So I'm playing on the four corners map, and the lower right, I've kinda made my resource/crafting/mining stuff area... This is what it looked like before I finally reorganized and spent a little time decorating...

This is the area now. I'm thinking the big areas need to be trees... but not settled just yet... The fish ponds are modded to be smaller and slower, so they take less space, but take longer to work to bring about some balance.

The big building at the top is my Slime Hutch (I'll post an interior shot in a minute.
The medium size building is my workshop, a Big Shed, it's not nice looking inside at all yet, so no pics yet 😛
The smaller building is a Stone Cabin I'm using as my fishing shack. All things water-born go there.

Slime Hutch. I wanted to try to naturalize it a little bit without losing the functionality of the place. I'm not worried about safety, I have the charmer ring, but I sometimes forget it, so...

The stained-glass-looking items are the statue needed to keep the witch from cursing my red beauties.

Yeah, I'm just trying to decide what trees I want to put there. I have dozens of fruit trees, thanks to mods, so I could put some of those down there, or just some smaller tappers areas, since I don't think I'll really need much more of any of the resins. I know I will need a bit more maple, so maybe a heavy chunk of that, and a few of the others... I'll sort it out, I just know I need to leave it clear if I want fruit/nut trees down there

I rearranged the buildings, giving more space between them and a dedicated path. I've got trees started. I'm considering fencing in completely each area, but I want to see how the grass lasts first.

well, pretty much can put anywhere for a coop and barn...

just a small tip, if you place your coop near to a pond, and you have ducks, the duck will swim on that pond.

Idk what to do to this. Not sure if I should have those bees ect up or down but also with this kind of a plan there is not much area to decorate. Also the middle area and the shrine, greenhouse and well... The whole upper area I have no idea what to do with 😄 I am happy with the barns and coops plus that mill area I do like those but everything else... I need help 😄

Also this looks a bit silly since I am gonna be playing on the larger secret forest map and its not on the planner so I just tried to count how it would fit on the normal secret map 😄

this kind of decor pieces would maybe be interesting in the middle of the farm/ in front of the house with benches but I dont know how or if it would need to be something else. There are flowers under the trees btw

Sorry for the wall of text! Wondering what people would think of this? Does it bother anyone else that the left and right side dont match? Or is this too square like? The trees on the left side make it kind of seem like the whole farm is off center or something 🧐 🤔 I guess I could put fruit trees closer to each other and then delete some trellis rows and or smaller middle part and then I could just add some trees to the right 🤔 Just wouldnt be centered with the house then.

I have been playing since the game came out and I still have never built a slime hutch or actually knows what the purpose of it is but it looks very cute

It's to produce slime, basically, but also to experiment and try to reach goals, like all reds, all blues, or whatever. Also, you can cull them back, get the resources and loot, and let them build back up so you can do it again. It's not exactly a game-changer, just a little extra to do if you're bored. Slime is used for a number of craftables, plus I have mods that add even more recipes that call for slime, so I kinda need it.
