( i use yellogs farms buildings mods) i got a chicken coop, it was fine with the yellogs retexture UNTIL i brought some chickens, for some reason the coop got back with the base game coop, i tried to see if i could manually change the texture (like when ellies mods appears in mod manager menu) but for some reason yellogs texture mod isnt appearing in my mods configure menu

it looks like SMAPI is saying its ignoring PFM because its missing stuff it should have
to install the mod, extract it out of the zip and into the mods folder in your stardew game folder. for any instructions beyond that, you should ask the author of the mod.
I'm also a bit concerned about StardewProgress' error messages

i just know that in candy at least flour had missed a few items for PFM rules

so you said you hadn't touched it in ages - did you mean the PFM mod itself or my floral mod?
at any rate - I would suggest closing out the day, deleting the entire floral mod folder (so both JA and PFM) and reinstalling because im not sure why else SMAPi would throw that error

...this is really stupid but can you try pulling the PFM folder out of the same folder with the JA component (so that they are two separate folders, one for JA Floral and one for PFM Floral in your mods folder) and see if that does anything? maybe its nested weird

They got moved around. But it sounds like Stardew Progress is a little janky with recipes. Some of those got removed from jams and jellies and moved into gourmet pantry
so if you update jams jellies you would be ok
Things needed for perfection are saved in your save file. and stardew progress checks that.
So if things are removed from there it can't find them anymore and throws an error. I don't think it has an impact but it's off

Hello, im trying to play SVE with Grandpa's farm. My overview map shows everything correcty, however my friends overview map shows the town correctly and everything else minus our own farm looks like the standard farm

according to the description, you have to copy the files for stardew access into the game folder, where the stardewmoddingapi.exe is
^As a reference, friends map is on the left, mine is on the right and correctly showing how the overview map should look
So in local files i just scroll down till i find stardew valley and it will have the stardewmodding.exe file then paste the files for stardew access

Worth testing out GMCM Options maybe, but otherwise the color parser is quite permissive
3/4/6/8 digit hex, or list of values (between 0 and 255), or, heck, try giving it the name of a color

I have a bunch of PPJA mods like Artisan Valley, which adds a few machines according to the mod page. But somehow I cant find them when searching for them in the cjb cheats menu, how am I supposed to get my hands on them? I checked a guide which says some machine recipes are supposed to be sent per mail but I dont recall getting any yet

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

Those are both glitches that make it seem like you're using the DGA version, not the JA version
What does dga stand for? Is that the author's name?
Dynamic Game Assets (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/9365) is a mod which lets content packs and other mods add custom content like crops, trees, weapons, etc. See the mod description for details.
If you're making custom content, ask mod authors in #making-mods-general about whether using Json Assets (!ja) would be more suitable instead.

But if you go into "properties" there is NO entity named LAPTOP
And i am set as Owner
But it still requires permission from an entity that doesn't even exist
And this ONE mod is making the game unplayable
i don't think there's anything we can do in this case. best report to the mod author and see if they can fix or find what the issue is

Ok i solved it. There is ANOTHER entity named LAPTOP hidden very deep on that file. I deleted that and restarted the computer and it works!
There’s a lot of stardew files in the properties and local files theres stardew valley.DLL stardew valley no file extension and a ton of other files as a matter of fact 271 to be exact now what i do was put the library in the mods folder

If it's considered a normal mod it would go into the mods folder (Stardew Valley / Mods). But as it is something very specific there might be additional steps necessary to set up everything.
I want to remove a map mod (Reimagined 3) and I know I need Reset Terrain Features. When I use RTF, it gets rid of all the bushes like I want, but I also need to regenerate them. For some reason, it puts a bush at the Request Board (the one that resets every week) and I can't figure out how to get rid of it without just getting rid of all bushes in town, which I don't wish to do.
Yea I'll have to add that mod, I tried to destroy it with an axe and it wouldn't do anything

I have better farm animal variety installed as well as a few mods that adds new ones, but when I load my game the log says that the produce items for these mods are unknown and when I go to Marnie’s, the animals don’t show up in her shop at all. Did I miss a step installing?

You've file extensions disabled. That's why it's "manifest" instead of "manifest.json".

I just added them last night too so ity's very unlikely that there was instantly a new update, I even tried redownloading the mods.

Are you trying to use a portrait mod for RSV? Those have to replace the contents inside The CP And STF folders in RSV

Short version: Vortex and SDV aren't necessarily best friends.
They can work together nicely if you're lucky and I'm not saying Vortex is the reason for your issues, but Vortex can also have it's bad days.

I don't think Stardrop has something like "import from Vortex". So you might have to set it up again. And as you want to get rid of some mods: Maybe start from scratch and sort those out too while you're at it. Important part: Unmanage SDV in Vortex.

Hello, I am having an issue with the Stardew Ridgeside Village mod, I am unable to buy anything from either Heaps or Kimpoi, I've already gotten the cut scene with Kimpoi telling me was selling seeds now, but I still can't access the shop. When I go into their shops, they stand there but I can't activate the menu like I do in Pierre's. I just updated everything and it's still happening. Are their any suggestions for what I can try?

with your right joystick, move it upwards over the npc/register and hit A it'll open the shop menu

i have an issue with my multiplayer save, the game is modded but not with mods that drastically change the game itself. whenever i load in i can play the game like normal but when my friends join they are in a house that has the layout of an upgraded house but with their furniture, they can't do anything at all and dont appear on the map and i have no clue what is causing it
the only thing any of us can think of is that we turned the game off as my friend got a cutscene with abigail at his door as soon as he woke up or that its because hes upgrading his house, but it doesnt explain why its happening to the other friend. we tried going back a day but it didnt work

Just a quick question, I downloaded my first mod just a few minutes ago (it's one that adds extra horse colors), and when I loaded my already saved world the mod automatically changed my horse to one of the available colors. Is there a way that I can choose my horse's color after already having my horse? Or can I only select colors for any future horses?

I don't think mail framework, the fresh meat missing dependency etc have anything to do with the building issue. I would just always solve dependency issues first and then check what's left.
Right gotcha.
For that error, you just gotta make sure your files match the path it specifies. So there should be a folder called "assets", inside that another one called "spring", inside that a png file called "Mill.png"
They need to match up with the FromFile in the content.json. so something must be off for the mismatched buildings.. changed named or typo or missing folder

@oak thicket Maybe start from scratch with one mod after the other (also to ensure working dependencies) and check in between if everything is working? 
Heard it's fine for other games but not for Stardew.

I think u should be fine, I would still recommend you install manually at least for the first time, and then start using Stardrop
Manual is the least hassle imho. Simple unzip drag n drop
I got Stardrop up and running, it seems to do okay. 🙂 So far, so good.
So Im confused as to why it says the folders are empty for specifically only these files. I dowloaded and put them into folders the exact same way as others. Also, it says that the anime portrait mod has a updated version, but I downloaded it literally today. The Sophia, Claire and Marlon anime portraits dont work either, all others (from who Ive met in the like two hours of gameplay) work
For update message: It could be a false message. Check if it was updated a second ago. If not: Wait a day or two and check again as there might be an update to fix the false message.

hey! just joined the server. im having a bit of trouble with the game mods too. mostly only one cause i figured out what was wrong with most of the other red lines it gave me even though today is literally the first day im doing any modding (played only mobile for years but recently bought the pc version!!) anyway idk how to show yall what the red line is because the window that had it closed when my game fully started? im sorry but any help would be greatly appreciated

It's only in regards to the "You can update xyz". I don't know about the mods you're using. Personally I would try to reinstall them and see if that fixes it.

I'm not 100% sure but I would think the StartWithGreenhouse mod needs to be loaded later. 
Can you go to your mods folder and change the foldername for the mod from StartWithGreenhouse to [z]StartWithGreenhouse or something like that?

that will make it load first, adding symbols to the start of a folder/file name will move them to the very top

Considering it's age (2021) I wouldn't get my hopes up too much.
But maybe ask on the mod page if there's anything that could be done.
The new way is to use the ModsToLoadLate in smapi-internal/config.json
how do you do that?
Open your game folder
You should have something like this
Inside smapi-internal is the config.json
Open it with a text editor, scroll to the very last and add the mod id to the list in ModsToLoadLate
I wasn't aware it could be done through SMAPI config. 
You'll have to open the mod's manifest to find its uniqueid

Not the entire log, but I get this error message every single time I've downloaded the Json Assets packs (more trees, flowers, receipes, etc)

the error seems to occur when i try to start a new day, i downloaded the newest version of smapi and checked the steam files integrity too, so that part is done at least
I guess do a 50/50. Remove half of ur mods, and load the other half making sure u keep the files which need dependencies to each other
so i started up the game again and went to bed immediately to see if it would still trigger the error and it did

If the error happens with that 50%, remove half of those again and see if it happens again

And you do that until you're down to 1.

Frameworks dont do anything if they're not being used by any of ur mods
To make your life a bit easier: Do what nonu suggested.
And also created a folder .disabled in Mods (dot is the important part). Just shove the mods in there that should be disabled.

That also helps with narrowing down: First half goes into .disabled. The culprit not there? Create .disabled2 and do the next group. Still no culprit? Move the content from .disabled2 to .disabled because those are "done" and so on.
That way you're down to a reasonable number (depending on how many mods you have and how long it takes to move the frameworks) in a fairly short time.
i think the first step i might take is just going through my download history and seeing if removing some of the more recent mods i've downloaded might becausing the issue, and then if not i'll definitely do what you suggested
If the issue wasn't there all the time that's a good way to narrow it down too.

First: I don't know if Vortex is the issue in your case.
But Vortex can be a troublemaker.

Second: Considering your log you might want to start with the errors at the top (incompatible mods, missing dependencies).
While at it: SMAPI would like to have an update too.
Or in other words: Get yourself some coffee because this is going to take longer. 
As you're switching mod manager: You might do the trouble shooting the other way round.
haha! well, i updated smapi to the latest version after i made that log, so that part is taken care of at least
Start adding mods (framworks first) and check if you get any errors. No error? Add 2-3 mods and check again.
i just want yall to know that once i actually went and looked around i found the greenhouse is restored even though the line was still red when loading. i have absolutely zero idea why but it still worked!

Machine Goods can't be loaded and that's why you're getting the other errors.
And delete all the dependencies

What does it mean when it says that a mod contains files but none of them are manifest.json. It was working fine till I deleted another mod trying to get one to work
cfr is custom farming redux, an old framework that's been replaced with produce framework manager

Exactly what it says: SMAPI can't find the manifest.json. Either it's not in the folder or incorrect name (if you have file extensions hidden unhide them to check if you might have manifest.json.json or something like that) or something else is wrong (reinstall the mod).
Alright thank you. My bad for all the maybe obvious questions. I've never modded anything on PC before. Got it down from 5 mods not working to only one, and that has something to do with some Portrait of Sophia. But I give up on that now. I appreciate the help 🙏🏼
Got it to work now. Just had to reinstall the mod
Never found something like this before, but for some reason processed geodes are disappearing but not putting anything in the inventory afterwards. I don't think any of the mods in this setup even affect geodes, where would I start with trying to find the cause?
Does SMAPI throw any errors? That would help.
