Forearm is fine for tattoos. They all eventually get a little blurry over the years but getting it down properly and sunscreen/long sleeves will preserve it the longest. -signed person with tattoos of 3 weeks, 5 years and 28 years old

Outside wrist less sensitive too tho I have two on inside wrist and they weren't bad

An introduction to the: Slimes
Slimes are one of the most common types of monsters you will find on your journey, as there are many different types of these gelatinous blobs all over Stardew valley and beyond.
BASICS:
MALE AND FEMALE SLIMES:
While almost identical to each other male and female slimes still need to produce offspring, and while I will not cover that here, I will tell you the main defining factor of a male and or female slime and it is that males have a sort of antenna on top of their head. (imma fix this bit later

LARGE SLIMES:
This slime is an amalgamation of several or more small baby slimes
This type of slime is formed as a way for baby slimes to protect themselves from external threats and can range from any of the basic type of slime.

GREEN
While cute and cuddly in appearance they are still dangerous.
The green slime is the most common type of slime, you often find in the earlier floors of the Mines, and some have even claimed to have sighted them in lurking in the trees, near the strange man’s tower, in the western side of the valley.
FROST
This slime over the ages, in the colder parts of the Mine, has adapted becoming less gelatinous and more fragile and blue.
The blue or frost slime while still common is more rare than its green counterpart, only appearing in colder more frozen parts of the mine. Although, some studies have shown that slime is good at adapting to the temperature of the climate so wilderness slime could possibly transform into a frost slime.
SLUDGE
The extremely high temperatures at the lowest part of the Mine has caused this slime to become almost as hot as the place it resides in.
The red slime or red sludge is the most rare of the slimes in the Mine, located in the lowest part of the mine, although it has been very poorly documented cause of how hard it is to find. it has been alleged that its tremendous body temperature can melt the skin off bones and can even smelt the ores that surround it
PURPLE
This slime after spending possibly eons with the rare and magical mineral known as iridium has grown extra deadly and has turned a formidable regal purple
The purple slime is the only type of slime that resides in the mysterious Skull Caverns but that’s all that is known about it right of now.

UNIQUE SLIMES:
These slimes either have unique looks or abilities.
YELLOW:
In rare scenarios a yellow slime occurs when an otherwise normal slime suddenly turns yellow boosting its ability to fight.
When a normal slime transmutes into a yellow slime it almost triples the strength and durability of itself.
Note: it seems to be unable to transmute other unique slimes.
TIGER
This slime has adapted to its jungle habitat and has developed unique black stripes on its orange body to strike fear into those who oppose it.
The tiger slime is one of the strongest types of slimes. using its experience in conflict to harm any wannabe adventurous who come onto Ginger Island
Note: The red sludge also calls the depths of the volcano on Ginger Island home.
BLACK
No one quite knows who or what turns slimes black or why it only happens in slime hutches.
Other then turning the slime black it does not change how it moves or acts, some say its cause of a possible genetic malfunction some even claim it’s witchcraft, but most agree its harmless.
COPPER
A more recent discovery in the study of monsters and more specifically slimes, is the 2 new mineral based slimes, this brown one being based off copper ore.
Being the fastest slime in the slime family this one is often hard to catch especially when it is sliding through the small crevasses of its quarry home.
IRON
The older and slower brother of the copper slime, the white shiny iron slime while being stronger and more durable cannot outrun a human. being half as slow as its basic green family member.

I'm a complete noob to pixel art, so I just took a photo and used it as a base. I've tried making it more SDV-looking, but it just looks kinda uncanny/frankenstein because parts of it are too realistic, and some are too cartoony. I'm thinking it's especially lacking that rigidity of SDV that I'm not sure how to "add in" now that I'm so far into it. Do you guys have any tips?

I’d recommend Sketchbook if you’re using an android or IOS. If you’re using a pc or Mac, then I’d recommend Krita.

hmmm I'd recommend finding art with lips that appeal to you and saving them to a folder. Just collect them over time and then when you have a bunch to reference you could figure what it is you like (or dislike) about some.

My only other advice is try to expand beyond one style/form but if there's just that One Type you want to focus on then at least you know that

I used to feel the same way, but if you start documenting what pleases your brain you can catch a pattern and see what it is that you like. Then it's just a choice if you want to incorporate that in your art or not.
