Most mods aren't working on android right now. If you want to play modded you best bet is just waiting for Android Smapi to be stable

For my preference, adding more villagers and crops might be overwhelming - raffadax alone is.... A lot of new artisan goods and ridgeside plus east scarp add a lot of people. But there's always more out there! I'm currently looking for some more animals. Cause I wanna!

Soooo question? I have 115 mods running in stardew, there isnt an issue with them working all together, no errors. BUT I'm trying to run Pokefy, and Pokemania together, but a lot of the sprites are getting defaulted back to vanilla? I was wondering, if there is any possibility of having say Pokemania load first, then whatever sprites aren't covered by pokemani, pokefy takes over or is that not possible?

see in your log the errors where it says 2 content packs are trying to load the same thing?
you need to go into the content.json from the mod where you don't want the sprites and remove the entry for that specific animal

How do I reset my content files? My SV always shuts down when I want to play Koop with a friend. I use mods and he dont. I tried nearly everything..
If you want to play vanilla coop with your friend, double click the StardewValley.exe
And create a new non-modded save
Or use a save which you haven't used/saved with mods on

If you open save A with mods x, y, z, then you can think of that save as being affected by x, y, and z in whatever ways they do that. If you remove mods x, y, and z, but don't open save A, then save A is completely untouched, it's safe. If you put the mods back later, then you can safely open save A again.

This is a bit of a simplistic explanation of how mods save data—there are a few that save it in other locations
But for the most part this is how things work

there's no real number because it depends on your computer's capabilities
I have a really good pc it really shouldn’t be an issue. Maybe it’s an issue with the mods themselves
you say it's crashing - does it completely close itself without you doing anything or are you clicking on it and it stops responding?

It's probably that it's not a requirement in the manifest, so it'll load the game, but when it tries to load in the tilesheet it'll crash
Someone else might feel differently, but there's just not enough here for me to work out what if anything is wrong
the mods you have should not be causing you issues unless you have the worst computer known to man. can you explain in detail what your "glitchy gameplay" is?

what is vsync?
it's a graphics setting in the game, iirc it helps with some graphics issues but it can cause more harm than good in some cases
so im confused on how to get a mod that will make my child into a more fleshed out npc
i see theres a bunch of mods including child to npc, babysitter, toddler more like parents, littlenpc, etc

i know for a fact child to npc is quite buggy and not recommended anymore
little npcs is the newer one, meant to be a successor of child2npc but it's still missing some features
toddlers like parents is just aesthetic, it doesn't make the kids more fleshed out or anything

It's only in this case because you likely have a repeating error that spammed too many times and the log parser can't handle it
If you want, you can also try opening the game and close it immediately as soon as you notice it starts spitting out red

good night, hello, I have a question, I downloaded stardew valley pirated but the funny thing is that previously everything worked perfectly, smapi loaded the mods (which were quite a lot, like 20-30 mods) and I had to upgrade my pc from windows 8 to windows 10 and now the game does not load, it takes a long time and does absolutely nothing, I tried reinstalling it but still does not load, now it loads the mods but does not start the game, I do not know what to do, any charitable soul to help me?
i'm sorry to say, but you're going to find very few people willing to troubleshoot a pirated copy
i can't afford to buy the game on steam and i really love the game, that's why i have it pirated 😩

error handler isn't a separate mod, it comes with smapi
if it's missing, means smapi installation went wonky

Short version though whatever you're running alongside smapi you need to stop it.
That or your computer is truly the most potato I have ever seen If nothing else is running and you are loading SMAPI and immediately getting oom

If it’s Delloti’s farmhouse, you should only have to drop the farmhouse png file into the assets folder. The coding should already been done? Unless you made some personal edits

this is what mine looks like for example (ignore the Rooftop Garden stuff--that was a personal edit I made), but I placed the farmhouse tiles inside the assets folder. I did make a personal edit to the tilesheet itself for the bathroom I preferred (which you can see on the righthand side; it looks like you may be trying to use the same or similar bathroom).

Hoping this is the right place to post.
So I'm having a problem with Automate and Quality Artisan Products, for the cheese maker and mayo machine, it creates normal, silver and gold rarity artisan goods from the respective input, but any iridium quality produce that goes through with automate, comes out as normal rarity. Kegs always output normal quality, no matter the quality of input (silver, gold) with automate, the same thing with truffle oil, iridium input, normal output.
Everything that is manually pushed through, comes out with the correct quality.
I've tried re-adding automate, paths, direct chests etc.

it's from 2017 and predates the newer farmhouse tilesheet. You need to merge it (properly, with everything lined up correctly) on to the tilesheet Delloti provides. That is what I did, which is why it works for me.

does the character have no collision with the usual boundaries/objects at all and it happens everywhere, or is it a different issue

as Pillow said - it could be from your browser or antivirus, or any number of other things that would have caused it to pause or stop.

Going crazy trying to fix an error with my save. It shut down without fully saving and now all my fences are 16x32 yellow boxes. I cannot get past them and cannot remove the "fence" with any tool. lI have tried everything I can think of, and everything I could find online. The error is [09:18:30 ERROR Json Assets] LooseSprits\Fence3163 could not be loaded! Weird that sprites is misspelled. Does anyone have ideas to help fix this?

I have tried loading without any fence mods, updated JA, each fence mod, plus Entoarox because that was the error when the original crash happened. nothing has fixed the problem.

I downloaded the mod for Downtown Zuzu and I was wondering if anyone can explain the mine and what I am supposed to do. I also was wondering about the two areas in the mine of the boardinghouse where you find the dinos, people and such...the two caves where one has a huge nest in it...is there something that is supposed to happen?

Boarding House caves, the mobs there are for the materials they drop so you can build certain skeletons (and can also be used for easier pepper rex kills!)

how do you use enhanced player sprites? i have it installed and its running, but i cant change any features of my character. I went to the wizard's to see if i can change, but it only lets me change gender, skin, hair type, acessories, etc .. Does it only work in the new save file selection?
through config. download generic mod config menu if you don't already have it, open the menu and search for the mod there

Alright - so I've got a log from a friend that I need help parsing if possible. Apparently, they're getting red errors spammed on them and it looks like whatever it is I can't parse what it's saying. The key caveat here is it's a multiplayer log without the host's log, and may not be able to get that log any time soon

If you read the description of Garden Village for CP, it says those modded items were moved to GV to declutter the vanilla shops.
If you want to personally change that, just go in the STF folder and go to the Shops.json file. Where it says "RemovePacksFromVanilla" and "RemovePackRecipesFromVanilla", just delete the lines in there. So for example,

the log doesn't have the crash, can you get one that does? usually the missing character error is caused by a mod mismatch, but could be something else i guess. also your or other players' logs wouldn't hurt

Winter grass used to be a soft req bc otherwise the grass off the farm would die in winter and stay dead (ie couldn’t regenerate in spring around town). My guess is now that it’s embedded in the mod, there’s no way to turn it off but I guess you could check the config if you haven’t already

Even if it doesn't directly help your issue immediately, you have issues with your SMAPI and your error handler. There's a reason you're being asked to update it.
Unfortunately, sometimes troubleshooting is a multistep process.
Specifically error handler is what handles you being able to uninstall NPCs

Certain hoppers refuse to load things into the processors in front of them (currently kegs and cheese press) while i have roughly a dozen other hoppers that are working just fine
no automate mods, just normal hoppers and machines
how do you configure steam to launch SMAPI in iTerm instead of the default terminal?

hey @lament prairie this is my current working theory:
Playing SVE and the farm I chose has the ability to get expanded. Just started year 2 and I got this big extra block of land opened up to the right of my farm
my theory is that something happened when that space got added overnight and any hoppers i now place down on the farm past that time where the map was changed no longer want to function, but hoppers placed down before that still do?
just a theory, but any thoughts on it at all?

not to be rude, but this is sort of a "go figure" moment.
Gotta make sure you're launching stardew via smapi, not via steam or anything else. Otherwise the mods won't load
uh paragon, the steps above shows how to launch smapi from steam actually
on top of that, people new to modding stardew don't necessarily realize that smapi opens a console.
MANY other games mod without opening a console at all.

Hey question again >.< I recently reput Stardew valley Expanded and A new farm cave mod into my now 177 mods i use. I'm running into an issue where the Farm cave isn't showing up, and I'm pretty sure it is because it's conflicting with SVE.
I was wondering where the heck I disable the SVE Farm cave so I can use the other one I'm prob blind but I can't seem to find it >.<
Have you checked the settings in GMCM or generic config.json if you're not a fan of convenience ?

note to people on macs looking for this in the future: if you want to launch SMAPI (steam) in iTerm w/ logs, here's a crappy workaround:
( comment out the other lines the if block at if [ "$USE_CURRENT_SHELL" == "false" ]; then)
and replace open -W ... with:

Also disable this, otherwise you'll launch two versions of SMAPI

I'm currently troubleshooting first by taking both ridgeside/sve out first then if it still persists, I'm going to just add one by one mods until i find out which one is conflicting

hey guys, i just launched my modded game like i did a few hours ago. I just added 3 mods (part of the community, better ranching and tractor mod) but when i launched the game, i just stopped without any crash report.
I tried to launch it few more times without the mods, i even uninstalled-reinstalled SMAPI, tried to launch the game with the "MODS" folder empty, but nothing worked
Doas anyone know where this is coming from and how to fix it ?

I think 15,000 would be too many
In particular I'm not convinced that many exist
For a less joking answer: it depends on you, your computer, your tastes, etc
More mods = more load on your computer, some computers get sad when there's too many (and you get impatient as your load times go up)
People here have successfully run about 1000-2000 mods at once, but most people have closer to 50-100 I would say

Hmm, they're most notably used for things like that, but it just refers to any mod that requires you to overwrite what's directly in the game's content folder
hiya, not sure what's going on with my mods, but for some ungodly reason, if I try to use my sword weapon, it freezes my player character and i can't escape out of it asldkjaskl.
i can warp to other locations but the freeze still applies
it doesn't seem to reflect on my smapi log either...
