uhhhh am I just unlucky, or is something broken lol
they don't spawn all the time
it doesn't look like the kind of problem you get from removing mods really. the music ids in particular probably aren't stored anywhere in the save
i think they have a smaller area to spawn and hence lower chances of spawning than in vanilla
i wonder if putting SAAT back in would do anything (without any content packs for it). it shows some missing sound ids differently than vanilla at least

hmm while i didn't do what that particular section said, changing the graphics settings to high performance seems to have fixed it. i have no idea whether it got switched on its own or whatever, but that's not important. Thanks a lot

Anyone know about BFAV mods? I'm using quails and goose, and despite the items showing up in the cb cheats menu. They're not laying eggs and someone just dropped a coffee I can't pick up. No smapi errors. I'm wondering if there's a fix for this as I cant find anything about it on the mod page, receive an answer from anyone there, and only one other person seemed to have had the problem.

A possible cause: there's a jukebox in the farmhouse of that save playing a modded track from SVE
So when I removed SVE, it's endless looping the error of the missing track

i updated to the latest PyTK and TMXL mod and other mod packs, and got this CP error from Lux's food mod. this didnt happen before
the latest pytk and tmxl updates seem to be not compatible, or at least they affect a couple of mods!

I had the same thing happen recently, I think it might be either a mod conflict or a bug in Bus Locations
The way to avoid it seems to be to verify that the bus is there properly before trying to take it

Split second transitions should always be there - the mod cannot resample instantly (it could but you'd see a hitch)

Okay so I'm wondering if someone c an help me figure out why my game is doing what it's doing? I've done a bit of testing and nothing has seemed to help. So for context:
Yes my smapi reads my mods folder as 1132 mods... but we don't have to talk about that as far as I have been aware none of the mods conflict, and I had been playing my save just fine until around the 25th(ish) of spring, where, when I play through the day, it crashes. (I'm aware I can't really complain too much about issues given... you know... 1132 mods) but I'm still wondering what's going on.
So, what happens is I load up the game, play through the day just fine, no issues, nothin, and THEN at the end of the day when I go to save, the SMAPI console spams green text that doesn't show up in the log, and then closes.
I've play tested a few things, including opening up a completely new save and saving the day and seeing what the console shows, and apparently it has something to do with Custom Fixed Dialogue. However, it doesn't happen with a new save which is wild.

by looking at the unparsed log and scrolling all the way down you can see the error I'm talking about which I'd have to wager a guess is what's crashing my game. Also ignore the Content Patcher errors, I removed a few sprites that change vanilla items from a mod I updated, that's not the issue it happened before this.

looks like the errors are from raffadax, did you update the mod recently maybe that has something to do with it

i have an issue with my game. i cant connect to multiplayer games despite the fact that im connected to wi-fi and after some time of having the game open the entire thing feezes up and i can't select anything, which makes me have to quit the application. after quitting the application my smapi terminal look like the picture below and i tried to update smapi but i dont know if it worked. im think of uninstalling everything and re-installing it. (when was asdding the picture both stardew valley and my smapi files had 'out of space' under it, could that be the issue?)

few days ago I ask for a problem with BFAV mods where modded animals doesnt produce anything. Today in stardew forum someone said that the problem is the game language, when is set to english the modded animals work fine. Do anyone knows how to solve the problem with the game language?
Not talking about the content patcher errors - like I said I did that on purpose. It changes the way pumpkin and poppy seeds look as well as daffodils, rainbow shells, and golden pumpkins and I don't like it so I removed the image files and the code that calls for it, those errors have nothing to do with why the game was crashing ):

@tired brook I'm not sure if you're familiar with this bug, but there's something where on MacOS the game will go haywire and get upset that the Stardew Valley file exists already. Do you know what causes this/if there's a fix? Here's a log from an affected player.
I suspect thé problem involves the special application folder being ill defined on mac and Linux

Where are you seeing a log with Raffadax errors?
i completed the community center and didnt get the steam achievement for it. im using smapi 3.15.1 and im getting other achievements just fine, but the community center one didn't register, even after the cutscene. i got the trophy, too. is it because im doing remixed bundles?

I believe they were referencing the content patcher errors with the missing textures while it was trying to pull them from the code, but i removed the changed textures because i preferred the vanilla ones - Raffadax is not actually the issue 😄

From clicking start to being in game took over 7 minutes. This time was 5 minutes and something. I didn't see the seconds. xD
Course I have Raff's mod and that take a LONG TIME to load. hint hint ; )
It loaded fine with no errors. But it also always loads faster after the first time. I'll time it again tomorrow with a fresh start to see.
My testing showed it pretty consistently ~25% faster
The version you have is also doing a bunch of pointless memory copying at the moment; I need to fix that too

Basically, it stages asset edits to pass them to smapi, which then kind of pointlessly copies it from one array to another and then writes to the texture

hi! I think I messed up in a Major way and im not sure how, game won't launch, and on the rare occasion it does, it immediately closes after recognizing my controller, I've tried everything

Save file just isn’t there, don’t really know why. Game is pretty modded and this recently started today, it ran fine last night.
It's not you, but it's been an ongoing challenge to fix in game. This should fix.

well, I got called in, so I had to get back online. it was none of those. turned out to be this new NPC mod that edits the area just to the right of the bus stop. it was updated to repair access to RSV & BH but somehow edited those map tiles by the town stairs? will report to creator.

gosh darn, I've made the mistake of updating my SMAPI, Pytk and TMXL and not having my DC Portraits work. I've read through the messages here and realised that uninstalling and going back to the old versions would work. I did that then half of my furniture mods didnt work. I WANT TO CRY, I have to live with the ugly vanilla potraits for now. Curse me for having over 300 mods. Has anyone found a solution yet (other than portraiture?)

Hiya! It seems like you might have resolved your issue, but let me know if that's not the case!
There is actually a way to integrate that MA cat into A&S, if you've yet to remove it. As a heads up, this will change all the skins that are currently assigned to any pets, animals, or horses, so note the ones you want to set again after the fix (though make sure to remove MA to prevent future issues)
In the A&S Config file, before starting up Stardew, set DebuggingMode to true (should be near the bottom of the Config file). After starting up your file like normal, enter the command debug_asreset into SMAPI. This will force A&S to check out every animal, pet, and horse it can find on all maps and give them IDs and skins. Then you should be good to go!

Feel free to leave DebuggingMode on after if you'd like. The only effect you'll see from leaving it on is that the SMAPI log will show more info and you'll have access to the other debug commands for A&S.
Hi, im new to this discord and am not entirely sure how it works. But i'm having some major issues with mods which previously worked well together. Basically I open the game and it runs fine, but when i want to start a new game it crashes straight after the intro. No error message occurs, just a frozen sky blue screen with 'loading...' on the bottom. I was hoping someone could help, and I might be able to provide more details too.

Sorry I got your response so late. For me the quails are not laying and I think they might actually be the one's dropping the coffee you cant pick up. I don't have another coop to separate them and test it yet The goose is dropping down, one of the eggs I put into the mayo machine came out as goose mayo. But I was pretty sure the goose eggs have their own sprite and are named as such. This seemed like a large white egg laid by chickens. I pulled a goose egg from the menu and put it in the incubator about 15 days ago now and it has yet to hatch either.

it's always good to have, you get it when you install smapi. but for the issue, it might take a while to start a new game, although i would expect few minutes at max with those mods unless the computer is weak. updating smapi, content patcher and other framework type mods might help with the time

how long did you wait? there seems to be steady patching going on for few minutes on the log and no obvious problems. it's probably not a problem with the game files, but you can verify them to check, it doesn't hurt

The game saves progress when the in-game day ends, i.e., when the farmer goes to bed, collapses from exhaustion, or collapses at 2am. All progress during a day is lost if the player quits the game without ending the day. In multiplayer, the game saves after all players click through the prompts at end of day and wake up in the morning.

So i've been downloading a bunch of mods for the pc and to my knowledge I didn't download one that takes away the ability to click anywhere on screen far from your character to attack/use in the direction they're currently facing, but something is making that happen.

Then I went down and any mod author that's got 5+ mods that are green (working, I guess) I've been downloading most of their mods that I like. were you using the JA versions of PPJA or DGA? The DGA version is quite buggy unfortunately. But the JA version should work fine. I've used it in my playthroughs.

yeah PPJA is not for the faint of heart 😂
You'll need to keep all the folders inside Artisan Valley
PPJA mods are basically made up of several framework packs to make the whole thing work together (JA, PFM, MFM) so you'll see folders with these labels. you need all of them.
So it would look like

This is what happens when you download too many mods without checking the game every now and again. I think I'm in trouble. Not only is the previous problem for me happening, but now the things my character shows when they get that raise above their heads-- they're all invisible. Seeds, geodes. Ugh. I wish the Vortex mod manager had a choice for seeing the time/order which you downloaded them.
Then I'd just probably start deleting backwards until it was ok again.
We tried. It's no big deal there. I could get used to playing that way if I needed to.

Also @timber frigate I found the mod that causes the tool issues and got rid of it! That's a relief.
The mod that was causing problems was listed as 'Power Tools,' but when you click on it the title page calls it 'Tooth and Nail'
It's due to the [] characters in the name; the log parser uses a regex to extract the [...] message header, so it gets confused by the extra brackets. I'll tweak it to support that case.

Anyone have experience with Custom Casks and Advanced Casks? finally decided to get the basement upgrade and downloaded Custom Casks and Advanced Casks so that I could use the PPJA goods, but for some reason the only thing being accepted is goat cheese. I edited the aging rate and that worked fine, but I'm getting an error that says the id's aren't being recognized (at least that's what I think it says). Am I just editing the files wrong, or are they not working together for some reason?

Hi all, I would like to edit the coordinates of Map teleport, does anyone have tips and tricks for me?
@gaunt gust I tested those two with PyTK and TXML installed. Took about 6 minutes and 33 seconds from clicking the game to being in game. But also noticed a windows security cloud scan thing popped up which has never happened before. I think that might have taken a bit to do but yah. Still about a minute faster than with the current versions of spacecore and JA that are on Nexus.
Anyone know how i pay my junimo? I’m using the better junimo mod and can’t figure out where i put the materials to pay them
Hello! A friend of mine downloaded the SVE mod, and we're wondering if it'll get in the way of us playing online/co-op, since I don't have the mod (and I host the shared game)
Unfortunately Yes.. if she goes on any part of the map on SVE that you don’t have the whole game will crash

Have her uninstall SVE when you two play together. Or you install it.
This is the only workaround unless you install SVE as well

This problem isn't specific to SDV, but I was hoping somebody here might have an inkling of how to solve this problem, or at least where to ask for help, because I have no idea:
For some reason, Vortex Mod Manager will not update my mods for me. Even when I'm 100% certain a mod is outdated and an update is available, I run the "Check for updates" action and it finds nothing, as if the mod was still up to date.
Again, I know this isn't an SDV problem, but I've scoured the Vortex user guides to find out where I'm supposed to ask about problems like this, and I can't [bleep]ing find it 
I don't use it so I can't say. I update all mine manually. xD Which can be fun when a certain someone (coughPathoscough) decides to upload updates to all their mods at the same time.

But I'd rather use Vortex myself since I use it for other games too...
mm vortex can cause problems but it might just be a manifest issue? I dont know how vortex works for sure
also mod updater only works for mods that have compatibility built in for it

so i've been messing with smapi and other mods, and i had a lot of trouble updating smapi. after it updated it would crash and not open, so i uninstalled it, cleared the launch direction and tried to launch the game normally, and now it refuses to open.
i looked it up and tried all the suggested fixes
yes, it still crashes
are there still mods in the mod folder?
can you launch stardew valley without smapi?
no, if smapi is uninstalled and the launch directions are cleared then the game just doesn't open

Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware. There are some instances where you will need to use the compatibility version of the game. Please be aware that SMAPI/game mods are not compatible with this version.
On Steam: In your library, right-click Stardew Valley and select Properties... > Betas > then "compatibility" under the dropdown.
On GOG: From the game's page, click the settings icon > Manage installation > Configure... > then "compatibility" under the Beta channels dropdown.
