Random NPCs does not work with multiplayer because, by definition, they are random. And if you have an NPC mismatch, then the game dies a quick death

Xbox and Playstation consoles cannot run Stardew mods. The Nintendo Switch has very limited, unofficial modding capability in the form of XNB mods only. However, this requires jailbreaking your Switch, something which can only be done on select models and can run the risk of bricking your console.

That's what I was afraid of. Bundles are a very very fragile construct. Any modifcation can cause irreparable game damage.
You can try to reset your game files, but no guarantee that it will work.

ah, looks like garden village removes them from vanilla shops. it should add them to one if its' own shops
Anyone knows how to make Downtown zuzu less laggy? The lag gets so bad that the game crashes. I tried deleting the CC content but then I couldn't access it through the bus. Thank you!
!SM might help with glitches. Check if you have error handler in your mod folder (it comes preinstalled with smapi)

If that's too confusing I'd lookup in your food mods file to find out how you're supposed to 'unlock' the food items. If the process has glitched (e.g. the recipe was supposed to be sent to you via sam but never sent) you could use the smapi console to unlock the recipes

Has anyone used "Furniture Anywhere" mod? it shows on the page that it's sort of abandoned at this point. last update was 2019
asking because even tho we can place some furnitures outdoors, there are still some that we couldn't place outdoors ;-;
i think i mentioned yesterday or the other day that the items tagged as "decor" in the item spawner or catalogue are the only ones you can place outdoors. the ones tagged as "furniture" can't be placed outdoors.

Hi, I downloaded free love mod to get Krobus as a rommate but once I invited him (he didnt move in yet) my current husband broke and didnt appear in the house (plus his room bacame empty)
I uninstalled the mod because I thought its gonna help but it only broke more now and the room is gone, and looks like this. my husband is still not home
is there any way to fix it?
Removed the conflicts. (removed Stardew aquarium, added pytk lite) still encountering issues. Specifically my split screen player cannot use lookup anything on Mateo. I also have a lan player who doesn't seem to be getting reputation experience with quite a few people. They have an exact clone of my mods.

Hello my current version of installed smapi is outdated. do i need to uninstall it before installing the new one? Or may I just install the new one without issue?

hi guys any advice on a mod im trying to put the server up while i do some other stuff for my friends and the always on mod keeps crashing eventhough i have the most recent version
ive been setting up mods to start a new run but i have this issue with the shipping bin. I tried two mods for re-designs and they won't show but still bug out. only the lower part shows, the cover is the og one but the rest bugs everytime as u can see.. any idea what could be causing this? i searched out in the smapi log but nothing seems to be crashing or overslapping

now I don't think UI info suit 2 runs on android (correct me if I'm wrong), and according to the compatibility list automate 1.26.0 is the latest version to work
They both work but after i added the fishing overhaul mod the give these errors but they still work

if something throws an error that means it doesn't work, parts of it may function but that doesn't mean it works

that's not proving much, you got those errors after loading a save which you didn't do for the last log
I've never had an error with you I info swuit too because I always look through the error logs just to make sure I'm not wrecking my safe file
So I fixed the problem by changing the data folder for snappy and erasing all the data and loading it again and that apparently fix the museum problem as for you I and so swuit I don't know even though it shows a letter error in the end it doesn't malfunctional or anything it stays the same and thanks for your help though

is there an updated version of Skillprestige.Magic? I get an error Magic.Spellbook does not exist, how ever I had a brief look into the src of Magic and relized Spellbook is now an Internal class in Magic.Framework
To be honest, I don’t think many people use the Skill Prestige mod to begin with.

I think i have to use https://github.com/spacechase0/StardewValleyMods/blob/develop/Magic/Framework/Extensions.cs GetSpellbook to fix the mod, can I use reflection on game1.player to get this function and use a simple object and reflection on it to call functions?
Extension methods aren’t magic
They’re normal static methods, with the first argument marked „this”

Hey, anyone know what happens to mods (PC) when the game updates? I'm worried that when the game updates to 1.6, alot of the mods won't work anymore.

Another question I have. If i copy my game folder and say, put it in another folder (like my Documents folder for example). When the game updates. It won't update the copied one, in Documents right?
he appears only after using npc adventures mod when I make him follow me and then tell him to go away

I just recently got into modded Stardew, and Theres alot of content. Still really looking forward to 1.6 for my vanilla (aka my first save) though! 😄

- we're currently in very late alpha
- we don't know the extent of content changes CA wants to make, so we may be waiting on that too
- we may find some game-breaking bugs that need to be fixed when we transition into the beta
- CA said he wants to avoid the situation of mobile not getting the update for such a long time after PC does, so we're probably waiting for the mobile update too

right-click stardew in steam, click properties, and then paste the second line of green text into "launch options"

after that, youll want to 1) right click stardew again, 2) select browse local files, 3) find your mods folder 4) extract the mod you downloaded into the mods folder. then when you hit play in steam you should get a black console with white text. thats smapi, and seeing that means youve got things loaded in properly. if at any point you see read text, that means something has gone wrong

okay. there's two ways to do this
stardew just loads in as normal
- if you set the steam launch options, you can just launch stardew through steam
- you can always just go to your stardew game folder and double-click
StardewValleyModdingAPI.exe. if you do it this way, I recommend making a desktop shortcut instead
i launched it through steam, it was the same
(you can make a desktop shortcut by right-click dragging it onto the desktop and selecting "create shortcut")

like the requirements that are needed to achieve perfection so lets say for example I need 130 golden walnuts for ginger island and it tells me that I need those many golden walnuts to reach perfection
So - your options are to either Cheat those in via CJB Cheats/Item Spawner, or customize how many you need to get via Perfection Tweaker.
I would suggest looking at those mods on Nexus and finding the best one/combination that you like best.

I keep those two always updated because they're usually core mods. A lot of mods will bug if you don't keep them up to date and 9/10 updating them doesn't hurt the mods that rely on them (as far as I know)
Generally speaking, this is good advice. There have been rare instances where not updating has been better, but those are rare. Such as SMAPI 3.18.5 breaking Spritemaster, so many people waited for 3.18.6 to ensure Spritemaster still worked.

Can you try to reproduce the problem? Not having a crash in the log is possible, but usually the SMAPI console will produce a wall of red text.

So here's the thing about multiplayer, Crimson.
You both have to have the same mods because you're not creating a new save and it doesn't automatically download the mods he needs. You both need the same mods in order for multiplayer to run, because otherwise it causes a conflict and his game won't know what to do with the information your mods on the save are trying to install

as for which mod is actually calling for these inexistent character files (Shane_HappyDrunk.xnb and Wizard_beach.xnb) we'll have to see, couldn't figure that one just yet
ah yes, it may be that they didn't update the version numbering in the manifest, Devine Decor for example didn't and is still displaying 1.0.0
check Romanceable Rasmodius' config, it should have an option to disable the use of the beach sprites or enable the loading of the wizard beach sprites
it could be a capitalization mistake too (but if you disable the use of the beach sprites it shouldn't matter anyway)
If the pack you are using does not have beach sprites or the beach sprites are not loaded correctly, the game will crash if you leave this on.

Has there been any updates to spritemaster causing items to be the wrong thing? For example I was having items in the foraging collection show the sprites of fish. My game is not responding when I enter an area, I assume it's due to the amount of mods I have, I'm sure spritemaster can help it but it shuffles all my items around

Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/GreenhouseMap' asset ((CP) Buildable Greenhouse Updated and Lnh's New Greenhouse). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
Buildable Greenhouse Updated was never loaded, so you can't see it in Robin's shop

Update: apparently after I deleted all data and we loaded all my mods and texture packs that fixed it
If I were to take a wild guess I think one of the mods did impact the error but it did not take effect when I removed it somehow and it needed to erase all the data

I weird issue began to occure recently.. I play with a controller and when i try to to the slingshot item in my hotbar, it is skipped and goes over it to the next item (that happens in both directions, in whichever slot it is in, only to the slingshot). trying to add a save at any time feature into a game that was built very specifically for saving at a certain time and in a certain way is asking for trouble, basically

Plus Save Anywhere is borked right now. The dev is working on it, but it just keeps being buggy
even the person that maintains it currently begs people not to use it if that gives you any inidication as to its current state 
i wonder if that's part of my issues

Are you trying to access a previous save...yep, what Crow said
So, where you are now, Laura, is you have frameworks but no content packs
so that error will pop up whenever you're missing the mods that were on your previous save. Basically they get removed for the same reason in multiplayers that you don't wanna have mismatched mods.
