Yep reenabling SKE's spooky doors fixed it.
I fiiiiixed it by 'resetting' the tiles specifically where the door from SKE was in Pierre's house.

Heyy i´ve got a problem with my Coop farm. Me and my friend got diffrent times for example I got 16:00 and she got 13:00 depends on when she joined the server and she can´t see me but i see her, We can´t do things together cause i´m basically in the future

Ok, yeah... *go through both logs and make sure your mods match. there are more mismatches i noticed *
+ for ARV - it's recommended to use the beta version (avail on ES Discord); it fixes some issues caused by old dependency mods like TMXL and CM (instead the beta uses CP for the old TMX spouseroom stuff and SAAT instead of CM) NVM, just saw ES is not in your mods, just in skipped mods. But if you wanna play w/ ES & ARV... then do that 😄
Hi! I'm suddenly experiencing an OutOfMemoryException error with my current save. I play 1.5.6 so the only suggestion the troubleshooting page is giving me is that I have too many mods for my computer to handle. This is certainly possible and I tried removing the newest additions, but the error persists. I was wondering if someone could take a look at my log and see if something else is off, or if my computer has just given up on my shenanigans. And perhaps suggest which mods might be the worst memory hogs if that is indeed the issue.
Specs: I play on Windows PC, version 1.5.6 of SDV. The game launches fine, but when trying to load the save it stays on the black loading screen for a long while and then either crashes to the main menu or crashes to desktop. Computer has 16 GB of RAM. I have verified the game files and checked that the game is running with my dedicated graphics card, not the integrated one. Unfortunately that's as far as my understanding of tech stuff goes .

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance. It is highly configurable and you can choose which options to enable.
also, i think playing for multiple in-game days in a row can make the OOM thing happen/worse.. but not sure if your log shows that (i'm not a tech person either :/)
- i personally play on a laptop pc w/ 16 gb of ram like you.. and i make sure to close out of any other apps (like Chrome esp) so my computer can just focus on not falling apart lol
if your oom is actually due to running out of memory sm may make it worse
possibly but I'm not very familiar with oom exceptions besides actually running out of memory

Yeah, Spritemaster smoothed out the edges of the UI but the error just happened quicker 😄 What is interesting is that before this error started happening, my load times have been very short and the game hasn't been freezing up or showing any other signs of falling apart.
maybe try fast loads? it's newer and doesn't do half of what SM does but some say it works well for them. (no idea if it'll cost you more ram and thus not help your situation tho)

I've tried closing everything else I had running, no luck so far. I've also tried the Memory Diagnostic tool that's built into Windows and it claimed that the RAM is fine, but maybe I should check out another tool as well to be safe. I'll also check out the other suggested mods tomorrow, it's bedtime in my neck of the woods 😄 Thank you all for the tips and suggestions!

how do you open config menu for mods
using GMCM mod (in-game) or open the config.json file with text editor (like notepad++ or sublime)

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

It seems like you have missing mods
You're missing frameworks that are required for several mods.
ive installed the framework mod tho and its in the folder its just not registering it

No dependencies, once you hit the bound key you just type the item in. I'd recommend disabling it afterwards.
(Nexus has a case sensitive search engine, and-yeah, I called it items, not item..)

Hey all, I've just recently started a new game with my wife, adding a bunch of new mods (for us). We play local co-op, and we started having crashes when we went to bed - it wouldn't get to the save point. I deleted some mods, playing wack-a-mole trying to find out what it might be. I finally noticed my SMAPI didn't have Error Handler, so I re-downloaded and it looks like it does now, so I think it MAY be okay now, but the same error did come up again, it just somehow powered through. The error is in the "game" itself? The first part is a new one I hadn't seen - "Failed parsing schedule for NPC Curator:" but the rest is what I have seen when it would crash...it would say "schedule pathing tried to find a warp point that doesn't exist." Anyone seen that before and know what causes it? Thanks for any insight.

Their schedule is just broken, I found that out when making Rescheduler, but all it should mean is that they don't go to bed at night

The tl;dr is the macro scheduler doesn't index interior doors except in fishshop or seedshop
Curator is an NPC in the aquarium and is responsible for the error in your log

it doesnt matter where it is, just make sure theres only one of each. im not really sure about the better alcohol, it could mean you need to reinstall it or it could mean there are special installation instructions. i would check the mod page

You have PPJA Mega Pack, which already contains all those other different PPJA mods you also have, including Fresh Meat. So either you delete the PPJA Mega Pack or you delete all those various PPJA mods.

As for Better Alcohol, it's optional files you can actually ignore if you'd like. For more info, you can read the readme in Better Alcohol-16475-1-1-0-1683385904\BetterAlcohol\CornVodka_optional in your mods folder.

The map glitch is probably because you have Stardew Enhanced, which is not compatible with Stardew Valley Expanded because they edit the same map.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
If you find a mod bug on Android, first make sure that:
a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

so, looking quickly at the file contents preview, this mod is just a couple of .png files, so it's not finished (it's not an XNB, so you can't drop it in your content folder, and it's not a Content Patcher content pack, so you can't load it through SMAPI).
to use it, you'll have to make it into a usable mod, or get someone to do it for you. or, maybe the person in the mod's posts who asked if they could put up a CP version already did it

You need Content Patcher. (It wasn't listed in requirements, I believe, but it’s a framework many mods require.)

Did a quick look and it says you can disable them. (You might need to download General Mod Config Menu to make it easier, never used Looking for Love before.)
If the game stops flagging them as single/marriage candidates, they'll go back to normal, with as many hearts as you left them off with.

I'd advise not removing anything from content period and just setting true to false for any characters you aren't romancing in the relevant config if you aren't going to use Generic Mod Config Menu. Config.json is the one you are allowed to edit.
If you delete things from content it might cause things to stop loading entirely.
(Also it's Generic, not general. I misspoke earlier on the name. Generic Mod Config Menu allows you to set config options for mods in the game itself without modifying any actual files.)

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have the Pet Interaction mod so my cat can follow me around. When I go outside to my farm though, I don't see my cat at all but when I enter my house or leave my farm, its following me. I'm using the grandpa's farm from SVE
i would read the mod desc for further instructions, but keep in mind Pet Interaction was made for 1.4 and prob will have issues

In general, you can figure out whether a mod is (most likely) to work with the current version of Stardew Valley based on its update date. This is not a guarantee things will work or not work, but is accurate for most mods.
- 2016: Do not install (meant for incredibly early versions of Stardew)
- 2017: Do not install (meant for pre-multiplayer Stardew)
- 2018: Unlikely to work. If a Content Patcher mod, it might work, but in general it is not likely the mod will work.
- 2019: Content Patcher mods can be tried from here fairly easily. C# mods should still be mostly avoided.
- 2020: Content Patcher mods should work, but may be buggy. C# mods may work, but due to the 1.5 update there may be conflicts.
- 2021+: Should be usable.
For future reference if you look at mods, the latest update is one of the first things to look at, followed by requirements and compatibility if applicable
Will save you a lot of headaches in the future. /lh, gen

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

i don't assume it's a huge deal, but one of my horses from adopt and skin seems to have broken - it shows up as this when i pull the list_creatures horse command, and shows the vanilla skin. i can't sell nor use set_skin to change it either. can i get rid of it somehow or is it just ... yknow, there forever lmao?

Heyyyyyyyy so I'm joining hoping someones able to help me with my plan here. It's a long story, but I'm looking to debug a baby into SDV. I have SMAPI installed, though it is slightly outdated I admit. The console commands are not working. I have my SMAPI outdated on purpose, so I can play SDV expanded still...But I think my problem is the fact SMAPI is outdated. I can't run any console command except three (help, reload, and harmony summary). Is there something I'm missing? Do I have to update my SMAPI? is there a way to get an older verision of SMAPI if I update so that I can play SDV expanded later?
I've only ever modded the sims and SDV before, but its been AGES since I installed mods on SDV. I know how to turn them "off" and how to turn them "on" and thats about all i remember, so I'm really struggling to do this lol
But is there a way to get the old verision of SMAPI back? Everytime I boot it, it warns me SDV expanded will not work if SMAPI is updated. Now granted, it has been a year, so maybe I'm just reallllllllyyyyyyyy out of it when it comes to mod updates, but I want to be sure SVE will still be able to work afterwards.

For the user, this means that the mod will break in the upcoming SMAPI 4.0 if it is not updated. If you are concerned about losing certain mods, it is recommended to create a backup of Stardew Valley 1.5.6 now (see !backup), but at present most modders are updating their code so that their mods can be released when 1.6 releases. Most major mods are not expected to be broken for a long period of time after 1.6 releases.

It's a long story, basically I got married to another player, and they havent been avalible. We wanted to prank them by having a baby appear. out of no where. Tried save file editing, didn't work. I didn't even edit the file cause I couldn't find the spot the tutorial wanted. So i know its not that. So we've been trying the pregnant command that listed, that supposedly makes a baby appear the next day. house is upgraded, I technically have a spouse, so
Sorry I've been using the term baby, but I do know there's that debug child. that is also not working either. We were trying to do the pregnant command since it seems more sutiable for having it "randomly" appear, but who knows. Maybe we're reading the wikis wrong.

It didn't go through the first time for some reason, but as I gathered screenshots, I tried again one last time, and it gave me the "Input sent to game, but no output was found"-- Which from my research means it worked! before I was getting the "That command doesn't exist". Only time will tell! Thank you guys for your help in all of this!
I'm not quite sure if this is the right place to ask, but I've been trying to redownload smapi for at least a year now. Anytime I have, it pops up with an error saying that smapi is missing a file and that my antivirus may have deleted it. But I've uninstalled antivirus and turned off the default firewall and have still gotten the error. I have no idea what else to try.
After redownloading do you reinstall it?
Yeah, I've tried both the direct download and the download from nexus and both of them keep giving me the same error. I've even tried undownloading the previous attempts. It keeps just saying that the installer itself has been deleted, and I know it isn't because of antivirus because of having uninstalled my antivirus completely and still getting the same error.
did you run the installer after unzipped?

(Off the top of my head you might have to actually restore the file and re-run the installer itself after deleting all traces of smapi-internal if it still exists, or possibly using a different file extractor entirely like 7zip. If it isn't caused by antivirus programs it might actually be an issue with the default Windows Installer.)
and don't move the unzipped file. let it be right after unzipping
I did just search smapi in all my files, and there are a lot of older downloads and things from when I had used it before. I'm not sure if deleting all of those would help

While it's showing all of them, it's also saying they all don't technically exist. Or at least they aren't located where the computer is registering they are
Sounds like you might have phantom files and back ups floating around.
Your computer might be calling on instances of the same file. You're going to probably need to delete everything you find and wipe the slate clean.

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). I started attempting a manual download, and it looked like it was going to work until I was hit with this. I tried restarting my computer, running the installer as an administrator, and manually deleting the file myself but it doesn't seem to be working. Once I manually delete the file, the installer will open for a solid .5 seconds before closing again.
hmm, you're not running Stardew at the same time as the installer right?
This error indicates you likely succeeded at the admin install.
Which unfortunately means you're likely going to have to wipe your SDV install (not the saves, the saves are in a separate folder), reinstall the game, then reinstall SMAPI

Hello I am having issues with Mods and SMAPI if someone can help.
After copying and pasting the SMAPI destination into steam and start the game. My computer bricks. I assume it might have to do with the amount of mods I downloeded and some may not be compatible with others, but I dont think that would brick my computer. Any advice?

I was just hoping to find out information on modding for the mobile version of the game. A while back, can't remember where, I was told that it wasn't quite ready for the newest version of the mobile game and so I stopped playing there for about a year and figured I'd just wait. But today I tried to install the SMAPI, and it appears to be several years out of date still and referring to an old version of the game, while failing to function.
SMAPI version 3.7.6.9 was what was downloaded when I tried to do it this time.

Android SMAPI does not currently work for SDV 1.5.6.61. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible.
Mod support for 1.5 on Android is still experimental, so many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.
If you find a mod bug on Android, first make sure that:
a) you have the latest SMAPI version from https://github.com/ZaneYork/SMAPI-Android-Installer/releases;
b) you have the latest mod version(s) or have the last-known Android-compatible version;
c) and the mod author hasn't already addressed it on the mod page (e.g. via an Android-specific version or comments).

Haven't heard anything from mobile smapi dev (zaneyork) and near 1.6 so guess there's no point to make it stable (becuse the recode mobile sdv got makes it harder to port smapi to mobile)
I tend to keep my android stuff up to date.
Last version i know will work is 1.5.6.39
As in the new version update will make it harder for people to mod the game on purpose or just that, because its being recoded on mobile, it'll be hard to port SMAPI due to all the changes?

I really wished I could just play the game via my PC then send the save to my phone and so on for playing whenever wherever. But alas, I guess I'm stuck playing via PC only if I want mods.

the more mods you have, the longer your load times get (exponentially, if you are adding a bunch of maps and NPCs). there are a couple of mods available that can help with that, but ultimately you will just have to wait for the game to load, up to literal minutes

Hey, I'm trying to use DC burger but portraits do not fit the frame. I'm using smapi's 3.18.6, pytk lite and content patcher
I'm having some trouble with a modpack of mine that used to work but now just seemingly doesn't. I tried updating most mods that were on nexus (I don't really know how to do manual updates on vortex), but no luck. I have 3.18.6 SMAPI, and the most recent version of SpaceCore, which I suspect is the suspect, just from some of the wording in the crash log and the fact that it's my only save serializer. The game loads up fine, I can host a co-op world, but when my friends join, they just see a screen with my cabin on it, but they cant move, and if they try to use a tool, it crashes the game. The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

Fair enough, that was the farmhand log, no log is generated on the hosts end, as far as I can tell.

I would 100% believe either the host is refusing to look/is not following proper directions to get SMAPI-latest, or if you did the looking you may not be looking in the right place.

Yeah admittedly I'm definitely looking to ditch Vortex, it's literally the worst, but I wanted something that could easily share big bunches of mods and configs without a messy manual installation.
(That makes it incredibly messy. 😅)
I mean, manual install is A) the best for SDV outside of Stardrop and B ) it's fairly simple to drop the modlist in drive for your friends to download once you've got yours squared away, which is what is recommended for a multiplayer playthrough
I stress that last part because outside of multiplayer do not share mod files over drive
I made a vortex modpack and installed that on the other pc 5 feet away, so I don't know how it could possibly be 15 mods mismatched, besides vortex being vortex.
That'd be mod piracy. But multiplayer is generally the acceptable reason to do the Google Drive portion since it forces matching mods
All I can tell you is your log indicates there's that much of a mismatch. You'll need the log on said other PC 5 feet away for us to know what isn't on there.
yeah that's how I used to do it but I started searching for a better way when I got sick of manually updating mods every 3 weeks on all pcs

I know vortex is old school but moving all my mods to Stardrop sounds so daunting to me 😭 knowing me I’d screw it up lol

(Vortex isn't recommended for many reasons, and mod managers are honestly only advisable if you want multiple profiles for different saves or to coordinate multi-player mod files. Even then it's more of a necessary evil than anything.)

IME this happens when you click while the save is loading
It interrupts the process and usually clicking "wait" does nothing

It looks like it might be crashing before SMAPI is able to capture the actual error. You can try to see if the error is visible by opening up a command prompt and then launching SMAPI from that. This way when SMAPI crashes, the command prompt will remain open and capture the last error message.

Alright, if it crashed, you should be able to upload a new log to detect the crash itself. But several of the updates you're missing are optimizations that could prevent this. Smapi itself is outdated- 3.18.6 is the current version and had several bug fixes regarding startup times.
(It's probably going to be touch and go with the current mod versions you have installed. I highly advise deleting any duplicate files such as Lurking in the Dark, upgrading to 3.18.6 and downloading an optimizer mod like Spritemaster or Fast Loads)
(Do not download Spritemaster if you aren't updating and installing 3.18.6. It will probably not work 😅)

If you have debug set to true in config, do me a favor.
You just either use General Mod Config Menu or you go to the config.json and replace debugging mode (or whatever it's listed as) false value with true.
But debug_asreset as a command should randomize ids and reset them.
i did not have debugging on, so i changed it in my config and restarting game now

You don't need to delete the game and all your mods.
Pull out the Smapi installer from your Mods folder, and run it like I said. Unlike mods, it configures and cleans up past installations to update itself.

So, I am getting mail that tells me about villagers birthdays, but, to my knowledge, i dont have any mod like that installed. I just went through my modlist looking for the offender and none of the possible culprits seems to have this option. Any help? Any way to tell in game what mod the mail is from?

Did you install a mod pack collection? There's several duplicate files and outdated frameworks that haven't been used in years. I'll look and see if I can figure out the culprit, but I highly recommend getting rid of some of the mods and replacing them with more compatible ones

He doesn't have Stardew Valley Expanded, you don't have Ridgeside Village. The game is trying to run two entirely different files and instances of the world.
You both have to have the EXACT same mods loaded in. You can't just have one download the other.

Alright so I'm going to look at your log for real. You need to get rid of Enteorax, extended minecarts and PyTk lite on top of the other stuff ((PyTk is obsolete and can cause issues, Enteorax is not only obsolete, it causes catastrophic loop failures with PyTk installed.

I just did this lol. I downloaded them all separate from paradigmnoamds nexus page. Deleting them, i just search for the name of each mod and deleted all the files associated with it

No one has ever updated Sauvignon in Stardew, right? That one is lost for good? Checking because back in 2019-ish I had a long-running save that played heavily with that mod. Was wondering if I could pick it up again or if I'm out of luck.

Oh, good! I was afraid to corrupt my old save by trying it out. That's awesome. It's such a cute little building. Even if the perks don't work, it's still thematically appropriate for the character.
