I've seen that Gil error before. Pretty sure it was XNB issues, but could also be bugged save.

I was afraid of that. Custom Furniture is currently broken with the latest update, and some of the furniture will cause you to freeze/crash if you interact with it after placing it. Or at least, that's my experience at the moment, and what lots of people are reporting on the mod page.
confirmed pytk was adding almost 2 minutes to load times
I believe that if you uninstall the mod, the furniture will just disappear. That's what happened when I tried on a test save. I've simply left the CF furniture down that I placed though, because I'm not too unhappy with the placement, so I haven't tried it on my main save.

So I think one of my mods is... doing something. But I dont know which. I was standing there and my charcoal kilns started on their own. I checked quickly just before they started, and then after, and the coal increased and my wood decreased. What do you need to know?

I do I just discovered. I dont remember WHY I downloaded it though. I dont think I wanted 'Gee I want to automate wood kilns" So one of my other mods must use it
(also how to turn it off. I wondered where all my wood is going!)
You may of even just gotten it by accident thinking it was required because a lot of mods add support for it. It's a good mod but confusing when you forget about it.
I can't remember if it has ways to disable it on individual tiles or something but whats happening is any machines, chest, or certain floor paths that are connected are connecting your chest to your kiln and automatically inputting wood for coal.
Check the nexus page for controls/guide maybe
Maybe... It says if the chest is next to the kiln, but the kilns and such are standing on their own
It works on just about anything that does input/output btw. my first time was kilns too but I've also accidentally placed seed makers next to plant chests and crystalariums next to gem chests

The thats being used as a "cable" to connect them. you can change what types of pathway are valid "cables" in the settings

Nope, just go into the ingame mod settings iirc and there should be a dropdown menu to select it

that makes it easy. I havent had to actually modify games since... well, dos. Where you opened a TXT file and changed words x.x and you can easily mess up

Also you can press U while not in any menus to see how your machines are being connected by the automate mod

My game doesnt crash but red text makes me nervous

they have F2F compat built in so I don't really care abt them
but Dollmaker is strange
got all dependencies
well from my understanding, the red text is basically saying that it cant find the ingredients for the flower drinks and some of the plushies recipes
you maybe be missing some dependancies for them
those essentially gets skipped and will not be added into the game
flower drinks are ok cause I don't really use F2F
But Dollmaker has all the stuff from the modpage likie

Hi guys, maybe someone here can help me. I have started a save with a large number of mods, and I am adjusting things to make them work properly. Some maps are bugging, and I need to identify the mods to know where the problems are, and look for the proper fixes, or if there are none, fix them myself. The question is: does anyone know which mod gives access to the forbidden side of the beach in an entrance below the museum? The maps are overlapping and one of the exits that gives access to East Scarp is locked, I already did some tests activating and deactivating mods but I'm having trouble finding it. Thank you if someone knows!

Smapi path flfile is your game folder path
You need to set it, then other path will be set automatically

Hi guys I’m new to modding! I managed to successfully install some mods last night and everything is running smoothly but I’m having a couple of issues. Firstly for some reason my pet cat is missing from my game. I ran the game for the first time with a cat replacement mod and the modded cats showed up on the character creation screen, but when I started the game the cat was nowhere to be found. I have deleted the mod from my Mods folder and my pet is still missing. The other issue is that when I change shoes, the appearance remains the same (brown boots) making it look like I’m wearing the same shoes all the time. Does anyone know why this might be? Thank you 🙏🏻

You might have to wait till Elizabeth is free. Since my knowledge of Stardrop and Smapi file path is the same one you use to launch the game.

It does. I took a picture for friends a while ago and unless it's WaFFLE that changed the grass, Earthy should change vanilla grass

well, at this point Noelle I'd try a mod binary search because your log is unhelpful in determining what's editing the grass

Remove half your mods, load game up, see if grass is still vanilla.

out of curiosity before that, would the more grass mod happen to be the confliction?

I believe the setting for vanilla grass defaults to 0% and I wonder if that’s where the issue is coming in because you don’t have any packs but the grass gotta come from somewhere—basically I wonder if it may be accidentally telling DaisyNiko’s recolor to basically…not show? (Bc her recolor targets the terrains grass sheet)

the log doesn't... fix your game, it just shows you what's going on.
delete them, prefix them with a ., disable it in your mod manager if applicable

Assuming you're talking about deleting the entire mods folder, I suppose
But anyway. It means that the mod you removed, if singular, is not the texture mod in question
The analogy I'd use would be the mod is the batteries that give the change "juice". Without it, it's like you took out the batteries, and therefore it cannot work the way you describe without a separate set of batteries giving it charge
Mods do not reappear after deleting in the mod folder.
That...shouldn't work the way you say it did (the mod wouldn't load with two copies), but w/e I guess

i basically had a folder for inactive mods that i might want to use again
so when i removed the mod
i must have copied the inactive mods folder

If that doesn't work you'll probably want to try reverting the save by a day

You should see two files with an _old suffix in the name; if not, ask for help instead!
Back up your save folder just in case.
Delete SaveGameInfo and the file that looks like FarmName_123456789.
Remove the _old suffix from SaveGameInfo_old and the file that looks like FarmName_123456789_old.

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day. In multiplayer, the game saves after all players click through the prompts at end of day and wake up in the morning.

ok I did a fresh install of smapi and it seems to have resolved the issue and the error handler is now working

anyone know of a mod that visually screws up Pam's new house, but only after entering and exiting it? There's nothing in the SMAPI log, it's a purely visual glitch. When I open the game through vortex with smapi installed, nothing actually changes even though the terminal says that it has loaded all the mods. Anyone know how to fix this?
How can I use the CJB spawner? The mod’s description just said it’s not in the fashion sense mirror but obtained thru JA, that’s it.
If you launch the game, does smapi window showed up before the game window? If not, that's why no ErrorLogs folder found

If smapi said all mods are loaded, that's good. If you don't have mods that change UI, you won't see anything changed until you go into a save and something is different from vanilla
So... switched from vortex to stardrop.
Used LNH's expandable farm.
Opening the game with stardrop, aaand the modded expandable map is no longer applied.
Any suggestions?
- tried copy + pasting the same LNH folder, as well as the FTM folder; neither worked

reinstall smapi should add 3 mods that comes with smapi. so my guess is the path is different when you install smapi
also try to reinstall all lnh stuff from scratch as in the log showed error for lnh

Mod launchers have never detected it, as far as I'm aware; I've used moddrop, vortex, and now stardrop

Alternate textures reskins furniture while also allowing you to use both the original and new ones. SolidFoundations can add new furniture probably. Don't know if either of those rely on spacecore since i use spacecore but not pytk

Guys I’m having a problem with my game. It seems a custom furniture mod is messing up my game because I’m supposed to buy the new furniture from Robin, but when I buy it and it goes to my inventory, it’s unclickable and I can’t place it or even throw it away in the trash can. Hello! I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help with this issue or not. I'm currently playing a modded coop with 4 other people, we haven't had any issues until now. 2 people keep waking up in the main house bed unable to move instead of their own beds. We wait until 2am and they do not pass out. We have updated everything but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Instead of Spring Ridgeside Forage, I randomly pick up and only see cakes, fish, moose statues etc. How do I fix this? I have an item in my inventory that's crashing the game. Uninstalling, reinstalling, or quickly trying to delete does not work. Produces the dreaded red wall when holding or hovering over it in inventory. Getting the SMAPI log now.

Hey, I need some help. I was wanting to get a Bug Meat/Bug Steak pond using Water Grubs from SVE, but for some reason, it seems limited to 2 fish in the pond?
From the Wiki, it says it should have a starting Cap of 3 (with their quest being then), and using Look Up Anything, it for some reason says the Cap Quest is at 4?
I know MARGO installed, but I wouldn't think it would affect just this one fish (that I know of)...

I just emptied the Pond and put one in in order to get a 3rd Iridium leveled one.
okay.... but how is that relevant to getting a new fishing pond quest?
if you empty it out using the one option on the pond rather than fishing it out, it resets it
Also, Cap Quest (as shown by LYA) showed it is at 4 total that the Quest is available.
Also, I had the pond sitting full (2) for a whole Season with no Quest Promts. I already managed to get my Blobfish to 12 at this point.
And I did fish them out.
Assuming you fully emptied the pond then the pond probably reset either way. If you only took advantage if that 'quality fish pond' mods thing where it empties out the lower quality fish first, and you kept at least one fish in while adding your iridium ones then the progress wouldn't reset
But as for your actual problem. It could be just be a conflict(unlikely) or a mistake from one of the responsible mods. Since you said you already tried waiting for the quest while keeping it at your max capacity for several days

Margo is responsible for the fish mechanics, you could check if it has any relevant settings but It feels like a code mistake rather than a bug
Perhaps you have the birthdays wrong. There is also a "custom gift dialogue utility" mod and a dialogue mod. Maybe one of the two is in your game? One of the mail mods includes options that affect how people react to gifts too

no i looked and i got Harvey coffee on his birthday and he said that and i got 2 hearts with him (started with 0) also on a note, does anyone sometimes get a bug where you go to your house for bed and you get to the middle of your house with your spouse staring at you and the game wont load? i just restarted the game or else i would have taken a screen shot, this soft lock happened twice for me

Ok, this is weird, but apparently the "turn it off and on again" fixed the issue...
I turned off the Pond setting for MARGO, and reenabled it, and now it is showing the currect quest amount
also sometimes i get an event when i go into town, cuz the load screen takes a bit longer so i think there will be an event but when i get to town i am off my horse witch it usually means some sort of event happened, but nothing happens

hey guys so, I'm having a bit of an issue with SMAPI. I've got the latest version of 3.18.2. I've managed to launch it twice so far with mods with no problems, but now, even after reinstalling both stardew valley on steam, and SMAPI. I keep getting stuck with it not responding. Even with no mods it just sits like this the whole time doing nothing. I am unable to reach even the Title Screen. Any help would be appreciated~! Included is a screenshot of the game window and the SMAPI window. I am extremely confused and none of the trouble shooting stuff I am using help. I'm using Windows too if that helps

Lemurkat suggested I ask here. I've only ever seen a crash tied to Component:Outdoors (or Component:Landscape) when I've had event repeater in the load order, which I don't at the moment. Splitscreen game. Crash starts at 19:16:14. Any help would be super appreciated.

hello! I have this message popping up while playing. the only thing it seems to affect so far is certain Stardew Valley Expanded items- the item data exists but the item itself is invisible

Just here for the same reason as probably many others. Waiting on Smapi 1.5.6 support on android. That said, if i downgrade my android build back to the older 1.5.0 (or was it older than that?) on android, would i have no issue using smapi and mods until its upgraded to support 1.5.6?

most people who do that seem to end up having issues with smapi android due to signing issues
and you'd still need to get mods specifically for that version of the game
idk if that's because most of the people who show up here with android 1.4 have pirated copies, or if there's something else
one person was insistent that they didn't pirate so you might have problems
(i mean, there's no other way of getting that version of the game now)

im good found my repo of the game. I backup all versions and mods i use.
but i updated my pytk why is there a problem..
I just, i wanted to make sure my android version would work with the switch version, and pc version but it wont once i upgrade on switch as the save file gets upgraded, and then it locks up and causes issues
pytk is dead! it has been killed! it is not needed anymore

so i CAN downgrade to work on android (save structure gets mucked up though gotta work off a identical save lessor or equal to current build im using on android OR patch the save to remove whats been changed in newer builds back to current build saves ment for) console side on switch, it auto upgrades the save, and then only works cross save with steam/gog CURRENT builds. Works fine on pc gog and steam just not android. Nutttss gotta wait on the next update on smapi then.

using a pytk alternative for portraits is better. pytk slows down your game a ton

I dont understand that wording.... you mean if i updated to 1.5.6 and updated my save data, to downgrade to 1.4?
On Steam, there are ways to "roll back" the version of a game (depotdownloader or something?), but on mobile I am not sure if these ways exist
I found if i stripped data out of the 1.5.6 save to make it 1:1 of my android save, it works, assuming nothing has changed as far as the structure goes, but if its too much then it causes save corruption.

Mobile has updated for most people to 1.5, there's a few people who may have been able to stop it from updating

Oh then its just fine, just was wondering as i know alot of the mods i use on gog and steam i use on android. Just bites because now i cant have truly mobile gameplay. That suspend save feature in the android build is amazing, needs to be on console and pc editions too
Switch is borderline impossible, as are other proprietary consoles. Steam Deck is possible but it's basically a Linux omputer.

PC: 1.5.6, can mod with the current SMAPI build
Android: 1.5, does not have corresponding SMAPI, cannot mod it at present. Downgrading to 1.4 should be impossible without it being pirated at present.
Uh... switch is possible, but only on the v1 tegra or you soddered the right chip on the newer models. Im not gonna go indepth since that opens up discussion about piracy. But it is doable. Safely and unsafely.

i think its more about freedom. i know i can do like a million things with my switch, and add in features i wanted when nintendo doesnt on my vnand vs the sysnand with out modifications. its just you lose the functionality of legitimately playing on verified servers. its a headache. I only see it as a problem when folks start illegally pirating realistically

Took me a few minutes, no im thinking of androids downgrade feature but that depends on which build of android. and then downgrading from in the apps menu to not lose the save data (outside of dev mode on android) 12 and below

Starks, that isn't possible. I just checked your log (thanks, Arcane) and it never loaded any portraits
it should at least register a few. Baechu's should come with a content.json that at least attempts editing the portraits
Please load in the game, then don't quit out of the game but get the log
Oh, and extra evidence: if you had loaded in, you would have had at least one mention of Ridgeside portraits being loaded
Since content patcher has to load modded NPC stuff and that'd show up in the trace

Like I'm not even going to mince words. Doing that will break your game 99% of the time, and the 1% is always pretty much ready to screw ya at a moment's notice

Load your save, please. The log you gave shows you very much did not load your save, not just due to the trace but because you have tokens not ready everywhere

XNBs can be used if they're used as the base of a content patcher mod with editdata, but wholesale replacing is bad. If you replaced, say, Data/Weapons with 1.4 data, then the second you get a golden scythe your game crashes as that's not part of 1.4's data

i'm starting to think SMAPI's Error Handler should come with a list of original XNB file hashes and log a warning if any mismatch (so we know that person is using XNB mods)
