The image thing from the planner doesn't work for me for some reason, so I took one manually. I'm working on implementing this now, and have most things up. How does it look?

The latest plan change was to put a shed to the left of the main house, and put machines in there. Currently I have some furnaces and chests to the right of the house, and in front of it. Doesn't look too hot, but it's rather practical I must say

I wanted a more 'natural' look than clear stone or wood walkpaths everywhere, so I've spent a biiiiig chunk on crystal floors, and more will come. I kinda like the look, although the yellow-ish underbrush isn't so nice. So in that sense I understand the parking lot kinda design I see many use

My suggestion is, if you want pigs, a bigger fence area for your barn is great. Once you get pigs it’s nice for them to have more space to dig for truffles 🙂

depends on what kind of look you want! It looks great so far. Chests/kegs/machines can be put in a shed eventually if you'd rather not have them on your farm. also the trees with tappers can be planted elsewhere eventually too if you want more room for other things (I usually clean out the quarry and plant them there with tappers). Like Mystic said if you plan to have more animals you'll need to expand your coop/barn space (also fyi if you have ducks there is a chance for them to go swimming if they have access to the water)

It has 9 more coops than last

as well as the silos to support 4 day intervals

which means I iwll make the money much easier

It took about 2 hours to make as I had to consult in game stuff while at it too to make sure everything worked and here it is

Gosh, wish I had bought a trailerload of coal before year 1 ended (if I had the money for it at the time, don't recall tbh). Stone is an issue too, but coal is the biggest bottleneck, in my experience. I bought 500 coal earlier, and despite trying to conserve a bit, it's all gone. And that's after quite a few trips hunting dust sprites (with the burglar ring).

And since wood is kind of an issue too, I'm a bit hesitant to build a bunch of kilns and toss wood in there.

Short answer, it is a randomlly occurring event in fall where a full grown pine tree I believe will turn into a mushroom stump and grow in spring. If u want a mros detailed algorithm approach, I can send it to u if u want lmao

Any oak/maple/pine tree that without a tapper has a very low chance of becoming a mushroom tree in fall. Otherwise, you have to buy seeds.

the planner wasnt updated to include that BUT if you turn off build restrictions (via options tab) you can then build over the greenhouse, and putting two sheds one above the other + 6 tiles in front (as shown below) takes up the same amount of room as the greenhouse, so that can be used to represent it

I think this might be helpful to those who are trying to prioritize quantity over quality with kegs. I wanted a layout that allows access to every barrel (i can't stand the extra time to access barrels trapped near the wall), which in turn makes it easy to check daily or every few days. I feel like it makes it less time consuming for flipping cheaper wines or juices. With this layout you get a total of 148 immediately accessible barrels with only 6 trapped against the wall that can be used for crops that take significantly longer (which means you have to break those barrels less often.)

it's by no means a complete layout, it would be an adjustment to my current farm pictured above that. I'd have more fruit trees planted and I also like things symmetrical. Money was never an issue on that farm for me either so a little open space doesn't bother me.

You can just take a fancy screenshot of the whole farm using a button in-game.
Stand outside on your farm, open your pause menu, go to the options tab, scroll all the way down, click the camera button. There's also a button to open the folder where the picture you just took is saved.

if hops are the best crop to put in kegs then this is the (or one of the) best layouts for the greenhouse. Blue= surrounding tiles - dark blue=iridium sprinklers - brown=pathway - green=hops (to get to every hop you have to break the sprinklers in your way and then put them back)
