I looked up Enhanced Relationships, and there's a setting where you get punished for missing birthdays for NPCs.

So for generic mod menu, on the steam deck, does anyone know how I can see all the options in the drop downs for various mods? I just can’t see all the options and after a lot of cursing I could not figure it out!

hmmmm. well IDK how it works with touchscreen, but with mouse, you have to hold down left click to get the selection menu, and it scrolls if you move your mouse to the top or bottom of that
on my computer it stays open if i click it and i can scroll it with the mouse wheel

SMAPI needs read/write access. If it doesn't have that, it won't work, and you won't be able to mod.
so the download folder with smapi in it has access to both as well as the stardew valley folder and the mods folder

I'm not a windows user, so the extent of my knowledge is that you should temporarily disable your antivirus. Redownload SMAPI. Windows should auto-extract it in your downloads folder. Don't move it. Run the installer.

According to microsoft.com, Windows 10 has a file extractor built in - so you should be able to just right click on the file and "extract all"

You are missing some of the dependencies
If you go to the Stardew Valley Expanded mod page and click on the "Requirements" section, it will have links to all the dependencies. You need all of them

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

There are two specifically spelled out in that line I posted above
Content Patcher loaded in just fine, so you don't need to worry about that.
Think they saw the Content/Portrait error and thought it was Content Patcher.
Tbh, Dsmitty, you have what appears to remnants of xnb mods in your folder - for the future, I would definitely recommend wiping your Mods folder clean and starting fresh.

Hello! Mac user here. I'm trying to download SMAPI for the first time to get mods and I see my mac prevents it getting installed because its an unverified developer. So I go to privacy and security in settings, and input my password to bypass it. SMAPI begins to download but fails as my mac tells me yet again, that its unverified and thus wont install. Any advice on how to fix this issue?
Right click on the installOnMacOS unix file, and select run

It should prompt you to enter your computer password. Input password then press enter.

Hokay. Speed bump. I got everything done for steam deck except changing the skip terminal under StardewValley to true or false, whatever one is the right one, but there’s no skip terminal line in multiple text editors. It looks like it’s macOS instructions but I’m running Linux? I did everything Linux the entire time. I’m so close to done 🥲

Just to clarify, the screenshot i already shared appears alongside the unverified notifcation which has the option to either cancel trying to do it, or throw in trash. Once I click cancel, the terminal changes to something different
Ok. You're still in the Terminal, so input: sudo /Users/bobothehobo/Downloads/SMAPI\ 3.18.6\ installer/install\ on\ macOS.command
I've never seen this before. And all I know about skip terminal is in the rare case that SMAPI doesn't recognize the controller. I don't recommend disabling the SMAPI console, though.

I’m wondering if reinstalling might help? SMAPI that is, I don’t want to reinstall Stardew and have to do my hundreds of mods gradually again 😭 might have to do it that way though
I think reinstalling SMAPI is a good idea. Your mods folder should remain intact.

there was an option to put a password (had Password: with a key emote) but I couldnt type or press anything to type so I clicked off, to put the input again and see if that did anything and now im back to the 2nd screenshot I sent execpt now i cant put the input now
Close the Terminal window.
Go to System Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Full Disk Access

You should, in theory, be able to right click on the "installonmacOS.command" file, choose open, and then "open anyway"

hey there, im fairly new to stardew modding but I'm looking to create a 2nd mod folder so I can play SDVE on a new save file. Which mod adds the Sweet Joja Berry? Some other mod has a rule (or rules) for it, and JSON Assets is saying, "nope, sorry, not one of mine."
That’s the thing, I’ve been scouring for it, checking for images and names in files and I haven’t been able to locate it yet. I’ll have to expand the search I think, was just hopeful I guess that someone knew
It's from Joja Seeds.
I mean, you'd get the Sweet Joja Berry from Joja Seeds. The mod you installed that calls for it should be Vincent's Cola Shop.
(Some of CopperSun's mods are connected to one another. Like Vincent's Cola Shop would also add a recipe to Joja Blackmarket.)

You're missing Spacecore and Json Assets-Spacecore is practically required for every mod.

Both are required. If you do have them, check to see if you actually extracted them.
You might have just put zipped files in your mod manager instead of extracting them. Look and see if the folder is labeled compressed or zipped.
If it is, extract the mods and remove the zipped folders.
It will have the version inside when unzipped.

Farmlands are directly linked to cabins like a save file. It kicks them out if they have no home.

Yeah, it shouldn't look like that. I can think of two things why it doesn't:
- The Earthy Recolour installation is faulty. Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, then
- Another mod is drawing over it, in which case please provide your log.

Henlo, so I have played alot of modded... and over time I have added more and more and more. Lets just say I have ALOT of mods lol. Well I finally done broke my game and I added roughly 200 mods to the mix of NPC additions and a few more exploring areas. The issue now is when I smack artifact spots, they do not work. I get an error. And Its taken 2 days because the game itself takes about an hour to boot up. I have tried verifying steam files, and I started to slowly uncheck all the recent mods I just added. But maybe I can get additional help so this goes faster.

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. Nope. Just making sure because you have two content patchers.
Replace the content patcher you currently have because I think you took folders out of it after extracting the zip. Then delete the zip entirely, or move it elsewhere.
(One of the files is missing from that folder since it wants to replace only two, and there's three in CP)
im in co op and playing sdv with es and rsv and everytime the person im in co op with goes to the mines it crashes, i dont have any mines mods so is there a problem with the mods themselves loading or is his game just buggy?

For context, I run compatibility branch and I know SMAPI doesn't work with it. I'm testing older versions to see if it works and even though 3.12.2 got installed, the only mods (CJB Item Spawner and Cheat Menu) doesn't seem to be working. I'm looking for any route arounds that may be possible.
I downloaded older versions of both mods as well from mod drop. 3.9.5 for both.
He should reinstall smapi and make sure his mods are following the right path as well as verify his game on Steam.

All file folders should say they are file folders. Do NOT remove anything from the folder.

Zip folders are labeled as (compressed) not file folders. The game cannot read zips. It cannot read unzipped loose files without folders.
Extract the folder, replace it, do not take anything out. It needs everything in it to run. This applies to all mod folders.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

That is the easiest and simplest way to figure out where to put your other mods.

I can definitively state a few things:
- It's not your computer, there has never been a report on this sort of thing happening to one person
- you have the rest of your mods loading
- SMAPI shows those two aren't
Realistically speaking, this indicates you're either:
- Putting the mods in the wrong folder
- Not unzipping them
- You screwed with the files so they're no longer recognized
And I know you have other mods loading, so I know either you or someone you know has set up your mods before
i unzipped them on my desktop. I m going through my mods to see if i DID put the folder in another one( we ALL done it many many times). i didn mess with files idunno how O.o
been using mods for along time(for sims n stardew) just never used the grandpa farm before
The most confusing thing about the way your filepath reads is that it looks instead of putting it in the Mod Folder, you put stardew valley expanded into the stardew valley folder instead, and then put the farms inside the stardew valley expanded folder.
Okay, bear with me here. Can you provide screenshots of:
- The contents of your mods folder.
- The contents of your Ridgeside Village folder within the mods folder.
- The contents of your Stardew Valley Expanded folder within the mods folder.
The thing is, Grandpa's Farm and SVE work the exact same way as all other SDV mods

I think that's what the issue is. I think you put SVE directly into the Stardew Valley folder, then you put the farms inside THAT folder instead of in your Mods.

You right click them. They are compressed (also known as zipped files)
Whenever you download a mod, you right click the folder and scroll to the extract all option.
If you right click it, this is what the extract window looks like.
Click Browse when you extract something and make sure this is where you send the folders.
Notice how all of mine are file folders without the zip?

That's how yours should look. The game can't read files that are zipped, so make sure to extract them. Once the file is in there, you're usually left with the copy of the zipped folder in your downloads.
You can delete those zipped copies in your downloads after you confirm you installed the mods properly, alright?

So I'm using the mobile phone mod and then when I also download the mobile calendar app, it makes the app icons for the phone and calendar the calendar icon and I'm not sure how to fix this. I haven't edited the mods in any way and there is nothing that changes paths in the config.

So the mobile phone essentially gives you a mobile phone you bring up with apps -- there's an icon for the phone, calendar, etc. The mod is pulling the calendar icon and using it for the calendar and the phone when a phone icon should display for the phone

Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2 is seriously borked. You should remove it
It "reordered" the original tilesheets, which means that it breaks everything.
I would advise reporting this to the mod author - and include the link to your log.
so that may fix it even if when it crashes it states that smapi isnt responding?
The reason why your game is crashing is that the game can't render the Farmhouse correctly because the mod is breaking things.
So, SMAPI crashes the game to prevent fatal errors.

Yes, I used the Windows key + R to search for the Stardew Valley/ErrorLods file. But it only allows me to open the file with the notes blog, or launch directly to system32

You have two different cellar mods - Ace Expanded Cellars and Lune Cellars.
Also - are you sure you've upgraded your house to unlock the cellar?

Yes, just when you unlock the cellar, install the mod. I'll try deleting the Ace Cellar, I hadn't seen it, and I thought it was one of the multiple tools used to configure the mods

No. Multiple Spouses is outdated and will eventually break your game

By crashed, do you mean "it went not responding still" or "it went to desktop"

Couple of things to check - 1) you're not running smapi in "select" mode; 2) you're running smapi & SDV on the dedicated graphics card & set to high priority in the processor settings
SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance. It is highly configurable and you can choose which options to enable.

Thank you very much, I will keep that in mind when I have a problem. When I was able to buy Stardew Valley I got a little excited... Excited about the mods, I downloaded several things without knowing what they were for, and little by little I learned empirically how certain things worked, such as translations or tool mods.
So tbh clinical you were interrupting loading somehow
spritemaster just makes that system faster
Think of it as - your computer can only handle so many tasks at one time. The more mods you add, the more tasks it has to do and remember...so it slows down.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
(You don't need PyTk lite.)
But that's not related to your issue, which...I'm going to be honest, it just looks like it's not triggering a schedule update for anyone.
The only thing I can think of is other mods overriding this one in terms of schedule changes. A missing file would have shown up.
