It goes on sale a ton, so it's already cheap, for the content the game has and compared to other games, price drops, especially around winter time on Steam. I don't personally use GoG all that much so I don't know what it's sales are like, but I know Steam can go down to 75% on it's winter sales. Should try to get it at around that time!

SM is just doing GC (which involves a lot of purging of MonoGame resources behind the scenes)
It does a season purge if there's a season transition as well

im using horse overhaul mods...there seems to be stutter every few minutes while riding horse
i'd try removing solid foundations (someone had the same error before and it might have been SF related)
iāve basically run 500+ mods on this one save and i switch through them a lot; even currently at 250. not surprised itās messed up my poor husbandās room.
i fixed the issue with harveys room; iām trying to troubleshoot it myself as this is a weird & mainly unique bug iām having.

all available files for that mod seem to have been uploaded in 2021+. at that point, Stardew 1.5.x was a thing, and Android is still stuck at 1.4.x - you won't be able to use it

So I got the issue that if I play two days in a row, on the second day my game crash/disappears at night. I get the "level skill up" screen, but not the selling screen, and there's no crash report. Both SMAPI+SDV just straight up disappear. There's nothing in my log either.
I thought it was Market Day, but I disabled that one and it is still happening.

AT doesn't really interact with the shuffle afaik
Your iGPU should actually be really fast to copy data to, because it's RAM to RAM
(note that "quest shuffle" is a seperate thing with quest framework as far as I can tell)

Hi all. I got an issue when I installed the Farm Extended mod to increase the size of my farm. It borked up the SVE Secret Forest and it looks like the old Secret Woods map. Do I just grab the SVE Secret Woods map and replace whatever happened, or so I gotta do something more?

If you're using a non-Stardrop mod manager and ask for help troubleshooting, we probably can't help you if the issue is related to the mod manager. You can try asking the mod manager servers for help instead. If you're using Stardrop, please remember to provide a Stardrop log.

look at the Content Patcher section - you can't have both Farm Extended & SVE. you need to remove one. do you have 2 separate farm expansion mods? farm expanded and farm extended?
it's also saying there's an empty folder in SVE, delete and reinstall SVE if you are going to keep it

Yes I got both Farm Expanded and Farm Extended. I was sorta wondering where "Farm Expanded" came from anyway.
it's two separate mods to expand your farm. SVE is something else
so you definitely need to remove Farm Extended if you want to run that with SVE
I did the next best thing, which was deleting the Farm Extended mod. So far it seems to fix the problem with the Secret Woods being borked. I'm a little sad to lose out on all that extra space, but I'd rather have a smaller normal farm than to fubar my save file.
It's unfortunate I can't run both, but thanks for confirming the issue.
check out Stardew Realty - I haven't tried it personally, the description says it's compatible with SVE
there are also other custom farm maps that work with SVE that give you a larger farm map

I've been using Waterfall Forest Farm lately, it has 2 variants. it also has an amazing farm cave - you can do mushrooms with Demetrius, and the cave will still spawn fruit. plus tillable areas for a greenhouse early-game

a few months ago i binge downloaded a ton of mods, and ever since then iāve had this error. i tried deleting and redownloading Json and SMAPI, plus uninstalling and reinstalling stardew valley, and nothing worked!
so i recently got a new pc and installed stardew on it, moved my mods from my old pc to an external hard drive, then to my new pc. i figured maybe it was just some glitch with my computer or something, but iām getting the exact same error on my new computer now. and again, iāve tried deleting and redownloading Json and SMAPI AND uninstalling and reinstalling stardew on my new computer, and still nothing. š¦

get dressed is obsolete and get glam is buggy for 1.5, i recommend using fashion sense

@tired brook This shows up every now and then with people who have two copies of a mod, and the first doesn't have the dll. They get the error message - Json Assets 1.10.4 because its DLL 'JsonAssets.dll' doesn't exist. but the folder labeled Json Assets does seem to have a dll, and don't think to look in the completely unrelated folder. Would it be possible to reword that message to something like "its DLL '{dll}' could not be found in folder {folder name}"?
so in this case, there's probably just a copy of ja's manifest in PetSpawnLocation
Well, the issue is that SMAPI found two mods claiming to be Json Assets, and refused to load both. It doesn't know whether the DLL does or doesn't exist (or whether it's valid), since it aborted at the manifest scanning stage.

The DLL doesn't exist one is unintended though, I'll have to look into why that one happens. Can you send me a zip of the Mods folder?

I suspect you accidentally copied JA's manifest over to PetSpawnLocation at some point, you could try just reinstalling that mod

If you want to get 100% on the fishing stat you can use perfection tweaks to change the number of fish required

I used the debug command to watch a Sophia event that requires you to be in year 1 (I'm in year 2). Once the event ended, I was teleported here. I can't move in any direction, just makes me run in place. I want to continue the day. Is there a teleport command?

My first recommendation is to remove both SAAT mods and see if that does anything. But I'm likely spewing nonsense š

Yeah, just create a new farm.
This might be save corruption based on the ParseInt errors
The specific errors are related to NPC's "favorite items", and the game is failing to parse that properly. It's expecting a number but is given something other than a number.

So start a new farm and try to sleep immediately. I want to see if this is save corruption

So, if you're able, I'd try removing some of those mods. But make a backup of your save file before you do this.

hmm, I have not played multiplayer before so my knowledge is limited but can you try downloading the same mods as your friend to see if it still persist?
The game completely breaks in multiplayer if you donāt have the same mods; I had my friend join my save for a bit and his game crashed when he entered a location a custom NPC was supposed to be. I suspect that your game crashed upon trying to render the GetGlam asset.

You can open up the content.json of the cp sve folder and search for leahhouse.tbin and mountains.tbin (should look like the image) and then change .tbin to .tmx

Hello, I'm using Ace's Expanded Farms, but no matter which recolor I use, the tiles around the top of the waterfalls and the ladders leading into the water remain vanilla. Everything else is affected perfectly. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

hmm i think i need some help figuring out why the "add shiko to npc adventures" mod isnt working
i know that its quite outdated so i took the latest 0.x version of NA, looked at the documentation to make sure everything thats needed is present in the shiko addon, the game loads without errors or skipping

auto grabber and auto petter are supposedly acquired in Joja route. in SVE , you get auto grabber in marnie once you have enough hearts with her. with this mod, you are able to get auto petter as well, as you finish her weekly quest
both items are vanilla machines ignored most of the time because of Joja route

Saves and mods are kept separately. SMAPI will tell you if a mod changes how saves are made. Saves are made at the end of the day, so if you have issues with a game, avoid going to sleep.

I'm having some weird issues with product inconsistencies when using Quality of Life's "Quantity over Quality" setting and Walk of Life's Artisan profession. Kegs, jars, and looms all behave as expected, but it looks like for some weird reason mayo machines and cheese presses give different results based on whether I'm loading items into them by hand or whether I'm using Automate to push them from chests.
Anyone else noticed this?

If you're running any expansions, white screens of "Not Responding" are normal. Just give the game some time to think. 
That or your PC is a toaster. Both applies. 
It can take me 7-10 minutes from clicking start to being in the game. But then again I have a LOT of mods. xD

I mean, I have it on with a lot of other mods and my game takes like less than 1 minute to load
try spritemaster for loading time...it takes longer the first time you run it, because it takes a minute to set up. you can disable the smooth rendering if you prefer the original aesthetic

I had, but I have a TON of other mods to update. I've been putting it off cause I wasn't sure how the latest smapi would affect older mods I have that are on "unofficial" updates only. Like BFAV. But I also still use PyTK so that increases loading times.
For some reason when I cook using LoC it doesnāt show up as cooked in the menu ( the menu in your inventory where you can see the dishes u have)

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong in setting up mod groups? In my Steam stardew folder, I have Mods, Mods_Expanded, and Mod_Multiplayer.
I've created, as per the wiki, shortcuts that have something like this in the target:
D:\Games\Steam\steam.exe -applaunch 413150 --mods-path "Mods_Multiplayer"
... And yet whether I open the Expanded, Multiplayer, or Single Player shortcuts (they're all sutiably configured), they all seem to only be targeting the normal Mods folder. It shows 251 mods, which is what I have for my single player folder... the expanded folder should have a whole lot more since I've thrown in Ridgeside, Expanded, East Scarp, and quite a few others that I figured might be compatible.
So i've downloaded SMAPI with 1 mod, but when i launch the game the screen is pretty zoomed in then before, is there a way to fix that?

@stray spire Sorry for the ping, but I was wondering - I've been getting some wild inconsistencies using Walk of Life, Quality of Life, and Automate in tandem with each other, namely regarding the overhauled Artisan profession interacting with QoL's "Quantity over Quality" function. (Specifically, if I load large milks into the cheese press, they'll use vanilla behaviour if I put them in by hand and QoL's behaviour if I use Automate. Large eggs in the mayo machine use QoL's behaviour if I put them in by hand, and vanilla behaviour using Automate.)

hello! i have been having this issue of not being able to save while sleeping. Everytime i go to bed, it shows a black screen and the game freezes. i have the game in steam. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. i dont know which mod is causing this, could someone help please?

the problem with Save Anywhere is that it tries to manually save all of the game state
so it's better to just play the day and save when you sleep

and i for some reason, the prismatic tools dont appear in my CJB item spawner

Well I found the solution to my issue. Apparently I can't do mod groups with the steam applaunch method? It only worked if I called the smapi executable directly, with the mod path argument. I guess they both get to the same place, but I had hoped to tie it to the steam method to make sure that it behaved appropriately with steam achievements.
fwiw, I think you get achievements as long as steam is running in the background

1.5 made the shipping bin moveable, so you're probably using a mod made for 1.5 on mobile

i have grandpas farm not immersive
remove grandpas farm or immersive farm
those are optional
they are meant as replacement for the default farm
they are not necessary to run SVE
just install SVE without the optional map
need to install this as a mod, and not a replacement of immersive professions, yes?
Hmm. I'm confused. I've installed Stardew Expanded and am fairly certain I've gotten all its requirements -- no missing dependencies in error log. When choosing to start on Grandpa's farm, I'm not seeing the new intro event that I keep seeing when people play expanded on Youtube, about how it cost this much to repair everything, etc, etc etc. I just get the normal intro event. Am I missing something obvious?

not many JA mods are ported to DGA, and 1.6 adds the ability to add custom items which will fix shuffle

earg i am going crazy. Completed community clean up but never got fiber seed mail from linus never get to see the cutscene too. Check up shows that quest as completed. Took out all the mods and there was stil no mail from linus. Smapi doesn't threw any errors
is there a mod or save editing i can do so i will get the quest again?
issue appears to mostly be fixed, but large milks are still only providing 1 cheese (matching input quality) when loaded into the press via automate
loading them in by hand gives the expected number of cheeses
also the other quest i did was pierres. Never got the mini shipping bin too but i guess i haven'T seen the cutscene yet and iir he sends the shipping bin after cutscene

i checked jus in case game didn't register the quest as completed and that was why linus' masil didn't arrive

Hello i just joined cuz i was having issues with the aquarium mod. Specifically the mod that is required for it. The antisocial NPC's mod is making me mad. Every time i try to launch the game i get an error saying that ASN's (antisocial NPC's) mod didn't launch because the antisocial.dll failed to work.Im on smapi mobile btw. Is there any way to fix this?

If antisocial.dll isnt in the sve folder sve wont work
But if it inst in the antisocial folder the antisocial npcs mod wont work either
The only copy of antisocial should be in it's own folder
AntiSocial/antisocial.dll SVE should use that copy automatically
If it still says you have multiple copies, then you need to find out where the extra copy is and delete it
There may be a copy in Stardew Valley Expanded/AntiSocial/antisocial.dll or something like that
Okay, good. Then the only remaining copy should be in its own folder under Mods
What's the error you're getting currently?
Because the last one I see is about multiple copies, I wouldn't expect it to complain about that anymore if you deleted one of them
That's progress. AntiSocial is no longer the reason Stardew Valley Expanded won't load. Now the issue is the version of Stardew Valley Expanded that's installed is not compatible with the version of SMAPI for Android.

I think they may have instructions. It has to be whatever version they had when the last mobile version was released.
THat may be the right version
so, to hazard a guess:
- the old SVE dll directly referenced the bundled antisocial
removing it broke those references
BUT having those references will break Antisocial from loading on its own
might be worth just straight removing the requirement for antisocial from aquarium

could it be bc i have never seen the special order board event? but special order board still showed up and works normally. I thought maybe it was I didn't go into town on fall 1st

You can try updating SMAPI to the mobile latest
But some mods just arenāt mobile compatible
in SMAPI summary you have 3.7.5, the mod need 3.7.6
so maybe update your SMAPI

okay, open the folder SMAPI 3.15.1 Installer
but you need to move the folder somewhere else
so move it first somewhere then open the .bat file inside that folder
for the .bat file instructions
just follow from Run the SMAPI Installer:
unzip it in downloads and open the folder

rename it like Stardew Valley_backup.exe or so to your liking
then rename StardewModdingAPI to Stardew Valley.exe
scroll down from where you are looking
normally you do if you see it
if you dont see .exe, then you dont have to
based from this, you can see .dll and .exe, so you need to include the extension too
try running stardew valley
and see if a console window shows up
