There are no Produce charts for Legendaries in the Fish Ponds Wiki page. The most I've seen is 1-3 roe for void salmon. Others are all 1 or 1-2.

Yes fruit cave gives more foraging xp, can be forgotten and still generate stuff, gives nice gifts, comboes with botanist/gatherer, allows to take shortcuts with CC bundles
