If you have any upgraded coops that are not to their max capacity, you can get one through a random event, basically for free. Otherwise, if you don't wanna wait for that event, yes. You will need it for the "ship everything" achievement and also perfection, if you're going for that

On the beach farm map, the wooded area where the stumps spawn, there is a kind of rectangular, freestanding chunk of cliff in between the two northern access paths to the area. This chunk is the same size or only slightly larger than the slime hutch so I tucked it there.

Definitely min max for me, but I try to make them navigable at the same time, and when they feel good to move through I feel like they look good too.
