sooo i have a save of sdv mobile on my chromebook, and i feel that if i reset my chromebook or installed sdv on another device it wouldnt transfer my save

and i was wondering if there was a way to backup my mobile save so if i played on another device id have my save im currently using

@tawdry sparrow I honestly have no idea. Chromebooks are weird compared to other OS or even other mobile OS. You would need to find out where the savedata is located on the Chromebook.
On other systems, a save file usually looks like a folder with a name something like PlayerName_625362738. But I don't know where on the Chromebook you would go looking for that.

I don't know if saves can be transferred from Chromebook to other platforms. If it works like Android then it should be able to.

If compressed folders are being a nuisance, here's an idea that is tedious but would probably work - download each of the 5 inside files from Google drive individually, then put them into New Folder 🤷

Im trying to get the cutscene from walking/riding from my farm to the bus stop everyday within 6am-4pm nothing...
From what i read from the wiki is that i should get the cutscene first which is not triggering to get the quest on my journal

Well a lot. But i solved it now. I just booted up vanilla sv and it triggered when i got the magnifying glass i just used the save backup of mobile then went back to smapi and its still there

#

But the majority of my mods is the whole ppja option of minervas harder community bundle and thats it with a few qol mods like automate and pfm

@hexed apex I think the savefile is on the host side, yes. If your current player name is fairly unique (something unrelated to any item names, place names that might be in the savefile) it should be fairly simple and you can try editing the save file directly.

Have your friend make a backup copy of the save folder first in case anything goes wrong. Then do a find and replace through the files to replace your old name with a chosen new one.

Ok so, I have it so that when I start up Stardew Valley, Smapi starts up and loads the mods. I did this via steam. Well, recently, to mod Skyrim, I had to move Steam's files so I am getting the error "The system cannot find the path specified" I know I gotta redirect but I cannot remember how. I have seen a few similar problems on a few forums after a Google search, but they advised to meddle with the files and I have a total lack of knowlege of how all of this works and don't want to be tricked into deleting something important (like system32, but less obvious)

Basically searching the name of your farmer and find > replacing every instance of it

Hello, so im fairly new to the game. That's very likely the issue then, especially if it's been a long time since you've played on the other one. Steam probably backed up the old year 1 save, you accidentally clicked the override when it gave the option, and poof :/

Couple things to try then - try reinstalling XNA/.NET, and if that doesn't work, try booting in safe mode and see if the game will launch that way. That helps us narrow down the issue

I'm not a Linux person by any stretch, but it looks like SMAPI is inside that folder. Is the issue that trying to run it doesn't work? I thought the issue was that Adrian couldn't install SMAPI

When your in the mines. How does the ladders work? Are they set when you enter the floor, or is it a random chance when you kill a monster and break the rocks?

The locations are set when you enter the floor. But when you kill monsters, new locations can spawn (with or without rocks on top of them).

There's a mod called ladder locator which can highlight all the ladders before you find them.

Hello! ❤️ Sorry to bother, but my SDV has been acting a bit weird lately. I play normally but after a couple of days in-game, when it's saving it just crashes and it my saved game disappears. When I look in my folder, my save file name is changed to "Alexia_236456048_STARDEWVALLEYSAVETMP". Same with the SaveGameInfo file.

I play through Steam.

Any idea what could be happening?

If I remove the STARDEWVALLEYSAVETMP, it works just fine again. But after a couple more in game days, it crashes again and goes back into the cycle.

no worries at all, yes it is done through steam -

Right click Stardew Valley in your Steam Library.
Then select 'Properties' from the popup.
After that a new 'Properties' window should show up.
Go to the 3rd tab, 'Local Files', and select; "Verify Integrity of Game Files

and if validating the files doesn't work then try and run the game as admin
