Maybe, Cecil. There are numerous sites and youtube videos and such, but the fact of the matter is that modding on Android is still in experimental stages. It works for some people but not others. And there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.

Oh thank god it's back to normal. Tho spritemaster only helps like the initial load up of the game, whenever I click my file it still takes like 3 million years
The first load out and next game day are the toughest, for sure, but I don't know what I'd do without Spritemaster.
Before I installed it, my load out would take 30-45 minutes.
Hi everyone!! Luckily no modded problems here but I need a lil bit of modded know how. Many of the mods on naver, particularly the retexture files, use merging xnb's as the primary way of retexturing stuff for some reason and I have no interest in that. I have the pngs but they're obviously meant for merging. Is it possible to crop it with the in game texture width and height and make it AT content pack out of it?
There are definitely ways to do this, from converters to guides, etc., but this is better suited for #making-mods-general π

5 minutes is not that long for a modded game to load. Regardless, you should get Spritemaster - it's the only optimization mod for SDV. If you don't like the pixel resampling, you can turn that off.

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance. It is highly configurable and you can choose which options to enable.
They can't be made compatible because they both edit the same farm map. You would have to manually edit both mods to get the specific assets/usage you want, which will require editing tilesheets, etc.

best i can say is check that
By "troublesome" I meant it would alter the game horribly that would result in a crash/corrupt.
It could be because the mod itself wasn't meant to universally compatible or just some functions might go wrong.
Hence the question, the more experienced users probably could identify at a glance/generally mark out if there's possible problem
Even if the player is experienced they won't be able to tell if a mod will be compatible with Android or not without testing it.

Alright Scooby-Gang, Angelika/LadyAstraan here with another mystery to solve.
SO! The Destroyable Bushes mod. Awesome, I love the whole idea. Lets you cut down those vanilla bushes on the Forest Farm to make more space.
I downloaded it, opened the game and indeed was able to cut down a bush on the Forest Farm.
But then... I realized I hadn't actually put the mod in the mods folder...
So... what other mod I may have that allows this and I just wasn't aware?

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. I made a small change in crop mods and it displays the wrong image for some crops now when active. Like in the screens below.
Completely deleting and reinstalling it didn't help
fixed it found the mod making the error π all good

The game generally expects a specific image dimension and a mod specifically to change that is needed usually. Smaller is doable in CP
Idk what your specific map edit thing is doing
But you can edit specific parts of an image with CP

So, it looks like your issues are:
- don't have spacecore (looks like something went poorly in the unzipping, or the manifest got eaten)
- Some Vortex disabled mods

If you keep using Vortex, any disabled mods do show up as red errors in the log but it's not a problem
You can try fixing the issues 1 at a time and then posting a new log whenever you get stuck again

@azure dust I hate to bother you but I seem to be having a problem with giving Maru mushrooms for the special request to give 5 mushrooms. It's only taking them as gifts and I can't give her any mushrooms that work toward the request.
My guess is that you must be holding a stack of at least 5 musrhoom items of the same quality in order for it to count, and you do deliver to Maru directly

If it's a Json, with Notepad. If not, you'll probably have to decompile it, and for that you'll have to ask more in #making-mods-general

hello so im playing a very heavy modded file and either the combination of mods or some of the mods themselves have a broken mailbox mechanic. im unable to read my mail even if i open it its not marked as read and i cannot collect items from some modded mail. i want to know how i can edit the code within my save to mark these as read. searching for just ' mail ' brings up too many results. is there a specific phrasing for unread mail ?

You can check your hotkeys/key bindings in GMCM - when the mod menu pops up, look for the little keyboard icon at the top left.
Also, did you add/change/update any mods today that might override the hotkey?

Hello, I am currently unable to load anything past the letter in the drawer as the application hits me with a not responding error. I have disabled and enabled Moon Misadventures so that's not the only thing causing issues. I'm guessing it's this patch error for Cape Stardew. Note: I did edit a couple JSON files to resolve compatibility issues (I believe it worked since I'm not getting errors for the edited ones anymore.

Moon Misadventures is definitely bugged, but you're right about this being an issue with Cape Stardew. Bundles are extremely fragile, so if something edits them and they stop working, your game can, too. I recommend removing/disabling Cape Stardew and seeing if that fixes the issue.

Looking a little deeper.
@upper depot - so Unlockable Bundles is basically a framework that allows modmakers to add their custom bundles. On the mod page for Wildflour's bundles it says that it is not compatible with other mods that edit the base community center bundles but that NEW custom bundles are okay.
Based on the error message, Cape Stardew uses unlockable bundles to add a custom bundle. The problem is how Cape Stardew coded the patch.

The secret forest is also bugged. when I walk into it, it looks like maps kinda collides and I can't see my player or open the menu. Had to close the game.

What and where's the xnb file for trees coming out of the titlescreen? It's not in the TilesButton.xnb file
Your issue is that you have two mods that are trying to patch the same asset.
20:43:46 ERROR Content Patcher Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Mountain' asset (Stardew Valley Expanded and Stardew Valley Reimagined 2). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.
You need one or the other, but you can't have both.

You should never need to go into the contents folder, anyways? I mean, just bookmark/quick pin your /Mods folder for quick access

Hmm, it looks like that didnβt change much. Itβs definitely a special order problem, so you could try removing mods that add special orders 1 by 1 to see if that helps

for the mac? are you having the same problem?

windows doesn't have the same right click feature

they are all there
ridge side, sve, and all acompying mods plus some others are in the mods folder in local files
usually it says running with x amount of mods, but it only says 3

if it says 3, that's only the 3 basic SMAPI mods
