Hi guys, I have DaisyNiko earthy recolour and I just started my year 2. This is Spring 1 and for some reason my farm is vanilla colored but outside i have the daisyniko recolor, what coud cause this?

I tried everything there and i believe i am helpless however i discovered i could instantly login to my other world that didnt previously have mods maybe corrupted save? i tried old save and no workie either

Hello, I need some help with a mod. I wanna replace Sam with Marin done by lucasedu11 (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/14084?). I don't want it to be seasonal, I only just want the spring version for both the sprites and the portraits. Now, since I don't need all the files except the spring sprites and portraits, would it work if I just took those files and put them into the proper folder? (i.e Stardew Valley/Content/Characters or Stardew Valley/Content/Portraits) And would I have to convert the .png files to .xnb files? 
And of course, same for the beach, flowerdance and spiritseve portraits and sprites 
nah, xnb is not recommended as it often breaks things. what you could do is take the spring png and overwrite the outfits you dont want, so for example you have summer.png but the image itself is the spring outfits
But I don't use the Seasonal mod, so in that sense the summer, winter, spring and fall .png's wouldn't work, no? 
I just want to have the spring one be the Sam replacer 
So the other files I can just, delete I guess 
In terms of .png to .xnb, in that case, should I just delete the original .xnb file? 
And plop the .png file in there instead? With the same name apart from the file name of course

no, a png wouldnt work but still we do not recommend that players do xnb mods, or anything else to interfere with the content folder
either overwrite the seasonal pngs or delete them and delete the respective code in the content.json of the mod
Hm, but most of the other male to female conversion mods only have .xnb's in them, so does the portrait mod that I use

Conflicts only occur if you have two mod in the "Mods" folder wanting to change the same file, no?
say, a vanilla file's contents is ABCDE
mod A makes it ABCDEF
mod B makes it ABCDEZ
if you just replace the file for both mods, then you will never get the changes from both of them
Okay so, lets say I have mod X for Sam's sprites and mod Y for Sam's portraits, but both mods have portraits and sprites
Wouldn't I just have to drag, drop and replace Sam's sprite with the ones from mod X and the portraits from Y's mod and then not touch the files that I don't want to use? 
if that's what you want the final result to be, and if those changes have separate files, then sure?
Yeah I mean, you can't use two portraits mods for the same thing anyways
Cuz one would always be the active one and the other would be unused
So instead of having an unused mod, I can just choose which mod I want to win by replacing the original game files
That way I can mix mods that change i.e sprites and portraits and choose which mod I want to win in terms of portraits and which mod I want to win in terms of sprites

well, you do you, but you're certainly not gonna get much help in here with running XNB mods directly
there's also the concern of debugging
if you ever get another mod that also replaces Sam's portraits, but you're still using the XNB mod for that, then we have no way of knowing you do so
and none of our debug tools will tell us that
(at least not yet - i planned on making SMAPI detect XNB modifications, but i just don't have the time)

Yeah new project, just make all the sprites and portraits myself and I won't have any issues 
is anyone else having trouble with the game right now? these are the mods i have installed and when i try to load my save file it just says loading and the game stops working. if anyone has any advice/they know why please ping me :)
Sorry this took me so long to reply! The invisible horse issue is in fact multiplayer-related. It is also possible I did not resolve the "infinite horses" MP glitch (due to weird linking to stables, someone mounting/dismounting can create infinite horse copies at times), which might crop up.
This is one of the reasons that the primary version of A&S is stated to me MP-incompatible. I've been informed that the MP version is currently broken in the latest update though, so it might be single-player until I have the time and energy to fix things.
The code is open-source, however, and if you or someone you know/someone who reads this knows how to correct the issue or wishes to attempt to then they are free to and I can answer any questions about the coding- my life has just become a bit too hectic for it right now unfortunately, so I apologize that I can't provide an immediate solution for MP
There's also a private beta version I have working that has reskinning and skin randomization + a few QoL features (no multi-pet or horse) that does work well in MP that I can share if you're interested in it, since it's more current coding and less prone to bugs.
the game takes a while to load when you have smapi, especially with an expansion like sve (also if you have lower end specs). give it a few minutes to wait without clicking anything and see if it works

yes, files uploaded to nexus are scanned for viruses so they are generally nothing to worry about
smapi (the api for modding) is also completely safe
i have like a thousand mods and my laptop is going strong

Farmhands aren't able to join unless they load a singleplayer game first. No idea why.

so i have a pack i made of like...256 mods? aside from long loading when starting/creating a world. works perfectly fine. however trying in multiplayer...it seems things start to have issues. my friend for instance crashes on the cutscene for ridgeside village where the lewis and whats her name are talking at the bus stop. (Extra context: you're getting a CC error despite having no bundle mods - and yes, this includes the pause menu because the CC can be accessed from there. It's far more likely there's a big mod mismatch or your host altered the CC bundles somehow)

There's a long answer about technical stuff but in general, shortest answer is yes, and next shortest answer is "All the same C# mods, content packs can technically be different but there's some content packs that have to be the same"
Yes, you can add mods. I started with 149 mods, and (on the same file) have added up to nearly 350

Just be prepared - depending on the mod, there may be some temporary interesting stuff going on

But if you, say, added Ridgeside? The Bus Stop map would not regenerate, so there would potentially be bushes you'd have to reset terrain features away
(It would still work, just look weird and potentially introduce schedule bugs unless you Reset Terrain Feature'd the bushes away)
Anyway, melvin, your specific error is due to them having stuff like Custom Community Center and you not, so your bundles aren't matching, so the game freaks out when you attempt to open your menu. But given the mod mismatch, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a complete cascade of mod problems (i.e. that's not your only problem)

woof, Vortex. Anyway, there's still errors, because of, in order....
- SAAT is not installed - this breaks most expansion mods
- Some JA/PFM for Boarding house is not working thanks to artisan valley machine goods not being installed - can be safely ignored if you don't want them
- Hisame More Recipes requires MOreFish, MoreFood, FruitsandVeggies, and MoreTrees
- Skill Prestige for Cooking skill is still installed twice (one is Skill Prestige Cooking Skill, the other is Skill Prestige Cooking Adapter)
- Delete Tool Upgrade Delivery Service - it requires FeTK, which will break your mail. Get Mail Services Mod if you need its functionality
the thing is. saat is is installed which is weird. showing when he tried to install it on vortex again was yelling at him he has it installed. so just told him to reisntall it.

Should, yes.
(And multiplayer modding is pretty much the only acceptable reason to send a mod folder over to friends, outside of debugging, since usually it's mod piracy)
This might be the main issue, vortex collections are rather buggy still. I would recommend just sending over a list and letting them download each one individually if they prefer using vortex, and you may still run into some issues

i also have the game in a smaller resolution but make sure it's focused so that way its better(i assume its easier to load that way)
While I'm not an expert in Yri's Project Yellog, I'm guessing this is because of some SVE tilesheet thing here. SVE uses different tilesheets, especially on a house, so there'd be a different mod usually to affect those tilesheets

I mean realistically? If a new file it doesn't screw up, and a different file can have the mods added? It's either the save or you're going to have to remove all mods but error handler and try and load the save, and if that works, mod binary search time to see which one is bugging

if you enable trace messages on the log site it shows that the last message on both logs is 23:04:38 TRACE game gameMode was 'loadingMode (6)', set to 'playingGameMode (3)'.. and there is no indication that the save is corrupted or anything that i can see at least. but if you can create a new save and it works then i guess it's a problem with the save

I have checked repeatedly that I have the requirements, so I dont know what could be missing. I did note that Peaceful end is the author for one of the mods (Solid foundations, which I have installed)
I'm also having Portraiture issues... the mod loaded up perfectly but, the portraits don't change from the vanilla ones, when I went to go check the portrait packs in-game, they appeared blank.

Hello does anyone know why have my saves duplicated on the load screen?
I have an upsetting issue (for me lolol) have made a duplicate of my recent save but it has merged itself onto my original save appearing as one but doubled. I tried deleting the duplicated farm that was just for planning but It has deleted both of those save files. When i try to restore yesterdays back up (10 hours of game lost) the farm does not show up in game at all.
When me and my friend play Co-Op with the Stardew Valley expanded mod, he keeps disconnecting every now and then, anyone know of a fix?

yes yes i promise I have, I have managed to reinstate yesterdays save by overwriting it with a very old existing one and changing the farm names of the folder + the 2 inside files

I think this is my log, I followed the steps on the site I was linked for SMAPI logs and only one with my farmer's name I was trying to create showed up so I entered that in, this is hopefully that log and not a blank/errored page as it couldn't parse the log

But basically my game crashes when I try to start a new game. I haven't tried loading one nor will I.
I can make my farmer, but the moment I go to start, it crashes. I've tried turning on and off mods that could be conflicting (like ones that change similar things) and I have all dependencies. A few I had to unzip myself straight into the mod file but most everything is through Nexus Mod Manager.
But no matter what I try, it still does the same thing
Only other thing I can think of is something that's painstaking and that's going through things one by one, turning on any depencies as I go, but I just wanna play, not trouble shoot all night
I was going for a darker, gothic style, horror like gameplay as I often find myself feeling Stardew can easily turn into a horror game at any moment but it never does, but it doesn't change the fact I often feel uneasy playing it due to some of the music and sound effects playing in the background on rainy days and such and the letters all over the place you eventually start uncovering lol

They do, but it's incomplete for SVE.
Unless I have missed someone, and I'm fairly sure I have, the female version of the Wizard is the only SVE-complete version.

Apparently some of my mods, not many, and none that are "important" to my experience, ended up just going in the mod folder for some reason rather than making a subfolder
So SMAPI is ignoring them, also, I'm thankful SMAPI looks nicer/cleaner and such than my Rimworld logs lmao

Anyone know why I can't run any mods? all I have is SMAPI, most recent version, and when I launch stardew from Vortex, it just sits on a white screen forever. If I click on it, it says it's not responding. I've uninstalled/deleted everything, SMAPI, Vortex, even Stardew through Steam and reinstalled it all, still no luck.

"not responding" is normal, it takes smapi a while to get everything loaded. dont click on it and just let it sit for a while

I don't think 10+ minutes is normal....especially when I used to have 50+ mods that loaded in under 2 a while ago. I got a new computer and tried to do mods again, had the issue with all the ones I had and deleted them one at a time until only SMAPI was left. Runs fine through Vortex without anything, but add SMAPI in and it just sits. I'll try stardrop, Thank you!

Hi can I get someone to look at this log when they have time? Getting a huge error and stuck in the community center, trying to do the first "investigate the rat problem" quest on a new save. I did remove the Cp file of community center reimagined assuming it was the issue but its happened again

Community Center Reimagined doesn't touch bundles. Your error is likely related to bundles, meaning your save is likely screwed and it is most likely the (CP) CommunityCenterBundleOverhaul mod you have

Yeah its just loading the npc mod and frameworks
Joja it still says you only have one mod installed and it also suggests that you update the mod to the newest version. But other than that it say's everything is ok
Find our where your other mods are
make sure they're unzipped first and the drag into the mods folder

you can have mods manually into the mods folder and have nexus work together, but Nexus isn't really suggested to be used for modding SDV

Smapi somehow didn't install correctly and you need to reinstall it, you also need to update SVE. But reinstall smapi first

hi guys! Me and a friend have a collection (biggest mods are SVE, Ridgeside and East Scarp) and started playing now, but we are noticing that some birthdays seems bugged for him, like he doesn't have Morris birthday, in some days he sees duplicated birthdays instead of 1 (for example he sees Vincent Birthdays written twice) and its also missing other birthdays. The mods are the same and same version. Perhaps we are doing something wrong?
the only thing i did that comes in mind is that i removed TMLX map toolkit cause some items were glitching. Could it be that?

Ive just downloaded the adopt n skin mod as well as elleâs dog replacements but iâm having trouble with setting a skin for my dog. ive named the files as it says to on the mod page but everytime i enter the code in it says it canât find a skin with that id. does anyone know what iâve done wrong?

so, i read it, and it seems the problem we are having is with the custom npc type of mod, that being the stardew valley expanded mod and others npc mod. Thing is that i'm reading in their mod page and they are compatible both with multiplayer and with each other. I'll try to ask in their discord, thanks!

the only thing that comes in mind is that we disabled TMXL Toolkit cause it was causing items to glitch, and online we read that even if its disabled it won't cause any problems. For the SVE birthday i just read tha other people (two years ago) were having problem with birthdays, still for others npc with their own mod (like Beatrice) he can't see her birthday
And we just tried that he doesn't have this problem in singleplayer, so it seems a multiplayer related bug

I'm sure this has been asked before but is there something I am doing wrong when opening ModDrop? I get the message of "Error! Cound not load server-side content" -- Is it a new mod that I downloaded that is giving me that? It did that for a few weeks a while back and soon it was working again. Is there another way I could play Stardew Valley with mods that isn't ModDrop or do you recommend that app?

Hey peeps. Had a search in this channel for lag. Going to start with Profiler and Spritemaster.
More specifically though, is there any other recommendation for investigating/fixing multiplayer lag/desync?
It seems I've made a relatively heavy modpack. Visual performance wise it's alright solo, but what keeps happening is my camera gets stuck and my friend desyncs and can't pick up anything/NPCs don't move/etc.

honestly, probably all you're gonna get here is "stop using Vortex"

At least that's how this particular issue always happens
Because it's not giving you more grass it's a framework to have more textures for the grass

And since it's a C# mod it overrides content patcher stuff
remove it, your grass changes should apply.

you have the wrong PyTK, looks like.
I believe the portrait stuff requires the slowdown version (1.23.2)

whenever i open a world in modded or try joining a co-op my smapi will stop responding. ive tried waiting, reinstalled SVE, closing and reopening game (duh) but nothing has worked. vanilla works fine, i can load up any of my vanilla worlds on vanilla stardew but when i try modded it just crashes. any troubleshooters can help?
