yeah it's b/c you don't have something to extract it so it doesn't have any associated programs to give it an icon. I was trying to give you the simplest solution (download 7-zip) but this somehow turned into a mod manager conversation xD
no it's not your fault! If the only issue you're having is with this file, unzipping with 7-zip is probably the quickest. And you can look into whether you want to use Stardrop to manage your mods afterward. 
theres a lot of mods i want to use actually but getting them and figuring out to use them is very hard
7-zip is the best thing honestly for opening rar 7z and other compression files. once its downlaoded its easier to do stuff with it
specifically there is the korean building mods that i really want to download but i dont know how to i could show the video if u guys might know how

erm.... you can unzip something without having the file? that literally doesnt make sense...
it can open .zip files but not .rar files
you can only do .zip files natively
.rar and .7z are both better compression algorithms (saves more space) and often times require other software to decompress
if the korean buildings mod is on naver then you would have to have a korean phone number/passport with citizenship and a naver account. if its just on nexus downloading should be rather simple with manual download and then unzip using the stuff above. even then though if its an xnb mod its not a good idea to use especially if its older as game updates break those mods nearly every time
you can use naver from outside korea but you have to provide government ID

you also may want to uh... have a good translator on hand that isnt site translate as for whatever reason naver uses something that hinders translators from detecting it as text because its an interactive element

uhhhhh yeah thats a naver mod. the link to download is in the desc but you gotta have a korean government ID to download it
cause naver cafe is restricted to only people of korean residency/citizenship
if you ask someone who has access to naver nicely they MAY download it for you then send you the file but people have been asking so often that people have started refusing sometimes

omg so.... the issue was caused by a content patcher mod, however it was also caused by freakin "Controlled Folder Access" which wasnt working because even though it was whitelisted, the access permission ignored my whitelist -_- i still dont know what mod caused it yet but that couldent have helped considering the AV had 200+ cases of it in less than an hour...

like holy moly youve got multiple areas that are blocked with h-bachelors and earthy recolour and the cellar map mixed up tilesheets and the farmer retex isnt working either because the patch failed

to clarify, by seeds do you mean the seed packets in inventories or the planted seeds on the ground? and is it all seeds or just specific ones, and is the effect visual or do the objects/planted seeds actually disappear

In my most recent playthrough 1.5 spoilers ||i can't give kent the war photo it keeps saying wrong person|| smapi does not log any errors. I do have npc mods but i wanted to ask if anyone knows which mod it might be causing this before i try everything one by one

I just got back into modding and fixed my old mod pack which was outdated, smapi hasn't vomited or crashed or anything, It just mysteriously started having fps drops, it only drops by about 7 frames but it's noticeable enough to annoy me. It happened before as well, and nothing I did would fix it. It was running smoothly yesterday and It hardly used up all my ram and CPU! Now It's lagging and i can't figure out why!

There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.
On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.

How would you know the clashing and errors isn’t related to the trash because there’s a possibility it is
I said don't come at me over clashes unless it's related to the garbage can issue. If there are clashes then It is most likely duplicate items.

Based on your log, just a quick Search for garbage shows that the mod crashed and therefore probably glitched your trash cans closed

In general people in here are very against Vortex, simply due to how often it bugs out
I wouldn't be surprised if your problems with "getting it working" are related.
By the way, since you did ask on this one - PyTK uses older code and makes loading times hell. That's essentially what this means. Eventually it might not be supported anymore, even though Plato made an update to it.

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance.
You can disable resampling if you don't like the graphics smoothing. Personally I dislike it so I disable it myself, and still get loading improvements
I can try getting rid of it, it just depends on how many of the mods that I have depend on it. Hopefully, none of my favourites depends on it.

Have you checked if all your tmx mods still need tmxl? Romanceable Rasmodius doesn't need it and Flippsies Birdhouse has been converted to Solid Foundations iirc

Your log says you have the one that uses tmxl.
I would advise you to completely rebuild your Mod list. Just make a new folder, look for the updates on top of the smapi page and download them and then go through your mods. It will take a while but I think it's necessary in that case.

There are only two mods I know of that modify children across the board

Sorry, just past few days I've been internally (and sometimes externally) raging at how SVE's content.json handles spouse stuff since Free Love breaks it hard enough (not in a crash way, just in a "schedule break" way) I eventually said screw it and changed it myself
So thinking about any related to SVE content.json's giving me bad memories XD

The content.json you're looking for should just be in the Immersive Farm 2 Remastered Folder of yours

It did for me too initially. Then I finally broke after seeing Claire being unable to go to the resort and my other spouses not having their spouse dialogue and Daia's movie tastes broken and went on a two day code bender and fixed it all
Probably would have been longer but Airyn quick-coded the Ridgeside part so I didn't have to do it the long way XD

First, copy out content.json somewhere else in case of breaking. Per Vibel, you want to scroll down to the section that says //Load Greenhouse and FarmCave Interior maps, and delete the section about the Farm Cave (as well as the { before it and the }, after it)
because stardew progress is also telling me that i'm missing recipes from these mods

It crashed. My game freezes while it's loading and if I click anything it crashes. It's happened in every large modpack I've had on Stardew.

Mods take a long time to load and clicking on it during loading is basically guaranteeing a crash

or, well, don't touch anything after you click load
Grab a drink of water, browse discord on your phone, anything but clicking the game

I usually wait like 10 ish minutes sometimes up to 20 for a save to load. Unless SMAPI decides to throw up.
And when SMAPI throws up, you can kiss the log goodbye because it's too big by the time you figure out what happened.

Do you mean the "UpToDate" part? If so, I'm guessing that means you're current on your version of Mermaid Island (you have the latest version), so your version isn't out of date

Well top 3 are Spritemasterr, custom companions and Esca.farm type manager... they are head and shoulders above all the rest& that is pretty common.
I'm not so sure why FarmType Managerr is so high, but it is. I remember from my own profiler test that Custom Companions is required for one of your main mods & unless you are willing to dump it, that'll stay.

Now as to the numero uno SpriteMaster, probably if you turn off resampling it ought to go a lot qquicer

I'm having an issue phasing in to an area - should be at the end of the log. I'll be stuck on a constant loading screen (not frozen, the ellipsis still move), I can't seem to fix it. I'm troubleshooting the issue with the Museum expanded mod, but i'll come back if I can't figure that out. it's running slow but I assume it's because I have so many mods. I can live with it. Just the phasing kills me. only command I can get to work is the crane game lol. won't let me warp or end day or anything.

Yeah we had the same issue a while ago with someone. The issue was that there was a recent add of a Json Assets mod by their friend and that prevented the forest from loading, even crashed the game

im gettin a really strange bug on my bf save and i couldnt find a way to fix through the config. Basically, the skintone is not applying to the rest of the body, looking rather weird, this is the config hes using.
yeah unfortunately someone was having this issue with this mod a few weeks back and I don't think we were able to find a solution. the previous version of GH Peach's body worked a lot better than the current one which seems to be tricky to get just right. Unfortunately GH took down the previous version 😕

hi, i recently started to get back into the game but smapi isnt starting with the game only vanilla loads, i updated to the most recent version of smapi and already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, any troubleshooting ideas?
How do I properly use the unofficial BFAV update? Does it completely replace Paritees? Do I use it WITH paritees? I can't find any details
you can only use one version of BFAV at a time, so just install the most recent unofficial update. (Paritee is just the name of the original mod creator)
(caveat: if you use a Mac, it's my understanding that BFAV is broken and you can't use it)
I'm trying to use the "Arachnids", "Alpacas" and "Geckos" mods, but it's like Smapi isn't even trying to load them (Not getting any errors or anything)
hmm alpacas were working for me as of April? (I haven't used alpacas on a more recent save though). I feel like BFAV is a little touch-and-go at this point, so not everything might work unfortunately. Maybe a log would help with troubleshooting? but not sure tbh

If you're using Steam or GOG on Windows, you will need to set your launch options in order for Steam/GOG to automatically launch with SMAPI. Yeah, don't send log anymore, the problem occurs because the daisynikotilesheet references this waves however, these waves doesn't exist in vanilla version of DNT
Possible fixes for that is
A: Use a recolor mod (DNE, Eemie, Starblue, Vibrant or Wittily)
B: Make a map patch for the waves to reference to the beach tilesheet instead

according to ridgeside's mod authors, they don't touch vanilla assets, so its odd that this would happen, but it's happening. stuff is fine until ridgeside is installed, then the tiles break. nothing changes when i use recolors or not

hey ive been using pelican fiber... (the unofficial update) but ive also noticed that certian functions of the mod even with the update either dont work or are in the wrong place. Is anyone thinking about doing another unofficial update to fix some of these glaring bugs and issues? Including the entirety of the bundles catagory not working, crops being in the wrong place, pierres shop missing a few items, recipes being overly expensive with almost no reason to be etc? If there is anywhere I can potentially request this please direct me to the place!
So I am getting an error after the egg festival ends, and then when I go to end the day the game hangs forever instead of ever saving or moving on. Google seems to indicate this is related to NPC mods that use TMXLoader. Is there a list of NPC mods somewhere that use this so I know what to try and remove?

for the crop patch you can use noclip mode mod to remove it manually, for trees and bushes the reset terrain features mod. not sure about the shipping box, but maybe it's movable by robin, i don't remember

Realistically you shouldn't install new maps in prexsisting saves. It breaks things. If I went ahead and replaced IF2R later on in my new save It would be chaos.
Just keep that in mind if you find a farm map you like, but already have a built up save. You have an easier time if you just make a fresh save.

hey does anyone know how to convert xnb mods to files that can be seen in game. rn i have the 'stardewxnbhack' and it creates a folder called 'content (Unpacked)'. when i change the portrait files in that folder with files of the same format, the portraits arent seen ingame.

I think you need a town recolour specific to SVE, like Medieval SVE. I could be wrong though.

One recolours the vanilla pelican town and the other recolours the SVE added buildings to match!

There are a couple of visual problems with Way Back Pelican Pown though, if you find one then send a screenshot here and someone will help you with fixing it. Alternatively, you can check the posts section. Gwen has provided fixes for visual problems with Way Back Pelican Town.
I think it retextures the shipping bins, so you're good.
Plus it just looks way nicer with the earthy recolour mod.

spring_z_extras - it's a custom tilesheet that SVE "exports" to (Content/)Maps iirc (to make this a bit more clear hopefully, the tilesheet file is "physically" somewhere in SVE's content patcher part and it's Loaded to Maps via the content.json file, i'm pretty sure anyway)

The two don't play well with each other, as Hugs and Kisses assumes you're dating while PPAF is fully platonic

dunno really...in another save I'm at 8 hearts with several people and have given no bouquets whatsoeverr. The ones I have thought about possibly, someday, maybe marrying I smooch, the others do not seem to expect it

That sounds like it might be behind som of the cascading effects I've seen in logs
where some perfectly innocent little mod gets "blamed" for throwing errors due to prior conditions
though in this case it is specifically a multithreading race condition.

I'm having an issue phasing in to an area - should be at the end of the log. I'll be stuck on a constant loading screen (not frozen, the ellipsis still move), I can't seem to fix it. I'm troubleshooting the issue with the Museum expanded mod, but i'll come back if I can't figure that out. it's running slow but I assume it's because I have so many mods. I can live with it. Just the phasing kills me. only command I can get to work is the crane game lol. won't let me warp or end day or anything.

I think a fade to black/bells and whistles red error generally means the warp is broken....
the shuffle should only happen on updating, adding or removing json assets mods (and it's not guaranteed to happen anyway)
using the newer release of garden village probably fixes it
(the Custom_MainShops is a GV location i think and you have the GV release that still uses TMXL, where the location has a a different name)
there are some fruit trees where the black spots are, some of them are from mods so im wondering if i have to delete and reinstall these mods? im not sure what happened bc everything was fine when i logged off yesterday and i had no errors or updates needed in my smapi log when i loaded up this save
