figured it out - if player A creates a new world, player B joins and A closes before B leaves, B character is consumed by the void, but if B leaves their character is solidified and saved properly

Any idea what to troubleshoot? My SDV started having choppy performance. Not related to computer specs, and I didn't install any new mods. Yesterday it worked fine, today I get these half a second freezes every 3-4 seconds or so.

Well, I've validated game files through Steam with no effect. I've also done the xna repair thing I found when googling. No effect there either. This happens both in fullscreen, borderless windowed, and windowed display modes.

Have the latest drivers for my 1080 Ti, and keep my Windows updated as well. And it literally worked yesterday like a charm and I didn't do anything in between.

Also tried the whole affinity thing some Ryzen owners were posting about on steam forums, giving the game only 1-2 cores instead of 16, with no luck.

In your Steam game folder, along with the folders for Stardew Valley and any other games, there should be a "Steamworks Shared" folder, with the installers for the dependencies... You could try restarting again, installing everything from there manually, then trying the game again.

Hi, I can't get Stardew to launch with SMAPI installed. I've used SMAPI before but have had it uninstalled for a while. I'm on mac, I have mono, no mods, and I can't get it to launch through steam or with the .exe file (when I click on StardewModdingAPI.exe it says "Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on MacOS) Everything is the latest version.

On Mac, you should just be launching as normal once you've installed SMAPI. Can you rerun the SMAPI installer? If you still can't get it to launch, you'll need to ask in #archived-modded-support (this is for vanilla issues)

Yep, SMAPI is only used as the mod loader, so any issues with it are mod issues

No I copy over the mods folder each time I update mods so the mods are always the same. And the more rings mod hasn’t been touched since the last update.

Hey guys, im in multiplayer and when i move my farmhands house it breaks the cellar. It shows us the cellar but our characters are not in the cellar, we can move around randomly until we see ourselves on the screen but we're outside of the cellar and can walk into the stairs so although we're not permanently stuck the cellar is not useable. It's happened again now and we can't see our characters at all.

Yes, 1.4.5 is the latest, but it could be an issue with the map not being updated properly for 1.4 in general. Unlikely, but also try power cycling both PS4s to clear their memory cache

Uh hi I'm on mac and I started using mods yesterday and everything was working fine until my game crashed today after I was asked to give my password for something about developer options? I don't quite remember. I clicked cancel a bunch of times and my game crashed. Then a weird message appeared on my terminal with 2 rows of === signs in the middle and now when I try to start the game it just starts normally without mods. I got it to work by copy/pasting the start command in my terminal history but after I quit the game it still starts normally when I launch it on steam. Can anyone help? sorry I don't remember much else.

The Error Code NP-32206-3 I did recieve when attempting to join, but after a couple of attempts I finally got in. I do sometimes get the error code too. Its not a PS4 bug / error code.

Hey guys, I have an issue with binding my keys for Stardew Valley. I'm using an AZERTY keyboard as opposed to the more common QWERTY keyboard, and I can't bind my number keys to my toolbar keys. It'll usually give me something like "Key is already in use. Try again..." even though the key clearly isn't in use. Is there a way I can figure out how to bind these keys through a config file? (I'm on Linux, also.)

I let my sister use the steam family sharing to let her play stardew valley, and she recently tried to use mods and change textures. She messed something up and deleted the modding api and tried to uninstall and reinstall the game. when you click play on steam the button turns into the blue button that says stop like normal, but nothing happens and it turns back into the play button after a few seconds. weve already tried verify integrity of game cache, uninstalling and reinstalling, and deleting startup_preferences.

tu peux probablement installer le jeu dessus, et héberger une partie dessus, avec le mod mis en lien et d'autres selon tes besoins, mais contrairement à d'autres jeux il n'y a pas à ma connaissance de façon d'héberger un serveur sans lancer le jeu.
You can probably install the game on it, host a game, with the linked mod and some others depending of your need, but unlike some other games there isn't way to host the game without launching the game itself.
Je ne sais pas si tu peux lancer plusieurs copies du jeu en même temps de différents pc, en revanche, je sais que tu peux lancer plusieurs copies en local avec smapi, sans souci.
I don't know if you can start multiple copy of the game in the same time from different computers however, i know you can start multiple copy of the game locally with smapi without issue.
On a le droit de parler en français sur le chan de support quand on a besoin de recevoir de l'aide, par contre je ne sais pas si là ça ne va pas être limité, puisque c'est le genre de chose qui a + de chance de recevoir réponse en anglais.

hi guys. I'm having some issues. I'm playing SVE with additional mods, which I've managed to get to work after a few tries. but randomly a few days ago I was playing on my main account (year 3) goofed up on dying something and went to reset to my last save point and it smashed together may main and my new account(year 1) I was still a girl.and it converted me back to my year one clothes but i was on my new accounts baby farm and the account was reading as a year one. I panicked a bit and closed out the app. I opened back up and it still read my main as year one so I logged in and reset to the last save point which (thank jeebus) set me back to year 3. but now any time I click to play on my profile the game completely freezes up on the load screen. I noticed there were a couple updates for the mods so i did that and it didnt help. I completely un installed SMAPI s version of the game and it also did nothing 😖 I've got 40+ hours on my main and I'm just getting my feet under me I don't want to restart. anyone got any clues? i play on android

Or a problem? I'm not sure what it is yet, but the bug I had before, where the screen would shrink when doing certain things has gotten worse. It used to go back to normal when restarting the game, but now it's stuck in the weird fullscreen, but not fullscreen mode. It also crashed several times yesterday.

You can backup your save files by going into your library on steam, right clicking stardew valley, going into properties, local files, and either 'backup game files' or by browsing local files and then going into your saves folder, copying them all and placing them in a separate folder somewhere on your desktop if you're worried.
