thanku
I'd add some torches either on the flooring or on top of the fence to see better at night. Easy to have these early game. @lapis edge
oh alright
im gonna craft those rn
i didnt know you could put torches on top of fences
thats cool
I hide them in the bushes
Feels so goooood
It looks very cute and i like a lot how you mixed the different paths.
Forestfarm is a great choice for your first playthrough and you will have plenty of wood and especially hardwood. Most people i know, say that the forest map is lovely balanced and has everything.
My Tipp would be, just play in your pace and enjoy the game in your way, so that you have the most fun
Early on, when you are out of energy, you can still use your scythe to cut fiber and get some mixed seeds. Or you can go around the map and search for forage.
Fishing is great to make money early game, so if you need help with fishing, just ask us
@eternal crag You leveled up to Cowpoke. You can now speak in our voice channels and share images in all channels!
And the brown crops are not dead. Its just how the spring seeds look
They are not dead, dead crops look different. Maybe dont give Tipps to a beginner, when you dont want to look properly.
tysm
I think you cant get them on the switch and with controller, if you play with a keyboard, its totally fine
Sorry I was mistaken, but there's no reason to be rude.
Its not meant rude, just protective, when one is starting up. Imagine they believe you and then kill the crops you encouraged them were dead
Scarecrows cover 8x8 for future reference, here is an image that makes it easier to visualize, at least for me ๐
thanks
anyone have a good flooring that looks both natural yet clean for the roads on my farm? the paths look too rickety for that kind of stuff.
what's the name of the floor tile?
hous
I love the crystal path. Kind of expensive cause it uses quartz but really pretty. Similar to the cobblestone but a little more color. I do it in rows of 2 cause it's even better that way
i personally looked at it, and don't like it
it's far too cold looking considering i want a warmer looking farm
has too much of an industrial color
Did you try it out or just look in the crafting menu
tried it out, didn't like it much
Sad. I think it's the prettiest lol
it's a cold blue and if i was going for a more modern looking base i would use it
It has more color when it's 2 by 2. Idk why
Oh lol I actually hate it on my molded colors
Moded
Does anyone have a layout for their hill-top farm? I figured it'd be cool but it IS really hard to decorate here
The river is just so ugly to look at
any tips for this? i kinda just winged the crops, i forgot that sprinklers existed
how do you screenshot the whole farm?
There's an option in the game setting while you're in game. Just scroll to the bottom of the list.
it doesnt ss the whole thing tho
You can check the pinned message in this channel for more info
okie
When you spend your entire life savings on 4 statue and a vintage clock
I saw someone on reddit plant trees next to the river and it made it look supercute and lovely
https://www.reddit.com/r/FarmsofStardewValley/comments/pbbtuq/finally_done_with_my_hilltop_farm_spring_year_6/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share this was the one i really liked
If you want to see more examples, you can search the farms of stardew reddit for hilltop
anyone have layout for 4 corners?
this sorta ig
it was unfinished
only in summer year 2
abandoned it
ok ty
How do you take a photo of your whole farm like that
theres a screenshot option/camera icon at the end here
right at the bottom of that
it even has a button that sends u to the file its ss on

This was my first ever save file since SV 1.3 that I completed, so there were a lot of renovations that happened.
Decided to do a farm tour (plus the island farm) before I retire from this save. I'm...
Here goes my farm guys
hello! does anyone have a forest farm layout to share? iโm looking for some inspiration lol
does anyone know the name of this floor?
the wiki has a list with floors. Maybe the list can help you
ye, i searched but i didnt find
wait it could be the Straw Floor
I think its the divider
U can get them in the catalog of furniture for 1.5
i dont think its
It actually looks like it
When it's only a line
This is so beautiful! Makes me want a standard farm!
yeah that's what I meant. I even bought it to check it. Wait a secound i look if it is
yes it's the straw floor when it is on a line. you can buy the recipe in the Carpenter's Shop for 200g
I decided to change my whole farm layout, it's looking like this now
But the image doesn't show 4 sheds on the white parts
Hahaha happy to hear that
Beautiful, I love how organized it is!
It looks soo good.
Thank you
Absolutely stunning my friend, well done! ๐ฏ
Haha thanks
oohh, really, tysm
your farm is also so cool. Can I may ask u in which year you are?
Year 5
I took a picture of my farm at night just in case someone was wondering how it looked
Here it is
I'm in year 2 but my farm looks even for year 2 like garbage๐
Hahahaha my year 2 farm wasnt even decorated
Holy smokes! thats a beautifull farm
I think it looks at night even better then at day
Ikr
im on day one i just bought this game T-T
Hahaha good luck on your gameplay
the first days were for me the most boring days
but I don't regret that i kept playing
love the obilisk placement!
For me the first days are really hard with so little energy I couldnt do anything in time
Thanks !
yeah... I have 3 farms because I wasn't motivated and restarted always. ๐
I'm so awful at decorating so I really admire yalls beautiful farms ๐ญ
I never know what to put outside to make it pretty! And kind of regret using the 4 corners layout because it feels so restricted in terms of layout/space
I get alot of inspiration from pinterest, can recommend :p
In my whole stardew valley playthrough I usually always ended up using cheating mods and then never playing the game again so I try my best to not use mods
Got any ideas for forest farm designs?
if you type it in pinterest or even google there is some great stuff
I think I saw something similar on YouTube once probably just a coincidence, but it looks really good
Yea I took some of that lol
This is my friend's 4 corner map
He said we would play together but never invited me ๐
nice and organized
I also got a great house design idk if I can find it
Oh wow I love that
My 4 corners map looks awful
I like my top right corner a lot
But the rest are bad
I love it when the slime hutch dosen't look out of place
I know right it's like it has it's own spot lol
I wish that we could have different slime hutchs styles. like a brown or white one. On my farm would it really look out of place
Yeah I might move my slime hutch to match that layout, it looks nice there
I'd love a nice, off-white brick color for the slime hutch
dis my house (dont mind leah)
or one which is gray and over it moss. It would look so good
the house also looks soo good. How can people have so much fantasy? In my house are just the furniture from festivals or from gunther๐
haha i had like machines all over my house and thats when i decided that i wanted to decorate it so i took them all and put them inside a shed
@gloomy pine You leveled up to Cowpoke. You can now speak in our voice channels and share images in all channels!
nice
nice spicy eel haha
hahaha didn't know where to put it, besides, it looks cool
Yeah my house is super plain ๐ญ I tried to make it pretty but I'm not that creative with furniture
just copy mine lol
haha not a problem
All these upgrades can be done with base game and no mods? If thats the case then ive got a while to go :xd
after you upgrade to the baby room you can add more rooms like the one you see on the right corner

This is my second world on Stardew, just started my 3rd year... any ideas or suggestions to fill up my farm more?
Awesome! Thank you so much
Im on like year 3 and theres still so much to do lol
honey, trees, more barns, grass, and silos, fish ponds, sheds, fruit trees
Alright, thanks!
Hopefully a update one day will let us paint the remaining buildings on the farm: Hutch, silos and mill.
Slime hutch is so ugly
^^
dewit
Does anyone know a good multiplayer farm design? we're new and i wanted to decorate it but couldnt think of an idea
not sure why there's so much empty space. Not pictured: the baby on the way
the master bedroom has a lot of extra room for decor so if you have suggestions I'd love to hear them
on some festivals you can buy some plants. That could give the room more personality. robin sells some cool Furniture too
you can put more tables in the kitchen or some sort of entrance or small bar near the cellar entrance
Google images and Stardew forums are your best / fastest route. https://forums.stardewvalley.net/forums/valley-showcase.15/
Are you proud of your layout in your farm, house, shed, or any other wonderful place you can think of? Feel free to share it here!
mmmmushroommmm
Super pretty! Love it!
ty i finally decorated it lol
it looks soo pretty. It looks really good
If u decorate ur fruitbat cave then how u get fruit?
They're probably at a point in the game where they have all their fruittrees so the batcave is kinda pointless.
i need inspo for my farm im redoing it
omg this is so cute
Where ancient fruit
working on it currently
Does anyone have a good crop layout for forest farm? I want to fit as much as I can for (hopefully) my last season pre-GI
i placed pumpkins everywhere in the meanwhile lol
finished redecorating the house
Love the double rug look on either side of the bed
Oh my gosh, itโs so cute and the consistent green really keeps the whole house feeling more cohesive
Yeah, I couldn't figure out any way to get a single large rug to work so I did that instead and I think it works much better
oh how i wished i hadnt picked hilltop TT
So cool!
Quick question, how do you get a good picture of your house?
what do you mean by good?
you could screenshot everything by scrolling thru settings and at the very bottom
Oooh
glad i could help
Year 3 springggg, its a mess so far but I think it's gonna come along fine
the trees fit in so much more in spring, I built it in fall and it looked out of place with the banana tree haha, much better now
idk wat channel to ask this in but i was wondering if anyone knew of any farm mods that expanded the buildings on the farm (for example the farmhouse, shed etc)
expanded as in increased/revamped interiors or added new types of buildings?
increased/revamped
this is what i have for farmhouse
and on nexus i searched shed and this is the first one to come up
I also personally have this mod because I don't use slime hutches
hope these help point you in the right direction :D
thx
That is the strawfloor. Sadly it only looks like this, when you build a single row. I used a lot of different floors here, but the strawfloor is the one around the selling tables https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/qe3if8/my_take_on_creating_a_haunted_chocolate_shop_just/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
yes, another guy already told me, but thanks anyway, this room you sent even inspired me ^^
ik im working on getting more sprinklers
add more animal buildings maybe?
A farm design's beginning. Save #4. Grandpa's Farm, Day 1 just out the door. First time using mods ever and went ham with all the extra content. Love CA's artwork, but a change is nice, especially the yellow dirt.
have you downloaded Medieval Buildings for SVE (MSVE)? It should add new textures for the pet house and granpa's shed
No I didn't. I'll look at it thanks!
My current farm (year 8 summer first playthrough) any ideas on what to put in the extra spaces? (im gonna have a forest behind the barns and coops)
a lot more sheds
Honey or an orchard is always my go to
Hereโs my boyfriend and Iโs little cabin, year 2 of autumn ๐โค๏ธ
I've been anticipating this for so long
you can upgrade the cabin
Thanks!
Anticipating what?
you playing modded lol
Haha, well after 1350 hrs vanilla it was time. Really loving all the social stuff with new places. Feels like Stardew Valley and not just Pelican Town
that looks so niceee
do u have a zoomed out ss?
wait im curious, how did you get palm trees on the farm? is it a mod?
It's on my old phone, I can't retrieve most of my SDV files
The pics I sent are the ones survived bc I posted them on my FB account but idk abouth the other sc
Yeah, it's a mod
How do i find my screenshot? there isnt a stardew valley foldern in my appdata
thereโs a ss button at the bottom of the settings
is it because of game pass?
this is my farm year 3 summer
wondering if anyone can suggest what i should do with the big spot where the sprinklers are...
or what i should do with those empty spots?
Put like decoration or ||obelisks||
see saying that second part is easier said than done
need money ._.
There is a button in the game settings
^
@gloomy pine
Hahaha i mean if you are dedicated to decorate the farm, then there isnt anything stopping you
yah, i just have no idea what to put tbh
Do you have a screenshots folder in %appdata%\StardewValley
%appdata%\StardewValley doesnt exist
Wtf
Did you press windows button + r
%localappdata%\Packages\ConcernedApe.StardewValleyPC_0c8vynj4cqe4e\LocalCache\Roaming\StardewValley
Copied from someone using gamepass. May work.
it worked thanks
nice
i still have a bit of cleaning up to do but it works and stuff. Ill probably do a full redesign during winter and move and decorate everything
Lol Stardew valley co op is impossible
just do: %AppData% then itll come up
does somebody has ideas for decorating a Hill-top farm?
Why aren't you building sheds
why would i. waste of materials which i need for othr buildings and kegs
i have plenty of space
ill add sheds and stuff probably in the winter
i plan to do like a full redisign where i tear everything down and put it in an organised way
PC?
no
not sure if it's that much of an issue that it's night but this is my farm so far, I'm thinking of cutting down my fruit trees because they're placed really bleh
and I'd also move around some buildings
sadly there's no real good spot for that slime hutch
River farm looks so tough
@manic inlet I have the same with screenshots so yes, it seems so
I'm away from my PC and I want to plan a layout for my farm any apps or websites I can use?
Stardew valley planner v2 i think may be the website you can just experiment but i cant remember for sure
So no apps sdv planner v2 is hard to use in my phone but thank you
Ah yes ok sorry i dont know of any but im sure there is something
It looks like their is just enough space for everything to fit ๐
guys any farm design for forestfarm?
got any for riverland?
I filled my farm completely with giant crops. filled it in
okay but imagine if someone did that and made it spell something
happy new year yall
What mod are you using that puts your toolbar on the vertical left?
mobile
it's default on mobile
I'm amazed
Good to know ty
river is one of the hardest ones to design
I think beach is up there aswell, because you can't put crops everywhere to fill in space. you need to come up with other stuff
there's no good place for my slime hutch on this map
I have like that corner
but I don't like the free space on the left of my slime hutch
Have you tried looking at Riverland Farm design on reddit? I remember seeing a really beautiful one a few months ago.
sadly I'm doing full vanilla
Eh, there are designs for Vanilla?
Plus you can still get inspiration from Modded ones.
ooo I like this one

I'm just not sure about the fruit trees, can they really grow like that?
Hello, can someone show me a layout of a tree farm in the standard farm? I wanna plant some trees for tappers and some fruit trees but I'm not sure how
If you're gonna post someone else's farm here, at least credit the creator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHSHqQgDsks&t=379s

This was my first ever save file since SV 1.3 that I completed, so there were a lot of renovations that happened.
Decided to do a farm tour (plus the island farm) before I retire from this save. I'm...
Doesnt it mean anything that i can make it too?
but the screenshots are literally identical
Bruh go tell that to my friend who sent me the file lol
And i downloaded it and i also played on it
so you just happened to have an identical avatar and took them in the exact same spot
^
@livid raven
Give the credits to him lmao
if your friend sent it why didnt you give him credit
I asked him if i could post it without credit bruh
He said he hasnt any problem
but why claim it as your own
Because my friend allowed me
well could you add the yt link to credit the creator
Yea no problem
I'd love to see yalls 4 corners farms if you'd like to share! I'm struggling with mine ;w;
thanks

the only reason i recognize it is because im desperate for a design to copy lol
Ahha good luck
This is my 2 year farm on Mobile
Pls give me some ideas to improve it
This is my second save file because I didnt like my previous save files farm so I started over
And I don't want the same thing to happen in this one
I think, try unified paths like straight lines that connects
And if u want to early design, try it by chunks like a quarter of the farm part. With that u can minimize and ready yourself for a long term design/ideas
Overall, nice fencing, I like people who fence early
433 votes and 44 comments so far on Reddit
Thanks
the most aggravating part of this game is trying to make something thats a functional use of space actually look good
First time trying to design a farm, year 4
Very nice looking
Thanks, damn lightning storm the day before murked some crops lol
And here is my home
Hii
sprinklers would be good
do yall like my home?
why the 2 beds
I donโt remember if Iโve already posted this so hereโs my house
its a world with 2 friends
and we dicided to move into the same house and move the cabins into the far corner
Canโt disagree there, but you did a good job of accomplishing that
Baby with cowboy hat is by far best part
Iโm pretty sure thatโs a fedora ๐
Oh my bad I didnโt see the other baby
This is awesome
How do you get that stone path
itโs just stone floor
you craft it with 1 stone
buy the recipe at carpenters shop probably
Ohhh nice ima have to get that then
I love your use of fruit trees
i really need a shed. also in winter is when ill reorganise everything and make it look nice
idk how to make things look nice lmao
ill try in winter
whats a good path i only have like cobble
Wooden planck
wheres the recipe for that
i think stone and stone walkway looks nice
weathered flooring is my favorite walkway type for a warmer and more rustic pathway
Crystal Floor all the way. That smooth texture is amazing
crystal floor looks very grandiose
would weathered outlined with stone look nice?
like you're walking through some professional made garden
O yea that's sick too
The opposite would work also
stone pathways and crystal floors are pretty good for a more modern and clean look
is there a way to like remove the gap
unfortunately no ๐
i reckon ill use that
Nice
Rustic floor only
love it , looks awesome!
yall like what i did? im a new player and thought this looked cool
The trees seem a bit intrusive imo but looks good
i agree but the already grown ones where there before the pen and i am not bothered to grow new ones at the moment.
I did something similar with my coop, itโs still there cause I liked how cozy it felt
My latest farm for my new playthrough! I like to design farms with cheats and then play through them all. I'll go through and add lights and other furniture at some point. If y'all have any suggestions LMK
Here it is at night, with added lights.
Is it possible for mobile players to get renovations for their house?
Unfortunately no, not until 1.5 comes out on mobile
Thank you
๐
Does anyone know of a bee hive layout that isnt about efficency but looks pretty instead? i don't care about how much money i earn per 1 flower planted
This isn't my farm, but my bee hive layout is very similar to this.
https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/ea4azd/the_perfect_beehive_layout/
I let a lot of grass grow around it, and adding any flowers just makes it prettier.
thanks :3 i'll give it a shot
thoughts?
I love the fish tank room
I had one too in a previous game
Also I love your wife

I never claimed to be good at it. Any tips?
Need some help decorating this corner here
All I know to put here is a beehive farm and a slime hutch
I need it to be as full as possible
i usually put fishponds in that corner
i think a tree farm (for tappers) and a beehive farm would go nicely together there !
Already have a tree farm tho
oh hmmm
Meh, why not have more
๐คทโโ๏ธ
my farm on summer year 1
Your farm has so many oak trees
Compared to mine it mostly has pine trees
Making progress!!
thx
i know i have alot of oak
looks ice so far but i would recommend giving your chickens some more space :,)
nice*
Chimkens need more space :p
Maybe you should cut down on the fences and add more paths to connect to each structure while putting decorations around them. Just a thought
you can try the floor dividers, if its inside your house
looks so cozy i love it
wait, do you seriously only need that many flowers?
Just one flower has a really large range.
wooah cool didnt know that
It's within five tiles.
My bee hive layout is just a smidge smaller than the one in the reference I posted. But it's completely supported by just one flower.
oooh thats awesome
Yup! ๐
Day 24 and it's my first playthrough, what should I do to make it look better? (Coop is being built )
i would recommend using more of a variation of paths and only use those wood plank-ish ones for outlines, and use the wood floor or stone one (if you have the recipes, im pretty sure you can get em from pierres or robins) for main pathing! looks awesome so far
You get paths at robin
Ok thanks! I knew the paths looked bad but I didn't find any other ones I could use so I just used those
fair enough :,)
The start of a nice layout
im remodeling my house but im not sure wat to put next to emily's room (im making the bedroom up where the bed is)
Anything you want
any ideas
I made one of my rooms a tea or coffee room with small pots
And one to show case fish
My house is unfinished as well
A study is a good room idea too
I donโt like the bottom room so I generally donโt have that
how did u remove the crib
that looks so cute
house renovation from robin
It's in the update 1.5 but not for mobile
im on pc
yea
So that they can be sacrificed to yoba
Lol
ohh yeah both kids need to be grown up
yes @acoustic ferry
Hope you got a strange doll
you can sacrifice them
Yes
Maybe on a different play though I will
i want my kids to DIE
๐
๐คฃ
For people who want divorces I guess and I agree
ive been divorced 4 times in one account on my ps4
Something else that I wanted to try do they hate you know like they say
Ty I took my time I'm still working on my decorations for my farm and you can always fix it it's not to late
Lol that's crazy
i know im trying to decarate more

wut\
Can't be worse then reminds you of puรรร
BWHAHA
woah slow down there
i just thought it was dunny youre favourite thing is That
Lmao that's another one I saw
I tried stardew in mine to see if that glich would work
?
Their is a glich that if you put your favorite thing as stardew your suppose to get a sprinkler and mixed seeds for your first year but it's everytime someone says you favorite thing
isnt that if you [numbers]
ohhh i think ur getting confused
if your name is an item id anytime someone says ur name u get the item
Both
idk if that was patched though
But one of them doesn't work anymore
cant you also name an animal and get that item when it gets delivered
Haven't tried that one
not sure
I think I'm gonna tear down everything and do a full redesign in winter, should be fun and I don't have to worry about wasted crops then. Might do a bit of basic planning beforehand though
For now I'm mainly focusing on money and cc
sus
sus backwords
That would be even cooler
Can grass destroy crops? i haven't built with grass much before so i'm not sure if it would destroy crops as i was wanting to put it around my honey bee's area
no, grass won't destroy it. only weeds can destroy them pretty sure
Nah don't do that
Just take your time and have fun
Only works on pc and mobile
And itโs names
So your name and animal name
organized my chests, im very happy now :3
Nice
im struggling very hard with making the house and furthermore the farm look nice
Usual winter. Decorate and mines.
hello yeah, im kinda new to the game and i wonder why are those fish ponds on a different colour, can somebody explain
aight thank you
Lava ell gives you red the purple cucumber gives you light purple and void fish gives you burgundy
The fish ponds also gives you certain drops depending on the fish like ores and diamonds
But only when the fish are done populating it
some house and shed designs from the old save file
thanks ^^
what are in the garden pots?
coffee ๐ and i think it was cactus in the kitchen
i have a new save file now and trying to be more practical with the farm design. Though i haven't planned anything, but it goes well so far for my second year
thats your second year???
thats amazing
i just finished my 3rd year and i based my farm off this one i found on reddit, with a few edits
oh?
i used this as a sort of base
but since i dont have the golden clock or obilisks yet, im trying to get enough money with the truffles and wine
ah, that looks very neat. I should get more piggies too
yeah i still think where i will plonk the golden clock. but thankfully you can always move buildings n stuff for free
i think it's a nice farm for inspiration
yeah, its annoying to build all of those barns tho
but i want money lol
yeeeeah
oh yeah for sure, i used some aspects of it, but im also taking my own twist with it
that's cool!
any tips for new players on organizing farm?
i like the maze thing in the middle. that's actually a fun idea. I wonder if you can create a maze using tea saplings. that'd be fun i think
yeah ^^'
ooo with tea saplings? thats a good idea
well... ive played a lot but im bad at decorating
will have to test it sometime
use a base if you're not sure what to do, and then if you want, take a little twist
oh i wish i was good at giving tips. almost 700 hours on stardew and i am still learning to decorate stuff lol. But i can say i get inspired a lot by youtube and there are plenty sdv youtubers that give helpful tips. Or you can just look at other's designs and maybe get inspired by their ways of organizing stuff
honestly, ive played so much and im still horrible at decorating, my farm always looks bad haha
ah thank you guys :)
i wanna make cute farms but i always get so lazy & unmotivated
ooh, also stardew planner can help
thatโs a thing?
I really wanna work on my new save file, and use a lot of fences and tress, just nature all around. paths and fences + grass especially help. Could always use furniture to spice it up, maybe come up with a cute project, like outside cafe area or something
yeah
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
i rarely use it but it is a nice tool
thank you!
oh also sometimes i visit upload farm to lookup popular designs
maybe something from there will inspire you too
oh yeah the greenhouse looks amazing btw, what mod?
one mod, called Elle's Seasonal Buildings, which is compatible with several recolours
it is on nexus
What mods are you using there for the buildings and greenhouse?
ohhh i love seasonal buildings, idk why, it just gives it a nice touch
Cool thx
this mod both changes the greenhouse and buildings and in the config you can always choose which version you want
makes farms look extra fancy ๐
Oh so the greenhouse is the same inside, just different on outside
yea. but there are mods that change the greenhouse inside too. I don't use them, but saw some nice ones before that make the greenhouse bigger or even add the hotspring.
yeah im a greedy person who made the greenhouse huge with this one mod
Ya most insides of mods for greenhouse I found to be either way too big or didn't like the style
but it conflicted with another one so i had to remove it
i found another nice one
also, there's a cellar that's huge and has 5 floors, so thaat's fun for someone who loves money like me
i like when there is enough space, but i get so confused with it at the same time lol
I just want a 15x10 grid, a centered door and 16 spots for fruit trees
wow
visual mods like this doesnโt affect every player if playing multiplayer right?
No, just the person who installed it
@drowsy rune You leveled up to Shepherd. Wow, you've been talking a lot! Have a prettier, slightly more brag worthy, shade of blue.
You can use this mod, to get Granpa's shed and animal house to match the rest of the farm, also changes a few buildings in town https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6086
that's a beautiful one
i love the pixel art
gives a completely different almost magical feel
Yes, reskins are nice, love CA's art but change is good. Not sad to see the yellow dirt go away though, only visual thing I didn't like with vanilla
Thank you!!
np
Just installed all that myself 2 days ago
Currently in Summer after 2 play sessions, loving Granpa's farm
yellow dirt and rainbow shell sprite are the only things I dislike
WIP Modified Grandpa Farm
Planing for a Duo-Player Run
wow :))
Why take screenshot at night time?
anyone have good advice for forest farm layouts?
does anyone have any farm layouts and ideas for a kind of like, town-ish farm design? one with two maxed out coops
Looks good, currently on that map. How did you lay down flooring in those two transition zones into the farm on the top right?
Can other buildings ever be placed flush to the house or in the green area where the shipment box is, if I move the shipment box?
How do you add custom maps to the game? I'm just curious.
This is the non-buildable area according to stardew planner, not sure about the accuracy
you can toggle it in the options section, there's even tillable and accessibility
Awww...thanks for that info though. that planner is super useful.
does anyone know who this game was made by? i heard that the entire game was made by 1 person... does anyone know if this is true, or was it just a rumor?
https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Stardew_Valley#Development
Stardew Valley was originally created by one person, yes. ConcernedApe worked alone for years and created the entire thing But since launch, multiple different people have worked on the game in different capacities. So it's no longer a solo project.
can anyone tell me how to edit maps on android?
That's a good question for #archived-modded-support! This channel is more for planning out what you put on your farm while playing
will do
I feel my tea bush is too short for fence on my maze. any idea?
Thanks!
How big is The Stardew Valley map guys...I've been playing for a while but I'm not sure how big it is
just the farn or the whole map?
I think i done during that 1 ingame year a solid progress when it comes to making the farm looking a bit better, its still a work in progress, 1. farm which i try to ,,Decorate".
Tidied up my farm in preparation for summer
I have a stable and furnaces placed on the green area so it would be weird if it was non-buildable haha
I advise you not to put building you frequently visit so far away from each other.
It might look good eventually, bud mid game, you want to not spent your day running to and fro
- Settings - scroll all the way down -- zoom 25% - Screenshot (click a camera image and it'll screen it)
There's screenshot button on menu. It's located way down.
More flowers and maybe some yoba statues
dont think the wood floor suits graveyard. maybe try some kind of stone
good idea. Tym
Np
yeah maybe... I will try it. ty
looks so cute!
what do you think, where should I place new barns (for pigs)
(that's also a barn wich Robin is working on)
thank you
My farm is almost all finished but i have two empty sheds i want to fill before i consider everything done. My current sheds are a cafe, a keg house for my ancient fruits, crystilariums with every type of gemstone that can go in, those dirt boxes with all renewable plants and a room for just Sorta chilling with a fireplace and stuff, i need ideas for what to put in last two but i dont want money making ideas since i have more than enough of that
They are also both large sheds
Like all of my sheds
Did the Farm planner got updated?
Dirt boxes? You mean gardening pots?
dirt box is better
dirt box ๐ญ
Lmao
I have an art museum in one of mine and also an aquarium
Plus i have like a greenhouse but its purely aesthetic, like a plant room, grass, lots of flowers and plants etc.
aquarium is a super cool idea i woul do that if i didnt have a mod for it
i have tons of aquariums around of my house anyway
There are secret passage ways behind the trees ๐
gamzee
:o)
You want tips or like...?
Btw it looks pretty good also use the screenshot feauture for a better image
Im playing on switch
Yeah ig
i would move your barn and coop somewhere else, theyre right in front of that exit. maybe below the crops ?
or clear out some area below the greenhouse
I have trees below the greenhouse
But i can change the trees spot
Lol
maybe below that then ? or move it?
Move what?
any tips? we're going into fall and me and my friend are arguing about where to put our crops
I wish i had a farm like this
we chose forest which apparently isn't the best for money lol
it can be!!!! sheds and artisan goods are really helpful with the forest farm, because theres not that much space for crops. there are countless ways to make good money!
your crops look good where they are !
hm yea i rushed to farming 10 for the artisan but we're arguing about where to place our animal pens
probably around the greenhouse id suggest, or maybe below the house
That's pretty much how I have my forest farm set up
This is my old Vanilla Forest Design. I think most crops were supposed to go into the green house
Or the crops were formerly where the ponds are
sooo pretty!
anyone have a normal farm design
What is normal in your definition
Ah Standard :u
Where did you get these visual mods they are so cute
Starblue for the Nature, Simple Foliage for the trees and the Buildings + everything else is from Gweniaczek
Okay thank you
Hereโs one I found
My old old one where I only modded the ground to be grass (I think) nothing is modded except the optics
tysm
Tree area can be sheds and stuff
kk ty
Check out this cool farm design! https://youtu.be/SA7GNGcKPXs
Hello! Iโm Cliff and This is my stardew farm. Iโve put about 200 hours into this farm. In this save Iโve obtained everything you can buy and have next to all achievements. Thanks for taking a look :3 and subscribe for more!
Full screenshot here
https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/ewz7u4/my_ps4_stardew_valley_farm_around_200_hours...
thank you! that's really cool :3
still working on decorations
but can you find all 10 hidden junimo plush in here ๐
Lol, mega melon
Lol, yeah
yeah I just spent my life savings on parsnips what are you gonna do about it

Heres mine:
damn good job
Unfinished insides ._."
hey, can I get some criticism on my farm design?
Well, for me it looks pretty wasteful, but if you gonna play the game to chill, not really wanting to get 100% etc. Then its gonna be fine
I'm still a new player, so I don't really know how to optimize space and whatnot yet
do you have any ideas what I could use all the extra space for?
any ideas on what i could do with the bottom right part? i definitely wanna put some bee hives there, but not too many cause i always struggle to get coal lol (yes i love putting grass everywhere)
i also accept some criticism/tips on the stuff i already have
maybe the slime hutch
i was terrible for designing my farm too, it helps if you look at some screenshots here and some youtube videos if you have the patience haha
i thought about it, but i so hate the slime hutch ๐ i always think it doesn't fit with the whole farm aesthetic
well me either๐ But I think if you make a special place for it with stone ways and other stuff it could look good
Ok thanks.
does anyone have a layout for grandpas farm (SVE)?
if u look at the modded tag on r/farmsofstardewvalley there are tons
thank you @woven hull ill take a look ๐
Speaking of Granpa Farm, I think I'm done and happy with this. I can still add more sheds, a small tree farm or a nice relax area
hm I might move the lightning rods tho :u
damn looks good af
Too bad that extra area to the right wasn't part of the farm always
Where did y'all find these amazing farm house tile sets
this looks rlly nice! mind if i use it/something similar? ๐
Sure ^^
I only changed the map slightly. I tweaked the little pond in the middle, cut away some cliff-stone where the greenhouse is and added the fishing pond area
So everything else should work with a normal Grandpa Farm
well i dont need sheds or cabins so places where you have those i can put my fish ponds instead! i wanna use grandpas farm so bad but i kinda hate the layout lol. i just wanna be fully immersed in stardew valley expanded
how did you change the map?
With the program Tiled :>
ahh okay, i wouldnt know how to use that lol
Why is it only quality sprinklers
Thank you and I forgot to ask if you know why exactly it's setup like that? Not being able to walk down those areas normally is odd and annoying tbh as you except to be able too. Is it a mod/code thing where they had to to join the maps that way and why would a secret passage bypass that?
You need hella wood in this game so that what you want early game, all that wood will make the buildings to fill those spots later
Oh my fucking god, I need that much wood in my life
Clearing my farm only got me a stack and half of wood
If anyone has a Nintendo Switch Iโll gladly let you cut those damn tress
Itโs trellis corps, I donโt know a more efficient way to do it with
Iridium sprinklers
Oh
Do you know a more efficient way?
Junimo's or bust, my first save made me dislike trellis crops to deal with
You can't put any buildings in ginger island
love the two mushrooms and iridium meteor there just vibing
I know, I meant that if trellis crops are planted they will deal with it not me
Yeah I would mine the iridium meteors because I have the materials and money but Iโm to lazy
How do you unlock the juniper hut things?
Don't mine that meteor, it's actually in a nice spot to leave as trophy. Make a park around the pond. Every spot a meteor landed on my farm was too awkward to keep and I wish they had landed in a spot like that @quiet orbit
Okay! Thanks for the โtipโ
The wizard can summon them for you after you reach four hearts (?) with him and complete his quest
Do I have to fully fix cc?
I don't think so
I think you do need to complete the cc to unlock the junimo huts and obelisk
yes I just looked it up for you, you do need to complete all CC bundles
Hey can someone help me with map design? Like finding tilesets ect
โฆโฆ thatโs so many. i want.
U should be able to zoom out the screenshot but its fine
Did you want advice on your house design?
I'm jealous
Pls tell me this mod
Late reply, but do you mean the building mod used in this picture ?
It's just a little secret of the map and from what I nread you can access it to put paths down if you wish to. The maps are not joined it is simply made to look like it for immersive reasons just like you can also see part of Marnie's farm at the bottom. The warp points still work properly
If you mean the looks of the map then it's those two
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1869 (quite outdated and I probably fixed it myself)
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/users/51171631?tab=user+files
open your options and go into screenshot mode
Yes
No no, just clear up some tress. Let me show you mine
Can some people judge my farm?
Judgement: thatโs a nice ass farm
That looks really good, what is that dark wood flooring you used for outlines?
what should i do with my farm lmao
Start of Year 4 Summer on my first save. Still a WIP
Nice
do u use expander mod?
nope, this is unmodded
oh wow
here's a challenge
find all 32 hidden junimo plush.
there are 8 plush for each color
Yall are really making me want to start a whole new save with a standard farm
Your standard farm designs are so lovely
Hereโs my farm on summer 8
imma start working on fish ponds
cuz i have the fish farmer bundle
and i got red cabbage from cart on the 5th so i can finish cc year 1 if i try hard enough
i also wanna get a barn
i just need to get a harvest
of my like 50 melons
I need one blue and two yellow ,=w=,
dont actually try to find all of them for you own sake
some of them are like a few pixel visible and blends in well with the other deco
Is it really that good?
Dont make me doubt myself
Ok
The one you craft with fiber and wood. If you place only 1 floor thick outline, it wont turn into that hay looking flooring
Iโve found 25 so far this is really cool and fun thank you.
Fill it with trees to chop and replant, will need infi wood for all the buildings later.
i just chopped most of the trees on my farm lol and i have 2 stacks of wood
does anyone have beehive shaped beehives that fit nicely on GI? I've been trying around with something like this, not sure if theres already something better out there
2 stacks is actually nothing for this game, will need to plant and replant all y1 tbh
Too much for me, but this is possible https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/421386982787252224/919889429324251146/bee_12-13-2021_34917841.png
does anyone have any ideas to make the area around the slime hutch a bit nicer, would grass work better? or crops maybe?
Circle it with trees, pine is best for year round foliage
so make a forest around it?
yes
ok thank
Something like this, fiddle to get what looks good to you
ok, ill make it look a less uniform to fit in with the rest of my farm
finally made something sorta organized, still need to account for sprinklers and scarecrows for the plants
the spot on the right thats marked out is just current plants
probably gonna have more plants than that as well so i definitely need more stone
Haha yeah I know that one! well I'm not exactly going for efficiency, just goong for a nice, aesthetic setup
This is my more relaxed setup, still a lot of bee house's, mix of Faerie Rose and Wild Honey#stardew-spoilers message
what could i do here
im having a hard time trying to figure out a good layout for this map
its not
and I didn't even find any pic of someone using this map besides the author
nd they didn't even post a whole pic just a shot of one corner
Change to another layout if you're struggling so much
modding is a blessing but also a curse
god damn ๐โ
Or change it to the version without the pond in the middle
I would put crops beneath the house, move the Greenhouse to the stumps and use the big field for animals and some fishponds
how long does it take for you to collect this
Did you decide to go with this map or use another one?
Imo this one has like no space at all, due to the many water tiles.
Oh and the bushes on the left side of the house were a...design choice. But if you like it don't mind me.
What is the all day planner session?
Not my farm, I just saved the link on discord
there are some cool designs in r/farmsofstardewvalley for hilltop
Hereโs one I found
thx this is pretty cool! ^^
okay thanks!
how do you make a custom layout
like this
how do i make a farm like this
please @ me when you have an answer, thx :)
It's a mod from Nexusmods.com.
If you dont know how to install mods at all, you can ask in the #archived-modded-support channel.
i know how to install mods - thanks for the help @compact ledge
Oh, the map you replied to is called "Everfarm" btw.
ooo ty
sweet
No idea how to use myself, but I'm looking into it. Making a unique farm sounds fun.
me neither ๐คฃ
There is a well documented wiki page for modding maps.
I used it to make my own map.
does anyone have one for standard?
Iโll have to try this, sounds cool!
i cant move ggreenhouse in stardew planner and its pissing me off because i dont want it there
Probably because you canโt move it
you can though
You can???
same! i always move the greenhouse and it drives me crazy that i can't do it on the planner
yeah, with 1.5 update
^
thats not the starting spot
Don't ask how I found this year old post. What farm is this
Hmmm, I know what the buildings are, not too sure about the actual map itself
finally ready to start redesigning
this will be hard because im bad at this sort of thing but once i do it it will be good
Love the look of a clean farm, ready to be designed! Hope you have fun and we'd love to see when you make some progress
Kinda reminds me of a fucked up version of forest farm. I'd look up designs for that and modify them for that farm
finally trying to give my first farm a glow up! any suggestions or critiques welcome!
whats that building on the bottom right?
slime hutch
crop areas planned out
and obelisks
what should i put below the house near the small lake?
It's beautiful so far! Adding some fruit trees, mushrooms, and sheds would liven it up!
Bee hives maybe? Or a crafting area (furnaces, chests, etc)? And some lamp posts and statues around the house maybe, for some decoration!
These farms are both looking great!
aa thank you ๐ i was thinking of putting more fruit trees on the west side above the animal fence
Fish ponds
Can build 3 or 5 around it
i was thinking of putting them with a slime hutch over here
and using that space for sheds
You do you, but if you plan on using pond for crab pots it's nice to have all fish stuff together
Easier chores
That would be lovely!
is this overkill for crop space? (normal sprinklers will be replaced with iriduium)
actually it definately is
because i have ginger island
what should i put there instead
yeah ill have 2 pig barns up near greenhouse, maybe i could just put a row of cow and chicken stuff in there
this is my plan for farm (i will add more trees and decor when i actually build it). is the layout and stuff good? anything i should change?
wait i forgot to remove the 2nd slime hutch
the one at the top shouldnt be there
ill make like a walkway of fruit trees to grandpa shrine or smth
also bottom left should be fish ponds but it didnt render
hmm you might have more space than that
ahhhh i see
I don't think 2 slime huts are necessary
Oop wait you said that
Sorey
Keeping the spelling error
i think im gonna go ahead and build it it looks nice
and i dont think im missing anything
yeah i like it!!
Lookin good ๐
with 100 mod installed im starting my new game ๐
this is my y3, summer farm
just asking, yall think its a good idea to put a lot of fish ponds in the area to the right of the crops?
lava eels btw
My take on a modded farm, built with way too many cheats because I like that playstyle, IDK why. I know there's a lot of empty space I could be using but I'm just not sure what to do with it. I'm open to suggestions for how to fill the empty space, how to improve what's already there, and what fish to put in the ponds. The extra small fields are intentionally left blank to be used for season with more crops to be grown.
Changed it to account for the number of crops in the season, as well as for 2nd tier sprinklers even though i only have one
Also my character is hidden somewhere if you wanna find her ig lol
Definitely not me forgetting to attach an image
I do need feedback tho like what can i do better
Scarecrows cover a huge area like 8 by 8 so
8
8 scarecrow 8
8
You can spread them out more
Scarecrows needed to protect flowers for honey and the beehouses cover a nice area as well as so spread them out as well
You can put any crafting stuff in a shed for more space so like the furnaces, preserve jars, kegs, etc go in the shed. And any chests as well
You will a barn as well but also need grass so place some grass starters with a fence on top. The animals can't eat it and it will grow spreading more grass
switch farm :>
(just moved it over from pc bc i cant use cjb cheats/item spawner on switch)
That sounds like the exact same reason i went to switch are you copying me lol
you went to switch just to have an excuse to be like "hey heres my mods... on a switch" too?
Nope just to avoid cheating lol

got excited
