If there's no mod-related errors, any chance this could be a vanilla issue of some kind?
All else seems fine except that pressing ok or hitting enter doesn't advance the screen

You didn't install its requirements/dependencies
Check the modpage, it has a list of them under requirements (not under mods requiring this file, requirements)

If I want to stop a modded animal from giving birth due to an animal name screen issue (That it wont let me past an otherwise perfectly functional name screen), how do I do that? Would I remove Animal Husbandry since that's how I impregnated the animal? Removing the mod the animal is from didn't help and, well, basically if I can't fix this the entire save is fucked
I can tell you that removing Animal Husbandry will also not work.
I would think removing the BFAV pack the animal came from w/o first selling the animal would cause more problems :<

I used A&S to get ride of buggy animals before using it's console Commands.
And the Consol that SMAPI brings up anytime you start a modded session. Normally a black box that pops up right before the game loads
First off, in the black box, you would run the following command:
list_creatures [creature category]
With [creature category] being replaced by all, animal, pet, horse, coop, barn, chicken, or cow
So if you wanted to look at all animals you have that are in Barns, it would look like
list_creatures barn
If you type help it will list all avail commands as well for any mods/smapi FYI

Then you will look for the creature you are wanting (in this case, the modded creature that was pregnant) you'd do the following:
sell [creature ID]
With the creature id that was given under its name/type.

Though it is strange you were able to get a modded creature impregnanted with Animal Husbandry, as it normally only affects Vanilla creatures, unless it was intentional added to it
I think if the BFAV animals add the data thru AHM's customanimals.json it can work

Otherwise you may have to delete it from your savefile. The error in the log might help give the info to find it in save too

Which is funny, because BO says it is made to go along with AHM.
I think it's actual issue is with BFAV. Since most BFAV animals don't have the files for everything to work with BO

Aasuming you get the game legally through steam, open steam library, right click sdv, browse local file. You should find your game folder and that's where Mods folder is

just.. ignore it. the animals are there. it might've stopped strays from showing up or i've been unlucky. Haven't been playing as much recently so it's hard to tell.

but I think it started after I foolishly loaded a co-op with myself and did not realize AnS is incompatible w MP. Could be a coincidence but that's when I recall that error showing up. (after that incident)

Did notice the log yells about "Critter Meat" quite a few times before the error is thrown out though.
hmm.. that's a BFAV thing I'm pretty sure. Some of Fresh Meat will work as animal drops when used w AHM but some meats haven't been added yet i think. I tried to match meats w whatever type of animal i have

Like for Content Patcher 1.28.4, look inside of it. The take Content Patcher out and put it directly in the Mods folder.
i recommend reading this to make sure you're doing the whole process correctly
once you get it right it's easy peasy

Now put the Content Patcher folder into the Mods folder, so it is with the other ones.

If I completed a quest using CJB's cheat mod, and it didn't trigger the correct next quest, is there a way that I can repeat or like... uncomplete that quest so that I can go back and do it properly?

hey guys, I'm trying to load up lnh's sky farm and all that's showing up is the fences

it seems to be an issue with the tilesheet itself. It's looking for panorama.png

She added the panorama tilesheet on her last update so the mod needs that newer version
probably not the place to say this but just saying i finally figured out the issue with my game and it seems to be good now, i had to switch to the lite version of pytk and my game runs very smoothly now
Editing this post to be a little more informative since alot of people have the Disconnecting Clients Issue like I did.
Cause:
The reason it happens in my experience is because when you connect to a host via the Invite code or steam, that players connection is routed through GOG's poland servers.
So even if the player is right next to you, every action they do has to route through poland first then to you as the host and back. If their from the USA then your in for a bad time...
In my case the main server was 77.79.249.151 so if your players are having a bad time have them try pinging that IP, anything over 90ms will give them issues.
Solution:
The fix for this is having them connect directly via your IP. There is 3 ways of doing it.
1.) Set port forwarding on your router to forward port 24642 to your computers private IP. (You can look up the wikihow on that, its different for everyone)They will then just have to press Join LAN game and enter your/The hosts Public IP (Just google Whats my IP) Just note with your/hosts public IP players can use that to DDOS the host, if you want to avoid this i would look into a service like noip.com or pick another method below.
2.) Hamachi, basically the host and all clients need to install Hamachi and they will then connect to your Hamachi IP. You can look up guides on this but its the same concept as #1 above, they are just connecting to your Hamachi IP rather then your public IP. No port forwarding needed. There is other apps that can do this too like Evolv3.gg but i have not personally tested them, but they should work in theory.
3.) A dedicated server, you can google "stardew server" and buy a dedicated server, you can even often transfer your save to them, just make sure they support connecting via IP address. Also make sure to select a Server Location thats in the middle of everyone geographically.
FAQ:
Q: Does the hosts geographical location matter?
A: No it does not, if your far away from your players they may still have issues but they will very likely have alot less issues!
Q: I live near poland, could this still be the issue?
A: It can yes, even if both the host and the clients are near poland you could still have a bad route to GOGs poland servers. Its less likely but still quite possible. You may want to try using a VPN first but i would still try the options above if that does not help.

i just reinstalled and it worked
I just went to bed and the game would say saving for eternity, I finally checked smapi and realized it's because I didn't have enough space on my disk free. I just freed up some space, is there a way to get smapi to try again, or will I have to play the day over (I did quite a bit)

Also... you didn't have enough space free? Did you have a completely full hard drive? 
I'm not even going to try and explain it, I am not a computer person and I have two drives a C drive and a D drive, I have no sense of what should go on either, so I filled up one, then started using the other. Stardew happens to be on the one that's a lot smaller and filled up

I've tried 4 time but the log parser can't handle the log. It's probably just too big

(fair warning: about seven mods currently work on 1.6, and they're all by Pathos)

Good evening. I have an issue regarding the menu button or the menu icon. The menu icon isn't showing up in my game anymore and when I press the menu button on my controller, it just stutters the game momentarily and does nothing.
I made sure none of the mods I have (Ridgeside + a few portrait mods) were the cause and I doubt they were because I've been playing the game as normal for 18 hours.
I'm not exactly sure what happened, if it's a glitch on my part but before it occurred, I was pressing the planting button rapidly to sow my autumn crops. Then things went bad.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

yeah I dont think I tampered with any of June's portraits or sprites. Is he the pianist? Fall 1 came in and all I know is a pianist arrived somewhere.

If you reinstall Ridgeside, the portraits should come back.
(That means delete all of Ridgeside, redownload it from Nexus, then unzip to your mods folder)
The anime mod appears to have a wrong version number, so that's the only mod you need to update

What's the difference between "PyTK - Platonymous Toolkit" and "PyTk Lite"?
PyTK: Old, kills load times, generally sucks now as it isn't used for any current mods
PyTK Lite: Only has the scaling function for portraits, used because some mods require PyTK that don't need to use anything but the scaling functions

I want to ask again just in case there's some other information out there. I completed a quest using CJB's cheat menu. But that quest was a subquest of something else, and the proper next steps aren't triggering.
What I'm really looking for is a way to "uncomplete" that quest, and retrigger it. I tried using the event repeater, but I think the quest itself is still marked as complete somewhere, and I want to clear that. Any advice?
I'm not sure if it's possible, but can you find the quest in the files and change it back to completed false or set it back from complete to incomplete? I've never had to look for a quest in the files like that, sorry if it's a dumb answer

hii, i'm new to stardew and i was downloading some mods through nexus but they are not showing up in game. my smapi says it was downloaded and when i start stardew it says "[SMAPI] Mods loaded and ready!" and stardew says "Stardew Valley 1.5.6 - running SMAPI 3.18.2 with 3 mods" so i'm not entirely sure why they're not showing up... any help would be appreciated!

yah i was wondering the same but i followed a tutorial which said to go to stardew valley > contents > macos then make an alias of mac os called mods and put it there

putting things into the alias puts them wherever the alias leads to

But there should also be a folder named "Mods"
You might have to scroll a bit to find it

Sorry for wasting your time and I appreciate the help, but the reason I asked such a weirdly specific question was because I assumed portraiture's functionality was very specific and would require a replacement image of the exact same size as the original. But I just dropped luci in the portraiture folder and renamed it Kent and it worked.
It's been very convenient. I'm currently modding a personal usage game for me and a few friends and I'm trying to give all the characters refreshed fantasy-esque sprites and portraits, and not a lot of replacers like that exist for every character. Specifically sprites have been challenging. I've been jury-rigging mods and editing json files to frankenstein stuff together and so far it's working but it is a strange little pet project for today. I don't suppose you know of anything like portraiture that would make changing sprites out easier?
nope, sprites generally are much more fixed in size
what i would do it try finding a CP mod that changes sprites and then swap out the pngs, it's not too hard to write one yourself either
you'll need a bit of json experience, but taking a look at a mod that changes all the npcs like Seasonal Cute Characters or similar might help to see what's up
That's basically what I've been doing but sometimes I break a file so bad that I don't know what I did and what I deleted wrong

Has anyone here experienced a glitch with Furnaces having overlapping textures? I just noticed that 2-3 furnace textures are all overlapping and it was bothering me a little, I'm not dying for a fix or anything because I sort of kind of know what's causing it and am working on fixing it by doing some file editing, but I'd like to know if anyone else had a problem with this, especially those who use Medieval Craftables mod and/or a modpack which uses SVE

So i was using the Marry Morris mod and Free Love mod at the same time, I gave Morris a pendant while I was already married, the game crashed at the end of the day and now every time I try to repeat the day, this happens
