But you could just do it anyway because there's so few tiles for the crows

It's based on total farmable tiles I believe (hence how the scarecrow can keep the number of crows scared) so odds are you'll only lose one or two in the whole season

The scarecrow covers a circle that is 8 tiles vertically and horizontally, but only 6 tiles diagonally. I tend to just set up fields as if it's only 6 in all directions because it's easier for my brain that way. I hate losing even a single crop to crows, and I hate losing even a single tile of watered soil to a scarecrow. I balance these compulsions thusly:

When I have space, I like to have 16 quality sprinklers in groups of 4, separated by a cross of pathing with the scarecrow at the centre. This eliminates the "scarecrow's head is making the crop tile above it hard to see" problem and also allows me to put down some torches for late-night harvesting etc.

If space is a little tighter (such as in the northeast field right in front of the farmhouse door on the forest map) I go for a "pinwheel" where the 4 squares of 4 sprinklers are offset around a single tile for the scarecrow. It makes one crop hard to see but if I put a tall one there it's fine.

strongly recommend either planning your farm on sdv planner so you can see the effective area OR downloading a mod that shows the effective area of items like scarecrows when placing them

grass doesn't damage the crops. Only Weed, stones and twigs can harm your crops, if you don't remove them occassionally.

grass is basically harmless and works as cute decoration

So basically you need at least 3 fully open tiles per farm animal

so thats 360

and according to the planner i have 578 grass

They'll eat in front of the doors and only 10 or 15 will be able to regrow

And you'll get at best 6 regrows per barn, which is less than 12 which means it'll all get eaten away within a few days

That plot can support maybe 5 baens/coops

I love this! Especially the trees lining the edges! Only criticism that I have is the over-usage of pathing. I love the brick around the farmhouse and the edges, but I think the stone around the ponds/beehives needs to be replaced with something more organic. Putting grass there and a few circle pathings would look amazing there! You don't seem opposed to modding, so might I suggest the mod that turns gravel into grass pathing? It's honestly my favourite mod and such a game-changer. I think that would look wonderful in the shed/windmill area.

havent tried cjb it feels too cheaty for me but i have nothing against using mods tho, and yea you can mod mobile and its pretty easy but not all mods are compatible and some mod makers even have versions for mobile ty mod creators!

I updated my farm now and have added some cabins in one area

I plan on making a little path that will lead to the ponds that my "visitors" can walk along

I'm also probably gonna get rid of the pine trees entirely as I dont like the way they look in fall :/

the maple and hardwood trees make a nice gradient during the season

and pine trees are just pine trees forever

Also here's my well garden complete now!

It looks very nice and will look even better when the trees start to grow around it in the back

at least I hope so
