I find it especially difficult to find what mods I want to delete in my large mod list.
I have a large mod list and I think its fine
And if the console says which mod does not work I can just reinstall the mod, it’s already in my pc I just drag it in again.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
why would you when you can search a file name and replace the mod efficiently instead of taking more time opening console and looking through the errors, reopening your files and finding the one you borked
some people have hundreds, even thousand mods. i have hundreds of mods and finding the file, deleting and replacing it takes me no less than 5 minutes
than if i replace, potentially break it, open the game just to find it borked and have to go back into my files
i'm done arguing, this is just not worth my time right now
If we updated 10 mods at a time I would win even if one of the mods didn’t run and i have to reinstall. But 1 at a time you would win perhaps.

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. As far as I could read, something in Medieval Buildings by Gwen isn't registering as a valid JSON. Maybe try reinstalling the mod?
looks like its the config, so i think you most likely edited it incorrectly
delete the config.json and use GMCM to edit it instead

The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.
I would say that or something corrupted. Can say from personal experience of mods getting corrupted out of nowhere

i'm having an issue with possibly MARGO, or maybe some conflict with MARGO, or a mod that is emulating a thing MARGO does, but i'm having a hell of a time figuring out the why of it. i'm getting the arrows showing up at the edge of the screen pointing to forage and panning locations, which is a feature of MARGO's professions module, but it's happening even on a new game and not waiting for me to have the requisite profession. the mod author told me that their mod wasn't the problem. does anyone see another mod in my list that might be causing this to happen?

Okay, so essentially I have a full (vanilla) shipment, except for beforehand I had a mod installed that added a couple extra items that I hadn't shipped yet. I removed that mod because I didn't like it, and I thought that would unlock the achievement but it doesn't seem to have and I was hoping someone might have a fix?
You could add the Perfection Tweaker mod

But if you want to do it the hard way? You would need to debug the achievements (and calling console commands have a risk of borking your save)

There should be a configuration option in the "mod option" button on your game options menu tab, if you have GMCM installed.
i'll look through it again but i don't recall seeing it as an option in any mods other than MARGO

It just hit me. CJB Cheats allows you to select all professions and all bonuses, which in turn gives you the iridium forage and the cursors.

hey I have Expanded and Event Lookup, it says I should have an event at ||the summit at 6am-6pm, for Kent's 8 heart event.|| However when I go there the event won't trigger? I noticed it said the weather should be sunny, and so I waited for a sunny day, still nothing happens.

So I just cross-referenced the main wiki with the SVE wiki. Canonically Kent doesn't have an event at 8 hearts. So it makes sense that the next "event" would be at 8, which is what Event Lookup thinks. But it's actually at 10, because that was added by SVE.

If so, that's just a framework that allows mod makers to create unique responses
It doesn't actually add the content - other modmakers would need to add the content

I switched from vortex to stardrop, all the mods I have arent showing in in stardrops list, I tried downloading something to test if that worked and it shows up in stardrop and it says the last date modified in the files is the date and time I downloaded it. I was told to ping @oblique jay and attach the log, if you reply pls do it with ping on so I can find it easier

...I thought you were wanting them to be something else. I don't see the issue in the picture, then, because some FS outfits are generally supposed to be a top/bottom match
What I'm seeing in the image here, unless you're about to tell me the top is JA, is that you have an FS top but normal bottoms, and the FS top works as it "should"
And the game is drawing the pants over the pants spot, since that's where the farmer pants are drawn.
If you're using FS and you want vanilla farmer pants, you need to have the Vanilla assets for FS
there's a pants slot specifically for this part.
so the top probably has a bottom to go with it.
its actually doind it with the fs pants too where it cuts out the top part of the shoes

Honestly, here's my two cents.
Outside of the mod mismatch, there's likely something wrong with your FS mods. No matter what, if people have the same outfits in their FS packs, then they should see the same thing
For example, I use hoodie mod on my multiplayer file with friends
They see me with hoodie and they see me with hoodie with hood up on rainy days
the shoes do look messed up
your shoes are fucky on one end, and you have completely different outfits
I wonder if the other farmer has a farmer body mod by mistake or something

I saw this the other day. I couldn't find the solve for it either, but basically what I could see was that something borked the recipes gained when the farmer levels up, so it must be tied somehow to a mod that alters/edits skill progresssion.
I tried force leveling via cheat menu for foraging and farming with cheat menu, didn't seem to bug there

@drifting escarp - keep in mind that mods don't stand alone; if you tweak one thing, it could lead to missing something vital that breaks another mod, which then snowballs into 5211 errors.
hi y’all, i’m trying to download SMAPI on my partners computer. for some reason no matter how many times i do it i get this same error and i’m not sure what’s wrong. everythings downloaded and plays fine on mine and i’m doing the exact same thing. i looked at the troubleshooting guide and have completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game about 5 times now and still the same thing. the game starts fine normally without using SMAPI and he’s able to even join my modded game but can’t see the added mod characters and stuff.

you're missing something that's crucial for SDV to run. Some runtime or something - Elizabeth or atra would know it better than I would
But IIRC, those things should be installed on computers or SDV comes with them
i’m gonna see if deleting and completely redownloading smapi does anything. i’d assume a hardware thing would just make the entire game not open as is? but the normal game is completely fine
Hey yall, idk if it was mentioned anywhere (just got home from work), but i just had to update my "Content Patcher" mod, so make sure youre updating any outdated mods 
And it depends on what platform you're using! The most recent version of Lookup Anything does NOT work on Android.

So I updated smapi and all my mods but my computer is still using smapi 3.15 to run my mods which doesn't let some of my mods run
I've deleted all of yhe files zipped and unzipped of 3.15 and I can't figured out why it's still running it
I even got rid of smapit entirely

The mods out of date are PyTK (and is up to date, sorry, it's just bugged) and a hair mod that IS up to date, I just dunno how to get it to believe that it is
VPR Inspired UI is disabled in Vortex, and also only half works.

You've got both VPR-Inspired UI and Vintage Interface installed. Decide which one of them you want to use, then uninstall the other one. Right now, they both edit the dialogue box and what you're seeing is a result of that. Mine doesn't touch the gradient used for the text background, so you've got my wooden box around the portrait and Vintage's background.
I thought Vortex disabled it, but I guess not! Completely deleting the folder fixed it. Thanks... I'm stupid.
Yeah, we generally don't recommend Vortex around here. If you want a mod manager specifically for SDV, Stardrop is generally recommended. Glad I could help.

you have Earthy and VPR, that makes no sense, whichever loads last (in your case VPR) will overwrite changes done by the former

The red error I saw for DGA is the consequences of having a missing json
If you retrieve the missing json and put it back the red error should stop

are there any ways to fix manifests in mass? I created a copy of my mod folder and zipped all the mods, dragged them into stardrop to install them so now stardrop sees all of them, but now the manifests for most of my mods are invalid. I did all this because I was switching from vortex to stardrop and the mods werent showing in the stardrop app
Found the mod in issue, turns out the Game table and Arcade machine mod I was using was the issue since Ididnt get the error anymore

It's manageable if you can handle it. If it's too overwehlming, just choose the smaller option.
I like bigger farms for designing purposes and gives me more options to move areas around and grab some extra buildings, like sheds. Anyone saying to avoid rabbing it because it's only meant for multiplayer is just wrong lol. Go with the farm you want truly and don't let other's weird opinions negatively effect what you desire.

You should at least update Spacecore, but I don't know if that will fix the problem. You have a major error where your game is trying to find your farmer but can't. Try deleting Farmhouse Fixes

So, this looks like a vanilla bug. The SDV wiki says that "Children at stage 4 can run through walls and out of the map. Reseting the day or sleeping will reset the children to a random area of the farmhouse."

I have a bit of an issue if anyone could help, I would really appreciate. I’m gonna try to sum it up but basically when I launch the game, everything is fine, I click load and then I click on my file and it’s loading for like five second before the game crashes. I have modded my game but it’s been a while since I did so and I never had any problem so I don’t think it’s that but I prefer putting it here just in case

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). Your Mods folder should be in your game folder after you install SMAPI. See here for more information on finding it: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started#Find_your_game_folder
If you use Steam, you can also right click on the game name > Manage > Browse Local Files.

No, that isn't going to do anything. Atravita is correct - Mac doesn't have launch options and I just forgot that. Check your Mods folder path.
For my game, my path looks like this: /users/(USER)/Library/Application Support/Steam/Common/Apps/Stardew Valley/Contents/MacOS/Mods

That seems to be correct. When you launch the game, do you get a SMAPI terminal window?
nope the game launches just as normal without any other window popping
your problem is that stardew is throwing a sigabrt, which means someone needs to google that error code and figure out what the heck is going on
and I'm not a mac dev so I have no bloody clue
StackOverflow says that's code for segfault

i feel like this is not good news but yes i am ventura version Version 13.5.1 if it can help
I don't really know what's up with ventura, only that ventura is very protective of what code it's willing to run

I was going to ask you if you thought that might fix the issue. My segfault issue was with a specific mod, so it was easier to troubleshoot
