@placid wadi I actually downgraded smapi due to all the error that suddenly happened after upgrading plus the lag time to load was unreal.
lag time is likely a pytk issue, not a Smapi issue
please always use current version of Smapi
Lag time went back to normal for me, but that is me and my choice.

Yes, the error right below mail services mod error. 4 mods try to patch dialogue, which are custom backpack, WoL, mail services, and bigger backpack

Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

Hello, can someone help me with this? It seems like Tabitha from the Cat.Cafe mod is colliding in her schedule with an object. Idk what object tho. Is there a way to fix this? From what I get in the posts on the Nexus page, the creator abandoned this mod since over two years. I did not had this issue when I made the save yesterday. Just by loading it in tonight it popped up.

Can you install Ginger Island Mainland Adjustments temporarily and upload a new log? there's omething in her schedule that's broken, and I can't obviously see what it is from that screenshot. GIMA sometimes spits out nicer schedule errors.

Speaking as someone who just ran into a somewhat similar error testing NPC Adventures on Mateo without beach sprites, what specifically were you doing with mining?

It attempted to draw from a nonexistent file, failed, and that crashed it

Because the given key is super low, which generally means it's a vanilla object.

maybe there is a source somewhere where you can redownload the vanilla xnb files, then try replace the emerald file ans see if it works?

Looking at the posts, because it loads the vanilla weapon set, I'm surprised you haven't run into issues
Specifically: 1.5 and such has added new weaponry data. Think of it like a dataset with 100 items in it, but it used to contain 75
You're essentially loading a dataset of 75 over the dataset of 100, wiping out the new ones in the process
I wouldn't be surprised if some of the data like the Infinity Blade is flat out gone

So atra is right. The game attempted to give you an ossified blade from some source, but that weaponry key was not present in the dictionary due to the load of the 2018 mod, which never had that weapon
You could possibly use editdata tbh to fix that mod but a load is a bad thing

Also don't worry about it. You likely simply never ran into it, so believed it worked
Now you know and can fix for the future! Hell, you could update the mod yourself if you wanted to editdata instead

Pretty much. Also, it wasn't always disableable.
For a long time it included no performance stuff so disabling it wasn't a useful configuration option. Originally it didn't support GMCM either (it's a month older than GMCM but didn't support it until recently).
The performance stuff was originally to help me save time when developing.
Oh, so originally it was a way to make everything more... uniform, I guess, sprite-wise? That makes sense if there were no performance optimizations initially

Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware and is out of ConcernedApe's control. There is currently no known fix. See !legacy or !legacymodding for how to get your game to work.

Unless I haven't seen something, what you're suggesting isn't possible. SMAPI doesn't, baseline, fix any errors with the launch of Stardew 1.5.6

If you load screen with saves has farmers with JA or DGA clothing items I suspect you cannot use the vanilla game
I have a quick question, if I had old save files, and then I downloaded new mods (like ridgeside village and expanded/grandpas farm) if I open the old save files will those still work? (I hope this isn't a silly question)

Yes, although you might have bushes in weird spots and be dumped into the middle of plotlines
Once you play and save a day with those mods, those saves will be "modded" from then on (need SMAPI to open them)

If you launch the game from the command line, you'll get an actual error to debug with. Instructions for this are somewhere on the troubleshooting wiki page.
No, vanilla Stardew can still run and even recognize modded saves

As soon as i try to make a new character or load a save file the game crashes and kind takes me back to the chicken when you open the game then needs to be completely closed.

But my game without SMAPI doesn't runs
at all, it has the bug which forces you to go into the legacy version. The game is shown running at the task manager and Steam for just a few seconds but then it closes moments after.
My game (with SMAPI) is working fine and except for the 25 mins of loading screen loading the map , everything it just like the pre-1.5.5 Version.

ive gone to their area on other co-op farms and havent had this issue, its just on this one
and those saves the host has even less mods
most of mine are small cosmetic things

To give you an idea of what I mean - one modder in here had a mod mismatch of exactly one Json Asset mod

i fixed it!!!
took out 98% of the mods we didn't have in common, the only one i kept was a cosmetic one that just changed the visuals of some icons
@scarlet quail we figured out the exact reason my game would crash when i went to that specific area
we both have diverse stardew valley, but theyre running on an earlier version and had one of the variants of a character that added an npc, that i didnt have, and they were in that area

you have multiple copies of Expanded Preconditions Utility installed so you need to delete the extra folders

Hi folks, I have all the mods associated with SDV Expansion. I was playing with a controller and stupidly thought I could change the CJB cheats menu to X on my controller. This didn't work, which I don't mind. But now I can't open the menu.. cause the old button doesn't work anymore, anyone know how I would fix this? I haven't tried anything cause I'm afraid to ๐

hello, does anyone uses Balanced Valley mod (great mod!)? because I'm playing realistic farming, year 2 spring and I don't know when the red cabbage seed would be for sale.
red cabbage seeds are sold only by the travelling merchant in vanilla, unsure about the mod

after i load/make a new save, i try doing regular things (open quest menu, pick up starter seeds) and it freezes and closes the game

Well with no errors the other thing you could do is try figure out if there is an exact action that freezes the game. If it is when you claim the starter seeds or after that and so on
i mean it just happens a few seconds after i leave the bed
there's no specific action, i just move a bit, try to do anything and it freezes and crashes

You should be able to change the button back in the config? 
Maybe try remove recent mods you added till you find a compatibily issue. There is not much else to do, maybe someone already knows of one but you have a lot of mods that could break

My... goodness, that's a lot of duplicate mod folders
Your mods ain't loading, so your save is going nuts about missing npcs, which would have been fixed with error handler 
can i manually download error handler?
You have it already, it's just not loading because you have it twice

I'd recommend reading through all those red lines at the top underneath these mods could not be added to your game
Hum thats weird, when launching from stardrop there were no errors on the other log

- Error Handler because you have multiple copies of this mod installed. To fix this, delete these folders and reinstall the mod: Mods\ErrorHandler, Mods\Stardrop Installed Mods\My Mod Profile\ErrorHandler.
I'd slowly go through the rest of the red and seeing if the error still continues 
can you use the search function to see if there's another folder hidden somewhere?
ok so i think stardrop is installing every file that is inside expansions, which usually have mutiple ones as seperate mods and then when i install new version it creates duplicates

almost since day 1 i keep playong local co op both with male charechtere if it matters
using freelove both having multiple wifes
but the other player (the hosted one) can have kids without a problem
while me (the main player) getting asked it i want to have kids
say yes
and nothing happnes for many days
over and over
i troed deleting crib , putting it back, dying doing it all over again
nothing helps
do you know what can happen to cause this ?

Before you do any reinstalling, let me point out that it takes 14 days for a child to be born in-game. Your trace correctly identifies Leah and Sophia as Pregnant, and Sophia will give birth in a week.
I would play that week, then give us the log about the time Sophia would be giving birth.

Well, good news is unless you have a really problematic smapi installation, SMAPI keeps backups.
Go to your stardew valley steam folder or what have you (the local files), and there's a folder named save-backups
you'll see copies of all save files within it.
pick the most recent day stuff and look inside the automatically-zipped folders and you're good to go.

when you give a log, trace is hidden by default. When you look at your log, it's red. click "Trace" and it will go green
then search "preg" in the search bar on the page.
I don't know how recently you married everyone (nor how you married Robin, for that matter, but I'm ignoring that) but there's an in-game delay to being able to get asked to have a baby. Robin was barred from having children to start for that part.
The others are currently in-progress. If that counts down to 0 (the two weeks) and then Sophia doesn't have the baby, we'd need the log then.
depending on where your save backup brings you - if it goes back to the exact day you had it at, give a log after about 8 days, making sure to have played the last three in one session.
If it puts you a few days back, adjust.

it seems that way, yes. most, if not all SVE npcs, also Sorren who would periodically jump up in hearts after what felt like wasted effort I was able to befriend him. though the modded NPC Shiko seemed to have no issues
currently trying to befriend apple and lance, now apple is staying at one heart instead of 0 but is not gaining
host has not experienced any issues with hearts, getting their log now

I manage to solve this. Before the error is showing up, I'm using greenhouse mod and apparently the game doesn't like it (I guess) and decide to throw some error lines after Junimo done with the greenhouse and trying to sleep that day. Removing the mod and enable default greenhouse (IF2R) solved the problem.
Did you edit the DSV Add-On Pack - HopefulFox or config file? The warning is saying there's a problem with a patch for Jodi so it's skipping it. The problem could be due to a manual edit or config edit, but if you didn't do either of those things, then it could be something up with the code itself.

yeah so after updating smapi to 3.17, the UI is zoomed out. not too much that i dont survive with it but it's enough to be annoying. when i'm in windowed mode it's normal but in fullscreen it's still annoying and i have to manually fix it every time i go in the game.

For some people (including me) the game is overly zoomed out from what weโre used to unfortunately. But itโs basically bc of our computerโs DPI/resolution.
luckily, like i said, i can make it normal ingame manually, but it's annoying to have to do it every time. it's not the biggest zoom out either, just not what i'm used to
In-game, I basically now have my UI and zoom both set at 150%, to get the game back to what Iโm used to. The startup screen is still zoomed out but the 150% persists in-game once you go to sleep

I have tried playing around with different Windows settings and have not gotten anything to work so far. Iโm probably just missing something but I donโt know what and it seems like a somewhat niche issue. As long as I have the UI/zoom that I want in-game Iโm p much ok though I do sometimes miss my startup screen looking normal lol

i will also point out that i've heard save anywhere can corrupt save files, so maybe it's not super ideal to have installed if you can make do without it
if the title of SMAPI window says "selected" then it pauses it, by right clicking you unselect it and it continues

And fourth, TBH if you've done all of that I can't tell you that your mods are all actually working with current SMAPI.

when is it crashing? like is it when you enter a certain map? on startup? etc.
the first time, I was in the Mirror menu changing my hair, crash happened immedietly when I went to click the arrow.
Smapi said it was patched by Playground Mod and Fashion Sense. I removed playground mod and was able to change my hairstyle again.
second time, I was in the Chat menu to level up (Stardew RPG feature) and as soon as I hit enter it crashed
ok! (I honestly think this is beyond me unfortunately but hopefully that additional info will help someone else troubleshoot)

Yep, one of the game content managers is disposed.
The crash has happened 3 times now, 2 times involving the mirror for FS.
the first time it said FS and Playground Mod patched it so I removed Playground
Does it still happen if you temporarily remove every mod except Error Handler, Fashion Sense, its content packs, and the minimum frameworks it needs?

I have removed everything except for the exact items you said and the game is running and did not crash when I used the mirror.
Did it crash every time you used the mirror before?
Crash 1: Mirror Menu open, crash when clicking on menu arrow. Removed Playground Mod.
Crash 2: Successful usage of Mirror. Chat menu open using T, entered /levelup as per Stardew RPG usage. Crash on hitting Enter. Removed Perfection Tweaker (last mod added before Crash 1)
Crash 3: Mirror Menu Open, crahs when clicking on menu arrow.
So now clicking the menu arrow works fine? Does the crash come back if you re-add the mods listed under "Patched game code" in your log (and their dependencies if any)?
