It is! You won't be able to render it since upload.farm doesn't support them, but you can still save an image of the plan for sharing
@swift axle what cosmetic mods are those?
Also, wren, you don’t need to stitch together screen shots, there is a mod which lets you take a photo of whole farm
Lemme get link
cute!
ty!
my animal section of my farm
@kind abyss I didn't stitch together my screenshot, I had time frozen mode on hence you can see it on the screenshot
So you used the mod?
I turned on the mod when I took the screenshot
I guess that makes sense how it works? It stitches together for you
Hence you can see the time frozen sign, that is if you look it closely.
Oh I didn't use the mod, I use the in-game screenshot
Then why would it be all over the screen shot?
I have no idea, I turned on the time frozen by CJB and it's showing that

Those barns look so nice, what mod is that? :ooo
An update on my farm <3
Ayy that loook really good
4 corners,my corner.Any ideas
consider moving the barn and coop to another corner
that isn't enough grass for them
@fervent granite great idea,thanks 😄
made this,opinions?
oooh i like!!!
well thats alot of sheds
I agree.
I think it has rather too many barns and coops but it's your map
I usually have just one of each
@dawn ice mediveal buildings by Gwen
I have 3-4 sheds.
i want to have sheds for storage and other items
whats the best layout for the celler?
If you play on pc:
Cool
thank you
Ooc y all ever put kegs in ur cellar ?
Is that like a big no no move
Cuz on my last game I lined them up along the left side
I think most people don't because you can put kegs anywhere, but casks can only go in cellars
Especially now with the shed upgrade
Ah gotchu see I didn't even kno that
I've never rlly had enough kegs to fill all the casks
I had read somewhere that if you put grass on the outside of a fence, it’ll grow into the fence without being eaten. Is that true? I tried it and it doesn’t seem to be working...
Not quite, you'll need to put grass down and place the fence on top of it :)
trying to work on a multiplayer farm for some friends, want it to look nice and be functional
@drowsy wigeon you need to put it on a lightning rod or something else.
fences have a smaller hitbox that can be passed through
nah the paths are cool, it's looking good so far
Here's my basement. Fully stocked with 189 Casks. I check it the 3rd of every month
how do you walk through the cask?
I don't. When they are done I make a path
It's been a lot easier now that the Casks stack. Used to take until nearly 8-9pm to get it done. Now I get it done around 5PM. Both times was with liberal doses of coffee
@worldly crown Great layout! I'd recommend adding a few more lightning rods somewhere, but otherwise it looks good :)
@vale lake dude.
I made the same mistake with the trees
buy the bombs now.
get rid of them, before it's too late.
I tried bombs, barely works
could use a few more trees
[jokes]
not joking though if you had automate you could swap out a single cask with a chest and not have to go through all the work of destroying/replacing/refilling them
That's a mod for PC? Unfortunately I'm on the switch
But 189 iridium Starfruit wines every two month at 6300 a pop with artisan is kinda worth it
Little over a mil every two months
nice
I'm doing a 'No shipping for 10 yrs' on my farm. Currently on year 6. Do you guys want to see my results when I'm done?
Last run was 5 years but I forgot to switch back to Artisan from Agriculturalist
I got 42,681,580g from the 5 yr. Would have been a lot more with Artisan
I plan on breaking the game
I was always terrible at that. It always took me to at least year 2 to be financially successful.
I'm just terrible at the game, in general ahaha
if i really want to go for cash, i tend to buy as much of the highest yielding pay crop i can get for the season (so cauliflower, pumpkin or melon)
otherwise probably a good idea to focus on mining or fishing, as leveling up will help you to accrue more and better, high yielding sellables
Im letting the grass grow for hay
how did u get the dinosaur egg by fall year two
you can get it during year 1 by fishing or at skull cavern
ik but I've not gotten it and I'm year 6 qwq
I got the Dino egg day 3 lol
I haven’t got only got one by year 7 on my other farm
It do be like that
just plain ol luck
It was fishing btw
fishing where?
Anywhere.
Dino eggs come from fishing treasure chests, which are constant wrt fishing location.
Sometimes you can get them from artifact spots usually around the mountain lake /Carpenter shop area
autumn year 2, most crops are harvested
Prettty 😍. Mine feels like a mess when I look at you guy's work
@vale lake well, use A LOT OF BOMBS
IT TAKES AROUND 3 MEGABOMBS FOR ONE TREEE.
also, new plan!
I can add more trees later, but the lag was killing my computer
That's the hill-top farm, if you're asking about CatBagel's layout :)
And it looks good! Don't forget scarecrows though
I like having horsies near my house rather than across the farm
hey I made it better
Also, If you want, I take free commissions for layouts.
i'n not a superdetailed PRO but I can get a pretty good layout down.
and I have a couple super-scarecrows hidden, one behind the well, and on behind the greenhouse.
and one behind the cabin
Ah, that explains it. Very well hidden :)
yep. I like to have streamlined & uniwue farms.
also, still will do commissions.
People commission you for farm layouts? @drifting bobcat
no, I mean that if you want me to do a layout design on the planner for you, I will.
free of charge.
(so it's not really a commission.)
if its free, thats a Request
dont undersell yourself, catbagel
I'll pay you $5 to plan a wilderness map with maximum ROI, emphasis on sheds, no slime huts, 1 stable
if it's extra good I'll tip more
Okay, aesthetics question;
Should I move my planying area one square right for better symmetry with my fish ponds...
Or move my fish ponds all one square right?
id vote for moving the fish
@fossil compass i tend to prefer requests because I don't have a paypal or anything.
@lost spade make the pathway inbetween the fish 2 large.
also @lost spade cut out the middle row of iridium sprinklers and put a couple junimo huts.
plus, I also just like doing the plans.
if I HAD a paypal, I would charge $5, but I don't, and I can't set one up (family issues.exe)
also @lost spade again, give the animals less space. not too little, like, say, down to the second pond.
also @fossil compass
Here's the farm, free of charge
IDK if Ive posted this before
that's very sweet of you, thank you cat 💕 maybe you could look into setting up like.. a patreon/gofundme/venmo at some point
your labor should never be exploited
no problem. i would set up a paypal, or a venmo for some other people, but i prefer to do favors.
@icy pasture want one?
yeah.
DM me a breif description (like bumblebean did earlier) and i'll give you one of my already made ones, or you can request one custom.
okay cool, thanks!
ye I'd like that uwu
ye know the drill.
Hi, i am new to v2 planner..i couldn't find my v2 planner save file in both win7 & win10 pc..anyone share where the save file location is?
Planner designs are saved with a unique url
Or are you asking where Stardew save files are located? On Windows it's at %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves
@night eagle was referring to the planner..thanks alot bro, finally figured it out 😆
That's the wilderness farm. @gloomy pine
Which one?
I've looked some of their plan, it seems like they used standard, hill-top and wilderness farm. @gloomy pine
All of them; you can choose at the start of the game. :)
anyone got any tips before I try to plan for today?
I have a hard time not obsessing over tiles/flooring so that would be helpful lmao
here is my first plan for example
What farm are you basing off of? Same one?
nah, standard
Ah damn, was gonna say try to follow the curved lines but there’s none of that on standard lol
I just need tips in general lmao
Though there are some lovely standard plans out there that radiate outward from the larger pond for a softer look
From your first plan above some key things would be:
- more grazing room for animals (though that'll be less of a challenge on standard than riverland)
- Mills have infinite capacity, so you only need one unless you like the aesthetic
- you'll probably want more than two Oak Trees if you want to craft Kegs at a good pace (unless you're placing Tappers off the farm)
alrighty ty uwu
I’m loooking to make a good looking farm, what farm type should I use?
You can make a nice looking farm on any map, but the map will affect gameplay somewhat
yeah i never use modded farm plans.
anyone got tips for planning on mobile?
I mean like on the farm planner lmao
I’ve tried to use the farm planner on mobile and it’s a pain in the buns. Not worth the frustration imo, I wait until I have computer access instead.
I have a computer but I'm lazy
just use a computer
any tips in general for planning stuff
horses need 2 block width in order to traverse vertically
can anyone see my messages, cause apparently i`m invisible
yeah I can
yes or no?
Yes. Very stately
nice, thanks
Hey, forrest, sorry but i ant get the plan done today.
i have an essay due in 3 hours.
BTW, for my forest farm, im cutting out some areas to grow a ton of trees
and im making a standard where it's all carved through a supermassive grove on the whole farm.
lowkey wish you could change a color of the chest on planner
@storm girder thanks bro I just spent a day doing my farm now ima have to do it again cause that's so clean
Damn
Haha, thank you!
yes or no?
@storm girder I love how it is very organized and pleasing to look at.
no worries, Cat! get it done whenever you have the time to, no rush
hi sorry i bet you get this question a lot but is there a minimum amount i have to donate to get a room for the multiplanner?
That's a good question for hpeinar#9459 :)
i think this looks better than my old layout
ahh really good
this is the mod
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2790
but im using a version before because fences are changed a bit on the latest version
fixed
The base game has five (craftable) path and six (craftable) floor (tile) choices
Where are the other two?
Robin sells the recipes
what gets me about being able to put fences on paths, is how does that work if theyre not actually in the ground
maybe this is one of those things youre not supposed to think too much on
what kinda grass is that tho
so much better cyro
can someone walk me through how they plan
Aces modded map
I plan via the type of the farm I wanna do
For example. A Fish farm
Or an Animal specific farm
usually building placement is a good place to start
where in general is a good place for buildings?
wherever you want them to be
personally i like to put the stable directly against the house, on the left
Can you guys send pics of ur farms
why so many ponds lmao
yooo!!! cheese producers instead of fences are actually so smart
Lampposts as grass anchors is cool too
If that's so many ponds, though, I'd be embarrassed to post mine
Same
Here is a not-normal amount of ponds. Robin and Willy are planning on having a serious talk with me about my roe problem
oh the junimo hut areas are cute
Thanks! I wanted to give them woodsier homes without having wild tree seeds drop all the time
Thank you @opaque rampart for showing me that I can put stuff in the big stump areas of the forage farm. I'm going to fit so many ponds in there
I put animals there, so I still get the hardwood daily 🙂
But you can put other things there instead
What map is that
Is see it a lot and I’m assuming it’s a mod
Mine is Immersive Farm 2 Remastered, an addon for the Stardew Valley Expanded mod
It goes further down, even, but I cut the screenshot off
Ok thanks
Full basement!
Nice!
Only took 10 hours to restock.
Yes but worth it.
That’s super cute!
Maybe to the right of the big pond? Big open area
yeah that might be a good are for it too
I stuck mine in kinda weird places but I'm making it work.
I only have the fish ponds on the far left of the map at the moment
I put my beehives in between the greenhouse and grandpas shrine
But idk if you plan to put something there or not
.... does your character look like Jasmine?
Yup. Custom made
Nice!
Yes
coz it'd be so fierce if the horse becomes a tiger
Thank you again Uzzlegorf. I think I fit about 15 ponds on my farm
😍
And the dog/cat be the tiger
update- added more sheds and stuff below
what else should i put in the empty area
im thinking of a slime hutch and bee houses
dude what map is that? thats sikkkk
mid planning
this farm is a little harder to do
bc its not on a grid and to optimize space stuff really cant be symetrical for the most part
also conflicted on what type of flooring to use and how to run the paths
That's the hill-top farm :)
2 stables..?
They have a cabin as well so it looks like they're going to be playing with someone else
Oh I missed that
Hi @storm girder I listened to your advise and placed the beehouse right side of the pond. This is what I have right now
You can walk through flowers
how dafuq can I recreate this? ... I tried, but the only thing I've got was a few blocks placed and a headache
@proven silo that looks awesome! Your farm is super cute bro 😭
all farms are really nice
@proven silo I also am liking it! would love to see how it renders
like the beehouse heart
working on shed placement
I like to make the sheds look like a little town
I am not as in love with this farm as I was with the first one I made but the hill top farm does come with more challenges
I almost like the less "organized" or patterned hilltop farms but it is so in my nature to make things like on a grid and symetrical and optomized
but lots of the other hilltop farms I see dont do that bc of its shape.
I am conflicted on if I like the shed placement
when I made my standard farm it was like wow I have way to much space to work with what am I gonna fill this all with with this one its much more restricted
any recommendations?
good point! this is my first farm and it doesn't look too pretty right now so im just planning for when I actually have the funds lol
I would try and plan some sheds in
bc most ppl fill them with crystalariums or thats where they put their ferneces and such
I personally dont like slime hutches but like idk if thats just a me thing.
looks like u have some hives u wont be able to acess?
Thank you! I do see that I'm thinking I'll realistically put kegs there instead of the hives
I also don't really like the slime hatch but since I already have it I'm just planning to fit it in there
kk
well in that case if ur just planning for rn and not the future that space where u have the hutch u could use for sheds late game
u could easily fit 4 there if need be
I have 6 sheds on my farm plan
mine is planned for late game
this is the plan for my main farm I am currently planning out a hilltop one
Woah that's so pleasing to the eye! I'll definitely keep planning until I get it to what I really like
I looked at what a lot of other ppl had out on their farms
I saw a lot of ppl had a ton of sheds. I also watched some youtube tours. (the farm doesnt look like that yet but thats what I want it to look like in the end)
and I started with the big objects and worked around those
u can cram a lot into the base farm lol
yours is looking really good I like how u used the flowers as an outliner
Thank you! I will definitely keep that in mind, do you have any recommendations on who to watch for the tours?
I just watched the top ones and dangourslyfunny just bc I like his channel
but also u gotta know like are u planning for end game or a mid game
bc the farm kinda has to evolve as u go u know
bc u wont be able to afford 6 sheds off the bat lol
sorry if this sounds dumb but whats the difference between planning for mid or end game wouldn't you plan for the end always? or what you hope for it to look like?
or is mid game planning just planning with what you currently have
that would make sense im just not using my brain rn
I mean I plan for late game but ya thats what I meant
liek r u gonna want that slime hutch when ur filthy rich rolllin in the dough
I watch what other ppl had on their farms
and there will be somethings u like and want out that other ppl dont have like some ppl dont even have barns late game they just make wine but Ik I wanted lots of animals bc its one of my fav things in the game
or some ppl use barns for storage which asthetically I didnt like
and then I would think of lagistcally where to put the stuff like the silos u dont need to acess much so I kinda stuffed mine in the corner but other ppl will use them decoratively
alright now I need some criticues
I am planning to add bee hives some where just dont know where yet
this isnt finished
not sure if I like the sheds
I'm still not done with mine but I'm loving the planner so much
that slime hatch so bid I should probably remove it
Looks good so far to me! I know the slime hutch isn't popular, but I feel like the standard farm gives you enough room that you can fit it if you want
I assume u mean put
@proven silo I might suggest doing a main flooring and an accent flooring
looking really good
yes
hilltop
and I beleive I just finished... whats ur thoughts? I would love critiques
hazd a much harder time planning this one
Looking good!
i think the wood/stones combo was better than only wood imo ? a really great farm layout though . super nice !
Tbh I only have the farming plots outlined in my farm so it's easier to dig up every season
Add more obelisks
do u need a mod to see the farm all zoomed out like that?
Nope, since 1.4 it's been built in for all except Xbox and mobile: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Options#Screenshots . A lot of these plans come from Stardew Planner and/or are rendered by upload.farm instead, though (see pins on this channel)
Mobile got the update tho
All platforms have 1.4, yes, but Xbox and mobile don't have the in-game screenshot feature. Mobile can use https://upload.farm/ though :)
i dont get the horse area
Must I make a new farm :(
its a good farm pugna!
^
thanks mate
YAY IT'S DONE DOWNLOADING
Pls no me need new farm
That would be 11 years and 16oh down the drain
IT'S LOADING UP OOP
I backed up my files just in case
Odin... it seems to be frozen on the loading screen...
Uh... help
I'm gussied I'm reloading
It's not loading :(
feelsbadman
It keeps freezing on loading screen :(((
Oof
If all else fails, you could try downgrading to a previous version between your current one and the one you were using before for that farm, save the file on that version, and the update back to your current version and try loading it again
What's the issue Cakewalker?
It keeps freezing on the loading screen
I backed up my old save files and delete the current data incase it wasn't sure what to do... and that didnt work
I tried restarting my phone
And I tried redownloading the app
How dose one uninstall a mobile update
Maybe you can on Android? I don't use that OS though, so Idk. I'd ask in #vanilla-tech-support
:/ okay I'll do that when i get a chance
anyone got a good forest farm design
Thoughts?
Beautiful
Why so many scarecrows though and how are you watering things?
Oh
Some of those purple dots I thought were scarecrows were actually sprinklers nvm
Nah hah. Plus I have mods on so I have the tractor. Makes it easy
And the scarecrows are mainly there for aesthetic look
any thoughts?
i think it looks nice imo. where's the empty space though? it looks pretty filled to me.
err
everywhere?
below the fish ponds, above the fish ponds, on the right of the fish ponds, on the left of the fish ponds, above the crops, on the left of the sheds
empty paths are basically empty space that weeds don't spawn on
it's not being used
oh. i like having lots of walking space like that on my farms. feels less cluttered to me.
to each their own.
idk I'm too used to not-standard farm maps with low tillable soil tiles
yeah I just like being hyperefficient
i just want enough space for my horse and i to move freely
i originally had sheds on top of the fish ponds but didn't like how it lined up
Is 16 too many ponds? What do you guys think of my farm?
I think its good
Never too many ponds! And it's nice that your pigs get to keep some fish of their own
what is the perpose of the ponds
For fish
The fish multiply on their own if you want to just fish them. They put sellable roe in their chum buckets. Some fish yield other useful items sometimes instead. Plus, it's like keeping an aquarium! 🐟 🐠 🐡
@opaque arch Loving it! I think its much improved too. Its still rather simple but I think there is something nice about simple style farms. it looks clean and organized. I do think that if u wanted to add more things you definitely could but its not necessary (I jam pack my farm but that's a style choice). something to think about is will u be watering all the outlining flowers by hand? I think the only real criticism I have is I don't like the lightning rod placement very much looks out of place I would recommend making them more of a design feature or sometimes if i think it doesn't match the aesthetic of the farm ill strategically hide them bc they can sometimes be an eye sore. other than that its really awesome and very beautiful ❤️
how useful are the obelisks late game bc I kind of hate their look
You can totally skip them if you want, the return scepter is the one that's really useful
And you can always craft warp totems to use instead of the buildings
I might just add a mod to unugly them
there are some mods that really make them pretty 🙂
guess rice doesnt render on the planner yet?
Rendering is handled by upload.farm, they said they're aware of the issue but haven't had time to fix it yet
alrighty
someone gimme something to do on the planner, quick
w o w XD
no crops, fish only
can I get some feedback on a plan? I'm trying to make it look kinda cute and natural-ish, I'm also having trouble deciding what path to use.
also not super worried about using every inch to my advantage, but if there’s something crucial I’m missing do let me know
The soft lines are very nice, particularly the way you've optimized the Iridium Sprinklers but broken up their visual massing. Could use some Lightning Rods, but otherwise it's lovely
What should I add on my farm? Any reccomendations for the bottom left and right parts?
More farmland, maybe a slime hutch and/or fish ponds, depending on what you plan on adding
I really like your layout so far it’s super cute
@silk dove thank you! I wish I could make it look more green around the sheds and in between the bee houses and upper garden, but I’m not sure how.
oh, and I’ll probably add the lightning rods up behind the greenhouse or somewhere out of sightish hehe
@strange walrus grass starters can be placed on the green "meadow" tiles on the forest farm, but they will not spread. Crops (including flower crops) also cannot be placed on the green meadow tiles, because it's not tillable soil.
Buildings (like barns, coops, and sheds) can be placed on green meadow tiles. Fruit trees can also be placed on most of the meadow tiles (but not all).
@fervent granite good to know! I mainly placed it there on the plan for aesthetic, I’ll probably use flower bins and such to add color instead of actual flowers now that I know that
thumbs up
@storm girder tysm! I'll try to pick the place where the slime hutch fits
@woven lava HELLO! ill probably be able to finish the plan over the quarrantine. (American) ill have it done soon!
if anyone wants any tips for planning or the game, im open to give advide!
I would love some planning advice sksk
thanks so much!!
covid-19 just reached my province and the government is meeting today to decide whether or not to close down schools so hopefully they do
design isn't mine, I just thought it would look nice with the visual mods I have
thoughts?
that looks so awesome, i love the hanging flowers
the grass flowers are a bit much for me but to each their own 😄
indeed, it looks really individual.
my farm so far, spring year 3, any recommendations?
a bit more sheds probs, but a nice organised farm
thats is what i plan to do next, sheds for kegs for wine
Nice rarecrow display! If you're going to keep the meteorite instead of breaking it, what about a putting a flower garden around it with some bee houses? Fairy roses would look great around there
i might destroy the meteor, I plan on making a large bee farm in that area
very cute
thanks!
your farm is very pretty!! im thinking of downloading some mods but that would mean i have to change my whole farm's look
so many beautiful farms i've been scrolling for the past 30 mins
i just downloaded discord again since i have so much free time now. just lost my job because of the quarantine 🤘🏼🤪 fr tho planning my farm is my only way of coping now
this is my final plan for my farm! my gameplay is currently in winter so i have plenty of time to running around and shuffle things here and there
hell yeah symmetry
but sadly the apricot trees in the back wont grow ://
and one of the cherry trees wont grow
need the 8 tiles surrounding them to be free of flooring/grass/literally anything
i love symmetry!! im a bit of a perfectionist i'll get really crazy when it comes to this kinda thing😩
yeah but there's just like some spots where you cant plant anything on the farm
if i download mods will it only affect my new save files or all my game files? 🤔🤔
all saves as far as im aware
at least with things like aesthetic mods etc
Though most aesthetic mods (not adding new crops/characters/areas/etc.) have no permanent effect on your saves, so removing the mods puts you back to standard
maybe i'll just use the other mods like as you said new crops and areas mod instead of the aesthetics
yeah aesthetic mods be temporary so if you dont like em u just yeet
@woven lava Canadian?
@icy pasture DM Me specific questions.
@oak cape i would have a bit of fun with some kind of shed area. maybe an orchard of some kind?
@stone folio Thanks, it took me a bit to find the mods I wanted... I did a lot of experimenting. Easiest way to get a gif of it was to put it on reddit, lol https://www.reddit.com/r/FarmsofStardewValley/comments/fjy4pl/my_first_farm_lots_of_experimenting_with_layouts/
Thanks xD Im trying to wait for spring so I can get a spring picture but I was impatient
yeah I’m from Canada
Do you guys want to see my Fall in game schedule so I know what's going on and which stuff I need to replant the day before? This one is with SpeedGro+Agriculturalist
hi, is there an ideal money making farm to aim for? im about to start year 3
yes certainly @vapid lotus
also @dusty monolith large crops of star fruit In the summer made into wine is good, as well as ancient fruit in the greenhouse
Are you looking for high sell value of roe/aged roe, good non-roe loot drops or both?
go for squid and sturgeon
I have one of these for each month. I had a slow day at work one day and I was bored @icy pasture
GH is for green house as I have fruit trees and need to clear them every 3 days
This is the schedule with Agriculturalist + Deluxe SpeedGro and sunflower continuing from Summer
okay
Sturgeon definitely for high value. I like Octopus for the Omni Geodes, but Lava Eel and Ice Pip are good for mining loot too
For a random, there are several fish that change the color of the pond. I think Super Cucumber make it pretty
okay thanks so much!!
woahhh, I love it
I'm going to make a just Deluxe SpeedGro version now that my job has closed until the 30th and I have plenty of time
I just used excel
Had all the info written down but wanted to make it prettier
I used excel to plan out my plots as well since I have the forest farm tillable land is a little scarce
I had finally got my spring plots to how I wanted them and then ConcernedApe added rice 😭
interesting
Do you want a copy of my Deluxe SpeedGro Schedule when I'm done?
y e s
Is cooking in this game actually useful/balanced?
i find it pretty useless bc it's pretty hard to be self sufficient with cooking
Theres a mod that makes it a little more useful, Cooking Skill on Nexus. Sells for more and I think gives you more perks per whatever meal you're making. I'm hoping CA expands a little more on the cooking - that'd be pretty awesome.
dm HIM AND ask!
but no, sashimi is OP when cooked, and using fried eggs is OP early game
cooking is useful if you have the materials
I like the idea of using the beehive heart as a centerpiece for the farm
tho i'll probably have to break one everyday until they fully grow to water them
that’s super cute!
Thank you! I might simplify the watering thing with some sprinklers, unless you can water through beehives with the watering can?
With a fully upgraded watering can you could reach all of those flower tiles from just outside the heart
Or actually Steel or higher would work
oh nice! that's far more convenient
@here can I request a modded farm be added here?
@icy pasture Good job with that! i'd reccomend leaving one open most of the time. once you get sprinklers, it's a simple task.
so i learned something new about myself and i think i might be a tiny bit ocd and i am doing the budget to do that challenge and im wonder if i might have bitten off to much
alright, thank you! then I'll probably alter it a little so there's a center
an update on my farm :')
so cute! looks like a little town :3
thank u!
so cuteee
@sharp pumice message @/hpeinar#9459 to talk about adding farms!
Progress of my first farm!
It's the 2nd day of Summer Year 3, and finally I am envisioning how my layout would be. I used the Stardew Planner to plan how it will go. Will add the buildings in the West part once I meet the requirements. Then in the middle will be farm space.
Second Farm, I haven't made this in game yet but what do you guys think?
replace about all of the beehives with sheds.
also, if you have that much grass,
use more barns/coops/
Inevitable - I like it! I’m a fan of bees (in game and out) so I think the level of beehives is 👌 Do you keep any wool making animals? I didn’t see any spinning wheels with the fleet of mayo/cheese makers, but if you don’t do rabbits or sheep then there’s no need
the mill does that.
and bees are your call! bee's are cool!
Ex; one of my plans!
Good to see your silos are in order for winter. If you want to eventually fill your barn and coop, you should plan on expanding their yards significantly to the south for plenty of grazing space
Planning on doing that and im also making a chest section south of the pond to store my items.
Ooh, lots of ponds! You can find the tea bush under the spring crops menu
Decided to make a new design on standard farm, how was this? (P.S - It's not finished yet.)
ahh thanks kdau! The 4 corners farm already has a fishing pond down in that corner so I figured I could turn it into a whole pond space 😄
Wren that's so pretty!
with iridium sprinklers you can make those little farm plots bigger, but if you have quality ones you're perfect
another update !
so pretty o_o
Thats so cute
does this look cool? i need some opinions (obviously the placing is wrong but yeah)
anyone have tips on what i can add to the highlighted areas?
Here's the updated version of my farm.
It’s so pretty!!
so pretty!!!
I used to play on pc but I mainly play switch now so I really miss all the mods :(
that looks really nice wren
Does anyone else want Deluxe SpeedGro planting calendars?
Can the planner be used to make more space on the farm?
I am running out of space
Just want to expand the usable farm area on a current save game
The planner is just a website that lets you plan your farm layout. It's not a game mod or anything that actually interacts with Stardew itself
It sounds like what you're looking for is a mod that increases farm size, I'd recommend asking in #archived-modded-support about that, there are many different farm map mods :)
@swift axle i love the skins
@white osprey thank you <3
does anyone have tips for planning the riverfarm
The water makes natural fences, so you just need gates at the bridges to turn one of the islands into a pasture. Think carefully about where you'll put buildings, as they can be a tight fit, especially the Slime Hutch. Also consider how you'll travel through the farm daily, as there are limited path options
@wise steppe No, I do not have sheep or rabbits, I prefer goats, pigs, cows, chickens, and dinosaurs over those.
@gloomy pine dinosaurs and pigs are where it’s at. I only got rabbits to finish out the community center and I need to offload them on Marnie to make space in the coop
i tried to make something nice but now there is just a giant empty space near the bottom, any advice?
That might be a good spot for flowers.
Not enough grass space for your animals
With six buildings you need like nine or ten silos
Trying to figure out how to decorate the mine entrance
The Dwarf is there like ????? Why is this human leaving their junk here.
😂
I added more sheds to my farm cause why not?
you can never have too many sheds!
plus i hate when i see my craftings all over the area
@exotic wren i saw a mine enterance where they had the dwarf's area all displayed on nightstands, so it looekd like a LoZ shop. (mods)
@wise steppe I did the exact same thing
@drifting bobcat unfortunately I’m playing on switch so no mods for me :p I figured like most dwarves I’d turn him into a hoarder, especially since he likes to go rob people at night
@exotic wren Im on switch too! no mods for me! although i do use any glitch i get my hands on
Anyone got any designs of the shipping box corner that look pretty? 😄
Messing with barn designs
@exotic wren oh dang, I didn’t even think to decorate inside the barn. That looks really nice!
I’ve been trying to decorate the entire town to some extent xD
damn everyone decorating on point while im out here doing horrible first time ever in fall
The sewer is getting somewhere
Safety first! Then diamonds
Trying to turn the railroad into a lumber yard for Robin - don’t like the flowers in front of the fence, going to change that to something else
ooo thats cute
@exotic wren bro all of your builds are so cute and creative 😩💞💖
Aw thank you, im trying to finish up my farm now that I’m back in spring... unfortunately didn’t get the giant pumpkin I wanted last year so I have to hope it happens this year xD
@exotic wren we need to get you the role of "interior planner"
Still tweaking a bunch of things and waiting for misc stuff to grow, but have the general plan down I think (can the switch take higher res screenshots? It’s killing me here)
wtf your farm looks so cute
meanwhile mine is ugly
(kind of)
This is what my farm looks like on vanilla.
also yes, I have slime hutch.
Awww it’s so tidy and organized though, and you have so much room!
but it looks so cute w/ the mods that I have.
I’ve never tried the regular map before
versus when I have mods.
My other farm
Oh cutteee
Me and my daughter are trying to decide between the four corners map or the mining one to do co-op on
your farm looks like a little town it's so cuteee @swift axle
My hilltop!
Looks good
Then this is mine and a friends future co-op standard. :D I was so excited to share it.
If anyone has suggestions i'd love to hear it. I plan to decorate other places too like the quarry and the railroad area. Whoever posted the screenshot of the railroad up above - its absolutely beautiful!
anyone have any cool farm designs i can use?
near complete (year 3) thoughts?
you sure you wanna use wood fences with how quick they corrode?
they are hardwood
Survival farm designs please?! 😄
😄
currently wip
should i swap the silo to the other side in my machine for foods section?
HMM
@gloomy pine i like the silo where it is personally, but it's up to you!
so prettyyyy
01+
oo extending the kids room out, interesting take
Has anyone else got some cool forest farm ones?
And wilderness farm please?
try r/FarmsofStardewValley
gimme tips for design pls (year 2)
:d
My little new farm : )
https://upload.farm/static/renders/1Jjyvf/1Jjyvf-plan.png
my farm atm, idk why some trees arent displayed. theres also more stonepath around the small quarry and the pond at the bottom. the planner doesnt seem to like me
also the crystalariums etc are missing, wow
4 corners is longer than all the other maps so the bottom part doesnt like to render flooring
my four corners map, im pretty happy with how it looks
ah ok, well you can at least guess hopw it looks xD
anyone got planning requests? im boredd
woah everyones farms look so pretty!!
soooooo prettyyyyyy
I'm redesiging my farm and I regret it :')
I’ve been busy clearing out the trees but im still debating on how im gonna set the paths and stuff
I'm finally done reeee
I like it!
should i keep 4 sets of bee house or two - and replace it with shed?
ah ok
but i don't know if i should keep it 4 or 2
I think it's pretty
if you're considering removing any, I think I saw you say something bout a shed
then maybe take out the top two sections nd put a shed there?
but you have several in place as is.. I think it's a prefrence call
I think it looks good as is
yeah i have 5 sheds
I just finished :D
I'm planning to remove the shed beside the fish pond and replace it w/ something else
that works, Wren, looks nice 🙂
Lowkey love this mod w/ this design but if only the silo doesn't look like that :')
These are The Flower Valley buildings right? You might want to look at Gwen's medieval buildings mod, it has a similar design but with multiple config options for each building.
Gwen's mod is amazing, I'm using that one
same
@marble bison i would love that house mod
Pls give link?
The buildings
the one in the pic?
I like it better than my current
Yeah
But is Gwen's better. What does the silo look like
I don't have that mod, let's see if @swift axle has it handy, or can point you in the right direction
I'll grab Gwens
It’s flower valley mod
I like my Victorian and all but it doesn't seem to fit into. Farm
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/users/51171631?tab=user+files&BH=1 Bunbun, I don't see the mod pack that has all the buildings in one, I know it did exists, but I am not seeing it listed, however, that's the link to all of her mods, so you can grabs the ones' you want
xD hi there
LOVE your work!! ❤️
-tries really hard not to fangirl- (fails and loses the ability to type)
he he e
yeah that's something I've been considering trying my hand at
but uh...
not really sure I'mma be capable
this one
My farm so far (Pig farm)
ANy ideas to fill up the middle? Maybe a junimo hut?
That farm is super cute! Whats the retexture for the buildings cause I need it @gloomy pine
@sterile hare it's gwen's medieval buildings mod!
thank you
BEAUTIFUL
first day of summer planted. now to get off the game. I tend to play a season a sitting
https://prnt.sc/rlmze7 redesigning this lil area, any suggestion?
I hated how my farm looked before so I decided to re-design it (again)
I'm a returning player...
Was wondering which farm default layout is best?
forest
Here's the finished design.
looks really nice!
Holy smokes... I must have this farm
hi I am sorry....my question isn't actually a planner issue but I can't find a right channel to ask....so I am new to the game and trying to get through my first year....and I come across with a guide said "Potato – 213 gold profit per crop " but when I check the wiki potato should only be 80g? how did he get 213 instead....
https://www.gamerevolution.com/guides/70045-stardew-valley-the-best-and-most-profitable-crops-for-each-season#/slide/1 here is the guide I am reading
@naive pulsar that question is better asked in #stardew-spoilers but its okay that you asked it here! I'm not sure how they got 213, but generally you get the profit by multiplying the price of each potato by the number of harvests (4) and subtracting the price of the seeds, which actually comes to 295
if i did anything wrong someone let me knoe
know
@raw karma thanksss! I noticed that now and asked in #stardew-spoilers few mins ago!
oh whoops i barely check there
i need plan
@gloomy pine i do the same with grass hehe
@swift axle what are the buildings next to the green house?
@grim agate that’s the slime hutch
Hello everyone
So I am in Fall Year 2 and I have made a farm on Stardew Valley Planner that I am working towards.
There's a lot of empty space on that plan and I was wondering if I could post it here for suggestions?
yes just send the plan
I'd like to keep the metorite and do some decorations around it. Put the clock near it eventually.
The wooden floor path will have fruit trees
All suggestions welcome😊
you could put the obelisks in
also more fish ponds
you could even add more sheds and fill them with kegs or preserve jars
What about area near greenhouse? Any ideas
Already filled the two centre sheds with kegs
I am going more towards aesthetic planning than monetary😄
I think you could add some decorations near grandpa's shrines
good idea
@mighty turtle if you plan to put fruit trees, i think you will need 2 spaces wide between every fruit trees unless you downloaded the better fruit trees mod or planned to grow only the regular trees there
and maybe you can move the ponds next to the greenhouse and put a silo next to each barns instead? just a suggestion though! you can put two fish ponds on each side of the north entrance? or line it up on the other side of the greenhouse, in front of grandpa's shrine.
I haven't put the fences and paths where i plan to put the fruits tree seeds. Will put after they've grown
Thanks for the suggestions
@stone folio
Wip
good WIP. i'd cut out a few of the beehives for other stuff. but that's more me.
beehives generally suck in the long term.
i just use some sportticaly scattered in the blank areas of my farm.
Riverland
no, that's hill top
...jesus am I sleepy
sleepppp
@drifting bobcat what would your recommend replacing them with?
i'd put trees, maybe cut the left feild out and give the animals more space, if you want that many.
@everyone
yes
whatchu need two horses for @drifting bobcat
Not sure about CatBagel's case specifically, but tractors from the Tractor Mod are actually reskinned horses (they can wear hats! 🎩 🚜 ), so when rendered outside the game (like by upload.farm) a tractor shed looks like another horse stable
Hey, is there a place where I can find stardew planner? And is it downloadable?
It's a web app. Second pin on this channel
Thank you
@gloomy pine did you use a mod to get the buildings looking so cute?
@somber sage yus 🙂
@gloomy pine i designed that farm for co-op with my brother.
also, when i play on PC, i have a tractor shed instead of two.
i just dump the other horse on the farmhand.
ahhh fair
yeah, before the update, i used barns as sheds.
so i have plans like this.
all the barns on the bottom right sub into sheds.
Tree-lined promenade! 🌲
🌲
Is there a Stardew planner for mobile
16th of winter first year. Any thoughts?
My brother and I are working on this farm 🙂
@reef cloud how long did that take you
I don't know,I have 117h in this save but I've got every achievement too
no, just a lot of time
(sarcasticaly) i like the idea of having random areas of dense trees.
Wait where? xD
From what I can see, the upper left(closest to the shrine) is a Tapper area.
Below that could be for wood collection.
Now Kyoko you Are Exactly right
Im just Waiting for The trees to grow, Im in Serious need of Wood
But i Do have The Quarry for Wood too
Untill i get The last structures up, just chopping some wood
Still don’t know what to do with the last land in the middle tho
you could use it for fruit trees both for the look and some extra money
Oh i Got that in my green house
What about Mushroom Trees?
You'd have to wait until fall and just hope one will grow and then let them spread.
Where is a good place to get amethyst? Like what mine levels are good or other places
Hi! You might find more advice on that in #stardew-spoilers , but Amethyst Nodes can be found randomly in all levels of the mines. For other sources, see: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Amethyst
(I think the Super Cucumber fish pond is the prettiest way to get Amethyst personally. You can use the Stardew Planner to figure out where to put your fish ponds!) 🟣 🐟
For further more information...
@hybrid relic USE CINDERSNAP FOREST FOR WOOD GATHERING
THe TrEesS GRoW ReALLY FaST ThERE
I'm a fairly inexperienced player, so bear with me, I have some q's
I am using the planner, and the wood floors do not look as good as MImbo's for example, is that just cause in the planner it repeats how the individual tile looks over, rather than combining nicely how they do in-game?
Why tf aren’t there stardew cheats anymore
Yep. You can render your plan with upload.farm to see the prettier floors and other niceties
Okay I'm gonna try that
I'm working on a build now
my first time

Trying to decide what to do with the space in front of the main house.
I want my farm to specialize in hot peppers, maple syrup, and some certain fishies

And I've already got that covered currently
It's a good start! Plenty of sheds, nice flower garden, letting your chickens chat with your fish
Might want to toss in a few oak and pine trees alongside the maples so you'll have those products on hand when you need them (crafting kegs, fertilizer, etc.)
Yes! For sure
I just hadn't decided how I wanted to organize it yet
I think it could look pretty if I checkered them
but the timings for the different tar/resin/syrup is different isn't it?
Ooh, yes. Especially in fall
@hazy prairie Most of the old ones were patched, but if you're not playing on console there are still ways
Yeah, the tappers vary. Here's the table: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Tapper
hmm
Maybe I'd just wait 9 days for the other two so I always harvest on same schedule
it's less efficienct but much easier
I had it on switch and then I bought it on ps4 because I read online that the cheat would work but it was still patched on ps4 rip
Ah, yeah. We'd mod them for you if we could, but alas 🎮 🤷
Truffles starting to overflow
@drifting bobcat But there's alomost no space in the Cindersap Forest to plant trees?
Almost
Okay, taking suggestions for what to do with the part in front
The basic goal for the farm is to specialize in certain fishies, hot peppers, and maple syrup. I think I have that already covered, so what else do you guys think would be nice?

Aight so hot peppers right?
Yeah, I got all them down in the bottom left rn
