Referring the the mod Better Farm Animal Variety you have two copies of it installed
There is a folder:
BetterFarmAnimalVariety
and a separate folder
Paritee's Better Farm Animal Variety
Neither can load because there are two so delete one of them

That's probably a replacer recolor or a portrait replacer
that just has PNGs
if it's the recolor im pretty sure that's outdated

Is stardew expanded just unplayable at the moment? I’ve seen that one particular mod hasn’t updated since then on nexus. (I keep getting a wall of red text) despite the fact I unzipped all my files and placed them in the right folder

If you're on PC, then there's really not many options for it not loading, and both are user error
- Dependency (or the main mod) is missing
- You're running Strict SMAPI
definitely needing the log to figure it out though

If finding a log is too confusing and you're able to load your save, you can install the In-Game SMAPI Log Uploader to get the log without having to search through the files. you can try to spawn in an item that you know is included in the challenging bundle and i think the cc icon to the side should light up if it's included in a bundle
or if you have ui info suite it should show the cc icon on the info tooltip when you hover over the item

also yeah you can delete those two folders if you want. i think they cause no harm if you already configured cccb to use the ppja bundles, but you don't need them either way

the game doesn't particularly care about subfolders
as in, you can have as many as you want
the real problem comes from path file limit, but unless you have an impossible amount of subfolders or folders with a ton of numbers at the end, you're unlikely to run into that
read some instructions somewhere about nested folders didnt understand it fully so Ive always extracted till 1 level above
so frustrating when this happens
they didn't change the version in the files and now my other mods are shitting the bed saying the file is out of date

only problem is now it invalidates any kissing sprites because the seasonal sprites don't have them

You're having them use seasonal sprites rather than Looking for Love's sprites
Which is... not ideal
What you'd do there is patch the seasonal sprites over the looking for love ones so that they patch in and you get the kissing sprites from LFL (so they'll exist, but change outfits during the kiss)
That's the best you can do without, well, making the kiss sprites yourself
oh shit, so there is a way to make the seasonal sprite the default until you kiss them, in which case it'll turn onto the LFL sprite?
that actually sounds like a great solution, it's much better than looking at a brick. the only problem is i'm very inexperienced when it comes to the modding stuff, so i wouldn't mind help

Uninstalling HD portraits worked to fix it and is running better with just portraiture installed so you were right it was that mod. I left a bug report. Thank you for helping with that!

also, can you open the content.json from Looking for Love in notepad and check whether it says Action: Load or Action: EditImage
because you shouldn't be needing to change anything, except for the load order tbh
I don't remember how Seasonal Cute has the folder named, but the idea is that it's listed below Looking for Love in your mods folder

those are just previews, they don't get loaded in the game at all
i think you can just replace the sca sandy sprites with the updated ones, but as i don't use lfl ive never had to do this

I don't think you'll break your game but you might notice some odd buildings or some things missing in rsv most likely

reinstalling rsv is the only way unless you backed up the files

Looks like you have both Toned Down Stardew and Yri’s Town Overhaul which are likely conflicting (also Yri’s requires enabling things in the config as fad as I can tell)
double click the folder and drag the contents into your mods folder. that's it

Additionally Seasonal Garden Farmhouse seems broken based on Nexus comments and if you remove it you can get rid of PyTK and TMXL which will help prevent other issues

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

I’m fairly confidently having both will cause issues no matter the case (as they both change the same thing), but you can play with the settings and see what happens
@inland shoal You could also try disabling fences in Yri’s and see if that works

I think that looks like it’s as intended they are just dark edges which looks a little high contrast with the ground

Go into the config again and see if that’s an option
I think most of the things are disabled unless you enable them
For the roof color you can play around with those to try and get what you’d like

Try taking out Eemie’s map recolor or disabling it in the config
It will probably sort it out since it’s likely basing off of the base bundles

WearMoreRings is directly responsible for the error, but it looks like it has something to do with Bigger Backpack (which is weird since they are both spacechase - though some of his mods are buggy)

(Probably the extra ring spots and extra backpack spots are overlapping or something)

I think its just an issue with the inventory tiles and how one adds a column and the other adds a row so after the first one goes the second is lost

SVE + RSV + ES is probably too much, I'd pick 2/3 for this playthrough, and pick another combination for another playthrough
I think RSV is the heaviest (not sure about SVE) so going without that one will probably be most efficient, but I could be wrong.
Two things
- I generally don't like leaving the game open for more than a day or two anyways without restarting the process
- Turn off the tourists for RSV and the seasonal changes for SVE.

hello everyone, i'm briany and i've been playing stardew valley on this new farm since last november (that's my second farm, year 2 ~ winter), and in this farm i've been having a trouble about my prices: everything is at low price like basis price, as if i didn't have my artisan profession. for example: my iridium duck feather WITH artisan profession that should cost 300G, only costs 125... even my ancient fruit farm isn't giving me much and idk why that is happening...

idk what to tell you, the current android smapi is buggy and many mods don't work. there's been updates to make it better but i dont know the state of the current android modding situation

I'm trying to mod my game but when I try to run it I keep getting this error
“open-smapi-terminal.command” can’t be opened because open is not allowed to open documents in Terminal.
I'm running it off of Steam on a MacBook Pro Intel with OSX Ventura
The only way I can bypass this is by manually naviagting to that command file and opening it from there (I made an alias of it in my Applications folder so I don't have to do that but it's still annoying)

i did, then i got rid of it reinstalled stardew and just manually installed smapi. no mods completely fresh and the cmd closes when its willing to start the game and nothing happens
Yep, I went to Ridgeside discord and they're also stumped with this situation, since the mod is properly installed and updated 
got chatgpt on my side as an assistant:
The first error is a NullReferenceException in the Ridgeside Village mod. This happens when a part of the code tries to access something that doesn't exist or is null. In this case, it's happening in the "HotelMenu.OnDayStarted" method, which might be related to triggering some event or changing the game state when a new day starts in the Ridgeside Village. It seems that something that this method is trying to access isn't properly initialized or doesn't exist at all.
The following two warnings relate to the Content Patcher mod, which allows mods to make changes to the game's content dynamically. It seems that the Ridgeside Village mod is adding a custom token that fails, possibly due to the earlier NullReferenceException.

Assuming you mean the File that's just named StardewModdingAPI without any extension, nothing happens

Ok, I followed the steps and after running
./StardewModdingAPI
I get the following error:

huh i must say i have no clue what that means
i dont have linux, so I can't help with that part. maybe if you google it, you'll come across something?
....yeah we'd need someone like atra, Pillow, Elizabeth, or someone with a similar background to help with that one
i mean i don't actually use linux so i cant really be much help
make that down to atra or Elizabeth XD
well, in that case i'll jsut reinstall and hope it fixes it somehow
I'm almost 100% sure reinstall cannot fix that error
(Which is why I stated one of our programmer people who drop by might have an idea - that error usually requires something not Stardew related to be fixed - I swear I've seen it before but I have no results in the backsearch so I can't find where it was solved)

Ubuntu 22.04+ uses libssl 3.x instead, but net 5.0 which smapi uses requires libssl 1.x per Atra's words, to someone who had a similar issue
Try installing libssl 1.x in your game directory? That seemed to fix it for that person

I would reinstall SMAPI. If that doesn't work, delete StardewModdingAPI.runtimeconfig.json and make a symlink of that name to StardewValley.runtimeconfig.json

i know some mods need updating and theres 1 or 2 not working but they are old issues x

- you have multiple copies of farm type manager, fruits and veggies, garden village, mizu's flowers and more trees
- delete your garden village completely, and get the content patcher version
actually scrolling down, you have multiple copies of a LOT of mods
Ugh. I had no idea they'd be hidden in other mods.
you also have some xnb mods, and incompatible mods... honestly im not particularly interested in scrolling down anymore
id delete all your mods and start over
seems like you're using the old bfav version which is causing all your problems

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
