely cause issues. I can't verify if Experience Bars is good to just have client side, but SAAT, Farmhouse fixes and Skull Cavern Elevator should probably be on both and you definitely need to have matching JA content packs - right now someone has bonsters and the other doesn't, so you're going to have some mad json shuffle in your file. There's also several mismatching versions of mods, which will also cause issues.

You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

A Json Shuffle is when your Json Assets items rearrange their numerical IDs or different players have different numerical IDs assigned to the same object. See here for details: https://stardewmodding.wiki.gg/wiki/Json_Shuffle.
Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

when you run SMAPI, you should see a terminal/console open alongside the game that shows a lot of text about what it's doing (loading mods).

So whenever I update mods, regardless of save, I cannot play that save anymore.
I get the "ominous 3 gong sounds" when loading in, and then it disappears.

searching in this discord, a 4 year old message says that `OldOrchardEaster` is supposed to be an FTM file in Walk to the desert. Things have probably changed in 4 years.
the specific mod I'm using is `Walk to the Desert Redux 1.3.1-alpha`
It tries to check this when i go to bed and the checks take a pretty long time so its kinda annoying
also can't find any info on the "weapon:Dark Sword" and the formatting of the string messes up discord search because on: is a discord search token lol
I kind of Balls to the Walled it with modding my Stardew. I installed SVE, Ridgeside Village, and East Scarp all at once (Yes with all prerequisetes) and for some reason I can typically only get a full day then a half a day before the game crashes.
In the logs (to me at least) It looks like the game is still loading, but I promise I have given it over 12 hours of not responding before declaring that it is crashing.

I, and sooo many others, use Visible Fish without any issues, so I doubt that the mod itself is the issue. Was this in the same log as the other error you reported? Because errors can cause cascading effects.
I've had that issue with visible fish before but only rarely. I suspect it's a problem with bad fish data from another mod
This is the correct issue. If there's bad fish data, then visible fish will not be able to display the fish.

So I guess this is potentially mod support related? I'm not getting any errors in smapi when I'm in festivals but my children just don't show up to them at all now. I have immersive family and unique children but their mod descriptions don't mention causing them not to go to festivals. Has anyone else had this issue? I have SVE and I know that changes the festivals too but I didn't see anything that said children wouldn't show up because of it?

I've been away from it for awhile and wanting to go for a playthrough with Ridgeside Village but I can't figure out why the mod gets skipped in the console. This error was in the loading zone for Sophia's Blue Moon Vineyard for SVE and didn't happen anywhere else. It's in the same log. I removed JojaOnline, it's not worth the hassle and no other mods are throwing up errors (except for some instances where a mod can't find an item so ignores that item). I'll keep an eye on the log. There are a couple of known minor weird things (not quite bugs) with SVE and Visible Fish, but none that cause errors like that.
If you want to provide your log, someone can do a bit of digging, though, too!
I didn't have the foresight to save the log since I didn't want to bother someone for something that didn't crash the game
I just loaded SMAPI and overrode the last log.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

it failed to load no matter what I did forcing me to go back to an archived save for the 11th
and then I played up to that exact date again, doing slightly different things
and its the same again not loading the day or the save

Can you go into the config.json and try changing the "ToggleLookup" field to "Space" - this will set the keybinding to the Spacebar. Then, with your mouse/controller, etc., hover over the item you want to look up and then press the spacebar.

This would be going directly into the Mods Folder itself and opening the config.json in a text editing program.

So there are a couple of things that stand out. Random NPCs, which is installed with Market Day, is known to cause issues. You can try disabling it and see if that helps.
Raised Garden Beds loaded an event for the Farm, and that's the last "event" SMAPI recorded. Perhaps try disabling that mod?

I'm stumped, Fiona. At this point, if it were me, I would start from the end of my log and work my way backward, disabling each mod one by one to see which one could be causing the issue.
The other option would be to install Profiler, which might help narrow down the lag.

Ok. So what you want to do now is open the installer folder and navigate to the file named "install on macOS.command."
You'll need to right-click on that and select "Open"
You should get a MacOS security pop-up, but just say "open anyway"

In order to extract the files from the .rar file, you'll need an unarchiver program. Unfortunately, Mac doesn't have built-in ability to open those files.
I use RAR Unarchiver - it's free, and you should be able to get it from the MacOS App Store

Any clue why my Rustic Country Interior mod seem to be bugging? Some of the walls and furnitures from the mod are loaded and some kept the vanilla ones... i believe vpr affects the interiors as well so those two are possibly clashing? i'm not sure how to disable the vpr interior settings though
This is the config for VPR, I just changed the Town Interior to false and it seemed to kind of work but some of the tilesheets are still not loading like the floor at Sam's room and frame for the kitchen
so Im still debugging my save

hello! i have several mods for extra dialogue- mal's sebastian extension, possessive sebastian and misscoriel's response core. sometimes the game does something and instead of using the dialogues from possessive sebastian it uses the standard ones. does anyone know what I could do about it?

What it could be doing is both try to say something so they cancel one another out, so it defaults to vanilla

i've noticed it glitches during rainy days and the luau event
i've checked the content.json- he has no extra lines pre-marriage for rainy days, but he does have lines for all events. maybe the luau was a glitch? it feels like the program stops before reaching and implementing the predating lines for events
