No. Just faster. Good for processing massive amounts of low-value crops, like cranberries and blueberries.
Where kegs outstrip everything is the ability to turn expensive crops into even more expensive wine. Starfruit, ancient fruit.

Yes. I only realized quite late that the quartz for bombs trade existed. It is good to empty my stocks once, but after that, not sure it is that useful. It might be a waste to even have an inventory dedicated to gather quartz in the SC, when there are so many other valuables. Might be ok to do in the first SC runs when you are sure you cannot go deep.

In my last run I had 350 moss on Y1. You need to plant many trees before green occurs and you are ok for almost ever

I would not recommend it. Farming will always be better than ranching and meadowlans is not really well designed for farming.

It is nice to try once, but it is not very good to me. Forest map is the easiest one imo.

I feel like the message isn't being sent through exactly that the no sprinkler thing can really make your life hard, with how much more non sprinklerable soil there is on it, among the fact that the farm will be really hard to traverse at first with how big it is and starting debris.

I never use them but I can easily see how good it is. Fish smokers are very fast (only take 50mins) so you don't need many, so you essentially save 10k if you would go for a fish smoker anyway

@velvet jacinth The one that allows you to know the price of everything helps doing better choices. The ones that makes you faster do make a difference over time even if their efficiency seems low. If you are rushing for mastery, xp books can be good. If you do not use a horse, horse book is skippable. If you do not have grass everywhere, grass book is skippable.

Speed books don't seem that noticeable when you're getting them but if you go back and compare with and without them then the difference is quite clear

Mushrooms gets you a free dehydrator this time around. I suppose to make up for nerfing mushrooms. (Yeah, I don't care if everyday mushrooms is claimed to be a "glitch"; they should have fixed it right away instead of letting it exist for all of 1.5 if it was a glitch.)

You don't need to be at the train station to pick up anything the train drops (mostly junk, imo). Anything the train drops will stay there until it despawns at the end of the day.

I think the biggest problem of the layout is that even with the headstart with chickens and blue grass, specialising in animals is still prohibitively slow and expensive to ramp up early, so you gotta make the income elsewhere till mid-late game anyway

Imho, Trees in the greenhouse is not that good except for banana and mango and maybe pomegranate. Once you get greenhouse you are not that far of GI. I think going for garden pots with pineapple is nicer. Even if deluxe retaining thingy comes late.

Doesn't need to be spoilered here, but some folks in the other channels won't have the 1.6 update until tomorrow or later. We on PC have had it since March, and spoilers have been in effect for all that content in 1.6 ever since, in those other two channels.

Hm it can be. The monsters do pack a punch, but you can always heal any damage they do. You can also just run through all the floors if you wanna just reach the end
