Hey fam - would anyone know why my JA top isn't showing up in the load screen or cut scene events? It's been like this prior to the Pytk update (it's just a pet peeve of mine - if it can't be fixed then i guess it's not the worse thing being topless at the flower dance lolololol)
Ah, yeah, I really liked the idea behind chests and pouches and it does load on Android, but unfortunately I found the action of switching your equipped item to be too finicky with the mod on mobile since everything is touch controlled and trying to scroll through your inventory will make you open up pouches without intending to :( so I had to uninstall it unfortunately
Well JA clothes don’t show up in the load/save screen so that’s normal. That said not sure what’s going on at that flower dance 
ah amazing, I wasn't sure if it was normal or not with the load screen. It may be a flower dance mod I have interacting with it then hahah - thank you!!!
OH turns out I was thinking of item bags mod, I haven't actually tried cheats and pouches yet! Might run into the same issue, but I'll give it a try! Thanks for the rec

A patch export makes a copy of specific stuff in your content folder so you can see what changes have been applied.
- Load up a save (with Content Patcher installed)
- Type
patch export <FILEPATHOFTHING>in the SMAPI console and hit return - Look in your
patch exportfolder in the game folder for the relevant json file or image - If it's a json file, you can share it via smapi.io/json. If it's an image you should just be able to look at it.
And characters/farmer/shirts2
Which one does your shirt appear on?
(If neither, it may be in characters/farmer/shirts3
And so on)
ooo so i did the first export (without the number) and it came up as png but wasn't in there. But then when i added 1 to the end, my CP spit out all these errors. I can export as a json file? but could it be because i haven't updaed Pytk ect?

For players who want to use PyTK's scale up with SMAPI 3.15:
Open your game folder.
Open smapi-internal/config.json in a text editor (Notepad is fine).
Change the UseRawImageLoading option to false.
Install Content Patcher 1.26.5 (not 1.27.0 or later).
This may increase the performance impact, so you should only disable it if needed.

hi, I have a problem with starting stardew valley with smapi. When I start it I just get a black screen and it does nothing (when I start it without smapi it work totaly fine). Can someone please help me?

I see the console, but when it is done nothing happens, when I try to click on the game it just stops
And there are no errors in smapi? If not then maybe try waiting a bit longer.. otherwise no idea

Anyone ever been jump scared by the wizard absolutely sprinting through your farm in the middle of the night and then talking to you like nothing is wrong
he was running from the bus stop entrance straight left, and I caught him and talked to him and it stopped him. might be sometihng to do with Little River Farm map?
yeah it was fairly unpolished to start with, and then I went and "fixed" it, so it's entirely possible this was a bug that never showed up until now, or I broke something while "fix"ing. are there special settings for the warps for farm maps? I used the vanilla river farm as a reference but maybe I missed something
the farm maps have map properties like BackwoodsEntry that can be used to force the entry warp to take you to a certain spot on the farm regardless of what exit coordinates the entry warp has, but they shouldn't cause a problem like that, the farm is normally blacklisted for npcs and they can't path to it, so i think it's either something breaking npc pathing with a circular route (that could make the npcs walk wherever), or just one badly placed warp taking him to the farm accidentally (npcs don't avoid warps so they can just walk on them if they are in their path and be warped), or a bad warp making him go outside of bounds i guess

well Content Patcher loaded asset 'Characters/schedules/Wizard' (for the 'NPC Juna' content pack).

glad you could fix it! i was sure it was something silly like a bad installation or something you didn't notice/forgot or whatever, it's almost always something like that 
ah hm you right. I don't immediately see any schedule that would make him go near a warp to the farm, but oh well. It's not that big a deal if it never happened until Y2. if it happens again I'll investigate more. thanks!

it would be better if you also deleted their loading statements out of the content.json as well
so that smapi won’t throw errors that a file is missing

I downloaded the smapi downloader and it keeps telling me this once it reaches 85%
I deleted it and reinstalled it, nothing happened
Alex did that for me once
Chalked it up to an odd Market Day bug
(My farmer is also named Alex, so Alex the npc behaves oddly on market day. Like, he stands by my booth even though I have two hearts with him)

Do you have an antivirus and have you whitelisted the installer?
Windows has a built-in antivirus these days even if you didn't install one yourself

I've got a user asking for help, who says that he's getting errors saying that smapi couldn't find the .xnb file in the maps folder? There isnt an xnb file in my custom farm mod though, any Idea as to what's going on?
if it's missing a file it may interpret that as missing an XNB when it's actually missing a PNG or Json
Could it be possible that a firewall or something is eating a file?
cuz it works for me and the other users without errors

I'm new to modding and all these things so I wanted to try modding 
but when I tried to install SMAPI the windows Batch file opens for a split second then closes for some reason
I tried opening as an admin and this showed up
any ideas

I uninstalled/deleted all my mods that I had. i guess this means that I have to start from scratch on all my farms now?
i mean, that makes sense to me but i was hoping all the Expanded stuff would go away and I'd still have my farms. however.... apparently not. just asking so i can know for sure
Depends on how you uninstalled
If you had a bunch of mods that added modded items you should manually delete all of the modded items in the game, like if you had a mod to add Sapphires as a new rock in the game
Any fish ponds with modded fish in them should go
(You can empty the pond)
Divorce any modded NPCs
Keep SMAPI installed and it will help you out with de-modding your saves
You'll get some warnings as it removes NPCs
(Error Handler is an absolute must)

Ok, got the log, it says I have multiple copies of a bunch of the mods. Do I find these folders on my computer?

If you use Steam, you can also right click on the game name > Manage > Browse Local Files.

so, theres the error log. Its like, everything is doubled, or needs to be updated, but I loaded them today
Unless its because I did try to play modded a while back, but then didnt play for a bit and I uninstalled everything to start fresh, and then reinstalled. Maybe I messed something up doing that?
Looks like you have a folder named stardew expanded that has a bunch of duplicates in it
Maybe try manually deleting that one
You do also have a bunch of old mods around
So I think it might be from when you played a while back
You'll need to update Farm Type Manager
And there's something funky going on with PyTK
So I'm stumped. I'm trying to play SVE with PPJA and use the challenging community center bundles. I've changed the config in the community center bundle mod folder, but my community center is showing different bundles. They're not vanilla and I have no idea what mod is giving me these bundles. I even looked in the code for SVE, and even though it has code for bundles, it's all commented out, so that can't be it. SMAPI logs even show the challenging community center bundles load in properly.

ppja sve should load this for spring forage:
20x Daffodil

20x Dandelion
20x Wild Horseradish
99x Salmonberry
10x Spring Onion
10x Morel
20x Basil
the current forage bundle shown doesn't line up with vanilla, or SVE base, or any other CCCB pack
unless vanilla isn't one each horseradish, leek, daffodil, and dandelion anymore and i missed a memo somewhere dfjkghdfkjhgls
This might be slightly beyond my ability to help with as I don't usually touch CCCB, but if you start a new game is this the same?
Some things about bundles are set when a save is created

lune's orginal issue was that nothing was happening when lune used the horse flute.

Yes I checked but my horse flute doesn’t use any mod I think because I only spawned it with cjb item spawner
the horse flute is a vinilia item but the mod allows you to use the horse flute no matter where you are.

SM makes everything less-pixelly, or more-pixelly, if you tell it to
but it wouldn't be hard to just increase the size of things.
What PyTK does is a literal subset of SM's overall functionality.
I just don't expose it
I have some portraits that are zoomed in, in game. So they look really pixelated. If I zoom out the UI it helps but I'd have to put it at like 50% or lower for them to look nice. I'm not sure what to do. I use CP to load them since they aren't hi-res
I kind of expect her portrait to bounce around like the DVD screensaver

I was hoping there might be a CP setting or something I don't know about that would help. shrugs But turns out the vanilla portraits are the same way. They are just more clear-cut than the ones I use

heyo, so im new to the modding world in stardew :p and i made an oopsie. I tried uninstalling my mods because i wanted to go back to vanilla, but it wont load past the start screen, it just shuts down, does anyone have any mod experience that could help me?? 👀

but you should be able to start the vanilla game from your stardew folder without uninstalling any mods
BTW, that video took me a few minutes to write and have run, and about 20 minutes to get it to record properly and make an MP4.

Sounds like you might have to ask the AT mod author, it's best to have a list of reproduction steps

the mods folder was made by the xbox app itself when i clicked enable mods i think

Can you try following the steps again? Often when the gamepass install goes wrong it unfortunately needs pretty much a full starting over

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

I'm using Aster's bathroom extension. And the bathroom disappeared after the baby bed upgrade. The only I mods I have regarding the farmhouse are seasonal immersion, industrial kitchen, and Aster's beams. Are these known to conflict?

I'm talking about the SMAPI installation process, not mod installation. Long press the installer app and then click on "app info" then "permissions" and double that that this option is selected. Then redo the installation process.

So I am using quite a lot of mods. But I want to do a multiplayer with a friend, and we want to use the 4 corner farm map.
I have a mod for this farm that makes it completely different.
So, I want to know, can I remove this mod from my folders when I play multiplayer, and then put it back in when I play solo?
Or will my solo save get f*cked up from removing the farm map?
im trying to download the newest version of SMAPI (3.16.0) on macOS, and im struggling with it. once i open the installer terminal, it appears with a message saying "Oops, couldn't find the game automatically.

You can, as long as you don't load the solo game without the mods used there all is good

it doesn't necessarily tell what mod is the one causing problems, but it should give some information to narrow the problem down (the npc and/or the map that warp snitch gives are often not the cause of the problem)

so here is the issue that i just realized, the last few games whose logs ive been loading are from two saves which keep crashing but then i just loaded another save which the chracter is married to lucikiel and it saved just fine? tbh before i updated smapi a few days ago, my game wouldnt even load- like the terminal (i use mac) just didnt load it
then i updated it and it's fine, but two of my saves just crash the game in an ocean of red everytime i tried to sleep to save
And smapi is the only one you updated?
and just now i opened a save that wasnt the two and it saved just fine much to my surprise, which is funny cuz this save, my character is married to lucikiel, while the other two one is married to jio and the other is still single-
along with a few mods that needed updating (including pytk and tmxt) but from what little i could understand is i dont think it had anything to do with the mods updates tho-

Reinstalling RSV, Rolling back Pytk/Tmxl, rolling back Smapi?
try looking at the older loga tho, this new one doesnt have the problems i faced
also i just tried to save with one of the "corrupt" saves and everything saved fine(!?)
I know the latest pytk has a bit of a problem since a few people have been reporting here.
i'm gonna try load the jio married save now just in case-

Alright so update, after downloading warp snitch and opening my game and starting with my Genevieve save, sleep-saving had no errors, and then I went to "corrupt" save one, Avery, and sleep-saved, no errors, and finally went to the save that has been "corrupt" for a while now, went through three in-game days, no errors... I am confused as I am sus... but idk, if anyone wants to take a look into this log they can. Just a reminder it has traces of all three saves

I'm sorry if someone already answered this, but this also happened to me -- if you go to Robin and select "Home Renovations," she should have the option to add a room in the south (and several other free options which are reflected immediately!), and Aster's bathroom is attached to that southern room once it exists!

When I open the config file on notepad it only shows 4 options that aren't the ones shown in-game.

and you might need to save the game before it commits the changes to the file, i don't remember how it works exactly

nah, you'll need to install them again. just remove the old mod folders and install the new versions

If I move the window, the banner saying what day it is moves from the top back to the center again so it isn't completely frozen. weird since vanilla farmer base is fine and I've removed all mods changing it and checked with patch summary

You'll still have performance issues, but PyTK's scaled texture feature (e.g. HD portraits) will work again.
You can use them and they won't fail to work when SMAPI updates

I fixed a majority of associated issues and have tried (multiple times) to update the mods it says to, I updated SMAPI. The CCCB invalid had been there, but mod worked this morning. I mean.. nothing has changed since this morning when I played last. Also tried verifying game files

Ive tried to delete smapi and and re install it multiple times but the terminal comes up and says my last log in times. Everytime i reinstall it, it doesnt work, just says processing complete

I was just playing stardew valley and I restarted my computer and I'm trying to launch now and it's saying this, anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I only just started using mods for the first time the other day
I tried removing the launch options and restarted steam and tried launching again without the launch options and instead it will say this
Maybe try verifying files through steam?
I tried verifying it and it was unable to and I realized that it said it was in my E drive in those screenshots, even though the game was in my F drive lol. Not sure why a restart would break that though. I reinstalled the game and it fixed it :)

hello everyone! i recently decided to do my first SVE play through with a bunch of other mods nstalled too! i did check if they were compatible and none of them said they werent, and none of them seem do actually change SVE at all. but when i went to my game, new game, and pressed start, my game froze. any ideas?

I'm hosting a modded game with a couple friends, 1 local, 1 online. The local friend has no problems, but the online friend disconnects constantly. Anyone else have this issue? We play a ton of other games together and don't have this issue

i personally don’t recommend xnb localization mods, cause sometimes they don’t work! i’d recommend or you replace the xnb file directly (at your own risk) or you unzip the xnb file and make the png into AT
