For some reason I got the Anime Portrait mod but it's telling me that it's an outdated version, even though I got the latest one?
I have version 1.5 but it tells me I have 0.5?

DONT GET THE MOD BED TWEAKS. I downloaded it and then realized it was stupid, and when i deleted the entire file, IT OVERWROTE THE VANILLA GAME FILE SO THE BED TAKES UP THE 2x3 TILES TO THE RIGHT OF THE BED STILL! The bed isnt visually still that big, but the tiles are “occupied” and I dont even know if its fixable :/

idk maybe try validating your game files in steam if you use it but also sounds like a problem i haven't quite seen before
I got it to try and fix Sterling sliding left and right in the bed
Bed Tweaks does not do this.
I can personally confirm that, having installed it and used it in several files, including a lot of test files where I used Free Love to make things easier on testing marriage stuff.

Join East Scarp's discord server and find the Always Raining in the Valley Beta that drops PyTK. Probably fixed that issue, especially since spouse room/bed behavior probably got fixed in it

You might wonder why I know to reset there - it's stating you somehow are attempting to get a sound cue outside the bounds of the array on a vanilla location (Island South)
And Island South is 1.5 content. It's likely attempting to get a 1.5 track that you don't have.

I believe I've found potentially a few issues and let me tell you I'm surprised your farmhand never crashed
So first up
Related to your problem, your farmhand does not know Sterling exists

Farmhand has several custom NPCs that you're lucky don't load in - if they had, you'd crash if they existed

I don't know which - I haven't stared at the cursors loosesprites sheet for long enough - but those are loading after Kitty Channels, and those are the only sheets Kitty Channels edits
Any way to set it up so Kitty Channels would load after them?
you'd have to false dependency all of them, or title the folder with a z, and that latter one's risky

When two mods both edit dialogue or images, whichever mod loads last "wins" and is the one you see in the game. In order to change the load order of mods, you can add false dependencies, see here for details: https://stardewmodding.miraheze.org/wiki/Tutorial:_How_to_Add_a_False_Dependency_for_Load_Orders
I wouldn't advise the smapi internal method unless you're confident with json, btw, in case you see that in the load order tutorial
Either way, it's likely only one of the above are breaking it, not multiple, so I'd just test to see which mod is breaking it first.
I'm not confident with anything haha, I'll play around for a bit and if it's not working I'll just remove them one by one to see which one it is

Hi people ! I'm really new in the modding community and generally not very good with computers, and i need help with installing a mod i think. I followed every instruction in the wiki to install SMAPI but for some reason when i try to install the content patcher it tells me that i don't have SMAPI properly installed and i don't understand why. If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. Pillow is right that MSVE only alters SVE stuff, not the regular buildings, which explains the lack of editing for farmhouse and such

Most mods that add something for something like SVE only add the SVE stuff in the expanded version, not the one for base game so they almost always need the base+expanded

Hoo boy. Okay, there's a misunderstanding here I need to clear up.
Minana - Stardew Valley is the base game. You are downloading mods, which are all free. Some mods affect the vanilla game, but they are free, not paid.
You need the mod which modifies the vanilla stuff from Nexus, not just the SVE version
So you aren't buying the game when you download a vanilla mod, you're just downloading something that modifies vanilla
If you'd like an example, I can rep one of my own mods XD But the short version is if something just affects vanilla, that's not something you have to pay for.
So the Medieval Buildings mod has a few versions. You need the one that affects the vanilla buildings and the ones that affect the SVE buildings.
You have the latter, but not the former.
Based on the author of MSVE, I think this is the mod you're looking for. https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4542
you need to download that in addition to the one you already have in your mod folder.

I removed all mods one by one, the one causing it seems to be Seasonal cute characters instead of one of the listed ones.
Seasonal cute characters does modify cursors but there is no setting to turn it off, therefore I should probably try messing with a load order right?

I booted the game about 50 times, I removed 20 mods first and added them back one by one

Once it stopped working I added all the others back and booted it again only without seasonal cute characters

idk why it didn't launch when i configured the client as the wiki said, so i launched the game with the StardewModdingAPI file directly
Your launch options are messed up. Paste what's in it exactly at present.

There is a "cursors_fall/spring/winter/summer" file in SCA but it just seems to be the default with slight changes, it also has the TV channels in it.

The asset and i18n error is just an error that those are part of a mod that got copied directly into Mods folder (doesn't put em inside their main mod folder) and safe to delete. While the error at the end of the log is a save error. I assume that error is caused by you use save anywhere when you do something with fish trawler?
I actually haven't tried the fish trawler yet. I'm thinking of unloading a few mods like Ridgeside so that I don't have to use gray area cheaty mods

The version of SMAPI I have is 3.7.6. 1, with CP 1.4.5, I tried to fix the mod path. But it gave me an error, but since it requires me to unzip a specific file in the Android/data root I had to install a different file opener.

but that is the small shed for reference, but my friend already checked by removing the sheds and it was still the same in the other areas and inside default sheds

MP issues are usually a mismstch between the mod files or a mod that does not work well in MP
i copy pasted the mod list from one computer to the other one, so we should be identical. it is only occasional, loses a day of progress but it is what it is. ill try removing Pytk nd see if that works! thanks for the help

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).
Yeah, there's actually a decent chance that at least some of those mods have the SMAPI 4 update currently in alpha - and it relies upon SMAPI 4 features somewhere

@warm vigil after you upgrade the house, a children's room appears with a crib and beds that you need to use Robin (who builds things for you) to remove.

i'm trying to transfer my saves to a new computer and noticed that the farm i've been playing lately didn't have the same progress i was at when i last played and when i checked the save backup in the mod files it doesn't have a save for the most recent point i've played. i've also gotten some errors with the mods i just added and i'm not sure if that might have anything to do with it

okay so i realized i needed to transfer the saves in the stardew folder and not just the ones in the mod folder. i have two saves already in the folder on my new computer from when i loaded up the game last night and today, so i guess i need to know, do i delete those saves when i go to add the old saves or do i keep them?

Thank you guys for the help today. I feel like I have rebuilt the universe with how many updates to mods I've had to find and new mods to add to fix the other ones. I've given more patch notes to my stardew game than God gave to earth

I would just like to state that mobile SMAPI is by ZaneYork. PC SMAPI should work just fine for PC people, so I'm confused as to why you say Pathos needs to "work on it"

Hey are there any fixes to people not being able to connect to my farm via LAN?
Don't bother doing it... It's pretty obvious that the only mods that will work are those that replace the Base Game assets like Maps, Tilesheets (or recolors), npc skins, etc through Content Patcher.
Could be a firewall problem or not having the same versions of mods. Either way, LAN is mostly a problem of network configuration and not the game itself.

The issue I have is Robin took the gold and materials for a coop but when I came back to my farm (Grandpa's farm from mod), no building-in-progress was there, and Robin didn't come to work on the coop the next day

Hi, I'm only playing in multiplayer and we can't access the secret woods, even when I'm alone.

I have mods like automate in my modded game, everything worked fine so far but after the last day the following happend:
My Chest and 2 wormbin which where above the chest just disappeared
or is there any way to troubleshoot this?
is this on your farm or Cindersap forest?

yeah I suspect an NPC walked into your chest and worm bins and destroyed them

can anyone please help me with modding on android 13? followed git guide, phone is rooted etc smapi doesnt have a compat file for 1.4.5.148 and up but on install section of smapi it says 148 or later required
So automate on mobile stopped working. Then started. Then stopped. I installed a mod manager to peek at the details and saw this has an Interval thing
Which may explain the stopping.
The new problem is I am unable to scroll through the automate menu to make selections or move the Interval slider. Which might be a deeper problem that will have to wait.

SMAPI keeps telling me it's enabled compatibility mode for PyTK 1.23.*, but only PyTK Lite (not the full version) seems to have a v1.24.
PyTK author already update mods that needs PyTK to no longer needs PyTK (exception portraiture that still needs PyTK lite) so it is safe to delete PyTK. Unless you haven't update mods that need PyTK
I think the Lite version is also incompatible with the new optimizations anyway?

(To Me) it looks like something is going on with the RAM in your system. What "RAM Check" did you perform?
Also how much RAM do you have in your system? + How many mods are you running?
How i solve it?
13 mods and I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic, And have 16 Gigs of RAM and have nothing else running when I try to open the game

Hi all! I apologize if this is a dumb question but is it possible to play Stardew with mods on Xbox? My husband and I play on PC but our friends who only play on Xbox want to start a farm together. They're pretty insistent on wanting to play with mods but I didn't think it was possible?
It isn't possible as far as I know
Download cx file explorer, go to the com.zane folder under downloads, click on it, you should see a folder called file, select it, copy it and then paste it in the com.zane folder that is under Android/data
That's what fixed it for me
mine doesn't have com.zane in adroind/data and I can't create it

Generic Mod Config Menu (or GMCM https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098) adds the option to edit some, but not all, mod configs from either the title screen or the options page in a save. It also has a special screen to edit keybinds for all mods with GMCM integration.
The presence of the gear it adds to the title screen is not a method for checking whether mods are installed, only whether GMCM is installed.

Anyone who uses body mods able to help? Usually the body preset works perfectly but as soon as I change the clothes/edit with Get Glam, my farmer will have the regular brown shoes on instead of what came with the body mod/no shoes. (This also happened with 2 different body mods, not just one.)
