okey
Use torches on top of fencing but space it out several tiles, don't just cram them all together. Alongside paths and outside of farm buildings, place crafted lamps and seasonal plant decor. Don't put too much in any one place, spread the decor and effects out a bit so it's not too much clutter and also ties the farm in together. They don't have seasonal plants or decor in the planner, so sometimes I use placeholder items in the planner to know what I'm putting there - like I put my recycle machines in a shed or basement, so if I place them in the planner in random places I know I want to put seasonal plants and decor there instead.
In the farm planner, I use a flooring tile I'm not actually using much in the farm (like that blue crystal path) to specifically mark where I want to put trees. I count out the trees I'm putting down so that I have an even amount of pine, maple, and oak even when I'm not tapping them, and I spread them out so the farm looks balanced. I put in the trees last on the plan and have two versions, so that I can actually count the tiles when I'm playing and make my in-game farm look exactly like my plan.
Use grass starters decoratively, sticking it around the farm even where animals can't get it to give it a more natural feel. Grass slows you down, so in big areas put a slightly disjointed steppingstone path that you can run along while getting to where you're going. Sometimes I mix steppingstone paths in with cobblestone, mostly using cobblestone but putting in stepping stone here and there to make the ultimate cobblestone path.
Horses take up two tiles going vertical and one tile going horizontal, so follow that scheme in your paths. Paths don't need to be a grid, try to put things in the middle more and path around them, unless you want the grid aesthetic. Have them weave around crops, buildings, and decor in your main route to look more natural, just find the balance of how much is too much weaving. You don't need a million paths
akljgklwejt
lol
you're welcome! 🙂
i have no words
this great kindness will help me
ill be sure to tell you once i finish designing a new farm
There's probably some other stuff I'm not thinking about, little tips and tricks that I do, so if you ever want any critique or ideas for more designing stuff feel free to ping or dm me! I'm not the best at it by any means, but I do like it a lot and have a lott of farm plans, so I can give you crop layout ideas and stuff if you ever want it
You're welcome! I look forward to seeing what ya make!
Biggest tip I have for starting? Place all the buildings you want in a cluster, and then start at one corner or edge, putting down paths and fences and just seeing where it takes you. Start by the farmhouse, or with crops, or with barns and then go from there 🙂
thanks
i have 3 farms as of the moment, one PC one switch one mobile
PC and mobile are still Y1 and switch is Y13
only 2 million on the switch i was such a noob it was my first farm
Also when you first start a new farm it's not gonna look like the plan you have because you won't have resources or crafting unlocked, so just place your starting crops near the farmhouse and kinda follow the plan vaguely with paths and sprinklers, and then redecorate during winter when not fishing or mining
I mean not to tell ya what to do but thats how I start!
yeah same, my save where I'm planning on doing that first plan I showed ya looks like a big ole mess for now
oof
guys look
tinha um espaço atoa, e eu decidi fazer isso, seria melhor com a arvore de cogumelos, mas como não tenho vai ter q ficar assim, olha
How does one get the mushroom tree? I don't think I've ever actually encountered that on my farm
I like that grouping, I never used to do the staggered fencing like that to make curved pens but I really like the look of it
🍉
How did you get the mushroom boxes outside?
wait
mod
Ah that makes sense
amazing
cjb item menu
cool
anyone wanna start a new farm?
eu acho
eemie's just a new map recolor, i think
the texture of houses i don't know..
it's elle's seasonal
good
fico bom amg
se fazer uma trilha/caminho acho q fica melhor ainda
obg
onde consegue essa planta grande com o vaso roxo?
hey @gloomy pine @rigid hedge please keep messages in english ! thank you
it's portuguese dude
well crap
i know spanish and german
and nothing else
sorry to be insensetive
sry
ah ok, sorry
english is a super weird language anyways. it's okay if you're not perfect at it
It's ok kkkkkk
it's okay
didn't know about this rule
in movie theater
Thank you
@drifting bobcat that's starblue valley!
YES
hey, what do you think of my farm??
It's awesome
i’m trying to find the layout for basic sprinklers
like it was diagonal and it covered everything, but i can’t find it. does anyone have a pic of it?
this one?
yeah!!! tysm haha
you're welcome!!
very nice
thanks!!
isnt that kind of culturally insensitive? i mean i know most of us are english but cant we let them talk here and have their own non-english conversation? its not rlly bothering anyone i dont think
I mean, It's pretty common in servers to keep it to one language, otherwise it's pretty hard to moderate
I think they could create rooms for other languages, as the server is for the game, and other countries also play and etc ...
yeah its because the mods can only moderate conversations in english via rule 6
Bruh it's a rule.
whatever it is, you follow it
that's the agreement to be in the server
they can speak natively in Dm's, or other servers if the want to.
i still think its culturally insensitive, keeping other languages away, but okay
absolutely agree
makes sense
we do allow other languages for troubleshooting and lfg, but discussion is english only
although I think it is a bit selfish, as it is a game server with a very large community from different countries, but as the are the rules ... meh, I just have to respect it, but maybe they could think about it..
I will stop saying this here, since it is the design roomk..
I wanna do something like these for my house.
House Layouts by Stardew Designs on Twitter https://twitter.com/stardewdesigns?s=21
iunno. they work for me in the bedroom, growing through brick.
Like I said, not my designs, but I wanna do something similar
It’d be fitting since Hiltop Farm Farmhouse already starts with a similar aesthetic
bro my house is so perfect but I cant get screen share I will share with u
to get a full screenshot theres a button on the bottom of settings
I bring a super late comment on the house designs shared above.. I have only one thing to say..
And that thing is... windows!!
oh yeahhhhhhh good point
Those are clearly dungeons lol
ikr
and with some of the mods I've seen on Nexus I am worried
would anyone like to create and design a new farm with me?
sure
lmao
Hey could I see some four corners farm designs? I need ideas/inspiration :)
what texture pack is that?
it's written just under a few replies of that picture
eu acho?
read a bit further down
It’s Elle’s seasonal buildings.
i personally love it
It's gorgeous, thanks!
It's still a WIP for sure :D
i just started a new farm and haven't touched it in a hot minute lol
just visual mods
ah nice
Yeah like spanish at the least should be added. That is one of the most widely-used languages in the world, and it isn't particularly hard to learn imo. Im learning it rn in school.
Uh any tips for furnishing a medium sized home? I currently have the kitchen, been using a bunch of plants everywhere, and it feels overfurnished, but out in the center of walls, there's nothin I feel.
I do have catolauges btw
My guys, it's about the mods needing to be able to easily mod, and if the mods don't speak other languages then that's kinda the end of it. It has nothing to do with literally anything else, and it's a very common thing to keep a server in one language :p
As for furnishing, looking at references can give a ton of ideas. Aside from the basic dining area and living space with tables, chairs, coffee tables, and couches... you could make little reading areas, a fake desk setup with a table and chair, a fake pantry using backwards bookcases as room dividers and chests to store meals, use endtables to display gems you have, use fences or stone walls for half walls, stuff like that
Also not everyone has the time to commit to learning new languages for hobby modding a community/fan discord. Sometimes things just need to stay simple.
Yeah, true. It's not trying to exclude anyone, and not being able to speak a different language isn't culturally insensitive. It's just that this server happens to be in english, so to engage in it you just gotta speak english
mmmmmmmmkay
my first time playing
i dont know how people take the zoomed out views. Maybe cause I'm on Switch its not possible
oh yep didnt realize there was more if i scroll down. not far enough to see my traps and farm at same time but certainly better
nah I meant there's supposed to be a screenshot button (at least on PC)
I just looked it up on the wiki and there's a screenshot button on switch and PS4
You can capture an image of your entire farm on every platform except Xbox and Vita. I have a guide in the channel's pins on how to do so!
any ideas about what i should put in the middle? this farm is 100% only for aesthetics so functionality doesn't matter, i'm just out of ideas
idk put a jumino hut or a well
bee hives?
beehives yes
Plant some flowers too. They pair well with the hives
yes
starblue reclolr and elle's seasonal buildings
oh yeah flowers would look nice, thanks!
Put a well in the center, line it with tile but 'skip' the corners. Run a path through the center, then the edges of the outer path with beehives and fill in with flowers.
In short, why not all three?
ya'll have any ideas of how to decorate the normal farm when you just started, no furnaces
Flowers
anyone got any advice for the classic farm? ping me to summon me with answers 👀
Search through this channel with in: farm-designs has: image filter and you'll get ideas
Most use standard farm
Hi
I suppose it's not a "farm" design, but here's a little image of my home in my main playthrough save 🙂
@glass hemlock o wowww, that's awesome. Would totally love to live there xD
I pray the amount of flowers in there don't have a smell as strong as a mall's perfume department or I'd get a headache lol
Oh goodness! I never thought about that 😆 I totally agree with you... ehheh, in real life I promise there'd be less flowers 😉
Thanks! 🧡
Lmao at least not beer bottles, geez, Pam's house must be one hell of a meth lab
Np :)))
Harvey tho
very pretty
also house designs still count as "farm designs" here
Can you build Cabins out there?
Nope, no buildings outside the farm
I see I see
But I'm pretty happy with using this space, having the tapered trees and some space for all the resources and hoarding needs lol
You can! And you can also put tappers on them
bruh im totally putting my trees there
You should, saves a lot of room in the farm
yeah
if you think about it, the only buildings you can actually place out there are TMXL buildables
mod?
yeah
mm
Well, yeah
Come to think of it, there is one TMXL mod that would compliment that well.
Which would that be?
It’s one I use for my quarry, but I edited it a bit personally so it looked better with my recolor: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7163
Oh that would look nice, definitely
Most likely I'll be lining up some seed makers on one of the bottom and still empty spaces, but I will think about that
I was mainly going to use the space to avoid hoarding stuff in the farm buildings and leave room for processing, but this could be a nice touch
Maybe this is a question better suited for using mods... But do you guys know how to remove the seed packets without players joining in and taking them?
no
theres not a way to do that i dont think
it says "this package is for someone else"
I've got both a mod that removes beds and stuff to make use of the whole space and a mod that allows me to upgrade unclaimed cabins
That would be the only detail missing
yeh u should ask #archived-modded-support
Is my living room nice?
I'm still gonna change the bedroom and kitch
and wallpapers
Adorable!
very cute
quietly saves and places in stardew inspo folder

aww but i love how the kitchen lookss its very pretty!!
but it needs more stuff, idk, it feels weird
it's up to you really, if you want to scoot the furnitures aroundd i just love the pinkies
:3
OoOoOH, pretty

I'm gonna finish third year and then gonna start working on my farm
I planted 2/4 with only ancient fruits
then I can fix it to be just the way I like it :3
ohhh, is his modded ??
Yes, it's a modded map by @void epoch (hope you don't mind the ping... also new update on the farm!)
.>
Still have a lot of building to do, but it's getting there
I tried to design a farm
I think it looks okay at least
Unfortunately, fish ponds don't load in. They are near the flower/golden clock zone, and along the far left side of the farm.
You sure you press the "Render in [season]"?
Rendering is a bit buggy sometimes, I'm not sure if that's because of the planner or upload.farm though
@magic merlin what sprinklers are those, are they like prismatic sprinklers that i haven't heard of yet? :0
this is so cute
can I use mods on on going game or I really have to start everything anew?
Yes you can start most in game, rarely some need an entirely new save to run smoothly
Me again 😆 Messing around with the level 1 starter home this time 🙂
Thank-you so much! 🧡 As far as clothes go... I believe those are standard 🤔 The pants are just dyed to that off-white look to match with the overalls 😄
Ahh that's so pretty and cozy!
Yes
I can't believe you can make a starter house so beautiful
BTW how did you get deluxe tress
I think they're usually in the Crane Game at the movie theatre 😃
I mean you shouldn't be able to when you only have starter house
Yeah, generally you can't 😆 In this instance I modded the item in 🙂
Oh thanks for explanation
Yup, those are prismatic sprinklers, it’s a mod :)
Oh that's pretty cool ^-^ @magic merlin
hey guys can someone make a farm design for the lake house
Thanks for the compliment! Like they said, there should be no problem with most mods being added to an ongoing game. With farm maps, if you have many buildings and stuff placed the only thing is they may end up in weird places if you change your map, but that's about it.
ohhh I see, im kinda scared to try it in my current world even though I want that mod in my current :((
You're welcome! Thank you for answering too, downloading that mod now 😅😅
You're downloading the map? Nice! I'm enjoying it very much
My current house layout :)
They are iridium, you need level 9 farming, iridium, battery packs, and gold! They cover 3 times the spaces(5*5) then a quality sprinkler!
Please use spoilee tags
hey, does anyone know why my fish ponds and shipping bins appears in my planner but not in the rendered version?
@neat otter i already have iridium sprinkler, the ones in the picture they posted looked like prismatic sprinklers :)
This was the picture
I do recommend that, it means you can't hoe up your sprinklers
Sometimes things just don't show up in the render, like I found if you put torches on fences in the planner, then in the render those fence posts will be missing. Certain items are fidgety sometimes
aw, that's sad. Wish there was a way to fix it, my farm is completely planned around those fish ponds heheh
but thanks!
Yw!
Yeah, it's been acting up a bit for me. Some of my plans keep failing to render, which is nbd but is irksome
okay so
what you need to do
is CLEAR OUT the fish ponds, like delete them
then delete anything in the planner in the same tiles
make sure you have no pathing selected
and then re-place them
what do you mean "no pathing selected"?
didnt work T_T
i am SO MAD
huh
Idk, I was planning a farm on the Wilderness layout, and every time I put trees or paths next to the edge they disappeared in the render.
Every time without fail.
The next day, I tried one last time, and it all rendered perfectly. I didn't do anything differently, and now it renders them fine. No idea why
@somber crest no shed gang, i appreciate it
I can't imagine not having at least 2 sheds. Where would I put my workshop and animal product machines?
haha thanks, I didn't even know that sheds existed until I've seen them in the planner lol then I went look it up
simple, build a house
you know that are used for your friends
just build a house, upgrade it to the max, use that as storage
But you can't upgrade them singleplayer and can't move the bed
So they're small :p
and or open space
I like using sheds. For the amount of animal products I use because I always have 2 barns and 2 coops, it just saves a lot of space
or just use 4 corners
have your house up there, then 2 spaces for animals, and one for crops
I have the four corners map as my main plan I'm working on.
Top right is crops, bunny coop, shed, stable and cabin
Top left is barns, one coop, shed, and fruit trees
Bottom left is mills, beehives, fishing ponds, trellis crops, and shed
And bottom right is tree farm, slime hutch, void chicken/dino coop, shed, and sap farm
seems legit
you could, make a multiplayer server, have your friends upgrafe the houses to the max, and then ask them to leawve, (on 4 corners map
Oh, true. What do upgraded cabins look like, are they the same as the farmhouse?
Inside
I definitely wouldn't go no sheds. I like to go for a type of game that everything I sell should be processed, so I need tons of kegs and preserves
Except for the cellar apparently, according to reddit
I never have that many kegs, I just find a million kegs to be a hassle. I just always only have as many as I can fit in half a big shed, as the other half are the jars
cellar is the same
Oh, they do have cellars?
I keep seeing threads saying that's not true
Granted they're old
When you have modded the inside of a building... so you have to both put some stuff in in order to count the tiles and then turn Excel into a tile replica of it's size to plan how to fill it...
This will be the biggest artisan goods factory ever
Well, maybe not the biggest ever, but it will certainly produce a lot of stuff
automate, automate, automate, ***automate,***automate,
Definitely automating all of this
But I'll section it off, cause I have PPJA, I don't want whatever item going into whatever machine
Oh uh speaking of PPJA
any mods recomended for that one hakunna?
there's one that makes scrolls and a few others i saw and couldn't find
so how many tiles is that
i'm counting
I'm using a bunch, my current combo is: Artisan Valley + Fruit & Veg + More Trees + Farmer to Florist + Mizus Flowers + Bonster Fruit & Veg + Champagne Wishes for crops and their produce, and also More Recipes + Even More Recipes + Starbrew + Bonster Recipes
It's 41 wide
25 on the longer left side and 22 on the right
Promise! I'll share the final results once I fill this up
Sure, no problem Cat. Also, if you're going down the PPJA road... this is a life saver: https://mouseypounds.github.io/ppja-ref/index.html
Yeah?
is PPJA easy to make a mod with?
because i might make a petrified slime -> slimeball converter
Oooh that sounds good!
also now i need a mod to remove the "throbbing" thing the crafting stations do.
because i've just realized how disturbing it is
I never tried making PPJA mod myself, I just made small personal edits to producer rules, and that was very easy for sure
well i'll see what i can do
redecorating my old hill-top farm savefile, my fav so far
Nice!
still not completely done with the whole farm but it was heavily based on this picture
thankss! but the other side of the farm is not turning out so well, i'll work on it a bit longer before im finally satisfied with how it looks
these farms are awsome
it is
I just made a new farm plan, toying around with the Wilderness farm but I really don't know if I like it. It's not my best, but rather than scrapping it or staring at it for an hour figuring out how to make it so I like it more, imma plop it here. Thoughts? Suggestions? That empty space beside the coops is a fishing pond btw
Looks great to me, like the somewhat labyrinth look going. You made the best of what you got
That farm really doesn't have much space does it
I just don't know if it's too busy, there's like, a lot going on visually
I like aspects of it but as a whole I'm not so sure, but I do like some bits so I'm kinda torn
this is not profitable, I guess
I would have no idea. Never played for so long, am now starting this world with two other players
currently on summer 3rd, first year lol
I recommend you remove the trees that you are using to farm sap and put them in the SPA area, there is a lot of space there and expand the plantation area.
SPA area?
im happy to know other people also appreciate how it looks ♥️
currently in the spring year 4, this is an old save and i started new saves since then and abandoned it :/
now im revisiting and trying to make the farm looks prettier
need to hussle to get the gold clock too haha
hey can i post an interior design here too? like of my shed
yess
Alright then, here's my coffee shop!
any design of the valley is welcomed
its modded btw, thats why that sprinkler is there cuz normally that doesnt work
really love your farmer's outfit haha
idk the name, train area, spa area
looks beautiful to me! since there's not much space to work with so it's definitely a challenge to decorate it. you did better than i could! i love that you have a slime hutch on the farm
Thank you! Yeah I wanted to have multiple, in honor of the whole monsters thing, I thought that could be my farmer's main thing but I didn't like how more than one on the farm looked. Definitely not easy to fit stuff in, no

i can't get it to show the buildings fully?
I clicked render in spring but it didn't seem to work
this is my plan so far, any tips? I feel like I am forgetting something
Unimos?
how can you do a picture from the whole farm???
im not good at designing, however I love plants so here's my home 🙈
What is wrong with the barns
there's a screenshot option at the very bottom of options
ohh thx
did some decorating
looks great
how have people been designing the museum? i always have a hard time figuring out i want to organize it
I tend to put the scrolls on that one line on the top left, and all the minerals in one place, and all the gems in another place, and the fossils in another place.. Basically things that match go together
Personally I like this design the most. I forget where I found it but it’s pretty cool from an organizational stand point if that’s what you’re looking for
thanks, ive seen this one online but i never really understood the thought process to the layout
but really thank you!
omg time to mess around with the beach farm
I can't get on my PC yet but I'm so excited to see the layout of the beach farm
Anyone wanna start a new Farm?
Here's the new beach farm for anyone that wants a head start designing or anything!
actually on the inside none of the visual mods effected anything
oh ok
watering by hand let’s goooo
okay there are tilable area
this seems like a good farm for non sprinkler sytles
like ponds, slimes, and ranching
or perhaps just asteric
asteric?
and exactly what i was thinking. was there anything said about grass not growing in sand?
grass still grows on the sand
So what is that cave at the bottom that you can't access
Left of the per
Anyone else see that
yeah, i see it. i'm getting on PC now to mess around with it haha
op yeah i got to it
@blissful lodge ||there's a hole right under the pine tree, directly above the cave||
Ok
woah what is that
What should I name my beach farm
if you look in the bottom left corner of the pic you posted, is that little cave thing
ohh yeah well spotted, I wonder what it does 👀
maybe new legend fish or something would be cool
def a good spot for fishing haha, i doubt i’ll do a lot of actual farming on this farm
probably ranch + fishing?
i wonder how many barns/coops we can fit on there
i've really been wanting to do a ranching-only run for the farm for a while now
might do that with the new farm
maybe only do crops in spring to get off the ground/crops for bundles and then only ranching from then
SLI<MES
i still don’t know what to do with the slimes in the slime hutch
i need a mod that makes the slime hutch prettier tho lol
Finally reached 24 hour playtime, got about this far.
Current farm on stand by.. starting a new beach farm as soon as I get off work! Omg so excited
you are not immune to my year 1 farm that ive recreated twice
close to 800 crops here
an absolute nightmare at the change of seasons to work with
But are they ancient fruit?
they can be
Explain please how can I get this
How you can get what?
The expanded farm,it seems to me that you expanded past the bus stop
He's using the Stardew Valley Expanded mod
Oh thank you, I was very confused lol
It's such a huge map
Oh excuse me, he's actually using the Immersive Farm 2 Remastered mod, in combination with stardew valley expanded (probably)
Correct! I'm also using Ridgeside Village, but it doesn't show in this picture 😦
Cool, I'll have to try that one sometime
You might need the clear fauna mod if you're using a modded map, you'll definitely need it with the IF2R map.
Thanks for the tip!
heyyy, how did u put that design on you house? it looks so cute
I'll make the new map available in the planner tomorrow (EU time)
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6949
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3733
I'm undecided on which to go for ;-;
FOOD FOOD FOOD at the start of seasons
omg me neither those are both so cute!
the second one tho
I ended up with the first one xD
this was my first time using the planner, any feedback?
@icy frost maybe instead of the crop city at bottom left, add a bit of grass, trreets, etc
trees*
on bottom left all is grass it wouldnt let me render tho
oh, ok
trees are a good i will do that thank 🙂
but otherwise, it's good
yay im glad to hear that
spent of today on my ultimate farm so i can start on beach asap hahaha
ngl i'm super proud of this one for aesthetics though
top right maybe
near the teleporter totem? or by the soon-to-be Abigail training zone?
totem
Sounds good, i'll clear the stumps when i upgrade my axe and i'll survey out a good spot for it near there
actually, say around where i'm standing here?
looks good
i'll feel bad for the Cat when it gets here; but it's a nice spot for it
the wood path will give a fake RP means to get the feed
hey y'all , does the planner site have to update still for the new patch?
I doubt so soon. I actually came in here just now to ask if anyone knows any other efficient ways to plan out your farm.
if anyone knows of any other sites to plan that has the new beach farm lmk! im rly curious as to how it would turn out haha
Same here! Maybe not beach farm but I wanna redesign my farm now that I can move the greenhouse.
Just need a way to do so without the trial and error of doing so in-game, unless there's mods for that
wait, we can move the greenhouse? i'm gonna turn grandpa's island into a picnic area
My farm is designed around that greenhouse, but I'll be damned if I'm not finally gonna move it
Beach farm will be available in the planner later today, hold tight :)
🥲
Yes it does. I will work on it today
appreciate your dedication to the game so much ❤️ im excited !
Damn, didn't think Farmplanner was that on-point! Greatly appriciated
any idea suggestions :// im not so good at designing
scarecrows : )
Got a long way to go but it's getting more organised by the minute.
(Also please ignore the randomly tilled spots, I was planning where to put crops, sprinklers and the hut for summer. :') )
Looking neat, Lucia! :)
is there anyone with a good beach farm design already
new updated house from 1.5
@gloomy pine is it in-game?! I don,t remember seeing houses with a second room on the bottom right
wow cool
It does feel almost unwieldy huge
The new beach farm is now available in the planner:
https://stardew.info/planner/
You can find it under Layouts -> Beach.
Please note that it is currently missing the pathing, I'll be updating that later today.
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Thank you! I'll try to organise the crops better by placing the junimo hut first. But now I don't want to get rid of the strawberries :')
Would anyone be able to share some designs for the hilltop farm please? Having a creative block when it comes to designing my farm lmao
farmsofstardewvalley subreddit has quite a few !
https://www.reddit.com/r/FarmsofStardewValley/?f=flair_name%3A"%3AHill-top_Farm%3A Hill-top"
When I click on the Beach Farm layout, nothing changes?
ooooh
@spiral coyote try another browser
It worked on Edge, but not on my Chrome. Strange
Does anyone know if the beach farm has way more buildable tiles than the standard map and is a lot bigger? I tried to figure it out with the planner by placing wood paths and it seems like this. although i think i did something wrong because i counted 4700. Seems way to much.
Thank you! :))
Just refresh the page in Chrome, it'll work now. Your browser had cached the old layouts file :)
Thank you
Are there any farm planners that work on android mobile? I used the one posted earlier but once I left my browser it didn't save.
You must press the save button and save the url
- pain* this is all i could do about the beach farm, i have no idea of what to do more, i like to always go for the aesthetics and make my farm pretty so thats why im having a hard time planing it, anyone have good ideas of what i could do?
The sand works just like regular flooring just like dirt just no sprinklers, my advice would be move the barn and coop somewhere on the sand there so the grass could actually grow(grass they eat doesnt grow where your going to place them)
OH I LOVE YOUR FARM DESIGN? how long did it take you to do?
Yup, it’s the Ultimate modded farm! https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6348
Thank you so much!
It look a couple hours, I think?
Haha you can do a lot with the default map too, but using other maps is really interesting
This was my first modded farm? There’s a lot of other popular modded ones like Immersive 2, which I think comes with SVE
what map do u think would be good for breaking out of my comfort zone without going TOOO far
If you value aesthetics, I’ve been looking at Meever’s White Water Farm Map… it’s so pretty
Ultimate or Immersive are two really popular and good choices too! They’re really big though, so sometimes I spend the whole day on the farm, or I only tend to one section a day before heading out to mine or smth
Plus they’re already added onto the SV farm planner thing haha
does anyone has a picture of the grandpa's farm from sve
hi farmers... anyone know if update allows moving fruit trees in any way?
my planned beach farm layout
the crystal paths represent furniture (exactly what kind of furniture, im not sure)
any opinions?
also it wouldnt let me render it in spring so theres that
i also forgot to save it to the farm planner
oh noes
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Planner now has data-layer info available for the new beach map as well.
what is data-layer for?
data-layer shows which parts of the map are tillable and buildable. So you could more exactly plan out your map in the planner.
ohhh this is really helpful 😮
@torpid mist hei, in case you happen to be around at some point. Planner is using "beach" as the new map ID. If you could throw it into the supported maps that can be rendered via the API, that'd be great
Whaaaa... how are you suppose to get to the greenhouse?
you can walk over the small patch of rocks that cross between the two islands
Ah I see
you can also move the greenhouse
not sure if this has been mentioned but the farm planner won't render for the beach and four corners farm layout for me? Not sure why..
Hey guys, does the Beach Farm give the same fishes or same quality fishes as the ones on the ocean near Willy?
The planner doesn't actually do the rendering part, that's handled by https://upload.farm/. It's possible they haven't updated for 1.5 yet, although don't explain why Four Corners wouldn't be rendering
ahh, I see. Thank you
Why is the beach so complicated to work with 😔
I haven't tried the beach farm yet sadly : (
I wanna make mine look like this buy switch = no mod
same
Four corners hasn't rendered for me for like a week, (if you've noticed I've complained about it a few times, lol)
I'm expecting the planner will probably have an update? With the new tree types and machines (I think there are more machines)? And stuff, so it'll prooobably get fixed then
kinda impossible. sorry.
I've been modifying one of my old farm plans with my new style and I've been having a blast. I can't wait to see the late game stuff in one of my older saves
Would you be ok if I used this as inspiration/help for my farms layout?
hello peeps! just a question, is it normal for upgraded sheds to disappear in upload farm?
that happens to me too
is it not possible to move the greenhouse in the planner?
Only with mods can the greenhouse be moved I believe
i dont think so, because i can move mine without any. i think its a new feature with 1.5 so maybe its just not part of the planner yet
i do remember that i couldnt move it before 1.5 so thats probably the case
Yep! In 1.5 you can now move the greenhouse and the shipping bin to the right of the farmhouse
Shed finally finished
1.5 hasn’t came out on the platform I’m on so when then happens I’ll have to figure some neat way of adding more spaces
im still trying to figure that out too since im playing with my old save
it'll be easier to start a new game but it's my fav farm and i like it to have a lil bit of everything in it
maybe after im done with that i'll start a mew farm!
I wonder when the map planner will be updated with the new stuff
I dont wanna have to make major changes to my favorite layout
since it adds ||3 new fish|| you could use those spots 😄
or replace the chests
I’d prob replace the chest, it just has extra fish in them
i mean sure but if you post it and it basically copies a lot then say "i got some ideas from fenrys"
It's summer so I got to change up the fields a bit.
That's a cool farm
Thank you!
What farm is that-
It's the forest farm.
Thank
I don't gave pictures of what I want my farm to look like
Have*
But I know what I want it to look like
im glad other ppl spend all of witner just pimping out their farms even in eyar 1
My first ever playthrough of Stardew Valley - what do yall think about my farm?
oh the trees... chefs kiss
thanks so much :sparkling_heart:
thanks, yeah the paths are a little wide but I kinda imagine my farmer and other characters touring the farm together
Of course! Thank you! I’m mainly just going to see how you set everything up for functionality, so I’m sure some of the buildings will be in the same place but it shouldn’t be an exact replica or anything c:
my dumb butt planned a whole beach farm with sprinklers on the sand LOL
i might end up filling the bottom part of beach completely with slime hutches
anyone have tips on where to put the fruit trees on the mountain farm?
Idk I've only made two mountain farm plans, you know that raised bit in the middle right with the two stairs? I put them there in one plan, and in the other I put the trees on that stretch directly to the left of it
Is there anyone who player the expansion farm thing with grandpas's shed
Like the smaller version of the really big one
Cannot get the new Grandpa's farm to load
UGH! NM, found problem, PyTK and TMXL need updates
How does my house look?
i think it looks amazing
I'm compiling all these pretty houses for inspiration
im late but that's very nice!
I'm creating a new farm plan for 1.5 and apparently this new plan will have me planting 1,536 crops 2-3 times a season, 384 more than the design on my 1.4 farm......
Oo
that’d probably take some time to make, especially since some of the mods that you can use to make that are broken atm, but it’s definitely possible to make.
Oop
I put this in new farmers not sure if it was the right place. But I'm trying to figure out the best layout for sprinklers, scarecrows and crops.
depends on the type of sprinkler, scarecrow, and crop
Regular basic scarecrow, I'm in year 1 fall, and the quality sprinkler
if you plan on doing grapes the design will need to be completely different due to the trellis, so thats why i asked crop type
- Quality sprinkler
- I'm setting it up for winter crops
- Basic scarecrow
here's a basic design. normal crops on left, trellis crops on right. there are no winter crops besides winter seeds, which produce foragables
Any good farm designs for growing mainly strawberries and grapes?
Thank you so much!! And thanks about the winter crops! Haven't played winter yet I'm on year 1 😅
you can use stardew.info to create your own designs, and on the website theres an option menu that allows you to see the range of scarecrows, sprinklers, and other things, which i find to be really helpful
now for my own question. is there anything wrong with putting the fish ponds right on top of each other like this? I haven't messed with them much and don't know if I'm ever gonna need to access specifically the top/bottom side of a fish pond
It's space saving, 2 tiles are needed for the horse to be able to get through.
so theres nothing wrong with this design then?
Yeah, it's your preference
Playing multiplayer with someone else. This is how did mine with the fish pond
@sage palm
yeah, the reason i have it like that is because of lack of space in that area. i was just asking if doing compact like that would make me lose out on some functionality of the ponds or not
Since it was multiplayer and I knew the person who was playing with me love to fish so... based his area about Fishing.
Nope, as long you can collect the ||roes|| it should be fine.
Just finished my farm plan for 1.5, it feels like I'm missing something important but I can't figure out what. Also the nature of the design might be considered a 1.5 spoiler so click at your own risk: ||https://stardew.info/planner/33-great-crabs-loitered-jovially/||
1,533 crops, 8 ponds, 12 sheds, a barn and a coop. I think I did pretty well, and theres even space for a bit more if needed
What’s all the stumps in the lower right corner for?
at least, i like my crop area. i don't like everything around it lOL
oh shi
ok i need to figure out how to make a pic a spoiler
i thought it didn't count as spoiler since CA announced it, my bad! i'm so sorry
I think:
||It's too spread out, section it out like:||
||1. For animals||
||2. Crops that doesn't need watering (Fruit trees, Tea trees etc)||
||3. Areas for other players?||
haha yeah i definitely agree, idk why it just looks so industrial.
||i might move some non-water-needing crops up to right in front of the house though, i think i just like the look of that||
||might stuff all the animals into the lower corner? i wanna see the ducks swim lol||
||slime hutches really just be bulky tho||
actually|| i doubt it'll be that much of a pain to water the crops every day? maybe just a few in groups of 3, idk ||
i'd love some tips for how to make farms actually look nice, i'm just starting my first winter and my farm is still pretty barren x_x" i'm also using a modded farm map so there's a lot of space lol
I love me some symmetry, maybe that'll help?
Admittedly a mostly complete farm, but maybe you can grab ideas?
(Also ngl I kinda just wanted to show it off, heehee)
Ooh pretty
One thing I like to do is plan out where I want everything even before I have use for it, like my orchard and plots.
(...I hope the beach map has room for my orchard)
That looks so pretty and aestheticccc
It is sooo pretty
Thank you! ^_^ I'm really, really proud of it
Decorating and designing is one of my favorite parts of games like this
holds hands out can i get ur modlist ?
this is BEAUTIFUL
X3 Of course!
Lesse, uh...
Overgrown Garden Farm
Medieval Buildings
Seasonal Fences
Seasonal Floorings
Animated Junicrows
More Trees
Farmer to Florist
Blossoming Trees
I believe those are everything you're seeing there.
Plus Flower Valley
Everything but Overgrown Garden Farm seems to be!
And I only say the farm because of the oddities with the greenhouse and custom farm maps since 1.5
what map do u run
does this run well on the default map
cus thats the onyl one my brain can make me play
is there a version for the good old default
IDK what it is my brain is just like. default good
lots of space for farm
I'm not sure, but DaisyNiko has a ton of farm maps: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/users/61079406?tab=user+files
made the dwarf a TV room
you need some ||mahogony trees|| there, maybe?
Are those cotton candy plants?
They look super neat
If I remember right, those are actually hyacinths from More Flowers?
Yesssss I'm so excited to find all the new stuff for my garden. I started a new playthrough just for that!
Where are the new community upgrades of the shortcuts
A first year minimalist farm. Currently out of ideas, but will wait until spring year 2 to start building again. Any ideas?
Should I do another planting area and then let a space to put a barn for the cows like i did with the chickens? Another 9 croping area and then a little space in the corner for the cows
But then idk what to do with the side of the house
Stable, Barn, shed?
Clearly a WIP, still I've started to transition to something that looks like a farm rather than pure mess. Fall Y2.
Eventually I'd like to build something like that. With the barns replaced by big shacks with lots and lots of barrels to wine my future ancient fruit (still multiplying in the greenhouse)
Think I'll stick to the 24 animals I have now.
Only problem with that design (the bottom one) is that I dont think that's enough space for even 24 animals to eat.
what farm mod is that
nice ~ very symmetrical
anyone have any beach farm plans that I could look at for inspiration?
I haven't found any plans for inspo, barely started my own...
I think one thing imma do that is different than normal is have my crops spaced between paths in 6x3 batches rather than a field, so I can run down the middle and water once I get an iridium can
I don't have any other ideas though... I'm looking forward to when -if- the farm planner gets updated so I can see the new stuff to plan with
thats one thing i want farm planner to add is the furniture since you can place it outside now
Yeah, and the ability to ||move the greenhouse|| in the planner since you can do that in game
Idk if that was spoiler-tag worthy, but just in case
I was thinking instead of a lot of crops I would become a honey farmer and make mead with it. I do like the 6x3 areas for crops though, might integrate that as well
yeah i think the big idea with the new map is just...not be crop focused, i mean do what you want but ideally you shouldnt have to water a lot of stuff
Yeah, I think on the beach farm I'm also gonna lean more on artisan production, 'cause it already takes me a decent chunk of time in game to perform my daily routine of bopping by each barn and my animal product shed, even with automatic feeders and the collection thing. I can't imagine adding the need to water a lot of crops to that
honey farmer is very cute idea though i've wanted to try that
So I think while imma have some crops, not too many
thats my thought process too
It'll also take a bit to get to the point where you have enough bee houses for that to be a viable source of income, though. It's 8 coal, 1 maple syrup, 40 wood, and 1 iron bar per bee house
Anyone know if you can plant flowers in the sand and if that affects the honey quality of bee houses at all?
i have no idea about the honey quality( personally wouldn't think it would be affected) but im like 99% sure you can plant flowers in the sand
Alright, cool. Thanks!
For the beach, do sprinklers just not work at all or can they work on the dirt patch with all the hard wood?
they work on the patch of dirt yea !
i believe it doesn’t let you place them on the sand
Oh, great!
Yes I have one
it wouldnt render for some reason so theres just the picture 👀
Looks good! Working on mine right now
Mm yeah
Don't we have to spoiler tag new content?
Pretty sure farms included, could be wrong though.
wow
cool
you might wanna consider putting wood paths instead of crystal paths ~ thats my opinion tho
I'd agree on the basis that crystal paths are kinda costly to make, otherwise I think it looks good
Thanks
My rough plan for the beach map. Gonna focus on bees, honey, and mead. Not confident with what path choice I want to use yet so have stone there for now
id say its an ideal map for tea, as it doesnt need to be watered
beach farm progress
main ranching/tea/coffee export
kinda irritating how the rice shoots are always like one space too far away from the ocean lol
what are the purple buildings?
slime hutches! i have elle's seasonal buildings as a mod
Do you have the link of the mod?
ahh, nice
pretty sure you can just google it?
👍
My new house
jeez thats a LOT of bee houses
Lots of honey lol
ur making lots of progress rlly fast im impressed
Nice to see someone else uses Elle’s Seasonal Buildings
thanks! i usually speed through the first year since i've played it through so many times i know what to do haha
Elle's Seasonal Buildings is great. I love how it keeps the classic design while also making it look more put together. Plus she gave a lot of choices for each type, so that's great too
The other aesthetic one I use is Angel's Japanese Buildings, I think
speaking of which I really like that one too, so I’m updating it for 1.5
I'm so pleased with my mushroom patch
finished up on my river farm :3
Thats so pretty!
thank you im on year 3
decided to finally do something different after getting to year 7 on the regular farm haha
I only just started playing im on like day 4 or something
i hope u have a lot of fun, i love this game to death
I also like it but idk how to fill my watering can
Ooh that sounds logic :'D
LOL it happens
It's the Overgrown Garden Farm for the forest farm map!
100% using this design for inspiration of my riverland farm. Love it
that is one of the sickest riverland farm designs i've seen LOL, that one is always kinda wack to design on
new house design using 1.5 features
wow
i like the kids room and the museum
museum table isnt centred but otherwise it looks super good!! <3
Pretty!
Does anyone have any building mods suggestions for the beach layout?
I'm looking into house designs I had my old house just how i wanted it (if not a bit cluttered) and then the update!!
omg i didn’t even notice HAHA i need to go fix that
tysm for letting me know
not modded! these are all things you can get in a vanilla game :)
Do the kids go to the proper beds though?
not sure, i haven’t actually had the kids yet (not even married LOL). really good question though
i’ll try later in a save with kids and i’ll let you know, if you want
thank you!!! hope urs turns out great too :)
my horse really loves his pink bow 💗
Woah!
nearly done with summer! ahh i love autumn in the game
Changed the house to be themed after Toriel’s Home
answer: nope, kids don't go to their proper beds lol (sorry for the ping!)
me sobbing, seeing this after doing a genocide run
i like my lil house
RIP Genocide sucks. I couldn’t bring myself to murder Flowey, so I reset right after beating Sans.
which farm type is this? it looks pretty
@olive escarp it's the vanilla hill-top farm with a couple of visual mods!
I use vibrant pastoral recolour for the green fall option and grass replacement
the top part of the farm is still under WIP but im satisfied with how the other areas turned out
WOAH so colorful
what map is that?
yess the grass replacement really changes the whole look of the farm!
hill-top farm but i cropped out the top part of the farm
It looks awesome!
after many, many, many thinking i was finally able to figure out a way to plan my beach farm, it truly is a christmas miracle
the stone paths are the places i want to put some furniture
That looks really pretty :o
i had the idea to use the cabins as if they were like, a little village :))))
im happy whit it cant wait to see how it will look in game

Switching to Riverland. I love the Beach, but Riverland is just easier to plan and more aesthetically pleasing for me
thanks!
i love the pathing and the junimo placement! do you mind if i use some of the design as aspiration for my beach farm?
omg omg
no no its okie! im happy that someone likes them too! ur farm surely will look wonderful
Is there a limit for building a coop and barn?
Gave my fields a stone fence. Any tips which floor to use? I don't quite like the wood planks. Maybe stone floor?
Maybe I should move the fields elsewhere but the other area on my farm is used for grass for the animals.
I like stepping stones a lot in general
Can you use the bottom edge tiles for crops, or should I go up a row? https://stardew.info/planner/11-old-platypuses-jumped-cordially/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
im a big fan of weathered floors
Eh, screw it, I'm going for big winery shenanigans for my 1.5 farm: https://stardew.info/planner/34-fast-herons-felt-easily/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
I'll be pumping out 999 wines a week
hi! i have the riverland farm but i hate it, does anyone know if there's a way to change your layout? i have like 3 years and i don't wanna lose my progress lol
Am I missing anything? A lot of the stone floors are just placeholder, especially in front of the shrine. https://stardew.info/planner/4-hard-pigeons-talked-merrily/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
The silos indicate where the greenhouse will move to. I'm thinking obelisks and the horse to the right of the house maybe?
i think there used to be a way to change it but there will be some minor glitches resulting from farm change mid game. you'll have to open the game files or something. not sure if it's still possible after 1.4 and 1.5
that's a lotta crops to care for but i like it
personally for me 3 tiles of stone pathing is too big, i think you can stack at least 2 fish ponds together under the shrine as to save space
Oh that stone pathing definitely won't be around the shrine. Trees, statues...idk
Probably a mix of steppingstone and cobblestone pathing in empty spaces
oohhh i love trees and statues around the shrine!! yess that'll be beautiful
Trees don't look great in the planner, one of those things you gotta do by trial and error in the game
Might even do mahogany!
trees, grass and seasonal decors around the sheds
cant wait to see the finished work
you can build the stable right next to the house
mahogany sounds great
I'll be especially happy to see it without the awkward greenhouse placeholder 😛
i still haven't planted any in my farms because i dont want to make any changes to them
i'll start the beach farm soon
Yeah, I knew I'd have to start a new one for 1.5. Moving the greenhouse is big.
and moving the greenhouse feels weird to me but maybe i'll figure something out soon
yess same
I like the greenhouse positions in general, but even just that ability to shift a tiny bit like mine will is super handy. One tile in one direction can be all the difference.
true that, i agree
Haven't really cleared out the old crops yet 😕
Quick question but how do you guys take an entire birdseye screenshot of your farm like that? 😅
Also I absolutely love how you've arranged your crops with the junimo huts in the middle! 😍
Oh! Never noticed that 🙈 Thank you!
Btw has anyone used the Sauvignonin Farm mod before? 🙂
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4680 The designs on the images by the mod author looks beaaaaautiful 😍 I can't wait to try it once updates start rolling out haha
If you're playing on Android you can purchase a Stardew Save Editor on play store to change your farm type
tysm ☺️
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
It's coming along. I probably will move the gold clock, I'm not sure it will look good there at the shrine. Maybe I could flank the shrine with two of them? It's hard to find a good place for that darned gaudy thing.
Still need to figure out an obelisk array to the right of the house.
I will be restarting as much as necessary to get some large debris in the yard where I'm placing the slime hutch 🤪
Hahah the vanilla clock does look a little blaring. 😂 But I think it’ll look pretty good there (if you don’t mind the shrine being hidden by it!) Plus leaving it there probably saves you some space too ☺️
There are mods to replace the way the clock looks if you’re fine with modding! Here’s one that’s pretty cute: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5390
This one looks more clock-ish: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1771
Hm. Maybe? Obviously some pathing and maybe other objects as well.
Ditched the net on the pond.
Love the symmetry of everything
There we go. The lava eel pond also serves as the sacrifice pool. 😛
Blood for the blood god
I'm close! I can't represent the braziers or other statues I might place around the shrine, among other planner limitations. But I think I've pretty much got my plan once I figure out where to put the darned obelisks: https://stardew.info/planner/8-warm-cattle-whimpered-cordially/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
My old save I'm currently playing in, idk if it's good inspo tho
Love the central farming area!
The empty space lower left it's a fishing ponds, and the 2 tile empty spaces by the little pond ans the silos are for shipping bins
Thanks!
Anyone got a good farm house interior design I can...copy?
I got two full sized farmhouses, idk if they're good enough that you wanna copy but I can show you both if you want
Sure! Thanks
okay one sec I lost the folder, gotta find it again lol
These are my old save files so there's nothing new in them update-wise
i love it
also
are there any working different map layouts for the new update?
bc now the greenhouse is movable some maps broke 😦
What do you mean?
stupid question, how are the 8 tile radius from the scarecrow meant? :0
are you asking what the tile radius around the scarecrow means in the planner?
well, im wondering if its like miecraft with an 8x8 area or if it only means the surrounding 8 tiles directly around the scarecrow !
But are you talking about in the planner?
The green tile radius is the area the scarecrow covers. So if a crop is in the radius it won't get eaten by crows, but even if it's one tile outside the radius it could potentially get eaten by a crow. If you're in game and you're asking what the area looks like / how big the area is, you can either go to the wiki and there's a picture with the highlighted tiles to show what the area looks like, or you can go in the Stardew Planner, place down a scarecrow, and then toggle "show scarecrows" under the options to see for yourself
It covers 8 spaces to the north, south, east, and west outward from the scarecrow, and 6 spaces between because it's like a circle
thank you so much ! im sorry i was a bit confused and must have misunderstood some things , my bad for asking here. i appreciate your help, thank you ! :)
You're welcome 🙂
:)
sorry for the late reply. had to afk for awhile. thanks for the designs @lavish hawk
looks really good!
You're welcome!
Thanks 🙂 I hope they helped some
Do you mind sharing if you have mods and which ones? I love the coloring and overall look of your farm
The mods are: Daisy Niko's Ultimate farm & Daisy's Earthy Recolor. The buildings are Elle's Seasonal Buildings, and the sprinklers are from Prismatic Sprinklers mod, and I have the tractor mod too
All your farms look beautiful 🥺❤️
Mine’s focused more on churning out money and crops right now so it’s a mess 😅
Wot is this
How can I upload Farmhouse pictures?
Flowers
dw im on year 4 and mine is still a mess
Standard. You will fiddle with farm every winter till it feels right.
Was reworking my yr 13 farm last night making room for 1.5 stuff. Farm never done...
I'm finding it hard to plan the beach farm, oh dear, it's tough
do any of you use any other farm layours for your farms?
i have the standard one and am taking suggestions
I have used modded maps, are you looking for one or just asking for the vanilla one?
i kind of wanna try something else
I have a lot of standard farms where all that's modded is how the buildings look
Lmao I'm in year 6 and it's a big big mess
but send anything you have, everything is welcome
That looks nice! I never tried that one though, I have so far completed one called OmniFarm, and I was mid way another modded when 1.5 came out (It will stay on stand by)
Here
Ooo those are cool!
omg i love them
Those are pretty much my favorites I've done so far
so cool!
Gorgeous farms
im scared of using new maps honestly because i fear it will break at some point and fuck up my fame
GAME
i love them @red obsidian
do you guys recommend using new maps lol
I finished a huge map without problems
ithink everything is broken right now honestly bc of the new update
It's most probably the reason
I did a 6 year farm on a modded map and never had a single issue
I do recommend trying a modded layout, but maybe after a while, when mods are more stable to 1.5
You make me jealous@red obsidian 👁️ 👄 👁️
This one is called OmniFarm and it replaces the combat map
i just hate everything i do so everything i do i think it looks ugly you know
i want to start a beach farm, but im struggling to make a nice layout for it
i saw some people making layouts for it
no matter what i do i always hate it lol
I started a beach layout, I'm early summer Y1, and I'm trying to plan right now
im still on my old save waiting for ppl to post their layout so i can see what it looks like
What type of map?
I can't seem to render the progress of my plan so far
