that depends on the antivirus but they usually have some tab called blocked programs or something similar. but try pillow's instructions first

when the game loads, it gives a X saying invalid content was removed, see SMAPI console for more info

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day. In multiplayer, the game saves after all players click through the prompts at end of day and wake up in the morning.

it says that one or more are out of date, have you tried updating them? It can do more than you think
definitely update the mods, but i'm not sure if the game errors are caused by the mods being out of date

Pathos told me on Nexus to come here with this problem:
I have a rather random problem. Sometimes as I play, go to bed, the game saves, then it completely closes. The log shows no error. It did this in the previous versions, and after the update as well. And as I said, its (seemingly) total random. Sometimes I can play a whole season without this, sometimes first save closes the game. My game is heavily modded btw, but I can't see why it is doing this.

two questions
(1) is there a specific day you cannot advance past
(2) if you run the game through powershell, do you get an error message
(1) no the game saves, then hard crash to desktop. If I restart, the next day loads in as intended, and its possible I won't experience this for a while (this log is from apr. 10, and had no crash since)

Honestly, with this type of hesienbug, unless you can find a rhythm to it, just play through Powershell until the crash happens again

For example, StackOverflows don't hit the crash handler either, and memory corruption won't

I do have lag issues and crash issues between going in and out of buildings, I toned down the visible fish and that seemed to help but that alone isn't the issue

My controllers are not working in the game.
They're enabled and connected via Bluetooth and configured in Steam. Restarting PC hasn't helped. What else can I do? 🫠
(I asked in tech support but they're kinda sleeping rn. I just wanna be able to run around in the game that's open 🙏)

Do you have any zip files inside? They're backups made by SMAPI. You can unzip one of the folders and move the contents to your saves folder to see if that helps. Delete the empty folder after

and no. You're supposed to delete the old saves, UNZIP the backup that you're just dragging over for some reason, then move the unzipped folder over into the appdata saves folder.
Okay. go inside the saves folder on the left. UNZIP the saves from the place on the right, then drag the unzipped folder into Saves, Degenerate
Short version on load times.
Expansions take a long time, so adding more will increase load time.
PyTK vastly inflates load times and should be removed if at all possible. Figure out a way to do without or convert the mod that needs PyTK if possible.
SpriteMaster vastly speeds up load times, but will cause more memory usage.
(SpriteMaster will also change your graphics somewhat to smooth them. If you prefer the old, disable resampling)

My wife and I are having trouble with co-op dropping her from our game. I have been hosting our co-op world and she has been joining via LAN. We are both connected to the router via WiFi. We have several mods loaded (mostly quality of life). During our last gaming session, there were 6 disconnects over 6 hours (with a 3 hour break in the middle). The disconnects can occur at any time of the game day. She often notices villagers "moon walking" before disconnects. Several years ago, we were able to play together in this same manner without disconnects. We are both using Windows.
My first thought was that network lag was causing the issue, so I replaced our gateway with a new modem & router. Since that did not resolve the issue, I connected our two computers directly via Ethernet and creating a bridge on my computer to share Internet to her computer. That reduced the ping time to 0ms, but did not stop the occasional disconnects.
My next attempt at isolating the issue was to disable all mods and play a new world together. This also had disconnects. This seems to indicate that the mods are not at fault. I disabled mods by launching the stardew exe directly (instead of using SMAPI).
I was then out of ideas. I updated some mods with new versions and that seemed to solve the problem (no disconnects during a several-hour gaming session), but she disconnected from the game during our next gaming session.

Did you install this map on an existing save? If so, install reset terrain features, that'll fix it
Just for future reference, if you want to use a custom farm map, it'll look funny in an existing save, you won't face this problem with a fresh save. It's easily fixed with reset terrain features though.

So recently I got back on stardew and I had an old version of smapi. I didn't know how to fix it so I just deleted the smapi itself because I thought that would fix it but it ruined it. I tried uninstalling it, verifying the files and none of that worked. Is there a fix for this?

With the exception of BJSTimeSkipper, all of your mods are in pretty much 70% of modlists (except "WarpsEnglish", but that doesn't load). Given where your log ends, I am pretty much certain your issue is not waiting long enough on load

You will have to wait for the game unless that's not what it's meant to be running on. SpriteMaster may help, but honestly it looks like you're trying to run a bunch of expansions on a potato

Technically sky is running on integrated GPU as well, but on theirs A) it's AMD Radeon, which doesn't appear that old and B ) they have far less mods.

my game loaded in fine and a train was coming through so i went up to the tracks, but my character is frozen
however my game is not frozen?
like there's no loading wheel
my cursor can go around the screen and click on things, but my character won't move and i can't open up any menus

Okay how do I unzip them? They are just in blue folders

For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. For .rar and .7z, you need to install third-party software first, like 7-zip https://7-zip.org/ on Windows (get the x64 version), Keka https://keka.io/ on macOS, PeaZip https://peazip.github.io/ on Linux, or ZArchiver https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver on Android.
The only .zip files I found were in the trash. I think they were deleted with a copy of Stardew. The current ones are unzipped though

No. I downloaded from Nexus. Dragged the files to my mods folder and they're open/unzipped
I deleted the extra copy of the game and the mods went with it, those are still .zip files.

This is what i'm talking about. I took the extras from the game copy I deleted out of the trash when I saw them and tried unzipping. But they already exist in my mod folder.

yeah the path doesn't exist so it's not working. Steam isn't there for some reason.

If you open Steam, right click on Stardew > Properties > Find local files (or something like that), where does it take you?
It took me to a Contents folder. It has a bunch of stuff in there and a Mods folder
the few mods that work are in there!
Aha, so that's the place where you have to put the other mods
Idk how Mac works but you could try to make a shortcut to it, so you can find it more easily
So should i delete the mods folder I have?

Also there is always an error for More Grass. that's actually one that doesn't work and has been in the right place

More Grass itself is fine. It seems that Realistic Wildflowers for More Grass is having some problem with its config. Did you make edits to the config? it sounds like a bracket or comma is missing
Also reinstall your Seasonal flooring as well

so update on this issue from yesterday... it seems the fix i found was only temporary, and i have to toggle the settings every time i enter the beach. i know the problem is with dynamic reflections specifically, but i have no idea what exactly in that mod is causing it.

another update: i don't even have to change the settings, just click "save" and the texture glitch goes away. seems like something isn't getting rendered properly but clicking save "reminds" the mod it needs to do the right textures there? i've got no clue about the actual source of the problem, still
if anyone else uses "GH's peach body type" and has it working, could you let me know how it goes (especially if you had any of the sleeve or skin issues) or maybe send over a working copy? kind of hitting a wall in figuring out this issue with the visual errors and the patch reload doesn't seem to be helping either...

Its only the Grinder too, which is odd
idk anything about dynamic reflections, but it would be good to test only with that mod (and the three base smapi ones) to confirm it's an error on DR's part and send the log to the mod author

Oh it puts items in, and it prompts production, it even works with Automate, but The Grinder can't be picked up. And is gone in the morning.

There's no real easy json way to tell JA "don't use these IDs", it's literally a hardcoded list

like i have one for sve so if i keep the ones only in sve and delete the main charcters can i keep the sve ones

You'll probably have to delete Anime SDV Portraits for those two to work
I don't know why it's not loading the boys though, there's no errors there and I don't know much about HD portraits to check their code either way

i deleted some portraits from sve the ones that wherec copyies to see if that will work if not will do that

You need to unzip em before putting them in the mods folder
