Hey I have been wanting to join modding for a while now but I don't know any good pixel art application can someone recommend one for me?

You're missing all the dependencies for RSv. Those are framework mods and they go in the main Mods folder

Hello, I see there's a conversation happening rn, but when someone has a moment I need a bit of help.
I downloaded SMAPI through Vortex, installed and enabled it, but I can't get the text I'm supposed to copy for the Steam Launch Options. I think I need to open SMAPI then copy something from the launcher? But I can't even launch SMAPI on it's own, it flashes at the bottom of my screen as a window for a moment then crashes and I'm going to scream at this point lol
Am I missing something? I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong ^^;

hey team, so ive been trying to play some co-op with my gf and it worked fine all afternoon, me running default steam client with no mods and her running smapi with a few mods, experience bars and some mod that allows her to customize her character on the fly.
As i stated before it worked fine all afternoon and we played the first few weeks in game together without issue, but after we had a dinner break, my game started randomly crashing during loading screen and after a bit of trouble shooting i decided to try and download smapi and the same mod she has installed, while she tried scaling back her mods to just the experience bar. But then i just started crashing as soon as we were both on screen at the same time, most of the textures went crazy and the houses dissapeared and my game froze, with a smapi error.
I cant for the life of me figure out what is going wrong and we just want to have fun playing together, hope some of you are smarter than me and can help us play together again 🙂 thanks for your time

For anyone running SVE and NPC Locations - I’m having an issue, just started a fresh save but my minimap location is a bit off from where my character actually is
For example here: I’m still in my farm area (Immersive Farm 2 map) but on the minimap it shows I’m below at Marnie’s (sorry I’m on Steam Deck so can’t send a clean screenshot)
Does anyone know how to fix this?

because they're in XNB format so the game can read them
they're now PNG after extraction and I think game wouldn't read them
but the vanilla game already has the vanilla portraits

When you get Content Patcher, click on the Requirements tab on its mod page on Nexus and look up some already published portrait mods... see how they do it. Very stable and fun

CP is a framework. Doesn't do anything on its own. That's where content packs come in.

yes i did! it openned the command prompt and then it said the installation was successful
the difference is that the Mods folder is made during installing; if it was SMAPI that made the folder, then you'd also have to run it once before it appears
(fwiw SMAPI probably also makes the folder if it doesn't exist, but it would be empty then)

!launchoptions you will also need to set your launch options if you want to be able to launch SDV with smapi through steam instead of having to use a shortcut or sth
If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). Okay, I've encountered a weird bug. In the background, I can always hear a clicking sound. Even during cutscenes, or the scene where it shows what you sold that is supposedly silent, always a soft "fshhhhhh" and a clicking sound. It disappears when I mute Ambient. Any ideas?

No, it's a constant weird clicking sound that plays even in scenes/screens where no sound is supposed to sound. It doesn't stop. When I close my game and restart it, it's not there but will start after a few minutes
If I mute Ambient, I don't hear it but I can't hear any ambient sounds either.

inside of those folders i believe there is another single folder
you would be able to take that internal folder out and put that into the Mods folder

hi everyone! i am currently trying to configure the Fast Travel mod so that I can use it for myself in SVE and fix some locations due to my other mods interfering with spawn points
I successfully fixed the already exisiting spawn points by changing their coordinates but I'm having difficult making brand new spawn points because a value for "GameLocationIndex" is needed but I can't seem to find a list or resource that lists the information needed for this. Has anyone been able to find this in the raw code? I am fairly new to coding/editing code so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You need that value yes
it determines which map you warp to
there's...no good way to transmit this information, it's a hardcoded list of locations that's done in a really verbose way in the code

okay so good news, updating all the mods actually did fix the lag issues, which is good, those in the last log were the last of like a 100 mods i had to update so i broke it up into a few days but i guess some of the last ones were v important to update, appreciate the reply

Ok the good news is that there is a console command to print all the locations. The bad news is that atra's probably right and they might change on you.

There's a FS bug I've seen w sleeves leaving red areas on the hands or arms. Maybe your red shoe feet are like that 🤷 @/Puffer

Hello! I'm getting a weird error where the Game Menu crashes whenever I swap out a clothing item (doesn't happen when swapping rings though, nor when using the FashionSense Hand Mirror). Looks like its trying to access a "disposed" item, but not sure what that would be. Possibly a mod conflict? I already tried disabling the Farmer Base changes from Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic, and was directed here by the mod author. Here's my SMAPI Log below. Any help would be appreciated. some portrait mods have configurations but you could just replace the portraits in one mod with ones from the other that you want to use

Hey im using mods for the first time and having trouble with SMAPI, I have about 60 mods currently and only half of them are loading. SMAPI says in the startup that 37 mods have warning and are being skipped and not sure why, it doesn't tell me which mods are causing this issue. If anyone can help, please do.

Oh, I know why now. I also downloaded a reskin mod that made everyone into furries so I copy pasted files and it included a TMX folder.
Wonder if it means some shop portraits are regular people.
SVE was DLed straight from Nexus, I just didn't know another mod I was using would have an outdated folder.

Hey, I had a problem with a mod called MARGO and when I asked the developer for help they told me:-
"This mod basically pastes an equal-sized weapons tilesheet over the original.
Probably you have a mod that changes the size of that tilesheet, to add new weapons, and that's causing funky behavior.
You can type 'patch summary TileSheets/weapons' in the console to find out which mods are messing with the weapons tilesheet, and remove them one by one until the error disappears.
Alternatively, you can just disable the weapons retexture option in Arsenal configs if you don't care about that."

btw I have another problem with a mod called Elegant Victorian Furniture it changes the beds which is a nice feature but it also tries to change the bed for the NPC (a part of the bed is changed while the other is still vanilla) and it doesn't really match with their houses so I want to remove that I asked a guy for help and they told me to replace the content file with a one that they edited but it just made the bed get fully replaced instead of half replaced I want to remove that bed can someone help me?

apparently the NPC bed is just a tile then lmao
those are patches in the content.json file that Target Maps/townInterior i'd guess. if the mod doesn't change anything else you care about in that tilesheet you could try removing the png files from the mod that have towninterior in the name (if the beds are coming from them to begin with)
Weird ambient audio crackling bug in Winter remains no matter what I do
have you restarted the computer after it started? i had to do that (or resetting the sound system) in the past pretty often to avoid crackling audio in SDV
No, I haven't. I mean, it started yesterday (as soon as I entered winter) and I noticed it starts when the wind picks up or when I exited the museum.

Would anyone know why the Prismatic tool mod would need to edit 'Maps/springobjects'? It seems to be conflicting with Lux's food mod, by trying to edit the same ''area'' but because of Lux relying on sprites in detail that area has 'more pixels' leading to Prismatic tools to crash (At least that's what I think the issue is).

ZaneYork, the developer of Android SMAPI, has said he will work on it when he has time. my stardew valley folder is in windows apps not the designated folder for some reason

In steam you can choose where the installation folder is, but idk if gamespass has that feature too
you just have to redirect the file pathing within game pass. this happened to me and i was able to fix it.
i had to uninstall and reinstall it for it to correct the pathing.
mine looks like this, i think yours is correct yes. i had to change the path, and then install the game/reinstall it for it to actually redirect the files properly, and while reinstalling you should double check that it doesn't try to revert the file pathing to windowsapps.
first i just tried copy/pasting the files into the xboxgames folder where my other games were, and it didn't work. it copied them but basically made them shortcuts. so i had to reverse the copy/paste. then i went into the game pass settings for the game and changed the folder where it's installed, so i changed it from D:\WindowsApps to D:\XboxGames. then i went to check if the files had moved over, which they did, but i still had the original ones in the windowsapps folder, so i uninstalled and reinstalled stardew and it was in the correct folder. i was worried about losing my saves cause i wasn't sure how the cloud system worked so i also copied my saves to my desktop before uninstalling and reinstalling just incase lol
i also had to uninstall and reinstall smapi due to the file path changing. so you may have to do that as well
in my case it says my game folder is in xbox games but they're in windows apps

winrar is free
many mods are packed into rar/zip folders and require being extracted in order to install and use them. i highly suggest getting winrar !
