Alright. Thank you for looking at this for me, I really appreciate it!
It shouldn't be my retexture. At least I hope not. I swapped everything over to editdata and editimage, and tested it on a test save with no other mods active, and it worked. although now I'm doubting myself, maybe I'll double check that.

Yeah. The old one is bugged because it was saved as bug
I had to recheck because once I saw yours was editing properly and was the only thing editing data weapons, one of two things was happening
one, somehow your patch was bugged, which was unlikely
two, the item was bugged
which is always just "spawn the correct one and get that error item out of here" XD

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).
I'm assuming you installed Ridgeside on a current file?

Yeah, this is an occasional consequence of adding new expansion mods on current files. You will need Reset Terrain Features to get rid of them
Install that mod (the correct version mind you, which is either the unofficial update one or the Net 5.0 one), follow the instructions, and use it on the Bus Stop map
As long as it's the correctly updated one then it should work immediately!
How do I get my data from my PC to my phone? Like I played on PC for a while and got pretty far into it but how do I transfer that to my phone? And do I keep having to transfer my data from my phone to PC or phone to PC whenever I get far into the game? If so how do I fix this issue so it doesn’t become a big hassle?

I never touched the mod, i just used it for testing my fish mod , but i noticed the mod in some spots stop working (does not display the fish tables upper left)

i installed stardew via steam and installed smapi for my mods my game was working fine with mods i downsized my game with the windows key and it made my game freeze up i closed my game and tried re opening my game and it wouldnt load up the smapi screen would come up but the game would never load so i took out the mods and still nothing so i uninstalled stardew and re installed i uninstalled smapi and re installed with no mods i opened the game and it worked so i closed it and added back the 13 mods that were working before and now my game will not load up i took the mods back out and it still will not load so if anyone has any ideas please lol

Honestly I think I've seen a fix for this but I can't quite recall it exactly, something about right slicking SDV and disabling something from steam to have it return to the normal window size. 
Haven't a clue. Can you clear your launch options and see if it runs vanilla fine?

A couple here has mods over 1k, I think that should be fine lol.
If the loading becomes unbearable, you can try SpriteMaster.

@hoary bane cleared the launch optinos and just tried opening SDV and it never opened uninstalled the game re installed and we are waiting to see if it will open

Having a corrupt save will not stop the game from loading up until atleast the title screen.

i don't have any weapons rebalance mods installed except for MARGO but i do have the weapons module in that turned off

Quick question, my SO is trying to share her screen on Discord with modded Stardew but it's always stuck on the first frame... we've tried it with/without injected DLL and sharing screen/application but it doesn't work either way, any ideas?

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

you need to install this version
To begin with, current Smapi doesn't work with the latest mobile version.
And what does this mean?
Unless you've got a pirated copy?
they might not updating their sdv yet. if they use pirated copy, smapi can't be installed on android
Oh not really, I've seen a handful of people who installed it with their copy.
Also, the possibility of SDV not updating on it's own from the Playstore is very low.

so even if we manage to fix it, they're still screwed?

Yeah I keep looking over your mods and like... basically none should cause it? Unless it's the ones I'm not usually aware of, like Transparency Settings (Esca mod so should be fine), MyKeySuppressor, Mini Bars, Island Gatherers (Peace, unlikely), drop it!, Inches to Metric System, or AbilitiesExperienceBars (which is back in it). Everything else looks.... pretty normal?
Like I've seen all of these so often and no other mod causes that

Having issues with IF2R and Ace's Expanded Greenhouses playing nicely together. IF2R is putting its greenhouse layout on top of Ace's. How do I fix this? I've tried a couple things and nothing has worked.

Can someone help me out? I am having a bit of an issue with the Infinity Band from MARGO. I can seem to actually put any gems on it in the Forge?
Like, if I put a Weapon or the Infinity Band in the Left Slot, I can't do anything.
But if I put a Gem in the Right slot, it will at least allow me to do a Weapon in to modify.

I was in the abigail graveyard sword cutscene when dynamic night time just started spamming erros like mad. Pierre's dialogue box got stuck empty and I had to close the game because I couldn't skip the cutscene.

My log file was essentially 12MB because dynamic night time was just spamming and I really didn't want to close the game.

I seem to have run into a weird road block as I am trying to follow the directions to create a second group of mods for my multiplayer set up
I just rename my mods folder
I have like 10 folders for mods each named Mods (Farm name) or whatever
And I rename them to Mods when I want to use them

So i got like 500 mods and smapi is very clean so no red errors really that affect anything
Got a high end gaming laptop too and the save creation is taking over an hour to load for the first time
The cutscene and intro ran nicely without issues but the loading is horrific to say the least
I got a lot of expansions and npcs (ensured compatibility and other things) but i still feel like this is taking too long considering my device is good
I cant really open other windows as the game is loading
Is this common?
And would this occur after every game day? Or after everytime i start the save file?
Unfortunately cant access anything unless i close the game
And i cant wait another hour or two again

one greenhouse mod was not loading and other wasnt related to mods really

Well, one issue is that you are running PyTK. Do you know what mods you have that are requiring it?

TMXL no longer requires PyTK. You just need to make sure the manifests of the mods dependent on it…are no longer dependent on it

TMXL itself is no longer dependent on PyTK. The mods requiring TMXL should only list TMXL as a requirement

I have a windows 8.1, every time I try the mods it doesn't work(This is just installing Smapi itself). I'm always met with an error or steam crashes. Any issues that I should be checking?

FS is the framework mod.. it comes with the hand mirror tool. Then you dl content packs for FS to get new clothes and stuff

the doors for rustic country town interiors are glitchy, the reason is because whenever i open a door, half of the door is still on top. 
I don't think it's just you but I thought that was intentional? 
That's a bug with any interior recolor iirc.

it will probably look kind of wonky but nothing should crash
unless you use bundle mods, those might do weird things
although if you want to load it without mods it'll send you back to the opening of the game(concernedape screen)but otherwise it'll be fine
yeah it's a bit of a non-reversible process
you can add mods but it's harder to take a modded save and make it non-modded again
if sve or any mods that add content in the game (sve) and marry or have anything modded, then it'll break i think

Your child age up mod is trying to load one asset twice which is impossible and theres no default fallback so it is crashing.

me and my friend were playing multiplayer. we got stardew valley very expanded modpack with little add on. when i try to go out from the farm (in the map where there is a bus and yes its beside of the farm) we always got a cutscene of lewis and lenny talking about something. my (the host) game runs the cutscene well, but my friend is getting black screen and the Logs shows this. how can we fix this problem? thank you

Most people don't use .xnb mods any more, have you gotten portrait mods that you can uses Generic Mod Configure so you can choose which mods affects which portraits?

well it might not fix it but if the mods are comptabilty with Generic Mod Config, you may be able to say : Use portraits from this mod for one character and mods from another.
But if you're using .xnb mods it might not be possible. Those types of mods are outdated.

Hi, I have a problem: When clicking Load in main menu, my game freezes and then the only way out is task manager. I have this mods installed, any ideas or should i brute force (delete mods one by one) to find out what makes it so?
SMAPI console shows nothing after clicking Load, I can create a new game tho

just thought to mention, playing game with mods can cause the game to load or go in unresponsive state for a while
the more mods you have the more the wait potentially increases
My game's taken 5-8 minutes to load before. (300-400+ mods)
That said, you may also be able to look in the error log files and see if there's a recent crash error there.
Sometimes they're saved even if you don't see them directly in the smapi console.

i keep getting layering issues on random objects and bushes. which thing is layered on top changes when i move

you have two things on top of each other
that causes the flicker
the game sort for layers isn't stable so if there's 2 things at exactly the same layer they flicker
this happens if you have too many pets on the same tile, for example
not really sure why your things are on the same layer, though
neither am i, especially cause the last time i played there wasnt any flickering there
and im getting flickering in places that as far as im aware weren't modified by any of my mods, like the museum
try removing all mods except error handler and see if it persists
if not, it's probably caused by a mod
then add back in mods until it happens again

it appears to be specifically the combination of adventures guild expanded and SVE
whats weird though is neither mod on their own causes the issues
they probably both edit certain tiles
and they might move things from Back to Back2 or something in a weird way since they both use Extra Map Layers?

I had to download and use the mod TimeSpeed (so there are changes with it now but not before when the issue was being caused) to fix the time to be back to somewhat normal.

do you still have the time weirdness with only error handler (temporarily removing all mods)?
if not, try adding in mods back slowly to find the culprit after that

I didn't see anything obvious either when I was looking through them. The only narrowing down I have atm, is the fact that this happened after I updated some mods yesterday.

is there a console command ofr smapi that allows you to reload textures?
if they're through CP you can use patch reload
however that's the kind of question that prompts a lot of followup questions
like "what kind of bug is happening that you need to reload textures??"
doing a patch reload is not going to make the patch order change
either your UI mod changes that texture but it's being patched over by something else, or your UI mod just doesn't change that
the weird thing is, sometimes this stuff will load and other times it wont

okay I have no idea how deep this issue might go but I wanna stop trying to do it myself before I make it worse. I'm playing on windows pc through steam and use nexus and vortex for mods. I haven't gone too far into the game because I don't wanna waste too much gameplay if nothings working. Not a single mod (as far as I'm aware) is working and when I try to use the "how to find smapi log" site, my computer says there are no error log files so I can't even post my smapi log here. I'm getting a bit frustrated 😠

Hope someone can help me. Smapi doesn't seem to recognize the last 4 or 5 mods I installed, but it's still insisting that mods I don't even have anymore are still there. I've uninstalled and reinstalled SMAPI. No change. Did the same with all my mods, still didn't fix anything. Finally uninstalled and reinstalled the game and SMAPI is still only recognizing mods I downloaded weeks ago even if they are not actually there anymore

I used vortex for skyrim and it seemed fine but ill give stardrop a shot
i'm guessing the issue is with where you're editing the mods
yeah skyrim and stardew modding is very different from what i've heard
in particular stardew is easier
Also I have updated every mod that claims to be out of date more times then I can count
SMAPI should pull from precisely the Mods folder, that's it. unless you've set it to do something else.

Basically this means /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods
home folder, deck folder, local folder, share folder, Steam folder, etc
so it would be home -> .local -> share -> Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Stardew Valley -> Mods
If there's a place to paste in a whole filepath you can try that too
So here's a weirdness. There's no deck folder but there is a .local
(you can click into the navbar and paste the whole filepath if you'd like)
so, "home" should be /home/deck iirc
so go to .local

then share -> Steam -> steamapps -> common and so on
so that is your real mods folder, you can make a symlink to that if you wish
okay, so you can edit things there, but you can also try to make a shortcut to that folder
according to reddit, in Dolphin you can right click on empty space > create new > link

okay okay im super close to getting everything running properly but ive got a small bump in the road. When I make a new game, when I go through the intro, during the loading spot between opening the letter and the bus scene, and when i skip intro all together, the game freezes then crashes. I think the only thing you're using PyTK for tbh is the TMXL spouse room for ARV. Two things about that: 1) You can actually get a non-TMXL version from the East Scarp discord server. It's in beta but functional. 2) PyTK is no longer required for TMXL so if you've updated TMXL, you shouldn't need PyTK anyway
PyTK does cause lag on load up in general, and starting a new save with mods already takes longer than nornal
So I would recommend getting rid of PyTK. And if that doesn't help, then I would suggest adding Spritemaster which decreases load times. As I mentioned, starting a new save with mods is already a bit more time-intensive than normal, so most likely you just need to click ok and not touch anything at all until your game actually starts
!sm in case you need to know what Spritemaster is. You can disable sampling if you don't like the smooth texture business

Hi there! I'm new here, but I really want help with a mod.
I want to use the elegant farmers mod as well as the expressive elf ears mod, but I've encountered an issue. At first I thought I could just delete the sleeves mod and be done, but that turns the farmer into a block with ears... I then tried to combine the ears with the body using Krita (art program) but the ears were the default reddish colour. I've seen this issue before with the Peach body mod but with the arms...
So does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? Many thanks!

I have these two mods portrait mods installed that come from the same person(s) (one for Vanilla NPCS and one for Stardew Expanded NPCS) but the one for Stardew Expanded is not working no matter what I try
