So I've noticed that I'm not getting a lot of recipes that come in the mail. I don't know which mod it is, but I get recipes in the mail very often. Unfortunately, since I'm seeking perfection, it kinda... puts a damper in my run. I saw the following statement:

There's no New Folder in the mod directory; the i18n has the line sprinklers, which actually work so I'm confused about it suggesting it is being skipped (there is no manifest in the folder though; and the Flower Sodas (while perplexing as I did install it correctly), wouldn't explain why some recipes that don't involve flowers, aren't being learned.

I should note that the errors I have now, I didn't have when I first started the playfile (it is Autumn now lol), and started maybe a week into the file.
JSON file lie to me, it said there was an error on line 120, but the actual error is on line 119

the error is in line 119 because line 119 does not end there, it ends in line 120 (computers don't work like humans, they actually follow a logic 😆 )
It looks like I made a mistake too. I accidentally deleted the last file while I was translating.😅
I thought line 120 had an error, so I changed it back to the original code.

- xnb mods are replacement mods, so you have to replace the game files with those, which is stated on the mod page
- why is there an i18n? but yes, did you unpack/split a mod?
- probably caused by #2
- same question as #2, did you split the mod? after unpacking put Flower Pack for Artisanal Sodas in your mod folder; you might have to redownload it if the manifest is missing
The i18n folder has the Line Sprinkler mod which... is actually working so I'm not too sure. The XNB ones were definitely an error on my half - I didn't move the files and was too lazy to do so, but not having baby animal sprites is fine lol.
as for the flower pack, nexus says the manifest is definitly there
no clue which sprinkler mod the i18n folder is from (nexus is down again) but it should be within that mod, not your "mods" folder
That's odd... I actually cannot find the flower pack at all in my mod directory, that's so odd... I've also found a separate line sprinkler folder- nevermind, the separate folder is working. The one shown above is upgradable line sprinklers which is redundant.

I think you can go into Settings -> Apps -> [File Manager Name] -> Set as Default?

Automatic Gates and HD Portraits are missing the manifest.json (this tells the game information about the mods). Get Glam is broken, so there's no reason you need a clothing pack for a mod that won't work correctly. SaveGameOptions is no longer compatible with the game's version
that's weird, Couse HD portraits was working. Do I have to dealt them permanently or can I get them back it will be fine?

did you change the version of pytk in the manifest?
either way, id recommend you use the Portraiture versions if they're available rather than the CP version

make a copy of your mods folder somewhere else. then unlink vortex from the game and uninstall it. move back your mods, and redownload and delete the ones i told you about

How I do that?
Go to your mods folder. Select all your mods. Press ctrl + c. Go to another location on your computer. Press ctrl + v.
Open vortex. Unlink the game. I don't know how to do that, I don't use Vortex. Look it up, or fiddle with it. Uninstall Vortex. If you don't know how to uninstall apps, look it up.
Go back to the location where you pasted your mods. Select them all. Press ctrl + c. Go to your mods folder (in your game folder) and press ctrl + v
Then delete these mods:
- Automatic Gates
- HDPortraits
- Hosiery for Get Glam
- Save Game Options
- Jier's HD Portraits
Redownload these mods:
- Automatic Gates
- HD Portraits
- Jier's HD Portraits

tl;dr Custom Backpack Framework temporarily hides the equipment slots, and Handy Headphones really does not expect that

SVE one probably just has SVE character portraits. normal one probably just has vanilla character portraits

hi! i have been experiencing an issue with the market day mod i repeatedly get smapi telling me
" This mod failed in the GameLoop.OneSecondUpdateTicking event. Technical details:
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
every time the game loads around to the day of the market. this issue seems to appear after loading the gifttastehelper mod as well but unsure if its correlated together.
my game has been super slow since i tried to restart my pc to fix this issue and crashes on the day of the market. its also broken in different ways as well within game when using the carry chests mod as well
if screenshots are needed, ill happily grab them now

So More Realistic Ponies only does parts of the farmer spritesheet and nothing affecting the shoes. Did remove Better Drink Anim though and checking now

Hi.. been having an issue w/ "house plant" dropping from breaking rocks in the mines.
I think it's one of those default items the game uses to replace whatever thing from mods isn't showing up.
I think I mightve found a clue in that two of my CON mods share the same number in their respective ore_config.jsons
- Margo's garnet & one from Cookie Clicker Suite both have
"0": 42424000
So.. would I delete Margo's ore_config.json and it'll pick a new number..?

For some reason, even though most configs deal with editimage, there's one load. And that load has no conditions on it, so it will always fire, regardless of config
Delete only the following from content.json:

If you're not intending on using it, just wipe it entirely

Alright so Danonino I have to assume your problem is computer based and not mod based. The only mod you're showing that deals with Audio is SAAT (needed for SVE) and that wouldn't cause this - in fact, you don't even have the usual sound error that comes along with this
According to your log, since audio hardware exists, no error is being thrown from SAAT. So if the audio hardware exists, it's likely outputting somewhere, maybe just not where you expect
Boot the game, then open "volume mixer" from the start menu and tell me if the bars are moving next to Stardew/SMAPI, whichever you see.

hey guys i need some help with my smapi, i downloaded it, extracted it into a file and installed smapi itself and got stardrop to manage my mods but smapi isn’t opening! i play on steam and it’s a quick “running” icon but immediately stops and goes back to the play “icon”. stardrop is also saying my mod folder doesn’t exist! i need some help!

if either of us use the horse, its Adopt n' Skin skin changes, and if we change maps it seems to replicate itself, to the point that we had 13 horses by the end of the day
instead of potentially breaking the save by sleeping we opted to scrap the day, and can't figure out which mod is causing it

i thought AnS wasn't multiplayer compatible
we thought that might be the issue but removing AnS didn't fix it

it's harder to figure out it's happening without AnS but i started seeing horse icons on the minimap in places where a horse shouldn't be at

yo, so I have been trying to use the forge to upgrade my galaxy sword with rubies and I have the omnitools mod and the save anywhere mod (which I started from a save anywhere save mid day) and everytime I forge the sword and then put it back into my omnitool, it seems to revert back to only being forged once. It was forged once before the "save anywhere" save so I don't know if that's causing the issue or what..

hi! im new to downloading mods, im playing stardew valley on pc through steam and im using SMAPI. on nexus should i download the at version or cp version of the mod??
Alternative Textures (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/9246) is a mod that allows selective changing of textures with a paintbrush tool in the game, as well as texture randomization. See the mod’s in-depth wiki https://github.com/Floogen/AlternativeTextures/wiki for details on how to create content packs for it.
if you download something that is cp, it applies to the textures when you load in, whereas at has tools you use to change textures in game. it's per personal preference which you want.

i personally use both, i have one cp mod that changes whichever type, buildings, etc, then i have at as well. i don't prefer vanilla in my game at all.

When I exited my game just now I noticed a lot of red in my smapi. I didn't have any issues that I noticed other than at one point when I tried to open the inventory it kept immediately closing again. Sorry, I don't have access to the mobile version right now, so I can't really help much personally. It looks like you'll need to reinstall SpaceCore and Stardew Valley Expanded, though. (It seems be missing some files, since it's looking in the assets folder; normally there's a manifest in the [CP] one)

help, there's a mod I installed and there seems to be no problem about it, not skipped in the logs but when I check it in game it's not appearing

Moving it around yourself might not fix other misplaced files, so I'd recommend just deleting those folders and downloading/unzipping them again

You seem to only have [CP] Stardew Valley Expanded, so you're missing several other components of the mod. SVE comes in a "main" folder with that one and several others, last time I checked at least. (They may also be in the wrong folder somewhere, rather than missing entirely.)

My game is drifting. If I try to move south in the game, I continuously run south even when I'm trying to take just one step. I'm new to mods and I'm not sure exactly which one could be doing it. It was working fine yesterday and today this started.
have you tried in vanilla first to determine whether it could be your gamepad?
not really, no. just open the game folder and run Stardew Valley.exe
or if ur not on windows just rename ur mod folder to something else then start stardew

hey beautiful people, im sorry but low effort help request incoming.....although easy solution. ok i installed smapi, overcame a few issues. the pretty litle black box comand loader comes up when i load up stardew valley in steam. it does it's checks then says, "stardew valley is ready to go" or something similar..... but now what. stardew valley the game doesn't automatically play. am i supposed to be pressing a key or something?

Are you running the SDV Expanded mod? If so then the sewer key quest has changed.

The rusty key for the sewers is obtained under different conditions if you have SVE installed. Check the SVE wiki: https://stardew-valley-expanded.fandom.com/wiki/Stardew_Valley_Expanded_Wiki or ask on the SVE server for specific details.

Rereading your thread and saw the console window pic. Did you download the JSON Assets Mod? It shows as missing, so that could be the issue.

How to you update mods?
ok im back with my low effort request. so when i load stardew valley, smapy runs. finishes loading but takes like 5-10 minutes to launch stardew, i finally made a new game. i couldn't even get to the intro. everything takes like a few minutes to load, wont responsd, have to restart
i have stardew expanded and a couple other small basic mods as well as the required mods but yea
Delete the old version and replace it with the new version. If you have configured them, you may wish to save the config.json; otherwise delete everything and replace.

From my own experience starting a new modded world you're going to have to skip the intro and it will take quite a while to start a new world (but once its been created and saved it doesn't ever take that long again).

How do you launch smapi? As i see you have stardrop, i think you launch smapi from stardrop when steam isn't running on background

Setting launch option for steam isn't needed when launching smapi from stardrop tho as stardrop launch smapi straight from smapi exe, not steam
well i dont think theyre launching smapi from stardrop. they just said steam can't find the path when they write in the launch options

they had just made the folder called that as i guess they use stardrop

that won't help with the launch options problem, but it will make it easier for you if you want to download more mods in the future, so you won't end up with dupes on accident

nah it launches the smapi window, i guess what i mean is when i get into stardew and open a save, thats when it freezes on loading

if your SMAPI console is launching, the log will tell us if there's anything going majorly wrong
if not and it ends on Building maps to resolve normal objects, I'm gonna tell you to click your save file and then leave the room for 10 minutes

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

other than that, you can probably add SpriteMaster (disable resampling if you don't want the graphical changes from it), and then load. It should load fine based on what I'm seeing
Just click your save file, get a drink of water, and come back. With no PyTK and SpriteMaster, it should load much quicker.
