It seems like your install of SVE is also incorrect as well, so I would redownload the mod

Yes, but it says you're missing the CP and STF folders of SVE
It's possible something went wrong when you unzipped them

helo, so I am attempting to fix some of the mods in my sv playthrough and more issues have cropped up x-x The original problem was mods like stardew expanded and ridgeside weren't showing up as places to go in game. I then updated all the mods shown in the 1st screenshot, and now a lot of textures are missing.
As the textures are missing from a variety of mods, I was wondering if someone knew what could be causing it?

im redownloading all the stuff the log is recommending, it was all working fine when I ran it the first time some monthes ago, but then the ridgeside and expanded stuff stopped appearing in my world so, wanted to fix it. The one thing that keeps being consistently broken is Harvest Goddess mod, the portraits don't appear correctly for some reason >:/

Expanded is probably interfering with the Harvest Goddess portraits btw. They're not compatible.

some errors are easier than others, and this is quite the easy fix because it's a common mistake people make

And the Penny Expanded mod seems to have an issue with the manifest, I'd redownload it and check the comments in the page to see if anyone has had this issue and how to fix it, if so

@dire fractal An XNB mod replaces some of your game's .xnb files to change the game (unlike newer mods that go in your Mods folder). This is an older type of mod that's no longer recommended, and can cause a number of issues. Most Content Patcher mods have [CP] in front. Other mods like add ons for Alternate Textures or Fashion Sense have [AT] or [FS] in front of them. But you'll also come across CP or whatever mods that have nothing in front of them.
Those prefixes aren't technically necessary, but they help with finding things in the mods folder. 🤷♀️

Hello! I have been playing for a bit with a new save since I added so many mods, currently in summer year 1 and while playing I got an error related to UI Info Suite 2 with Love of Cooking (at least as far as I can tell). I'm still playing so it isn't game breaking (as far as I know, I really don't know what the error is even about with 100% certainty) but I am still posting here in case there is a quick fix or in case I need to report this somewhere. i believe ur issue is u have both platotk and pytk
i don't remember for sure if that can cause unusually long load times, but they are incompatible w each other
so remove platotk and try again
Does anyone know if the creator/s of Seasonal Outfits has a preferred way of contact? I would like to upload a sub-mod for it says the following on permissions and credits but I want to make sure that it is okay.
You can freely edit the assets by Poltergeister for/include them in your own mod as long as you give credit as outlined in the credits section and don't put your work using these assets behind a paywall such as Patreon. Tanpoponoko assets are not free to use.

This caused our initial load times go go from upwards of 40min to like around 5min
but we started not being able to open chests and then 30+ sec later they might open. We also started seeing each other zoom past each other suddenly. It feels like lag spikes for those two things.

What happened with pytk? When I last played nigh on a year or two ago I saw that a couple of the mods I used required it, now it is no longer required and more than a few places have said drop ut
it's just old and will be basically obsolete in the next update of SMAPI

This warning means that CP and SMAPI have had to disable certain optimizations for pytk. Pytk will work fine for now, but you may see increased lag
well basically its pretty slow in the background and fights with a lot of other mods and hasn't really been updated in a while so everyone's moved onto content patcher or other alternatives

If it’s just specific chests, maybe there’s a modded item left in that one that need removing

Two glitches I can't get rid of:
- All equipped shoes turn red
- I have no sleeves
I don't get any error logs, and to try and fix this I removed all my Fashion-based Mods, but these effects still linger.
Anyone familiar with either of these bugs? 
*I normally use "Fashion Sense" to change the look, and can set an override for the shoes to just be a set color... but I like seeing the color based off what I wear.
As for the sleeves, when I have FS in use, the sleeves section is stuck on "None" and has no other options. *

hello, I'm looking for some assistance with a bug/glitch I'm experiencing in my modded multiplayer game. There's no actual error, it's issues with the GUI seemingly being out of alignment with itself. Is this channel the best place to get help with that?
Vortex (Nexus) and ModDrop both are mod managers that can help you keep your mods up to date, but they are difficult to troubleshoot. If you're looking for a mod manager that was written specifically for SDV and has troubleshooting logs built in, you can try Stardrop (!stardrop).

reminds me of FF14's fancy little bug of not being able to switch audio input without the game crashing. Was reported to the OF, they said it wasn't a thing, no bug etc etc. Then it happened during a live letter livestream 🙃 and they fixed it. "huzzah!" we said as the bug was finally fixed, only for them to stubbornly revert it and make us all suffer again
why would they revert it, that's extra work

In Stardew’s case, XNA is where the error originated (you can see it in the stack)
like extremely bad. Awful. We joke about it being spaghetti code.
for a long time theres been a lot of things they couldn't implement, or had to implement in weird ways (biggest one is people wanting a proper glamor ssystem like transmog, but we got glamor dressers instead, purely because of how bad the original code it was built off of it is)

hey all. so, i think i have some ghost mods or something? like, i removed something incorrectly and now its causing issues due to incompatibility
i was using aquarist and walk of life but when i went to update them i discovered they were deprecated and had been folded into the author's new aio, modular gameplay overhaul. i deleted those two and installed the new one, only smapi and gmcm still see them, mgo threw errors in smapi and when i leveled fishing to 10 just a minute ago i didnt get to choose a profession
did you update the settings in modular overhaul, it doesn't have aquarism activated by default for example
i did go through and activate the modules i wanted but not much more than that
i was advised to parse my smapi log so i have that ready if needed

in typing it all out and gathering screenshots from each player on my game, we figured out the issue! The zoom level changes the GUI for 2 mods, making buttons and tooltips appear where they should not. So I'm good now!

I do have a separate question - SMAPI 3.18.0 supposedly fixed multiplayer map edits. I'm running 3.18.1, but only the host in our game actually has an edited map, and the other players don't have SVE or East Scarpe locations shown properly. Is this a known issue?

I actually uninstalled that mod because it was old. But now I'm encountering another issue 😂 I tried to replace it with this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2738?tab=files&file_id=64041 but when I run the game it does not generate the config as it's meant to. I have the dependencies and have reinstalled it a few times....

Not really, it might just make it more difficult to find the mod later if they wish to delete it or update it. They might possibly end up w dupes

Turns out it was a problem with the pet house mod
I have installed a few new mods, Train Station, Mermaid Island and Stardew Aquarium.
My game worked fine yesterday. This morning, after installing these mods, My game freezes me when I take the bus back from the Desert. It simply stops working.
I have a screenshot of what it looks like. My curser vanishes and the game doesn't respond to anything, I have to tab out and shut it down by shutting down the Smapi prompt.
Not seeing any errors in the Smapi log, the game doesn't crash and shut down, it simply freezes
Can someone please help me figure out what is causing this?

Farmer to Florist is an older version, because 4.0 doesn't work

did you recently install BusLocations for East Scarp?
yes I did @dapper gazelle - it hasn't caused any issues and is using the bus sign by the trainstation, not the bus ticket thingy by the desert

so um, anyway....... I do believe BusLocations may be affecting your return trip from the desert since after the update quite a number of people complained about getting locked up, very much in the manner you described. It could be that BL has an incompatibility with something else since I don't think it affects everyone
but BL does have to add the desert back into the ticket machine (that's what the BL Desert file is) so it's not impossible that it's doing something weird unfortunately.
Ah. That is a bit meh, but I guess I can just ride to East Scarp if I need to. I'll remove that mod and see if the Desert bus bugs on me then
I'll try to keep BusLocations and remove EastScapBus first
(fwiw the framework is not necessary if you don't have the ES component as you would just get to the desert by vanilla bus and it doesn't look like any of your other mods use BL)
I am not sure, but I think Stardew Aquarium uses Bus Locations

Train Station is what allows you to take the train to the Aquarium. It's a different mod.

Just the ES component earlier. Now I have removed BusLocations completely and am gonna test to see if it works as normal again
I did a test, it worked fine. Starting playing like I normally would and boom, the problem came back. Went to read on the mod page on exusmods and it does seem the mod is causing trouble. Kindda sad, cause I wanted to try a fee mods that requires it 😦

@snow prism I just realised you are the author of Visible Fish (which I love). May I trouble you a bit more with a "bug report" of sort?
Basically I'm using Saltcliff Farm (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/8191 - a beach farm replacement) and whenever I enter the farm (and the first time I exit for each save reload), SMAPI gives the error log "IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array".
It's probably because the map is a replacement. Is there anything I can do to prevent/stop that?
Note that the mod works fine otherwise (fish still show up and all). I just would rather not be alarmed by the red wall of texts every time I play. 😝

Easiest way to do that is mods.
CJB menu and spawner.
You can probably change your skill level through save editing (I think?) But that's not recommended since it's easy to break stuff.

would anybody be able to point me towards detailed info about the multiplayer map edit bug on older versions of SMAPI? I gather that it was supposed to be fixed with SMAPI v3.18.0, but my friends and I are running v3.18.1, and only the host of our game actually has a modded map, with the other players not seeing any SVE or East Scarp locations shown
The specific issue was map changes (ie, unlocking RSV minecarts, etc.) not taking place until the game was relaunched

I figured it out...APPARENTLY Steam has 2 different files >-> SDV saves are stored in the roaming while STEAM leads me only to the stardew mod folder

Hello! I'm trying to reload all my mods on my chromebook after an OS update caused a glitch and I can't find a smapi installer that will load. The error always says "these files are not supported on chromebook". Where can I find a smapi installer for Android that will work on my chromebook? The Android version of the game is quite a bit different from other ports and so needs a custom version of SMAPI. See https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Android for details on getting started.
@native dragon I've already done that, and the link leads to the .apk file that makes my chromebook say those files are not supported.

I honestly have no idea how to help, I don't own a chromebook. The android installer is an apk, because those are the file types for android apps

@near terrace , When I download the installer, and try to run it, it shows up as an external storage device which I have to switch on, then it says it has to load Linux partition on my chromebook. I'm trying it now and I'll let you know if it works. My chromebook doesn't have a ton of storage so I hope it doesn't fill up. LOL 😉

smapi comes with 3 mods, error handler, save backup and console commands
if it opens the console first, which lists those three mods, it should be the modded game

because smapi adds things to the vanilla files
and creates a mods folder and the three mods i mentioned above

Yep, you have to unzip them first and delete the zip files afterwards
Maaaaybe it was originally in base GameLocation, and was moved without removing that check?

but like, if I want to start an event outside and then move into the farmhouse for example, I cant use that check

and its a rar file not zip

I've recently been told that Tractor Mod contains native tractor engine sounds, but in my game it still makes horse sounds and it doesn't come with any sound assets in the archive.

i believe if u go to steam, open the game info, there'll be a cogwheel
if u click that, there shld be an option like find game files or smth of the sort
that should point u towards the game install
i cant say if just clicking on the stardew valley.exe will launch vanilla

Yes launching game through stardew valley.exe inside game folder will launch the game in vanilla
I read that too, I think on the TM page. I don't hear any tractor noises. Not sure I hear horse noises from tractor, however.
I can say that trying the extra Tractor Sounds add-on pack didn't work well for me.. endless idling noises. Maybe it was on That page that mentioned "native tractor sounds" 🚜

Move away mod zip files from the Mods folder, only put the extracted file inside Mods folder. Then elegant victorian interior is not smapi mod (xnb mod) as smapi said so don't use it. For warm cozy fireplace mod, it's empty

Honestly once you have an extractor it's quite the same as the old zip files.. I'm using winRAR and they all go there. So I just move them to mods
I'm only barely exagerating but it's free it's great and the annotation software is good and the auto bibtex generator is good too.

Does Nexus remove that button for mods that weren't updated in a while or something?
It's because Vortex frequently mis-deploys mods
Do it manually, it's the best
mod authors turn that off when vortex users with vortex problems start getting annoying XD
If you're getting the whole suite, it's recommended to use the JA versions. Esp for Farmer2Florist. FYI

I deleted an old soil decay mod, waited 1 in-game day so that there wouldn't be some weird interraction, then installed this mod and ran it. But it won't make the config file. I've tried uninstalling, restarting the game over and over.
