Hello everyone, good morning, coming back again with another issue, this time i was trying to fix a bug with my save file, after managing to fix the problem by executing SMAPI Stardew Valley as admin, the SVE NPCs just stopped moving altogether, i can send in my SMAPI Log if that helps

the mod in question is Spouse island, it is updated, the manifest even says it's the latest version, but for some reason it keep showing it as the old version i had, and i did that fix i was told to do yesterday and for some reason this one doesn't correlate

Disable pytk and smapi will show red text on what mod that won't l be loaded as it missing pytk

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. The SMAPI installer will tell you what to set as the launch options when it completes (green text). If you use Steam, you can also right click on the game name > Manage > Browse Local Files.

you need to make sure that you've deleted all of the items from the mod that exist in your game

general guideline is that you want the manifest.json to be in the first level inside the folder

It was missing a check: false.
So I was having an invalid tilesheet reference. All I did was remove some empty folders from mods I'd uninstalled already. And that fixed it
Update on the situation, the characters are still frozen, however, I deleted some mods that I read in the new log that weren't running properly and after some thinking I deleted them, also I found out why it still said my Island spouse mod was updated, the mod folder comes with different versions of the same mod and apparently, SMAPI picked one that was outdated, the characters are still frozen but if the message that appeared from the bot says that updating the mod would help then I'll go with that, otherwise, I might redownload SVE which might help out, here's the log cause I'm not an expert and I could have overlooked something.

what nexus sais usually doesnt matter. if smapi tells you its outdated, then its 99% outdated unless the author effed up their version number. you can always check the mod list on https://smapi.io/mods and get the right link yourself

there's no reason why it should be corrupted but when uninstalling a large expansion you have to be mindful of certain things
like Elizabeth's guide lol
divorce the NPCs if you're married to them, remove all custom items from the mod by shipping or trashing them, debug or complete any quests you have from the expansion otherwise you'll end up with an ugly string in your quest log (not game-breaking, just ugly lol)

It's a rar file. You need an app like 7zip or winrar to extract it

Yes. Either 7zip or winrar. Folks here recommend 7zip but i use both, so your choice

For a .zip file, just right-click (or long-press on Android) it and choose the option like extract or uncompress. My SMAPI is stuck on the loading screen and it takes it nearly 2 hours to open stardew valley and when i left click in game it crashes instantly can someone help me about this I can provide logs and other things if there is a need

the thing is somedays it launches fine I can play it but somedays it takes 2 hours to launch and crashes when i litteraly do anything in game

When does it crash? Right after launch the game, while click load, or after clicking when loading a save?
You need to unpack those and put them into the /Mods/ folder

hey! does anyone use the looking for love mod with any portrait/sprite mods? i really want to try it out but i use a portrait/sprite mod pack that i dont want to give up for it and it seems as though looking for love automatically changes sprites/portraits for pam, lewis, marnie, ect and that there's no way around this. i was just wondering if someone uses it and figured out how to replace the sprites/portaits that come with the mod so that this doesn't happen, or knows if that's possible? i've replaced portraits/sprites for other mods like romanceable rasmo and such, but this one seems a bit trickier so i am unsure.

If i dont double click and wait after clicking it can get to the load a save section

I have an issue I am running into with a mod that I wasn't having before and I am so confused as to what I am doing wrong. I even did a fresh install of the mods and still have no clue.
I downloaded Bigger Farmhouse Map by Asterisk55 (Nexus) alongside Asters Beam and Kitchen Mod for Farm Building Interiors (same author) and Cozy Farmhouse Kitchen (Alvadea) with the compatibility for the beam mod.
Sadly, the kitchen isn't changing.

I have done so and for some reason doing the false dependency isn't working (and I have done so for all mods that do not have false dependencies for the kitchen to work)

I wanted to make sure first that it was still having issues without being nested in a sub folder (as the Recolor wasn't nested while these mods were).
However, the problem persists.

Also, I just want to say that I appreciate your help and patience with this immensely. If a solution just so happens to not be found, I can deal with getting rid of the kitchen mods, as they aren't as important to me. :3

you just need the UniqueID for the mod which you can get from its manifest

Hey! So I just deleted tmxl and pytk yesterday, then spent the rest of the day reconfiguring everything else - and I had to delete a bunch of npc mods
Including Belos, Open fire, Magpie, Buwangyu and Alune. Would it be worth it if I manually converted their tmx files to cp? I'm staring at Pillow's TMXL2CP right now and can't make heads or tails of the bit where it says to do manual edits in other parts of the mod.
what parts of their mods were TMXL? if it was just their spouse rooms then you might not have to do anything too complicated
maps, festivals and spouse rooms

I'm not sure what else you can try unfortunately. Windows isn't able to load .NET, which is why your vanilla game doesn't work either. The only other options I can think of are...
- use the compatibility branch without mods;
- or try a Windows reset and see if that changes anything (though that might be a bit drastic).
If you do get it working, let us know how! It might help the next person with a similar issue.

I can do a bit more testing - mainly that it can also fail when the DLL is linked to since it runs DllMain
but just at a glance I see no reason that Windows would outright disallow it to load.
unless Windows is explicitly not loading it, like for security

SO I'm trying to improve performance for my game. Installed Profiler and am trying to sort through that stuff...
Automate comes up a lot (not surprsing, I guess).
I was having terrible lagging that made playing pretty intolerable. But increasing the automation interval did help significantly right away.
What can I do with Automate in my game... have fewer machines? I feel like I made a little buffer for myself with the interval at 480 but it will start lagging again at some point.
Not sure where to ask this... was gonna comment on the mod page but would appreciate some advice please :>

I put all the mods that I know work on pc onto the steam deck
Then it loaded much faster but when it came to the fiiiiiinal part of actually starting the game, like in my house, it went black again

that mod shouldnt be having any issues. i've been running it for ages and never had an issue with it, so its probably a combination with something else, or something elses fault entirely

Hello, I have a question about getting missed mail into my mailbox. I used CJB to jump me to fall on day one and never got willies letter making his shop unavaible. I asked earlier and through console commands was able to get the quest, complete it and see the cutscene giving me a rod but the shop is still closed. I noticed poking around the wiki it mentions reading that mail is what clears the "gone fishing" message.

also you need to reinstall SVE bc you didn’t get all of the requirements, did you follow the installation guide from the mod page?

I just recently started playing SDV for pc and was interested in the mods. Installed SMAPI and now the game will auto close shortly after starting it. If I remove the directory from the launch options, it works just fine. Tried running the logs and everything shows that it’s working fine. Also went through the troubleshooting wiki several times and nada. Reinstalled the game and SMAPI several times and still the same thing. Any ideas on how to fix?

it seems like it launched? what does it look like
this is what it looks when loading the game. it runs and then when I try to load either a new file, save file it stops working and closes out

there really isnt any time to wait. I start the game and that happens. If that makes sense

one that was on there. i started a game earlier today but I quickly backed out of it to get the mods from the beginning.
and when I start a new game, It crashes when typing a name in for the character.

There's two I've been using, one on the official Stardew Valley website and one that Nexus suggested. I've already gotten SMAPI, Vortex, and started to get started with some mods, but it's showing that multiple of the mods I'm trying to use aren't being ran. I'm not sure where I'm stumbling at

Hi. I am hoping that someone can help me. There is no book in the Wizard's tower, so I can't get Junimo Huts. I am at 8 hearts with him. I have done the Goblin problem quest. I am very sad about this, as I am going for a specific look on my farm, where the Junimo huts are needed.

I tried reinstalling more gem and it’s dependencies by the way and I’m still having the problem
if you take it out do you still get house plants
If I take it out I won’t get custom gems trying to come up at all

Does anyone know if there will be updates for Mod update menu, adopt n skin and LovedLabels? (Curious because I just have warnings for those that they'll break on the next major update for smapi. Not a big deal, I'm just wondering)
that is true, but that shouldnt be an issue. just means that things that affect "minerals" wont work on them (like margos mineral/gem quality profession)

Sometihing about deprecated? If yes, that's for mod author to worry about. And if author isn't active for awhile, the chance is the mod will be obsolete or someone will make unofficial update if they get permission to do so
