Hi all! I'm using Lnh's farmhouse but I have no idea why when I upgrade to have a cellar, a second one appears here?? There's another cellar where it's supposed to be but then why is another one here? This is a new save and the only cellar mod I have is Aimon's Redesigned Cellar Layout but I'm only aware it doesn't change the cellar location and the description says it's compatible. There's no red errors for the farmhouse and I have Farmhouse Fixes installed. Is there a way I can fix this on my own?

Redesigned Cellar Layout is not compatible with Lnh's First FarmHouse, even though LiuNianHui made exceptions not to load the cellar if you have Aimon's mod
Aimon's mod replaces the vanilla FarmHouse_Cellar with the vanilla FarmHouse_Cellar... that doesn't work with Lnh's FarmHouse2, its layout differs vastly from the vanilla one

the operation is called //vanillaentrance
to fix this (probably):
you may open Redesigned Cellar Layout's content.json, find //vanillaentrance and comment the entire block out by putting // in front of every line

Is my file corrupted or sumthin?
Like it worked fine an hour ago, but removing something crashed my game suddenly. I tried running again a few times, and able to enter a save before crashing and when i try to enter again, it suddenly crashed before loading in other mods
The good news: your save is almost certainly fine. The bad news: debugging an access violation error (AVE) is pretty difficult
You will probably have to selectively remove mods to find the cause
If you have recently added any mods, remove those first to see if it helps
You can just move them temporarily to another folder
If you had any mod updates to do, I would have recommended updating, but I donโt see any in the log
The last time I got a consistent AVE was mismatched mod versions
Yeah, i was too deep into adding mods, though i think the last straw was removing fishing made easy, and a warning about broken loop Data/Fish. As well as trying to figure out a mod that's causing STF error in the traveling merch by removing mods
AVEs generally donโt show in the log, and they hard crash the game. You will have to just see if it triggers by relaunching the game with different combinations of mods.
Yeah, well the good thing is i made a backup of both my save file and the mod file before i added some new mods, which was yesterday cause i'm kinda paranoid that my laptop will suddenly fail me

hi quick question, is the hardew valley mod compatible with MARGO? in terms of combat, weapons, and item selling prices and such
I expect some incompatibility in terms of effects, you may or may not get errors
In particular MARGO changes some weapon info and so does hardew valley
Hardew valley is only a CP mod though, so the incompatibility would likely be more like "some warnings in the log and odd in-game results"
But not things exploding too badly, is my guess

Personally I would pick one and run with it, or use just the content pack parts of hardew valley
Touching professions is a little tricky, I wouldn't really trust that it wouldn't interact

I'm not noticing any ingame issues, but I noticed after installing raffadax that JA is spamming console with Object <number> is a duplicate??? errors, and I was wondering if anyone knows what that actually means

I think it happens primarily because fruit trees don't check the sapling object against the currently registered objects.

probably because I have ppja and raffadax installed together and they're stepping on each others' toes. though I notice raffadax also seems to somehow have a lot of duplicates with itself
ja_summary will tell you which item it is actually, and then using grep to search the mod dir apparently

no, a very specific folder: assets no subfolder, or the line as I sent it to you can't find the file
I misspoke, I meant a subfolder in the assets folder! The line of code shows up as a file so I downloaded it and put it in the assets folder.
the fix is just a copy of Lnh's lines but in reverse, there are even specific warp changes if you have Redesigned Cellar in Lnh's, which makes me believe that someone changed their mind about how to tackle this issue halfway through coding

Game shows extreme latency for other players on modded, everything was fine until fall of 1
It takes around 2 minutes for my friend to just open a chest and the chest just stays that way, no way of opening it again until the day restarts
Also other players take way too long to pick items from fruits or the ground, currently 107 mods and most of them are only visual and does not add anything to the game though the modpack is roughly around 350 megabytes

okay new issue: I used debug cso to force-complete it, and now all of the objectives are full, but the order isn't completing
Lol I just copied the original content.json, put in a folder, deleted everything in it, edited your content.json and copied everything from that into the original .json. It should be the same one, just with your fix, and I checked with no errors! Maybe not the expected fix but it should work ๐

I'm attempting to update a texture replacer mod, but the tileset that the original modder made needlessly overwrites ofher items too. Do I need to make the items that the mod originally overwrote seperate?

But you would have to look at what each mod adds where.
Just realised one of the mods I might intend to do would change the cellar, so I'd likely have to just not use expanded cellar!
Still that's really good to know, kinda new to this and helps my perspective in dealing with issues in the future

First, there's this - you should fix it.
13:12:34 ERROR Content Patcher Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Greenhouse' asset (Ellie's Ideal Greenhouse and Immersive Farm 2 Remastered). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
Second, reinstall FTM. The json is not parsing correctly.

A lot of CF packs have been converted to CP or AT. You could search for replacements. If there isn't one, then you could convert it yourself.
Witchy furniture is the only one I really care about and I believe they have an AT one already.

They might say they need it, but that's no longer true. You would just have to go into the manifest.json and edit the PyTk dependency to "false."

The game can't cast the object types for your farmhouse and furniture. You could try resetting the content files to see if that helps.

Ohai! I just downloaded a bunch of mods I've never used before and may be running into an issue. so, I ran through the tunnel, through 3 new parts of map I haven't been to (mods) and when I ran on to go to the next part of map the screen went dark with the little loading thingy in the left bottom corner but it just kept loading. You might need to try again and reproduce the error first. It looks like you relaunched the game and quit without loading, so there's not much info in the log aside from your mod list 
(usually a freeze like that will have repeating red text everywhere, though not always)

That seems to be an issue with Garden Village Shops, possibly conflicting with Walk To The Desert Redux? People have reported it in a few places here:

i'm currently on 3.18.4 it's about 3-5 minutes load but I guess it's probably cause I have a few major expansions in like SVE, Ridgeside, East Scarp and some npcs plus aquarium, boarding house etc.

There is a fair bit wrong with this log
You have Free Love and Multiple Spouses, yeet Multiple Spouses as it's the older version. Remove Custom Spouse Patio, replace with Custom Spouse Patio Redux. You appear to be wanting to use the spanish translation of things but did not read their instructions - Date Night doesn't have i18n so I don't know what that author was doing, but IF2R/Grandpa's Farm/SVE needs the original (English) mod and then overwrite the files with the Spanish version.

Hi there sorry to bother you with such a long message! I'm just having some issues with SVE, when I go to boot up the game, my smapi says Skipped Mods: "[FTM] Stardew Valley Expanded because it contains files, but none of them are manifest.json" but when I go into the file there is a manifest.json. I've tried to uninstall it and reninstall it using the correct methods and it still doesn't work. I've also updated FTM to the most recent version and even though I am using Modular Overhaul which has an FTM SVE optional file, it still gives that error regardless of whether that is installed or not. My smapi log is:

So the mod author kindly told me what the issue was, the door tile was too low

So I'm having an issue with my greenhouse - This is the first time I have moved it in any file, and it does this. I am able to enter this glitched greenhouse but exit to where my actual one is, I am also unable to walk or place anything in the obstructed area. Please help

Hmm....well, there are mixed comments on the mod page - lots of bugs/issues. But Seasonal Cute Characters could be overriding the mod. Try removing it and see if it fixes Veronica's portrait.
I've seen Smapiro, but I keep telling him to update only two modes.

You probably have the most recent version, but the author forgot to change the manifest. You likely don't need to update at all.
i use stardrop to help me organize my mods, if i just uncheck it. Does that work?

Yeah - that should work in Stardrop to disable. If that didn't fix it, then either your Veronica portraits have gone missing or there's a big bug in the mod.

You could try that. The portraits should be in the mod's assets folder.
Then it's likely a bug in the way the mod patches the content, unfortunately

im thinking this one has to do with the map tiles and a mod that makes you walk faster on those
we were decorating the farm so i guess it could be that(lots of floors that interacts with the mod)
yeah - time in mp works differently
maybe will try tomorrow to disable the faster path speed
mods that alter time tend to cause issues in mp

Hey there! So unless the mod somehow adds specific attributes (i.e. states in the name of the objects), then unfortunately there is no way of knowing.
The reason for this is because after vanilla assets are loaded, SMAPI & JA assign IDs to items.
And it's not mod-based, so those IDs could be different for everyone.

So the error is clear, at least, but I don't know what the fix would be. Basically the hover text stated on the map page is targeting an improper object for that map. For example, you hover over a path tile and the hover text says "Crop:Turnip" or something...it clearly is not the correct object type for that map.
Honestly, unless you know C# really really well, I wouldn't attempt trying to fix it yourself. I would report this as a bug to the mod author.
Sadly I cannot do that, the author didn't release on nexus.

The free love mod you can marry all the available characters
But when you have children they all share the same NPC Child base.
I want to know what is the route to be able to patch the skin of the children
When you have a child it becomes an NPC I guess how I identify that NPC to be able to assign it a different skin

Would anyone be able to help me? I havent played stardew in a few months and never had any issues (for about a year). i recently launched it with smapi and it told me i needed to update smapi so i did! Now smapi refuses to load the game. The game launches just fine when i delete my launch path in steam but when i launch smapi it will say it is loading then give me a black stardew loading screen with the message "modding api failed to load"

In the loading window for the game. It will attempt to bring the game up on my second monitor but a windows error message will pop up on it
have you tried clicking "wait for the program to respond" and waiting like 30 secs?? its not much of a fix but its worked for other games i've modded
