Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

ok so when lauched and attempting to load a save it uses 20% cpu and 772 MB of ram
but it wont load the save file with the mods

Hello :)! I’m having a small issue with SMAPI? I’m playing SDV on MacIOS (Apple,,?) and followed the instructions to download SMAPI. I found the mods folder using the map it gives you with 3 pre-existing files (Console Command, SaveBackup, and ErrorHandler). I installed two mods (Market Town and SDV Expanded). But, when I load up SDV, the SMAPI log says there’s 0 mods or reads the 3 preexisting mods/files?

Sorry quick question. Does it make a difference if I leave the mod dependencies hanging out in the mods folder or is it okay if I file them in with their respective mods? Like, if market town needs B-File, can I put B-File in the Market Town mod folder?
do not put one mod inside the folder of another
you can have things grouped together in subfolders, like Market Town and B-File go inside Folder B, which is inside the Mods folder

Do you want to play the vanilla game after having installed SMAPI? Keep in mind that you cannot play vanilla on a previously modded save. Please use separate saves for playing vanilla vs modded Stardew! That said, there are a few ways this can be achieved:

If playing the game through Steam or GOG on a Windows device, clear your launch options, then select play from your game client. See the !launchoptions command for more info.

Go into your game folder and launch StardewValley.exe. See the !findmodsfolder command for more info.

Change the name of your Mods folder to anything other than Mods. Then launch the game as you normally would, this will make SMAPI launch but without any mods being loaded by it.

MinPointsToCall determines how many friendship points are required to show an NPC in the call app (each heart represents 250 points). Default is 1000 points or four hearts.
Someone had a similar issue, but it's by design until you befriend them or set parameters in the config. Can we see your log to make sure everything is working correctly?

hello, i just got a pc today and i am having trouble downloading SMAPI , Can someone help me

@dusk lagoon Sorry about the delay, but a quick run through indicates it loaded in, but skipped over loading the Shop Tile Framework assets.
Also a lot of the missing files in general are floating around-I noticed you have your storage set to D:/ instead of C:/ did you recently move your mod files and reinstall smapi to load the new file directory?
Recently, no. Almost a year ago when I added a second drive to my laptop.
(I only ask because so many folders are missing files, alongside some duplicates.)

Dialogue, (I assume that's from Canon-Friendly Dialogue Expansion, all their folders are empty) wickedy's berry's for huckleberry season, you have duplicates caused by Wildflour's Faerie Garden - Magical Farming and Forage
yes, the dialogue folders are empty- I haven't put them in yet. that's on purpose lol. I meant to delete the huckleberry one - and I'm not sure how to go about fxing the duplicates for wildflour's mods
You just delete the Wildflour's Faerie Garden mod. (Also, putting in what into the dialogue folders? Are you CP'ing your own dialogue?)
I'd prefer not to delete the faerie garde mod- I believe it adds more than just the duplicated items and I don't wanna lose those non duplicates
as far at the dialogue goes- I'm downloading some dialogue expansion mods for each npc

Anyways, the issue is it loads in the shop but it's not loading in the textures, it's just layering it with the Joseph's Seed Shop textures. The store is functionally fine, but I have two suggestions:
Delete and reinstall the Bridal mod, or rename the JSS folder with a period at the front to disable it and see if that forces the texture to load. It doesn't seem to be missing an assets fold according to the trace log.

I will say I noticed a missing dependency.
Did I miss one? oops. What was it?
I noticed it wasn't loading in Json assets for the boutique but was loading it in so I checked the page itself and compared notes to your Smapi
(Also thanks for being the PPJA champ because I don't use it and don't know what the folder layout even looks like.
I just ask people to delete duplicates so I can read the log.)

what kind of texture glitches are you seeing? often, the issue is that the graphics settings for your computer are different between SMAPI and Stardew

So your log indicates you're running on an Intel graphics card; if your computer has a dedicated graphics card (like NVIDIA), then I would first check if you could use that card instead

Using the mods you likely used to edit the vanilla files in the content folder broke the item textures

If you're adding it as a Non-Steam Game, you don't launch Stardew Valley, you launch it as the non-steam game you added to your library (by default StardewModdingAPI)

I actually verified the files about 30 mins ago so this just happened right now again.
I understand that some mods are out of date, I'm trying to keep up with updates.
I think that was step 0. Next step is.. update your mods (?)
darn, alright. hmm, my next suspects would be either TMXL or a CP mod, so disable both of those mods and see if that fixes the issue. there will be a lot of errors because Content Patcher is an important mod, but it wont be permanent if you close out the game before saving.
the issue only shows up after it saves and moves onto the next day. It fixes if I close the game and reload, then the day is fine. But then it happens again.
I'm sorry to bring up such a complex problem. I just don't know where else to go. I tried looking up similar issues on google, but didn't find this issue with anyone else. Do you think I have too many mods? Or maybe a conflict? My game has been stable for the past three months until 3 days ago.

I tried to use Alternative Textures. Couldn't get it to work then took it back out.
No. New saves are working fine. I skipped weeks, months. I slept a lot, nothing like this happens. I also reloaded an older save before the wedding dasy and the void returns.

See I thought it was an issue with CGAs playing seesaw with tilesheet updates.
But Unless a Toned Down Stardew Valley is more buggy than I think, Joja seeds is the likely culprit.
Although where you get Toned Down is a mystery to me at present

other than that the only real issue I see is you have Get Glam, which is broken.
I have the unofficial update. I know it's bad but I like it.
I would seriously suggest converting whatever it is that you "like" off of Get Glam at your earliest convenience. For all you know, along with the mass of survivalistic errors in your log, it could be the culprit

I know what causes the errors with Survivalistic. It happens when the thirst and/or hunger reach zero. The creator is aware of it and working on it.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

I can't speak for Windows controller stuff, but on Mac, I had to disable the Steam input. Have you tried that? (To me, the above config looks off)

hiyooo- quick question :b so i have fashion sense downloaded now, and theres a mod (Kyuya's Hats Pack) that I'm trying to get downloaded as well. Are these files downloaded the same way as normal mods, through mod manager or do i have to manual download and place in mod folder under content?

Using Vortex Mod Manager with Stardew Valley has the risk of your mods not getting installed properly, and other issues. Consider doing manual mod installation or using Stardrop, a mod manager that was purpose built for SDV, instead!
The FS packs go in the Mods as like content packs for FS. They stay in their own folders like [FS] Hats etc.

The folder depth is just based on frameworks.
Always read the description of the mods / content packs you are trying to install. They usually have an Installation section where it says whether you need to install it as a normal mod (unpack and place in Stardew Valley/Mods folder), or whether it requires a manual installation (replacing some files in your already existing mods etc.).
If you are not sure, you can have a look at the archive itself. Very easily said, if the archive contains a manifest.json (in either the top-level of the archive, or in subfolders in the archive), it should be installed as a normal mod (see above) and can be therefore installed through Stardrop Mod Manager (Stardrop looks specifically for these manifest.json files to identify mods). Therefore, you can always try to install the mod with Stardrop File -> Add Mod. If the installation with Stardrop fails, the archive is not a valid mod and has to be installed manually (for that, see instructions in the mod page description on Nexus or wherever you downloaded the mod from).
Be aware that the mod may have manifest.json, but also some other folders with files inside that need to be installed manually (like additional content packs for other mods etc.). See the intructions for how to install them, too. Stardrop would only copy them over to the mod folder when installed, which is not what you need for the content packs to apply.
Since Stardrop identifies mods by their manifest.json files, you can place the mod in any form of folder hierarchy inside your mods folder or Stardrop installed mods folder. There is no limit to the level of nesting folders that you could reasonably hit. Stardrop will find the mods just fine.
With the upcoming update to Stardrop, you can even turn on an option for Stardrop to group mods based on this folder hierarchy. The list of mods will be no longer one large list, but a list of subgroups, one for each mod, with visible folder hierarchy.

I'm trying to use Yri's Retro Recolor alongside Starblue Valley. The folder Yri's is in is currently at the bottom of the mod folder, but I'm still getting Starblue's terrain, and I want everything but that.
Especially the interiors and interface.
Yri's Retro Recolor doesn't change the interiors and interface, iirc. It's just outdoors that gets recolored.
I meant that I want Starblue interiors and interface. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
I'm a bit confused, Lavender, because Starblue doesn't recolor interiors or the interface either.
idk if putting a folder above another folder is all you have to do to override it, i think u have to add something in the content to do that

Hey there! I just came back from a 1-year break from playing the game, modded it, and am having a bunch of issues that won't allow my game to run properly... I am really unsure where to start. The issue seems to be specifically with Ridgside Village Mod (and some of the required mods for it), SpaceCore, and Content Patcher.

From what the log is showing, it looks like there are older RSV files still in your mods folder.
As for SpaceCore and Content Patcher - there is a specific problem with GMCM. I would try deleting GMCM and reinstalling it.

I tried again with a different recolor mod in place of Starblue (Wittily) and had the same problem of Yri's terrain not showing up.
So I know it's not just a problem with Starblue.
Have you tried changing the configuration options?
Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to configure off Starblue's grass, dirt, and rocks.

There's no errors saying that Content Patcher etc failed to load, but there are errors saying, plainly, that mods "require mods that aren't installed" and then listing mods, including Content Patcher, Custom Kissing Mod, Shop Tile Framework, and Extra Map Layers

Don't worry, you just kinda inserted it in the wrong place.
There's a lot of numbers in those names, and Nexus zip files come with numbers in them

...unzipped and not empty because if something has gone horribly wrong with the unzipping process and emptied your folders i dont know if android SMAPI will point out empty folders

Hello, i have problems regarding fashion sense mod(using smapi android), when using v5.8.1/v5.6.1 it says not compatible but when i use the outdated version ones v4.6.1/v.5.5.2 i get a different kind of error. When using the latter versions i can get the hand mirror from Pierre's Shop but it won't work, it just says that i do not have Fashion Sense packs installed which i did have. So i was trying to figure out what specific version of fashion sense i need to install in order for it to work in my game

i know that alternative textures allows you to do manual variation for certain textures, if i were use the manual variation format does this mean i have to manually code all of them? or can i just use manual variation on certain skin tones? bc i dont need all of my skins to have keywords

You should still be able to, but android is just like this for everyone. Even the mod compatibility list is out of date for mobile

Looks like I need help again understanding how reshade works lol. I use Natural REshade, and I get a notification that says reshade needs an update, but when I updated it, seems it hasn't changed, unless there's a few settings I didn't do correctly. This also confuses me a bit lol
